Nehemiah 9

1 And on day twenty and four of the month this they gathered [the] people of Israel with fasting and in sackcloth and earth [was] on them.

۱ و در روز بیست و چهارم این ماه، بنی‌اسرائیل روزه‌دار و پلاس دربر و خاک برسر جمع شدند.

2 And they separated themselves [the] offspring of Israel from all sons of foreignness and they stood and they confessed on sins their and [the] iniquities of ancestors their.

۲ و ذریت اسرائیل خویشتن رااز جمیع غربا جدا نموده، ایستادند و به گناهان خود و تقصیرهای پدران خویش اعتراف کردند.

3 And they stood at place their and they read aloud in [the] scroll of [the] law of Yahweh God their [the] fourth of the day and a fourth [they were] confessing and [they were] bowing down to Yahweh God their.

۳ و در جای خود ایستاده، یک ربع روز کتاب تورات یهوه خدای خود را خواندند و ربع دیگراعتراف نموده، یهوه خدای خود را عبادت نمودند.

4 And he stood on [the] platform of the Levites Jeshua and Bani Kadmiel Shebaniah Bunni Sherebiah Bani Kenani and they cried out with a voice great to Yahweh God their.

۴ و یشوع و بانی و قدمیئیل و شبنیا و بنی و شربیا و بانی و کنانی بر زینه لاویان ایستادند و به آواز بلند، نزد یهوه خدای خویش استغاثه نمودند.

5 And they said the Levites Jeshua and Kadmiel Bani Hashabneiah Sherebiah Hodiah Shebaniah Pethahiah arise bless Yahweh God your from antiquity until perpetuity and may people bless [the] name of glory your and [may it] be exalted above all blessing and praise.

۵ آنگاه لاویان، یعنی یشوع و قدمیئیل وبانی و حشبنیا و شربیا و هودیا و شبنیا و فتحیاگفتند: «برخیزید و یهوه خدای خود را از ازل تا به ابد متبارک بخوانید. و اسم جلیل تو که از تمام برکات و تسبیحات اعلی تر است متبارک باد.

6 You he [are] Yahweh to alone you (you *Q(K)*) you made the heavens [the] heavens of the heavens and all host their the earth and all that [is] on it the seas and all that [is] in them and you [are] preserving alive all of them and [the] host of the heavens to you [are] bowing down.

۶ توبه تنهایی یهوه هستی. تو فلک و فلک الافلاک وتمامی جنود آنها را و زمین را و هر‌چه بر آن است و دریاها را و هر‌چه در آنها است، ساخته‌ای و توهمه اینها را حیات می‌بخشی و جنود آسمان تورا سجده می‌کنند.

7 You he [are] Yahweh God who you chose Abram and you brought out him from Ur of [the] Chaldeans and you made name his Abraham.

۷ تو‌ای یهوه آن خدا هستی که ابرام را برگزیدی و او را از اور کلدانیان بیرون آوردی واسم او را به ابراهیم تبدیل نمودی.

8 And you found heart his faithful before you and you made with him the covenant to give [the] land of the Canaanite[s] the Hittite[s] the Amorite[s] and the Perizzite[s] and the Jebusite[s] and the Girgashite[s] to give to offspring his and you fulfilled words your for [are] righteous you.

۸ ودل او را به حضور خود امین یافته، با وی عهدبستی که زمین کنعانیان و حتیان و اموریان وفرزیان و یبوسیان و جرجاشیان را به او ارزانی داشته، به ذریت او بدهی و وعده خود را وفا نمودی، زیرا که عادل هستی.

9 And you saw [the] affliction of ancestors our in Egypt and outcry their you heard at [the] sea of reed[s].

۹ و مصیبت پدران ما را در مصر دیدی و فریاد ایشان را نزد بحر قلزم شنیدی.

10 And you gave signs and wonders on Pharaoh and on all servants his and on all [the] people of land his for you knew that they had acted presumptuously on them and you made for yourself a name as the day this.

۱۰ و آیات و معجزات بر فرعون و جمیع بندگانش و تمامی قوم زمینش ظاهر ساختی، چونکه می‌دانستی که بر ایشان ستم می‌نمودندپس به جهت خود اسمی پیدا کردی، چنانکه امروز شده است.

11 And the sea you split open before them and they passed in [the] middle of the sea on the dry ground and pursuers their you threw in [the] depths like a stone in waters mighty.

۱۱ و دریا را به حضور ایشان منشق ساختی تا از میان دریا به خشکی عبورنمودند و تعاقب کنندگان ایشان را به عمقهای دریا مثل سنگ در آب عمیق انداختی.

12 And in a pillar of cloud you led them by day and in a pillar of fire night to light up for them the way which they walked in it.

۱۲ وایشان را در روز، به ستون ابر و در شب، به ستون آتش رهبری نمودی تا راه را که در آن باید رفت، برای ایشان روشن سازی.

13 And on [the] mountain of Sinai you came down and you spoke with them from heaven and you gave to them judgments upright and laws of faithfulness statutes and commandments good.

۱۳ و بر کوه سینا نازل شده، با ایشان از آسمان تکلم نموده و احکام راست و شرایع حق و اوامر و فرایض نیکو را به ایشان دادی.

14 And [the] sabbath of holiness your you made known to them and commandments and statutes and [the] law you commanded to them by [the] hand of Moses servant your.

۱۴ و سبت مقدس خود را به ایشان شناسانیدی و اوامر و فرایض و شرایع به واسطه بنده خویش موسی به ایشان امر فرمودی.

15 And bread from heaven you gave to them for hunger their and water from a rock you brought forth for them for thirst their and you said to them to go to take possession of the land which you had lifted hand your to give to them.

۱۵ و نان از آسمان برای گرسنگی ایشان دادی و آب ازصخره برای تشنگی ایشان جاری ساختی و به ایشان وعده دادی که به زمینی که دست خود رابرافراشتی که آن را به ایشان بدهی داخل شده، آن را به تصرف آورند.

16 And they and ancestors our they acted presumptuously and they stiffened neck their and not they listened to commandments your.

۱۶ «لیکن ایشان و پدران ما متکبرانه رفتارنموده، گردن خویش را سخت ساختند و اوامر تورا اطاعت ننمودند.

17 And they refused to listen and not they remembered wonders your which you had done with them and they stiffened neck their and they appointed a leader to return to servitude their in rebellion their and you [are] a God forgiveness gracious and compassionate long of anger and great (of covenant loyalty *Q(K)*) and not you abandoned them.

۱۷ و از شنیدن ابا نمودند واعمال عجیبه‌ای را که در میان ایشان نمودی بیادنیاوردند، بلکه گردن خویش را سخت ساختند و فتنه انگیخته، سرداری تعیین نمودند تا (به زمین )بندگی خود مراجعت کنند. اما تو خدای غفار وکریم و رحیم و دیرغضب و کثیراحسان بوده، ایشان را ترک نکردی.

18 Even for they had made for themselves a calf of molten metal and they had said this [is] god your who he brought up you from Egypt and they had done blasphemies great.

۱۸ بلکه چون گوساله ریخته شده‌ای برای خود ساختند و گفتند: (ای اسرائیل )! این خدای تو است که تو را از مصربیرون آورد. و اهانت عظیمی نمودند.

19 And you in compassion your great not you abandoned them in the wilderness [the] pillar of cloud not it departed from over them in daytime their to lead them in the way and [the] pillar of fire at night to light up for them and the way which they walked in it.

۱۹ آنگاه تونیز برحسب رحمت عظیم خود، ایشان را دربیابان ترک ننمودی، و ستون ابر در روز که ایشان را در راه رهبری می‌نمود از ایشان دور نشد و نه ستون آتش در شب که راه را که در آن باید بروندبرای ایشان روشن می‌ساخت.

20 And spirit your good you gave to instruct them and manna your not you withheld from mouth their and water you gave to them for thirst their.

۲۰ و روح نیکوی خود را به جهت تعلیم ایشان دادی و من خویش را از دهان ایشان باز نداشتی و آب برای تشنگی ایشان، به ایشان عطا فرمودی.

21 And forty year[s] you sustained them in the wilderness not they were lacking clothes their not they wore out and feet their not they became swollen.

۲۱ و ایشان را دربیابان چهل سال پرورش دادی که به هیچ‌چیزمحتاج نشدند. لباس ایشان مندرس نگردید وپایهای ایشان ورم نکرد.

22 And you gave to them kingdoms and peoples and you apportioned them to a corner and they took possession of [the] land of Sihon and [the] land of [the] king of Heshbon and [the] land of Og [the] king of Bashan.

۲۲ و ممالک و قومها به ایشان ارزانی داشته، آنها را تا حدود تقسیم نمودی و زمین سیحون و زمین پادشاه حشبون وزمین عوج پادشاه باشان را به تصرف آوردند.

23 And children their you increased like [the] stars of the heavens and you brought them into the land which you had said to ancestors their to go to take possession of.

۲۳ وپسران ایشان را مثل ستارگان آسمان افزوده، ایشان را به زمینی که به پدران ایشان وعده داده بودی که داخل شده، آن را به تصرف آورند، درآوردی.

24 And they went the children and they took possession of the land and you subdued before them [the] inhabitants of the land the Canaanites and you gave them in hand their and kings their and [the] peoples of the land to do with them according to will their.

۲۴ «پس، پسران ایشان داخل شده، زمین را به تصرف آوردند و کنعانیان را که سکنه زمین بودند، به حضور ایشان مغلوب ساختی و آنها را با پادشاهان آنها و قومهای زمین، به‌دست ایشان تسلیم نمودی، تا موافق اراده خود با آنها رفتارنمایند.

25 And they captured cities fortified and ground fertile and they took possession of houses full every good thing wells dug out vineyards and olive trees and tree[s] of food to abundance and they ate and they were satisfied and they grew fat and they luxuriated in goodness your great.

۲۵ پس شهرهای حصاردار و زمینهای برومند گرفتند و خانه های پر از نفایس وچشمه های کنده شده و تاکستانها و باغات زیتون و درختان میوه دار بیشمار به تصرف آوردند وخورده و سیر شده و فربه گشته، از نعمتهای عظیم تو متلذذ گردیدند.

26 And they were disobedient and they rebelled against you and they threw law your behind back their and prophets your they killed who they had warned them to bring back them to you and they did blasphemies great.

۲۶ و بر تو فتنه انگیخته و تمردنموده، شریعت تو را پشت سر خود انداختند وانبیای تو را که برای ایشان شهادت می‌آوردند تابسوی تو بازگشت نمایند، کشتند و اهانت عظیمی به عمل آوردند.

27 And you gave them in [the] hand of opponents their and they caused distress to them and in [the] time of distress their they cried out to you and you from heaven you heard and according to compassion your great you gave to them deliverers and they delivered them from [the] hand of opponents their.

۲۷ آنگاه تو ایشان را به‌دست دشمنانشان تسلیم نمودی تا ایشان را به تنگ آورند و در حین تنگی خویش، نزد تواستغاثه نمودند و ایشان را از آسمان اجابت نمودی و برحسب رحمتهای عظیم خود، نجات دهندگان به ایشان دادی که ایشان را ازدست دشمنانشان رهانیدند.

28 And just as was rest to them they returned to do evil before you and you abandoned them in [the] hand of enemies their and they ruled over them and they returned and they cried out to you and you from heaven you heard and you rescued them according to compassion your many times.

۲۸ «اما چون استراحت یافتند، بار دیگر به حضور تو شرارت ورزیدند و ایشان را به‌دست دشمنانشان واگذاشتی که بر ایشان تسلط نمودند. و چون باز نزد تو استغاثه نمودند، ایشان را ازآسمان اجابت نمودی و برحسب رحمتهای عظیمت، بارهای بسیار ایشان را رهایی دادی.

29 And you warned them to bring back them to law your and they they acted presumptuously and not they listened to commandments your and in judgments your they sinned in them which he will do anyone and he will live by them and they gave a shoulder stubborn and neck their they stiffened and not they listened.

۲۹ و برای ایشان شهادت فرستادی تا ایشان را به شریعت خود برگردانی، اما ایشان متکبرانه رفتارنموده، اوامر تو را اطاعت نکردند و به احکام توکه هر‌که آنها را بجا آورد از آنها زنده میماند، خطاورزیدند و دوشهای خود را معاند و گردنهای خویش را سخت نموده، اطاعت نکردند.

30 And you prolonged towards them years many and you warned them by spirit your by [the] hand of prophets your and not they gave ear and you gave them in [the] hand of [the] peoples of the lands.

۳۰ «معهذا سالهای بسیار با ایشان مدارانمودی و به روح خویش به واسطه انبیای خودبرای ایشان شهادت فرستادی، اما گوش نگرفتند. لهذا ایشان را به‌دست قوم های کشورهاتسلیم نمودی.

31 And in compassion your great not you made them complete destruction and not you abandoned them for [are] a God gracious and compassionate you.

۳۱ اما برحسب رحمتهای عظیمت، ایشان را بالکل فانی نساختی و ترک ننمودی، زیراخدای کریم و رحیم هستی.

32 And therefore O God our God great mighty and awesome [the] keeper of the covenant and covenant loyalty may not it be small before you all the hardship which it has come upon us to kings our to leaders our and to priests our and to prophets our and to ancestors our and to all people your since [the] days of [the] kings of Assyria until the day this.

۳۲ و الان‌ای خدای ما، ای خدای عظیم و جبار و مهیب که عهد ورحمت را نگاه می‌داری، زنهار تمامی این مصیبتی که بر ما و بر پادشاهان و سروران و کاهنان و انبیا و پدران ما و بر تمامی قوم تو از ایام پادشاهان اشور تا امروز مستولی شده است، درنظر تو قلیل ننماید.

33 And you [are] righteous on every [thing which] has come on us for faithfulness you have acted and we we have acted wickedly.

۳۳ و تو در تمامی این چیزهایی که بر ما وارد شده است عادل هستی، زیرا که تو به راستی عمل نموده‌ای، اما ما شرارت ورزیده‌ایم.

34 And kings our leaders our priests our and ancestors our not they did law your and not they paid attention to commandments your and to testimonies your which you admonished them.

۳۴ و پادشاهان و سروران و کاهنان وپدران ما به شریعت تو عمل ننمودند و به اوامر وشهادات تو که به ایشان امر فرمودی، گوش ندادند.

35 And they in own kingdom their and in goodness your great which you had given to them and in [the] land broad and fertile which you had set before them not they served you and not they turned back from deeds their evil.

۳۵ و در مملکت خودشان و در احسان عظیمی که به ایشان نمودی و در زمین وسیع وبرومند که پیش روی ایشان نهادی تو را عبادت ننمودند و از اعمال شنیع خویش بازگشت نکردند.

36 Here! we this day [are] slaves and the land which you gave to ancestors our to eat fruit its and good thing[s] its here! we [are] slaves on it.

۳۶ «اینک ما امروز غلامان هستیم و در زمینی که به پدران ما دادی تا میوه و نفایس آن رابخوریم، اینک در آن غلامان هستیم.

37 And produce its [is] increasing for the kings whom you have appointed over us in sins our and over bodies our [they are] ruling and over cattle our according to will their and [are] in distress great we.

۳۷ و آن، محصول فراوان خود را برای پادشاهانی که به‌سبب گناهان ما، بر ما مسلط ساخته‌ای می‌آورد و ایشان بر جسدهای ما و چهارپایان ما برحسب اراده خود حکمرانی می‌کنند و ما در شدت تنگی گرفتار هستیم.

38 And in all this we [are] making a trustworthy arrangement and writing and [are] on the sealed [document] leaders our Levites our priests our.

۳۸ و به‌سبب همه این امور، ما عهدمحکم بسته، آن را نوشتیم و سروران و لاویان وکاهنان ما آن را مهر کردند.»
