Numbers 25

1 And it remained Israel in Shittim and it began the people to commit fornication into [the] daughters of Moab.

I življaše Izrailj u Sitimu, i narod stade èiniti preljubu sa kæerima Moavskim.

2 And they invited the people to [the] sacrifices of gods their and it ate the people and they bowed down to gods their.

One pozivahu narod na žrtve svojih bogova, i narod jeðaše, i klanjaše se bogovima njihovijem.

3 And it joined itself Israel to Baal Peor and it burned [the] anger of Yahweh on Israel.

I Izrailj prionu uz Velfegora; i razgnjevi se Gospod na Izrailja.

4 And he said Yahweh to Moses take all [the] leaders of the people and impale them to Yahweh before the sun so may it turn away [the] burning of [the] anger of Yahweh from Israel.

I reèe Gospod Mojsiju: uzmi sve knezove narodne, i objesi ih Gospodu prema suncu, da se odvrati gnjev Gospodnji od Izrailja.

5 And he said Moses to [the] judges of Israel kill everyone men his who have joined themselves to Baal Peor.

I reèe Mojsije sudijama Izrailjevijem: pobijte svaki svoje koji su prionuli uz Velfegora.

6 And there! a man from [the] people of Israel [was] coming and he brought near to brothers his the Midianite [woman] to [the] eyes of Moses and to [the] eyes of all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel and they [were] weeping [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting.

I gle, jedan izmeðu sinova Izrailjevijeh doðe i dovede k braæi svojoj jednu Madijanku na oèi Mojsiju i na oèi svemu zboru sinova Izrailjevijeh; a oni zaplakaše na vratima šatora od sastanka.

7 And he saw [it] Phinehas [the] son of Eleazar [the] son of Aaron the priest and he arose from among the congregation and he took a spear in hand his.

A kad to vidje Fines sin Eleazara sina Arona sveštenika, usta isred zbora i uze koplje u ruku;

8 And he went after [the] man of Israel into the tent and he pierced through both of them [the] man of Israel and the woman into belly her and it was restrained the plague from on [the] people of Israel.

I uðe za èovjekom Izrailjcem u šator, i probode ih oboje, èovjeka Izrailjca i onu ženu, kroz trbuh, i presta pogibija meðu sinovima Izrailjevijem.

9 And they were those [who] died by the plague four and twenty thousand.

I izgibe ih od te pogibije dvadeset i èetiri tisuæe.

10 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.

Tada reèe Gospod Mojsiju govoreæi:

11 Phinehas [the] son of Eleazar [the] son of Aaron the priest he has turned back rage my from against [the] people of Israel because was zealous he zeal my in midst of them and not I made an end of [the] people of Israel in zeal my.

Fines sin Eleazara sina Arona sveštenika odvrati gnjev moj od sinova Izrailjevijeh otvorivši revnost za me meðu njima, da ne bih istrijebio sinove Izrailjeve u revnosti svojoj.

12 Therefore say here I [am] about to give to him covenant my peace.

Zato mu kaži: evo dajem mu svoj zavjet mirni.

13 And it will belong to him and to offspring his after him a covenant of priesthood of perpetuity because that he was zealous for God his and he made atonement on [the] people of Israel.

I imaæe on i sjeme njegovo nakon njega zavjet sveštenstva vjeènoga, jer revnova za Boga svojega i oèisti sinove Izrailjeve.

14 And [the] name of [the] man of Israel who was struck down who he was struck down with the Midianite [woman] [was] Zimri [the] son of Salu a leader of a house of a father of the Simeonite[s].

A èovjeku Izrailjcu ubijenome, koji bi ubijen s Madijankom, bješe ime Zamrije sin Salmonov, knez od doma oca svojega od plemena Simeunova.

15 And [the] name of the woman who was struck down the Midianite [woman] [was] Cozbi [the] daughter of Zur [was] a leader of tribes a house of a father in Midian he.

A ubijenoj ženi Madijanci bješe ime Hazvija kæi Sura kneza narodnoga u domu oca svojega meðu Madijancima.

16 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses say.

I reèe Gospod Mojsiju govoreæi:

17 oppose The Midianites and you will strike down them.

Zavojštite na Madijance, i bijte ih;

18 For [are] opposers they you by deceitfulness their which they have dealt deceptively to you on [the] matter of Peor and on [the] matter of Cozbi [the] daughter of [the] leader of Midian sister their who was struck down on [the] day of the plague on [the] matter of Peor.

Jer oni zavojštiše na vas prijevarama svojim, i prevariše vas Velfegorom i Hazvijom kæerju kneza Madijanskoga, sestrom svojom, koja bi ubijena u dan pogibije koja doðe s Fegora.
