Numbers 24

1 And he saw Balaam that it was good in [the] eyes of Yahweh to bless Israel and not he went as time on time to meet omens and he set to the wilderness face his.

जब बिलआम ने यह ध्यान दिया कि इस्राएल को आशीर्वाद देने पर याहवेह प्रसन्‍न होते हैं, उसने पूर्व अवसरों के समान शकुन ज्ञात करने का प्रयास नहीं किया. उसने निर्जन प्रदेश की ओर अपना मुख स्थिर किया.

2 And he lifted up Balaam eyes his and he saw Israel dwelling to tribes its and it came on him [the] spirit of God.

जब बिलआम ने दृष्टि की, तो उसे गोत्र के अनुसार व्यवस्थित इस्राएली डेरे डाले हुए दिखाई दिए. परमेश्वर का आत्मा उस पर उतरा.

3 And he lifted up oracle his and he said [the] utterance of Balaam son his Beor and [the] utterance of the man opened of the eye.

उसने अपना वचन शुरू कर दिया: “बेओर के पुत्र बिलआम की वाणी, उस व्यक्ति की वाणी, जिसे दृष्टि दी गई है,

4 [the] utterance of [the] [one who] hears [the] words of God who vision of [the] Almighty he sees [who] falls down and [who] is uncovered of eyes.

यह उसकी वाणी है, जो परमेश्वर के वचन सुनता है, जो सर्वशक्तिमान का दर्शन देखा करता है, वह भूमि पर दंडवत पड़ा है, उसकी दृष्टि खुली है:

5 How! they are good tents your O Jacob dwelling places your O Israel.

“याकोब कैसे सुंदर लग रहे हैं, तुम्हारे शिविर, इस्राएल, तुम्हारे डेरे!

6 Like wadis [which] they are stretched out like gardens at a river like aloes [which] he has planted Yahweh like cedars at waters.

“जो फैली हुई घाटी के समान है, जो नदी तट के बगीचे के समान है, जो याहवेह द्वारा रोपित अगरू पौधे के समान, जो जल के निकट के देवदार वृक्ष के समान है.

7 It will flow water from buckets its and offspring its [will be] in waters many and he may be high more than Agag king its so it may be exalted kingdom its.

जल उसके जल पात्रों से हमेशा बहता रहेगा, उसका बीज जल भरे खेतों के निकट होगा. “उसका राजा, अगाग से भी अधिक महान होगा, उसका राज्य बढ़ता जाएगा.

8 God [is] bringing out it from Egypt like [the] horns of a wild ox [belong] to him it will consume nations opponents its and bones their it will break and arrows its it will wound [them].

“परमेश्वर उसे मिस्र देश से निकाल लाए; उसके लिए परमेश्वर जंगली सांड़ के सींग के समान हैं, वह उन राष्ट्रों को चट कर जाएगा, जो उसके विरुद्ध हैं, उनकी हड्डियां चूर-चूर हो जाएंगी, वह अपने बाणों से उन्हें नाश कर देगा.

9 It crouched it lay down like a lion and like a lion who? will he rouse it [those who] bless you [be] blessed and [those who] curse you [be] cursed.

वह शेर के समान लेटता तथा विश्राम करता है, किसमें साहस है कि इस शेर को छेड़ें? “सराहनीय हैं वे सब, जो उसे आशीर्वाद देते हैं, शापित हैं, वे सब जो उसे शाप देते हैं!”

10 And it burned [the] anger of Balak on Balaam and he clapped hands his and he said Balak to Balaam to curse enemies my I summoned you and here! you have blessed actually this three times.

बिलआम के प्रति बालाक का क्रोध भड़क उठा, अपने हाथ पीटते हुए बिलआम से कहा, “मैंने तुम्हें अपने शत्रुओं को शाप देने के उद्देश्य से यहां बुलाया था और अब देख लो, तुमने उन्हें तीनों बार आशीष ही देने की हठ की है.

11 And therefore flee for yourself to place your I said surely I will honor you and here! he has withheld you Yahweh from honor.

इसलिये अब भाग जाओ यहां से अपने देश को. मैंने चाहा था, तुम्हें बहुत ही सम्मानित करूंगा; किंतु देख लो, याहवेह ने यह सम्मान भी तुमसे दूर ही रखा है.”

12 And he said Balaam to Balak ¿ not also to messengers your whom you sent to me did I speak saying.

बिलआम ने बालाक को उत्तर दिया, “क्या, मैंने आपके द्वारा भेजे गए दूतों के सामने यह स्पष्ट न किया था,

13 If he will give to me Balak [the] fullness of house his silver and gold not I will be able to transgress [the] mouth of Yahweh by doing a good thing or a bad thing from own heart my [that] which he will speak Yahweh it I will speak.

‘चाहे बालाक मेरे घर को चांदी-सोने से भर दे, मेरे लिए याहवेह के आदेश के विरुद्ध अपनी ओर से अच्छाई या बुराई करना असंभव होगा. मैं तो वही कहूंगा, जो याहवेह मुझसे कहेंगे’?

14 And now here I [am] about to go to people my come! I will advise you [that] which it will do the people this to people your at [the] end of the days.

फिर अब यह सुन लीजिए: मैं अपने लोगों के बीच में लौट रहा हूं, मैं आपको चेतावनी दूंगा कि भविष्य में ये लोग आपकी प्रजा के साथ क्या-क्या करने पर हैं.”

15 And he lifted up oracle his and he said [the] utterance of Balaam son his Beor and [the] utterance of the man opened of the eye.

उसने अपना वचन इस प्रकार शुरू किया: “बेओर के पुत्र बिलआम की वाणी, उस व्यक्ति की वाणी, जिसे दृष्टि प्रदान कर दी गई है,

16 [the] utterance of [the] [one who] hears [the] words of God and [the] [one who] knows [the] knowledge of [the] Most High vision of [the] Almighty he sees [who] falls down and [who] is uncovered of eyes.

उस व्यक्ति की वाणी, जो परमेश्वर का वचन सुनता है, जिसे उन परम प्रधान के ज्ञान की जानकारी है, जो सर्वशक्तिमान के दिव्य दर्शन देखता है, वह है तो भूमि पर दंडवत, किंतु उसकी आंखें खुली हैं:

17 I see him and not now I observe him and not near it will march forth a star from Jacob and it will arise a scepter from Israel and it will shatter [the] corners of Moab and it will destroy all [the] descendants of Sheth.

“मैं उन्हें देख अवश्य रहा हूं, किंतु इस समय नहीं; मैं उनकी ओर दृष्टि तो कर रहा हूं, किंतु वह निकट नहीं है. याकोब से एक तारा उदय होगा; इस्राएल से एक राजदंड उभरेगा, जो मोआब के मुंह को कुचल देगा, वह शेत के सभी वंशजों को फाड़ देगा.

18 And it will be Edom a possession and it will be a possession Seir enemies its and Israel [will be] doing strength.

एदोम अधीनता में जा पड़ेगा; सेईर भी, जो इसके शत्रु हैं, अधीन हो जाएंगे.

19 And he will rule from Jacob and he will destroy [the] survivor[s] from a city.

याकोब के घराने में से एक महान अधिकारी हो जाएगा, वही इस नगर के बचे हुए भाग को नाश कर देगा.”

20 And he saw Amalek and he lifted up oracle his and he said [was the] first of [the] nations Amalek and end its [will be] to destruction.

उसने अमालेकियों की ओर दृष्टि की और यह वचन शुरू किया: “अमालेक उन राष्ट्रों में आगे था, किंतु उसका अंत विनाश ही है.”

21 And he saw the Kenite[s] and he lifted up oracle his and he said [is] enduring dwelling your and [is] set in the rock nest your.

इसके बाद बिलआम ने केनियों की ओर अपनी दृष्टि उठाई, तथा अपना वचन इस प्रकार ज़ारी रखा: “तुम्हारा निवास तो अति दृढ़ है, तुम्हारा बसेरा चट्टान की सुरक्षा में बसा है;

22 That except it will become consuming [the] Kenite[s] until when? Asshur will it take captive you.

यह होने पर भी केनी उजड़ हो जाएगा; अश्शूर तुम्हें कब तक बंदी रखेगा?”

23 And he lifted up oracle his and he said woe! who? will he live from when ordains it God.

इसके बाद बिलआम ने अपने वचन में यह कहा: “परमेश्वर द्वारा ठहराए गए के अलावा जीवित कौन रह सकता है?

24 And ships [will be] from [the] hand of Kittim and they will afflict Asshur and they will afflict Eber and also it [will be] to destruction.

किंतु जहाज़ कित्तिम तट से आते रहेंगे; वे अश्शूर को ताड़ना देंगे, एबर को ताड़ना देंगे, इस प्रकार उनका अंत भी नाश ही होगा.”

25 And he arose Balaam and he went and he returned to place his and also Balak he went to way his.

इसके बाद बिलआम अपने नगर को लौट गया तथा बालाक भी अपने स्थान पर लौट गया.
