Numbers 23

1 And he said Balaam to Balak build for me in this [place] seven altars and prepare for me in this [place] seven young bulls and seven rams.

I Balaam powiedział do Balaka: Zbuduj mi tu siedem ołtarzy i przygotuj mi tu siedem cielców i siedem baranów.

2 And he did Balak just as he had spoken Balaam and he offered up Balak and Balaam a young bull and a ram on the altar.

Uczynił więc Balak tak, jak powiedział Balaam; potem Balak i Balaam ofiarowali po [jednym] cielcu i [jednym] baranie na [każdym] ołtarzu.

3 And he said Balaam to Balak take your stand with burnt offering your so let me go perhaps he will meet Yahweh to meet me and [the] word of whatever he will show me and I will tell to you and he went a bare height.

Wtedy Balaam powiedział do Balaka: Pozostań przy swoim całopaleniu, a ja pójdę; może PAN spotka się ze mną, a cokolwiek mi objawi, powiem ci. I poszedł na wzgórze.

4 And he met God Balaam and he said to him [the] seven the altars I have arranged and I have offered up a young bull and a ram on the altar.

I Bóg spotkał się z Balaamem; i [Balaam] powiedział do niego: Postawiłem siedem ołtarzy i ofiarowałem po [jednym] cielcu i [jednym] baranie na [każdym] ołtarzu.

5 And he put Yahweh a word in [the] mouth of Balaam and he said return to Balak and thus you will speak.

Wówczas PAN włożył słowa w usta Balaama i powiedział: Wróć do Balaka i tak [mu] powiedz.

6 And he returned to him and there! [he was] standing with burnt offering his he and all [the] leaders of Moab.

I wrócił do niego, a oto stał przy swoim całopaleniu, on i wszyscy książęta Moabu.

7 And he lifted up oracle his and he said from Aram he led me Balak [the] king of Moab from [the] mountains of [the] east come! curse! for me Jacob and come! denounce! Israel.

I rozpoczął swą przypowieść, mówiąc: Balak, król Moabu, sprowadził mnie z Aramu, z gór wschodnich [tymi słowy]: Przyjdź, przeklnij mi Jakuba, przyjdź, złorzecz Izraelowi.

8 What? will I curse [one whom] not he has cursed him God and what? will I denounce [one whom] not he has denounced Yahweh.

Jakże mam przeklinać tego, kogo Bóg nie przeklął? I jak mam złorzeczyć temu, komu PAN nie złorzeczył?

9 For from [the] top of [the] rocks I see him and from [the] hills I observe him there! a people [which] alone it dwells and among the nations not it reckons itself.

Gdyż widzę go ze szczytu skał, spoglądam na niego z pagórków; oto [ten] lud będzie mieszkać osobno, do innych narodów nie będzie zaliczony.

10 Who? has he counted [the] dust of Jacob and a number [the] fourth part of Israel let it die self my [the] death of upright [people] and let it be end my like his.

Któż policzy proch Jakuba, [któż] policzy [choćby] czwartą część Izraela? Niech umrę śmiercią sprawiedliwych i niech mój koniec będzie taki jak ich.

11 And he said Balak to Balaam what? have you done to me to curse enemies my I took you and here! you have blessed actually.

Wtedy Balak powiedział do Balaama: Cóż mi uczyniłeś? Sprowadziłem cię, abyś przeklął moich wrogów, a oto ty [im] wielce błogosławiłeś.

12 And he answered and he said ¿ not [that] which he will put Yahweh in mouth my it will I take care to speak.

A on odpowiedział: Czy nie mam pilnować tego, by mówić to, co PAN włożył w moje usta?

13 And he said to him Balak (come there! *Q(K)*) please with me to a place another where you will see it from there only outskirt[s] its you will see and all of it not you will see and curse it for me from there.

I Balak powiedział do niego: Chodź, proszę, ze mną na inne miejsce, z którego będziesz mógł ich widzieć; zobaczysz tylko ich skraj, wszystkich nie zobaczysz. Przeklnij mi ich stamtąd.

14 And he took him [the] field of Zophim to [the] top of Pisgah and he built seven altars and he offered up a young bull and a ram on the altar.

I zaprowadził go na pole Sofim, na szczyt góry Pizga; tam zbudował siedem ołtarzy i ofiarował po [jednym] cielcu i [jednym] baranie na [każdym] ołtarzu.

15 And he said to Balak take your stand thus with burnt offering your and I I will meet thus.

I powiedział do Balaka: Pozostań tu przy swoim całopaleniu, a ja pójdę tam na spotkanie [PANA].

16 And he met Yahweh Balaam and he put a word in mouth his and he said return to Balak and thus you will speak.

I PAN wyszedł na spotkanie z Balaamem, włożył słowa w jego usta i powiedział: Wróć do Balaka i tak [mu] powiedz.

17 And he went to him and there he [was] standing with burnt offering his and [the] leaders of Moab [were] with him and he said to him Balak what? has he spoken Yahweh.

Przyszedł więc do niego, a oto on stał przy swoim całopaleniu, a z nim książęta Moabu. I Balak zapytał go: Cóż ci PAN powiedział?

18 And he lifted up oracle his and he said arise O Balak and hear give ear! to me [O] son his Zippor.

I rozpoczął swą przypowieść tymi słowy: Wstań, Balaku, i słuchaj; nakłoń swego ucha, synu Sippora.

19 Not [is] a human God so he may lie and a son of humankind so he may change his mind ¿ he has he said and not will he act? and has he spoken? and not will he fulfill? it.

Bóg nie jest człowiekiem, aby miał kłamać, ani synem człowieczym, żeby miał żałować. Czy on powie [coś], a [tego] nie uczyni? Czy wypowie, a nie spełni?

20 Here! [surely] blessing I have received and he has blessed and not I will turn back it.

Oto otrzymałem [rozkaz], żeby błogosławić; on błogosławił, a [ja] tego nie mogę odwrócić.

21 Not he has looked at disaster in Jacob and not he has seen trouble in Israel Yahweh God his [is] with him and a shout of a king [is] among him.

Nie dostrzegł nieprawości w Jakubie ani nie widział przestępstwa w Izraelu. PAN, jego Bóg, jest z nim, a okrzyk króla – przy nim.

22 God [is] bringing out them from Egypt like [the] horns of a wild ox [belong] to him.

Bóg wyprowadził ich z Egiptu, jego moc jest jak u jednorożca.

23 For not enchantment [is] in Jacob and not divination [is] in Israel about this time it will be said of Jacob and of Israel what! has he done God.

Nie ma bowiem zaklęcia przeciw Jakubowi ani wróżby przeciw Izraelowi. Już od tego czasu będzie się mówić o Jakubie i o Izraelu: Czego dokonał Bóg!

24 There! a people like a lion it rises and like a lion it lifts itself up not it will lie down until it will devour prey and [the] blood of [those] slain it will drink.

Oto lud powstanie jak silny lew, jak młody lew się podnosi; nie położy się, aż pożre zdobycz i wypije krew zabitych.

25 And he said Balak to Balaam neither at all not you will curse it nor at all not you will bless it.

Wtedy Balak powiedział do Balaama: Ani ich nie przeklinaj więcej, ani im też nie błogosław.

26 And he answered Balaam and he said to Balak ¿ not did I speak to you saying all that he will speak Yahweh it I will do.

I Balaam odpowiedział Balakowi: Czy nie powiedziałem ci, że cokolwiek powie PAN, to uczynię?

27 And he said Balak to Balaam come! please let me take you to a place another perhaps it will be pleasing in [the] eyes of God and you will curse it for me from there.

Balak powiedział do Balaama: Chodź, proszę, zaprowadzę cię na inne miejsce, może się spodoba Bogu, żebyś ich stamtąd przeklął.

28 And he took Balak Balaam [the] top of Peor which looks down over [the] face of the desolate place.

Wtedy Balak [wziął] Balaama na szczyt Peor, który wznosi się nad pustynią.

29 And he said Balaam to Balak build for me in this [place] seven altars and prepare for me in this [place] seven young bulls and seven rams.

I Balaam powiedział do Balaka: Zbuduj mi siedem ołtarzy i przygotuj mi tu siedem cielców i siedem baranów.

30 And he did Balak just as he had said Balaam and he offered up a young bull and a ram on the altar.

Balak uczynił więc tak, jak [mu] rozkazał Balaam, i ofiarował po [jednym] cielcu i [jednym] baranie [na każdym] ołtarzu.
