Numbers 25
1 And it remained Israel in Shittim and it began the people to commit fornication into [the] daughters of Moab.
И живљаше Израиљ у Ситиму, и народ стаде чинити прељубу са кћерима моавским.
2 And they invited the people to [the] sacrifices of gods their and it ate the people and they bowed down to gods their.
Оне позиваху народ на жртве својих богова, и народ јеђаше, и клањаше се боговима њиховим.
3 And it joined itself Israel to Baal Peor and it burned [the] anger of Yahweh on Israel.
И Израиљ приону уз Велфегора; и разгневи се Господ на Израиља.
4 And he said Yahweh to Moses take all [the] leaders of the people and impale them to Yahweh before the sun so may it turn away [the] burning of [the] anger of Yahweh from Israel.
И рече Господ Мојсију: Узми све кнезове народне, и обеси их Господу према сунцу, да се одврати гнев Господњи од Израиља.
5 And he said Moses to [the] judges of Israel kill everyone men his who have joined themselves to Baal Peor.
И рече Мојсије судијама Израиљевим: Побијте сваки своје који су прионули уз Велфегора.
6 And there! a man from [the] people of Israel [was] coming and he brought near to brothers his the Midianite [woman] to [the] eyes of Moses and to [the] eyes of all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel and they [were] weeping [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting.
И гле, један између синова Израиљевих дође и доведе к браћи својој једну Мадијанку на очи Мојсију и на очи свему збору синова Израиљевих; а они заплакаше на вратима шатора од састанка.
7 And he saw [it] Phinehas [the] son of Eleazar [the] son of Aaron the priest and he arose from among the congregation and he took a spear in hand his.
А кад то виде Финес, син Елеазара сина Арона свештеника, уста исред збора и узе копље у руку;
8 And he went after [the] man of Israel into the tent and he pierced through both of them [the] man of Israel and the woman into belly her and it was restrained the plague from on [the] people of Israel.
И уђе за човеком Израиљцем у шатор, и прободе их обоје, човека Израиљца и ону жену, кроз трбух, и преста погибија међу синовима Израиљевим.
9 And they were those [who] died by the plague four and twenty thousand.
И изгибе их од те погибије двадесет и четири хиљаде.
10 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
Тада рече Господ Мојсију говорећи:
11 Phinehas [the] son of Eleazar [the] son of Aaron the priest he has turned back rage my from against [the] people of Israel because was zealous he zeal my in midst of them and not I made an end of [the] people of Israel in zeal my.
Финес, син Елеазара сина Арона свештеника одврати гнев мој од синова Израиљевих отворивши ревност за ме међу њима, да не бих истребио синове Израиљеве у ревности својој.
12 Therefore say here I [am] about to give to him covenant my peace.
Зато му кажи: Ево дајем му свој завет мирни.
13 And it will belong to him and to offspring his after him a covenant of priesthood of perpetuity because that he was zealous for God his and he made atonement on [the] people of Israel.
И имаће он и семе његово након њега завет свештенства вечног, јер ревнова за Бога свог и очисти синове Израиљеве.
14 And [the] name of [the] man of Israel who was struck down who he was struck down with the Midianite [woman] [was] Zimri [the] son of Salu a leader of a house of a father of the Simeonite[s].
А човеку Израиљцу убијеном, који би убијен с Мадијанком, беше име Замрије, син Салманов, кнез од дома оца свог од племена Симеуновог.
15 And [the] name of the woman who was struck down the Midianite [woman] [was] Cozbi [the] daughter of Zur [was] a leader of tribes a house of a father in Midian he.
А убијеној жени Мадијани беше име Хазвија, кћи Сура кнеза народног у дому оца свог међу Мадијанима.
16 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses say.
И рече Господ Мојсију говорећи:
17 oppose The Midianites and you will strike down them.
Завојштите на Мадијане, и бијте их;
18 For [are] opposers they you by deceitfulness their which they have dealt deceptively to you on [the] matter of Peor and on [the] matter of Cozbi [the] daughter of [the] leader of Midian sister their who was struck down on [the] day of the plague on [the] matter of Peor.
Јер они завојштише на вас преварама својим, и претворише вас Велфегором и Хазвијом кћерју кнеза мадијанског, сестром својом, која би убијена у дан погибије која дође с Фегора.
