Numbers 13
1 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
Og Herren talede til Mose og sagde:
2 Send for yourself men so they may spy out [the] land of Canaan which I [am] about to give to [the] people of Israel a man one a man one for [the] tribe of ancestors his you will send every [one] a leader among them.
Send Mænd for dig, at de bespejde det Land Kanaan, hvilket jeg giver Israels Børn; I skulle sende een Mand for hver sin Fædrene-Stamme, enhver iblandt dem skal være en Fyrste.
3 And he sent them Moses from [the] wilderness of Paran on [the] mouth of Yahweh all of them [were] men [who were] [the] heads of [the] people of Israel they.
Saa sendte Mose dem fra Parans Ørk, efter Herrens Mund, Mænd, der alle vare Øverster for Israels Børn.
4 And these [are] names their for [the] tribe of Reuben Shammua [the] son of Zaccur.
Og disse ere deres Navne: For Rubens Stamme Sammua, Sakkurs Søn;
5 For [the] tribe of Simeon Shaphat [the] son of Hori.
for Simeons Stamme Safat, Hori Søn;
6 For [the] tribe of Judah Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh.
for Judas Stamme Kaleb, Jefunne Søn;
7 For [the] tribe of Issachar Igal [the] son of Joseph.
for Isaskars Stamme Jigeal, Josefs Søn;
8 For [the] tribe of Ephraim Hoshea [the] son of Nun.
for Efraims Stamme Hosea, Nuns Søn;
9 For [the] tribe of Benjamin Palti [the] son of Raphu.
for Benjamins Stamme Palti, Rafu Søn;
10 For [the] tribe of Zebulun Gaddiel [the] son of Sodi.
for Sebulons Stamme Gaddiel, Sodi Søn;
11 For [the] tribe of Joseph for [the] tribe of Manasseh Gaddi [the] son of Susi.
for Josefs Stamme, for Manasse Stamme Gaddi, Sussi Søn;
12 For [the] tribe of Dan Ammiel [the] son of Gemalli.
for Dans Stamme Ammiel, Gemalli Søn;
13 For [the] tribe of Asher Sethur [the] son of Michael.
for Asers Stamme Sethur, Mikaels Søn;
14 For [the] tribe of Naphtali Nahbi [the] son of Vopshi.

15 For [the] tribe of Gad Geuel [the] son of Maki.
for Gads Stamme Geuel, Maki Søn.
16 These [are] [the] names of the men whom he sent Moses to spy out the land and he called Moses Hoshea [the] son of Nun Joshua.
Disse ere Navnene paa de Mænd, som Mose sendte til at bespejde Landet; men Mose kaldte Hosea, Nuns Søn, Josva.
17 And he sent them Moses to spy out [the] land of Canaan and he said to them go up this in the Negev and you will go up the hill country.
Og Mose sendte dem til at bespejde Kanaans Land og sagde til dem: Drager herfra op i Sydlandet, og I skulle gaa op paa Bjergene.
18 And you will see the land what? [is] it and the people which dwells on it ¿ strong [is] it ¿ feeble ¿ few [is] it or? many.
Og I skulle bese Landet, hvordan det er, og det Folk, som bor derudi, om det er stærkt eller svagt, om det er lidet eller talrigt,
19 And what? [is] the land which it [is] dwelling in it ¿ good [is] it or? bad and what? [are] the cities which it [is] dwelling in them ¿ in camps or? in fortresses.
og hvad det er for et Land, som det bor udi, om det er godt eller slet, og hvad det er for Stæder, som det bor udi, om det bor i Lejre eller i Befæstninger,
20 And what? [is] the land ¿ fat [is] it or? lean ¿ [is] there in it wood or? not and you will show yourselves strong and you will take some of [the] fruit of the land and the days [were the] days of [the] first-fruits of grapes.
og hvad det er for et Land, om det er fedt eller magert; om der er Træer i det eller ej, og I skulle være frimodige og tage af Landets Frugt; men det var paa den Tid, da de første Vindruer bleve modne.
21 And they went up and they spied out the land from [the] wilderness of Zin to Rehob Lebo Hamath.
Og de gik op og bespejdede Landet, fra Zins Ørk indtil Rehob, til henimod Hamatli.
22 And they went up in the Negev and he came to Hebron and [were] there Ahiman Sheshai and Talmai those born of Anak and Hebron seven years it was built before Zoan Egypt.
Derefter gik de op i Sydlandet og kom til Hebron, og der var Ahiman, Sesai og Talmai, Anaks Børn; men Hebron var bygget syv Aar førend Zoan i Ægypten.
23 And they came to [the] wadi of Eshcol and they cut down from there a branch and a cluster of grapes one and they carried it on the pole two and some of the pomegranates and some of the figs.
Og de kom indtil Eskols Bæk og afskare der en Vinkvist og en Vindrueklasse, og to bare den paa en Stang, og de toge af Granatæblerne og af Figenerne.
24 the Place that someone called [the] wadi of Eshcol on [the] causes of the cluster which they cut down from there [the] people of Israel.
Dette Sted kaldte man Eskols Bæk for den Klases Skyld, som Israels Børn afskare der.
25 And they returned from spying out the land from [the] end of forty day[s].
Og de vendte tilbage fra at bespejde Landet, der fyrretyve Dage vare til Ende.
26 And they went and they came to Moses and to Aaron and to all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel to [the] wilderness of Paran Kadesh towards and they brought back them word and all the congregation and they showed them [the] fruit of the land.
Og de gik og kom til Mose og til Aron og til al Israels Børns Menighed, til Parans Ørk til Kades; og de bragte dem og al Menigheden Svar igen, og de lode dem se Landets Frugt.
27 And they recounted to him and they said we went into the land which you sent us and also [is] flowing of milk and honey it and this [is] fruit its.
Og de fortalte ham og sagde: Vi kom til Landet, som du sendte os til, og det flyder endog med Mælk og Honning, og denne er Frugten derfra.
28 Nevertheless for [is] strong the people which dwells in the land and the cities [are] fortified large very and also those born of Anak we saw there.
Men dog, det er et stærkt Folk, som bor i Landet, og Stæderne ere faste og saare store, vi have ogsaa set Anaks Børn der.
29 Amalek [is] dwelling in [the] land of the Negev and the Hittite[s] and the Jebusite[s] and the Amorite[s] [is] dwelling in the hill country and the Canaanite[s] [is] dwelling at the sea and on [the] side of the Jordan.
Amalek bor sydligt i Landet, og Hethiten og Jebusiten og Amoriten bor paa Bjerget, og Kananiten bor ved Havet og ved Jordanens Bred.
30 And he silenced Caleb the people to Moses and he said certainly we will go up and we will take possession of it for certainly we will prevail to it.
Men Kaleb beroligede Folket overfor Mose og sagde: Lader os dog gaa op og indtage det til Ejendom; thi vi kunne lettelig bemægtige os det.
31 And the men who they had gone up with him they said not we are able to go up against the people for [is] strong it more than us.
Men de Mænd, som vare dragne op med ham, sagde: Vi formaa ikke at drage op mod det Folk; thi det er stærkere end vi.
32 And they brought out bad report of the land which they had spied out it to [the] people of Israel saying the land which we passed in it to spy out it [is] a land [which] devours inhabitants its it and all the people which we saw in [the] midst of it [were] men of stature.
Og de bragte ondt Rygte om Landet, hvilket de havde bespejdet, ud til Israels Børn og sagde: Det Land, som vi gik igennem at bespejde det, det er et Land, som fortærer sine Indbyggere, og alt det Folk, som vi saa deri, er høje Folk.
33 And there we saw the Nephilim [the] descendants of Anak [were] from the Nephilim and we were in own eyes our like grasshoppers and thus we were in view their.
Og vi saa der Kæmperne, Anaks Børn, en Kæmpeslægt; og vi vare for vore Øjne som Græshopper, og vi vare ligesaa for deres Øjne.
