< Matthew 27 >

1 As morning then having arrived counsel took all the chief priests and the elders of the people against Jesus so that they might put to death him,
Amasala gishandabhe akhafikha, khabhagosi wonti bha makuhani na bhazee bha bhantu bhakhaliye injama juu ya Yesu wapate hubude.
2 And having bound Him they led away [Him] and delivered (Him to Pontius *K*) Pilate the governor.
Bhakhapinya, bhakhanongozya, bhafishia hwa liwali u Pilato.
3 Then having seen Judas the [one who] (betraying *NK(o)*) Him that He was condemned, having regretted [it] (he turned *N(k)O*) the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and (to the *k*) elders
Nantele u Yuda, yahali msaliti, akhalolile aje u Yesu tayari alomgwile, akhazungumie wawezya ivipande selasini ivi hela, hwabhagosi wa makuhani na bhazee,
4 saying; I sinned having betrayed blood (innocent. *NK(O)*) Then they said; What [is that] to us? You yourself will see.
na akhayanga, “Imbombile imbibhi ya huisaliti idada yisanga ilimbibhi.” Lakini bhakhamonzya, “lihutuhusu lyenu ate? Genyaye ego wewe.”
5 And having cast down the pieces of silver (into the temple *N(k)O*) he withdrew, and having gone away hanged himself.
Nantele wavitanga pasi vila ivipande vinhela hwishibhanza, na ahasogola na huiyoje mwene.
6 And the chief priests having taken the pieces of silver said; Not it is lawful to put them into the treasury since [the] price of blood it is.
Ugosi wa makuhani ahavyenga vila ivipande vi hela na ahayanga, “Sagashiza kuibheshe ihela ine mhazina, kwa sababu yi danda.”
7 Counsel then having taken they bought with them the field of the potter for a burial place for the strangers.
Bhakhayangana peka ihela itumishe akalile ugonda gwa whumbile azyeshele abhajenu.
8 Therefore was called the field that Field of Blood until this day.
Kwa sababu eyo ugunda ugwa likwiziwa “Guda gwi danda” hadi ilelo eshe.
9 Then was fulfilled that having been spoken through Jeremiah the prophet saying; And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of the [One] priced, whom they set a price on by [the] sons of Israel,
Nantele ela inongwa yikhayangwile na abhatumii u Yeremia liahatimila, aje, “Bhakhejile ivipande selasini ivi hela, ibeyi yihapangwilwe na bhantu bha Israeli hwa ajili yakwe,
10 and they gave them for the field of the potter, as directed me [the] Lord
bhakhatumie ugonda gwa muwhumbaji nazi u Bwana shakhelezezye.”
11 And Jesus (stood *N(k)O*) before the governor; and questioned Him the governor saying; You yourself are the King of the Jews? And Jesus was saying (to him: *ko*) You yourself say.
Eshi u Yesu ahemeleye hwilongolela lya Liwali na uliwali akhamwozya, “Je! Awe uli mwene wa Wayahudi?” U Yesu akhajibu, “Awe uyejesho.”
12 And in accusing of Him by the chief priests and (the *ko*) elders no [thing] He answered.
Lakini lwawasitakiwa na bhagosi wa makuhani na bhazee, saga ahajibu lyolyonti.
13 Then says to Him Pilate; Not do you hear how many things You they witness against?
Nantele u Pilato akhamuozya, “Sagauyuvyezye amashitaka gonti agakho?”
14 And not He did answer him to not even one word so as to amaze the governor exceedingly.
Lakini sanga akhajibu ineno hala lyenka akhaswinga uliwali.
15 At now [the] feast had been accustomed the governor to release one to the multitude prisoner whom they were wishing.
Hwisiku zisikulukulu ihali kawaida uliwali humungulile yapimyilwe weka yasalulilwe na winchi.
16 They were holding now at that time a prisoner notable being named (Jesus *NO*) Barabbas.
Uwakati uwo bhahali nuyoapinyilwe wimatata ilawa lyakwe yu Baraba.
17 When were assembled therefore they said to them Pilate; Whom do you want [that] I may release to you? (Jesus *NO*) (*no*) Barabbas or Jesus who is named Christ?
Lwabhawungene peka upilato akhabha wuzya yunanu yamuhunza imungulile kwa ajili yunyu?” Ubaraba au Uyesu yahwetwa Klisiti?”
18 He knew for that through envy they delivered up him.
Maana akhamenye aje tayari bhakhe kwa sababu bhavitililwe.
19 When was sitting now he on the judgment seat sent to him the wife of him saying; [Let there be] nothing between you and the righteous [man] that; many things for I suffered today in a dream because of Him.
Wakati akheye hwitengo ililonzi, ushe wakwe akhatwalila ineno aje, “Usakawombe lyolyonti hwa muntu uyo yasanga alini mbibhi. Yaani indawile hani ilelo mundonto kwa ajili yakwe.”
20 And the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds that they may ask for Barabbas, and Jesus may destroy.
Ndipo abhagosi wa makuhani na bhazee bhakhabhakondelezya amakutano aje bhanabhe u Baraba, u Yesu afye.
21 Answering now the governor said to them; Which do you desire of the two I may release to you? And they said; (*no*) Barabbas.
Uliwali akhabhawuzya, “Yunani kati ya bhabhile yamuhwa nza amwe ineshele?” Bhakhayanga, “Ubaraba.”
22 Says to them Pilate; What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ? They say (to him *k*) all; he should be crucified.
U Pilato ahawawuzya, “Imombe wele u Yesu yahwetwa Klisiti?” Wonti bhahamuozyo, “Amayembe”
23 And (governor *k*) was saying: What for evil did He commit? And excessively they were crying out saying; he should be crucified.
Nape ahayanga, “Shunu likosashi awombile?” Lakini bhahojelela apwaje isauti hata humwanya hani, “Ayembe.”
24 Having seen now Pilate that no [thing] it availed but rather a riot is arising, having taken water he washed the hands (opposite *NK(o)*) the crowd saying; Guiltless I am of the blood (righteous [one] *KO*) of this; For yourselves you will behold.
Epo Upilato lwa saga awajiye awombe lyolyonti, ivurugu ziahandile ahenga amenze ahazuguzila inyobhe zyakwe hwilogolela ilya winchi, na yanje aje, “Ane sagandi ninogwa juu yi danda iya muntu uno yasanga alinibibhi. Genyanji ega mwe mwemwe.”
25 And answering all the people said; The blood of Him [be] on us and on the children of us.
Awanti wonti bhahayanga, “Idanda lyakwe liwe juu yetu na bhana wetu.”
26 Then he released to them Barabbas; and Jesus having flogged He delivered up [Him] that He may be crucified.
Epo ahamungulila u Baraba wao, lakini ahakhoma amijeledi u Yesu na ahabhapela awene abhale hukhobhehanye.
27 Then the soldiers of the governor having taken with [them] Jesus to the Praetorium gathered before Him all the cohort,
Nantele abharugu bha liwali bhahamwenga u Yesu mpaka Praitorio ni kundi igosi lya bhalongu wonti bhakhamunganila.
28 And having stripped Him a robe scarlet they put around Him,
Bhahavula amenda gwakwe na hukwatizye igololeli langi ishamamu.
29 And having twisted together a crown of thorns they put [it] on (the head *N(k)O*) of Him and a reed (in the right hand *N(k)O*) of Him, and having bowed the knees before Him (they mocked *N(k)O*) Him saying; Hail (the *k*) (King *N(k)O*) of the Jews!
Tena bhahagomba itaji yi mivwa na bhaiwehe hwitwe lyakwe na hususye, bhahayanga, “Salamu, Wamwene wa Wayahudi?”
30 And having spit upon Him they took the reed and were striking [Him] on the head of Him.
Na bhaswelela amate, na bhahenga imwanzi na hukhome hwitwe.
31 And when they had mocked Him, they took off Him the robe and they put on Him the garments of Him and led away Him to to crucify [Him].
Wakati bhahususya bhakhavulile igolole na hukwatizye amenda gakwe, na hunogole abhale hukhobhehanye.
32 Going forth now they found a man of Cyrene named Simon; Him they compelled that he may carry the cross of Him.
Lwabhafuma hoze, bhahanola umuntu afume ilawa Krene ilawa likwa yu Simeoni, uyo bhakhanazimisya abhale nao ili anyumule ishikhomehayo shakwe.
33 And having come to a place being named Golgotha, (which *N(k)O*) is of a Skull Place being named,
Lwabhafikha pala Pagaligotha, imaana yakwe, “Ieneo lya ifupa litwe.”
34 they gave Him to drink (wine *N(K)O*) with gall mingled, and having tasted not (He wished *N(k)O*) to drink [it].
Bhakhapela siki yabhasnganyenye ni nyongo amwele. Lakini lwawonga saga ahamwela.
35 having crucified now Him they divided the garments of Him casting lots, (so that may be fulfilled which having been spoken by prophet they divided the garments of mine themselves and upon the clothing of mine they cast lots *K*)
Lwabha khomehanya, bhahagabhana amenda gakwe bhahahoma ikura.
36 And sitting down they were guarding Him there,
Na bhahakhala na humwenye.
37 And they put up over the head of Him the accusation of Him written: This is Jesus the King of the Jews.
Hwitwe lya Yesu bhahaweshele inongwa yakwe ihabhaziwanga, “Uno yu Yesu, umwene wa Wayahudi.”
38 At the same time are crucified with Him two robbers, one at [the] right hand and one at [the] left.
Bhabhahupa bhabhile bhahakhobhe nywepeka numwene, weka ahali upande wa nelo wakwe na uwamwao wa humongo.
39 Those now passing by were denigrating Him wagging the heads of them
Bhala bhabhashilanga bhasosyanga bhahayizianga amatwe gao
40 and saying; You who [are] destroying the temple and in three days building [it], do save Yourself! If [the] Son You are of God, (also *n*) do descend from the cross!
na humozya, “Awe wawazaga anaganye ishibhanza na azenye husiku zitatu uyokole wewe! Nkuli mwana wa Ngulubhe, ikha pasi uyepe mumalabha!”
41 Likewise (now *ko*) also the chief priests mocking with the scribes and elders (and Pharisees *O*) were saying;
Katika ihali yiyela abhagosi wa makuhani bhasosyanga peka na abhasimbi na abhazee, na humuozye,
42 Others He saved, Himself not is He able to save. (if *k*) King of Israel He is, he should descend now from the cross, and we will believe (in *no*) (Him. *N(k)O*)
“Ahokoye abhanche. Yu mwene wa Wayahudi. Na ayishi pasi afume mumalabha, epo tinza humweteshe.
43 He has trusted on God; he should deliver now (him *ko*) if He wants Him; He said for that Of God I am [the] Son.
Ahasobhenye Ungulobhe. Lekha Ungolobhe amwokole eshi nkashele ahuanza, nkashele ahuanza, nkashila ahayenje, 'Ane nene mwana wa Ngolobhe.”
44 And likewise even the robbers those having been crucified (with *no*) Him were upbraiding (Him. *N(k)O*)
Na wala bhabhahupa bhabhakhomagenywe peka nu Yesu nape bhahayenje hususye.
45 From then [the] sixth hour darkness was over all the land until [the] hour ninth.
Eshi afume msaa sita hwahali ahinsi munsi yonti hata saa tisa.
46 About then the ninth hour (cried out *NK(o)*) Jesus in a voice loud saying; (Eli Eli, *NK(o)*) lema sabachthani? That is: God of Mine God of Mine, so why so why Me have you forsaken?
Lwayafiha saa tisa, u Yesu ahalila husauti ingosi, “Eloi, Eloi, lama thabakithan?” Imana yakwe, “Ngolobhe wane, Ngolobhe wane mbona undeshile?”
47 Some then of those who there having stood listening were saying that Elijah calls this [man].
Uwakati uwo bhahali awamo bhemeleye pala bhahovya lwayanga, “Ahukwinza u Eliya.”
48 And immediately having run one of them and having taken a sponge, having filled [it] and with vinegar and having put [it] on a reed were giving to drink Him.
Haraka weka ahashembela ahwenje isifongo na huimyeme isha mwele ishikhali, ahaibhiha huwanya yikwi na hupele ili amwele.
49 And the rest (were saying; *NK(o)*) Wait! let us see whether comes Elijah to then save Him. (another now having taken a spear pierced of him side and went out water and blood. *O*)
Nape bhabhahasageye bhahayanga, “Neshe mwene, leshe tenye u Eliya nkahwenza humwokole.”
50 And Jesus again having cried in a voice loud yielded up [His] spirit.
Nantele u Yesu ahalila husauti ingosi aifumya iloho yakwe.
51 And behold the veil of the temple was torn from top until bottom into two, and the earth was shaken, and the rocks were split,
Enya, ipazia lya mshibhanza lyahazembukha isehemu zibhile, afume humwanya mpaka pasi. Na insi ihayingile, na amawe gahabazushe vipande.
52 and the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the having fallen asleep saints (were raised, *N(k)O*)
Amakaburi gahugushe amabele gabhagolosu wichi bhabhahagonile utulo bhahazyoshile.
53 and having gone forth out of the tombs after the resurrection of Him they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.
Bhahafumile mumakaburi lwawazyoha, bhahawinjila umji ugolosu, na bhahakhoneha na winchi.
54 And the centurion and those with him keeping guard over Jesus having seen the earthquake and the [things that] (were happening *NK(o)*) feared greatly saying; Truly God’s Son was this.
Basi ula uakida na walabhahamwenyaga u Yesu bhahalola itetemeko na amambo gagahafumiye, bhahabha nuwongo sana nayanji aje, “Lyoli onu ahali mwana wa Ngolobhe.”
55 They were now there women many from afar off looking on who followed Jesus from Galilee ministering to Him,
Awashe winchi bhahafuatile u Yesu afume Hugalilaya ili humwombele bhahali pala humwenye afume hulali.
56 among whom was Mary Magdalene and Mary she of James and (of Joseph *N(k)O*) [the] mother and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

Lwayafiha ilyebhela umuntu utajili afume Arimathayo, yahetelwa u Yusufu, nantele ahali mwanafunzi wa Yesu.
58 He having gone to Pilate asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded it to be given up (the body. *ko*)
Ahamalila u Pilato hunabhe ubele gwa Yesu. Upilato ahalajizya bhapele.
59 And having taken the body Joseph wrapped it (in *no*) a linen cloth clean
Uyusufu ahawejile ubele ahaupinya na menda gi sufi inzeru,

63 saying; Sir, we have remembered how that [on, e] the deceiver said while living; After three days I arise.
Bhahamuozya, “Bwana, tuzushe aje ula wilenkho lwahali momi ahajile, 'Baada yi siku zitatu anzazyoshe.'
64 do command therefore to be secured the tomb until the third day, otherwise otherwise having come the disciples of Him (night *K*) may steal away him and they may say to the people; He is risen from the dead. And will be the last deception worse than the first.

U Pilato ahabhawuozya, “Eji abhalizi. Bhalaji muweshe usalama shamulolile.”
66 And having gone they made secure the tomb having sealed the stone with the guard.
Basi bhahabhalile aweshe usalama hwikaburi iwe lyahahomwa umuhuri naweshe abhalinzi.
