Numbers 16
1 And he took Korah [the] son of Izhar [the] son of Kohath [the] son of Levi and Dathan and Abiram [the] sons of Eliab and On [the] son of Peleth [the] sons of Reuben.
Coré, hijo de Izhar, hijo de Coat, hijo de Levi, trató de asumir el liderazgo, junto con Datán y Abiram, hijos de Eliab, y On, hijo de Pelet, que eran de la tribu de Rubén.
2 And they rose up before Moses and men from [the] people of Israel fifty and two hundred leaders of [the] congregation called of [the] appointed meeting men of name.
Istos se rebelaron contra Moisés, y se les unieron 250 respetados líderes israelitas y miembros de la asamblea.
3 And they assembled on Moses and on Aaron and they said to them enough for you that all the congregation all of them [are] holy and [is] among midst of them Yahweh and why? do you exalt yourselves over [the] assembly of Yahweh.
Se unieron en oposición a Moisés y Aarón, diciéndoles: “¡Ustedes se han adueñado del poder! Cada uno de los israelitas es santo, y el Señor está entre ellos. Entonces, ¿por qué se ponen ustedes por encima de la asamblea del Señor?”
4 And he heard Moses and he fell on face his.
Cuando Moisés oyó lo que decían, cayó al suelo boca abajo.
5 And he spoke to Korah and to all company his saying morning and he will make known Yahweh [the one] who [belongs] to him and the holy [person] and he will bring [him] near to himself and [the one] whom he will choose him he will bring near to himself.
Entonces le dijo a Coré y a todos los que estaban con él: “Por la mañana el Señor va a demostrar quién es suyo y quién es santo, y permitirá que esa persona se acerque a él. Sólo permitirá que se acerque a él quien él elija.
6 This do take for yourselves censers O Korah and all company his.
Esto es lo que tú, Coré, y todos los que están contigo van a hacer. Toma unos quemadores de incienso,
7 And put in them - fire and set on them incense before Yahweh tomorrow and it will be the man whom he will choose Yahweh he [will be] the holy [person] enough for you O descendants of Levi.
y mañana pon incienso en ellos y enciéndelo en la presencia del Señor. Entonces el hombre que el Señor elija es el que es santo. ¡Son ustedes, los levitas, los que están tomando demasiado poder para ustedes mismos!”
8 And he said Moses to Korah listen please O descendants of Levi.
Moisés también le dijo a Coré: “¡Escuchen, levitas!
9 ¿ [is it too] small For you that he has set apart [the] God of Israel you from [the] congregation of Israel to bring near you to himself to serve [the] service of [the] tabernacle of Yahweh and to stand before the congregation to serve them.
¿Les parece poco que el Dios de Israel los haya elegido entre todos los demás israelitas y les haya permitido acercarse a él y realizar la obra en el Tabernáculo del Señor, estar ante los israelitas y servirles?
10 And he has brought near you and all brothers your [the] descendants of Levi with you but you seek also priesthood.
estedado el privilegio de acercarte a él, a ti, Coré, a y a todos los demás levitas, ¡pero ahora también quieren tener el sacerdocio!
11 Therefore you and all company your [are] the [ones who] have gathered on Yahweh and Aaron what? [is] he that (you will cause to grumble *Q(K)*) on him.
Así que en realidad tú y los que se han unido a ti están luchando contra el Señor, porque ¿quién es Aarón para que murmurencontra él?”
12 And he sent Moses to summon Dathan and Abiram [the] sons of Eliab and they said not we will come up.
Entonces Moisés convocó a Datán y a Abiram, los hijos de Eliab, pero ellos respondieron: “No vamos a comparecer ante ustedes!
13 ¿ [is it] small That you have brought up us from a land flowing of milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness that you will make yourself ruler over us also really.
¿No has hecho suficiente alejándonos de una tierra que fluye leche y miel para matarnos aquí en el desierto? ¿También tienes que hacerte un dictador y gobernante?
14 Also not into a land flowing of milk and honey you have brought us and you have given to us an inheritance of field and vineyard ¿ [the] eyes of the men those will you put out not we will come up.
Además, no nos has llevado a una tierra que fluye leche y miel ni nos has dado campos y viñedos para que los poseamos. ¿De verdad crees que puedes engañar a todo el mundo? ¡No, no asistiremos!”
15 And it burned to Moses exceedingly and he said to Yahweh may not you turn to offering their not a donkey one from them I have taken and not I have done harm to one of them.
Moisés se enfadó mucho y le dijo al Señor: “No aceptes sus ofrendas. Nunca les he quitado ni un asno ni he tratado mal a ninguno de ellos”.
16 And he said Moses to Korah you and all company your be before Yahweh you and they and Aaron tomorrow.
Moisés le dijo a Coré: “Tú y todos los que se han unido a ti deben presentarse ante el Señor mañana, todos ustedes y Aarón también.
17 And take - each one censer his and you will put on them incense and you will bring near before Yahweh each one censer his fifty and two hundred censers and you and Aaron each one censer his.
Cada uno tomará su quemador de incienso, lo pondrá en él y lo ofrecerá ante el Señor. Los 250 usarán sus quemadores de incienso y Aarón también”.
18 And they took each one censer his and they put on them fire and they set on them incense and they stood [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting and Moses and Aaron.
Entonces cada uno tomó su incensario, puso incienso en él, lo encendió, y se paró junto con Moisés y Aarón a la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión.
19 And he called together on them Korah all the congregation to [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting and it appeared [the] glory of Yahweh to all the congregation.
Cuando Coré reunió a todo su grupo rebelde a la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión, la gloria del Señor apareció ante toda la congregación.
20 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses and to Aaron saying.
El Señor dijo a Moisés y Aarón,
21 Separate yourselves from among the congregation this so I may consume them like a moment.
“Apártense de estos israelitas y los destruiré enseguida”.
22 And they fell on faces their and they said O God [the] God of the spirits of all flesh ¿ a man one will he sin and towards all the congregation will you be angry?
Pero Moisés y Aarón cayeron al suelo boca abajo y dijeron: “Dios – Diosde todo lo que vive – si es un solo hombre el que peca, ¿tienes que enfadarte con todos?”
23 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
Entonces el Señor le dijo a Moisés:
24 Speak to the congregation saying take yourselves up from round about [the] dwelling place of Korah Dathan and Abiram.
“Dile al pueblo que se aleje de las casas de Coré, Datán y Abiram”.
25 And he arose Moses and he went to Dathan and Abiram and they went after him [the] elders of Israel.
Entonces Moisés se acercó a Dathan y Abiram, y los ancianos israelitas de Israel le siguieron.
26 And he spoke to the congregation saying turn away please from at [the] tents of the men wicked these and may not you touch all that [belongs] to them lest you should be swept away with all sins their.
Ordenó al pueblo: “Apártense de las tiendas de estos malvados y no toquen nada que les pertenezca, de lo contrario serán destruidos junto con ellos en todos sus pecados”.
27 And they took themselves up from at [the] dwelling place of Korah Dathan and Abiram from all around and Dathan and Abiram they came out standing [the] entrance of tents their and wives their and sons their and little one[s] their.
El pueblo se alejó de las casas de Coré, Datán y Abiram. Dathan y Abiram salieron y se pararon en las entradas de sus tiendas junto con sus esposas, hijos y pequeños.
28 And he said Moses by this you will know! that Yahweh he has sent me to do all the works these for not from own heart my.
Moisés dijo: “Así es como sabrán que el Señor me envió para llevar a cabo todo lo que he hecho, porque no fue nada que surgiera de mi pernsamiento.
29 If like [the] death of every human they will die! these [men] and [the] visitation of every human it will be visited on them not Yahweh he has sent me.
Si estos hombres mueren de muerte natural, experimentando el destino de cada ser humano, entonces el Señor no me envió.
30 And if a creation he will create Yahweh and it will open the ground mouth its and it will swallow them and all that [belongs] to them and they will go down alive Sheol towards and you will know that they have spurned the men these Yahweh. (Sheol h7585)
Pero si el Señor hace algo totalmente diferente, y la tierra se abre y se los traga junto con todo lo que les pertenece para que bajen vivos al Seol, entonces sabrán que estos hombres han actuado con desprecio ante Señor”. (Sheol h7585)
31 And it was when finished he to speak all the words these and it was split open the ground which [was] under them.
Tan pronto como Moisés terminó de decir todo esto, la tierra debajo de los rebeldes se abrió,
32 And it opened the earth mouth its and it swallowed them and households their and every person who [belonged] to Korah and all the property.
y la tierra se los tragó así como a sus hogares, y a todos los que estaban allí con Coré y todo lo que les pertenecía.
33 And they went down they and all that [belonged] to them alive Sheol towards and it covered over them the earth and they perished from among the assembly. (Sheol h7585)
Bajaron vivos al Seol con todo lo que tenían. La tierra se cerró sobre ellos, y ya no estaban. (Sheol h7585)
34 And all Israel which [was] around them they fled to voice their for they said lest it should swallow us the earth.
Cuando oyeron sus gritos, todos los israelitas cercanos salieron corriendo, gritando: “¡Cuidado! La tierra podría tragarnos a nosotros también”.
35 And fire it came forth from with Yahweh and it consumed the fifty and two hundred man [who] were bringing near the incense.
Entonces fuego salió del Señor y quemó a los 250 hombres que ofrecían incienso.
36 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
Entonces el Señor dijo a Moisés,
37 Speak to Eleazar [the] son of Aaron the priest so may he take up the censers from between the burning and the fire scatter beyond for they are holy.
“Dile a Eleazar, hijo del sacerdote Aarón, que recoja los incensarios sagrados de entre los que se han quemado, y que esparza las brasas usadas para el incienso bien lejos del campamento.
38 [the] censers of The sinners these by lives their and people will make them beaten out of thin plates overlay for the altar for they brought near them before Yahweh and they became holy and they may become a sign for [the] people of Israel.
Haz que los incensarios de los que pecaron a costa de su propia vida sean martillados en láminas de metal como cobertura para el altar, porque fueron ofrecidos ante el Señor, y así se han hecho santos. Serán un recordatorio para los israelitas de lo que pasó”.
39 And he took Eleazar the priest [the] censers of bronze which they had brought near the [ones who] were burned and people beat out them overlay for the altar.
Así que el sacerdote Eleazar recogió los incensarios de bronce que usaban los quemados y los hizo martillar como cubierta para el altar,
40 A reminder to [the] people of Israel so that that not he may draw near a man strange who not [is] one of [the] offspring of Aaron he to make smoke incense before Yahweh and not he will be like Korah and like company his just as he had spoken Yahweh by [the] hand of Moses to him.
siguiendo las instrucciones que le dio el Señor a través de Moisés. Esto era para recordar a los israelitas que nadie que no sea descendiente de Aarón debe venir a ofrecer incienso ante el Señor, de lo contrario podrían terminar como Coré y los que están con él.
41 And they grumbled all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel from [the] next day on Moses and on Aaron saying you you have killed [the] people of Yahweh.
Al día siguiente todos los israelitas se quejaron a Moisés y Aarón, diciendo: “¡Han matado al pueblo del Señor!”
42 And it was when assembled the congregation on Moses and on Aaron and they turned to [the] tent of meeting and there! it covered it the cloud and it appeared [the] glory of Yahweh.
Pero cuando el pueblo se reunió para enfrentarse a ellos, Moisés y Aarón se acercaron al Tabernáculo de Reunión, y de repente la nube lo cubrió y apareció la gloria del Señor.
43 And he came Moses and Aaron to [the] face of [the] tent of meeting.
Moisés y Aarón fueron y se pararon al frente del Tabernáculo de Reunión,
44 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
y el Señor le dijo a Moisés:
45 Get away from among the congregation this so I may make an end of them like a moment and they fell on faces their.
“Aléjate de este pueblo, pues acabaré con ellos inmediatamente”. Moisés y Aarón cayeron al suelo boca abajo.
46 And he said Moses to Aaron take the censer and put on it fire from on the altar and set incense and take [it] quickly to the congregation and make atonement on them for it has gone forth wrath from to before Yahweh it has begun the plague.
Moisés le dijo a Aarón: “Pon algunas brasas del altar y algo de incienso en tu incensario. Luego corre donde está el pueblo y ponlos delante del Señor, porque el Señor está enojado con ellos y una plaga ha comenzado”.
47 And he took [it] Aaron just as - he had said Moses and he ran into [the] middle of the assembly and there! it had begun the plague among the people and he put the incense and he made atonement on the people.
Aarón tomó el incensario tal como le había dicho Moisés y corrió al centro de la asamblea. Vio que la peste había empezado a afectar al pueblo, así que ofreció el incienso e hizo que el pueblo se pusiera en pie ante el Señor.
48 And he stood between the dead and between the living and it was restrained the plague.
Se interpuso entre los muertos y los vivos, y la peste se detuvo.
49 And they were those [who] died by the plague four-teen thousand and seven hundred besides the [ones who] died on [the] matter of Korah.
Sin embargo, 14.700 personas murieron por la plaga además de los que murieron por culpa de Coré.
50 And he returned Aaron to Moses to [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting and the plague it had been restrained.
Entonces Aarón regresó a Moisés a la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión porque la plaga había sido detenida.
