Numbers 25
1 And it remained Israel in Shittim and it began the people to commit fornication into [the] daughters of Moab.
੧ਜਦ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਸ਼ਿੱਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ, ਤਦ ਲੋਕ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ।
2 And they invited the people to [the] sacrifices of gods their and it ate the people and they bowed down to gods their.
੨ਜਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਖਾਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਥਾ ਵੀ ਟੇਕਿਆ।
3 And it joined itself Israel to Baal Peor and it burned [the] anger of Yahweh on Israel.
੩ਸੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਬਆਲ ਪਓਰ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਲ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੜਕਿਆ।
4 And he said Yahweh to Moses take all [the] leaders of the people and impale them to Yahweh before the sun so may it turn away [the] burning of [the] anger of Yahweh from Israel.
੪ਫੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਧੁੱਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੰਗ ਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਤੋਂ ਟਲ ਜਾਵੇ।
5 And he said Moses to [the] judges of Israel kill everyone men his who have joined themselves to Baal Peor.
੫ਤਾਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਨਿਆਂਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬਆਲ ਪਓਰ ਨਾਲ ਰਲ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟੇ!
6 And there! a man from [the] people of Israel [was] coming and he brought near to brothers his the Midianite [woman] to [the] eyes of Moses and to [the] eyes of all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel and they [were] weeping [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting.
੬ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਦੇ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਕੋਲ ਰੋ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਇੱਕ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇੱਕ ਮਿਦਯਾਨੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ।
7 And he saw [it] Phinehas [the] son of Eleazar [the] son of Aaron the priest and he arose from among the congregation and he took a spear in hand his.
੭ਜਦ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਦੇ ਪੋਤੇ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਫ਼ੀਨਹਾਸ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨੇਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆ।
8 And he went after [the] man of Israel into the tent and he pierced through both of them [the] man of Israel and the woman into belly her and it was restrained the plague from on [the] people of Israel.
੮ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚਾਨਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਢਿੱਡ ਨੂੰ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਵਾ ਰੁਕ ਗਈ।
9 And they were those [who] died by the plague four and twenty thousand.
੯ਉਸ ਬਵਾ ਨਾਲ ਚੌਵੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
10 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
੧੦ਫੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ,
11 Phinehas [the] son of Eleazar [the] son of Aaron the priest he has turned back rage my from against [the] people of Israel because was zealous he zeal my in midst of them and not I made an end of [the] people of Israel in zeal my.
੧੧ਹਾਰੂਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਦੇ ਪੋਤੇ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਫ਼ੀਨਹਾਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਟਾਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਣਖ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਣਖੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਣਖ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।
12 Therefore say here I [am] about to give to him covenant my peace.
੧੨ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਖ, ਕਿ ਵੇਖ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦਾ ਨੇਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
13 And it will belong to him and to offspring his after him a covenant of priesthood of perpetuity because that he was zealous for God his and he made atonement on [the] people of Israel.
੧੩ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਾਲੀ ਅੰਸ ਲਈ ਸਦਾ ਦੀ ਜਾਜਕਾਈ ਦਾ ਨੇਮ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਅਣਖੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਸਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
14 And [the] name of [the] man of Israel who was struck down who he was struck down with the Midianite [woman] [was] Zimri [the] son of Salu a leader of a house of a father of the Simeonite[s].
੧੪ਉਸ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜ਼ਿਮਰੀ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਮਿਦਯਾਨੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸਾਲੂ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।
15 And [the] name of the woman who was struck down the Midianite [woman] [was] Cozbi [the] daughter of Zur [was] a leader of tribes a house of a father in Midian he.
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਮਿਦਯਾਨੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮਾਰੀ ਗਈ ਸੂਰ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਕਾਜ਼ਬੀ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਦਯਾਨ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਸੀ।
16 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses say.
੧੬ਉਪਰੰਤ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ,
17 oppose The Midianites and you will strike down them.
੧੭ਮਿਦਯਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰੋ।
18 For [are] opposers they you by deceitfulness their which they have dealt deceptively to you on [the] matter of Peor and on [the] matter of Cozbi [the] daughter of [the] leader of Midian sister their who was struck down on [the] day of the plague on [the] matter of Peor.
੧੮ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਛਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਤਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਓਰ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੈਣ ਮਿਦਯਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਕਾਜ਼ਬੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਬਵਾ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਪਓਰ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮਾਰੀ ਗਈ।
