< Matthew 26 >

1 And it came to pass when finished Jesus all words these, He said to the disciples of Him;

2 You know that after two days the Passover takes place, and the Son of Man is delivered over to be crucified.

3 Then were gathered together the chief priests (and scribes *K*) and the elders of the people in the courtyard of the high priest who is being named Caiaphas
Taciang in thiampi lian te, thukhamhil te le mi upa te thiampi sang Caiaphas leitual ah ki kaikhawm uh a,
4 and they plotted together in order that Jesus by guile they may seize and may kill.
Jesus man ku in, a thalup thei natu thu ngeal uh hi.
5 They were saying however; Not [seize him] during the feast, that not a riot may happen among the people.

6 And of Jesus having been in Bethany in [the] house of Simon the leper
Bethany khua ah Simon kici miphak pa inn ah Jesus a om laitak in,
7 came to Him a woman having an alabaster flask of fragrant oil very costly and poured [it] on (the head *N(k)O*) when he is reclining.
Anne in a to na mun ah numei khat, a manham mama sathau namtui alabaster thawlkhat keng in hongpai a, Jesus lu tung pan buak hi.
8 Having seen then the disciples (of him *k*) became indignant saying; For what purpose [is] the waste this?
Ahihang a nungzui te in a mu uh ciang in thin-uk uh a, banghang in hibang ki pakvawt ziam?
9 It was possible for this (*k*) (fragrant oil *K*) to be sold for much and to be given to [the] poor.
Banghangziam cile hi sathau namtui sia a mantam in zuak in, mizawng te piak tu hi, ci uh hi.
10 Having known [this] now Jesus said to them; Why trouble do you cause to the woman? A work for beautiful she did to Me myself.
Tua thu Jesus in a heak ciang in, Banghang in numei nu nawngkaisak nu ziam? hi numei nu in ka tung ah napha vawt hi.
11 Always for the poor you have with yourselves, Me myself however not always you have.
Banghangziam cile mizawng te sia noma taw om tawntung hi; ahihang kei hong om tawntung ngawl khi hi.
12 In pouring for this [woman] fragrant oil this on the body of Mine for to bury Me she did [it].
Ka pumpi tung ah sathau namtui hong buak na sia, keima ki vui natu in hong vawt a hihi.
13 Amen I say to you; wherever if shall be proclaimed gospel this in all the world, will be spoken of also that which did this [woman] for a memorial of her.
A tatak in kong ci ciang, leitung theampo lungdamna thu ki son na theampo ah hi numei nu vawt thu zong ama phaw tawntung na in son tu uh hi, ci hi.
14 Then having gone one of the Twelve, the [one] being named Judas Iscariot, to the chief priests
Tua zawkciang Judas Iscariot a kici, nungzui sawmleni sung pan khat pa sia, thiampi lian te kung ah pai a,
15 he said; What are you willing me to give, and I myself and I myself to you will betray Him? And they appointed to him thirty pieces of silver.
Amate tung ah, Jesus note hong ap leng bang nong pia tu uh ziam? ci hi. Amate in dangka sawmthum taw thukim na vawt uh hi.
16 And from that time he was seeking an opportunity that Him he may betray.
Tua hun pan kipan Jesus a ap thei natu hunpha zong tan hi.
17 On the now first [day] of the unleavened [bread] came the disciples to Jesus saying (to him: *k*) Where wish you [that] (we may prepare *NK(o)*) for You to eat the Passover?
Tol saw ngawl anluum poai ni masabel ni in nungzui te Jesus kung ah hongpai a, paisan poai ciang in, koisung ah anneakna tu mun vawtsak tu khu ziam? ci uh hi.
18 And He said; do go into the city unto a certain man and do tell him: the Teacher says; The time for Me near is, with you I keep the Passover with the disciples of Mine.’
Jesus in, Khuapi sung ah pai tavun a, khat i tung ah hibang son vun, Syapa in ka hun cing zo hi; ka nungzui te taw na inn ah paisan poai vawt tu khi hi, ci hi, ci in sawl hi.
19 And did the disciples as directed them Jesus, and prepared the Passover.
A nungzui te in Jesus sawl bangin vawt uh a, paisan poai atu kinging khol uh hi.
20 As evening now having arrived He was reclining with the twelve (disciples. *O*)
Nitaksang ciang in Jesus sia a nungzui sawmleni te taw to uh hi.
21 And when were eating they He said; Amen I say to you that one of you will betray Me.
Amate an a neak uh laitak Jesus in, A mantak in ka ci ciang, note sung pan khat in kei hong leheak tu nu hi, ci hi.
22 And being grieved exceedingly they began to say to Him one each (of them: *k*) surely not ever I myself is it, Lord?
Amate sia he mama uh a, khat zawkciang khat in, Topa, keima ka hi ziam? ci in dong tek uh hi.
23 And answering He said; The [one] having dipped with Me the hand in the dish he Me will betray.
Jesus in, Keima taw kuang sung a sawkkhawm sia in kei hong leheak tu hi.
24 Indeed the Son of Man goes even as it has been written about Him, woe however for the man that [one] through whom the Son of Man is betrayed; Better was being for him if not was born the man that.
A ki atsa om bang in, mihing Tapa sia pai tu hi: ahihang mihing Tapa a leheak sia a hile, a mailam bing hi, ama sia piang bale phazaw hi, ci in zo kik hi.
25 Answering now Judas who is betraying Him said; surely not ever I myself is it, Rabbi? He says to him; You yourself have said.
Topa a leheak pa Judas Ischariot in, Topa, keima khi ziam? ci in dong a, Jesus in, Na ci bang in man hi, ci in zo kik hi.
26 When were eating now they having taken Jesus (*k*) bread and (having blessed *NK(O)*) broke [it], and (giving *N(k)O*) to the disciples (and *k*) He said; do take do eat; this is the body of Me.

27 And having taken (*k*) a cup and having given thanks He gave [it] to them saying; do drink of it all of you;
Tua zawkciang hai zong la in, lungdam a ko zawkciang, amate pia a, Na vekpi in dawn vun;
28 This for is the blood of Mine (*k*) of the (of a new *KO*) covenant for many being poured out for forgiveness of sins.
Banghangziam cile, hisia in thuciam thak taw kisai mi tampi te mawna maisakna tu in a luang ka thisan a hihi.
29 I say now to you (that: *k*) certainly not shall I drink from now of this the (fruit *N(k)O*) of the vine until the day that when it I may drink with you anew in the kingdom of the Father of Mine.
Ahihang kei kong ci na pan, hibang sapittui a thak sia ka Pa kumpingam sung ah note taw ka dawn kik mateng, bangmahun in dawn kik ngawl tu khi hi, ci hi.
30 And having sung a hymn they went out to the Mount of Olives.
Amate la asak zawk uh ciang, Olive mualtung zuan in pai uh hi.
31 Then says to them Jesus; All you yourselves will fall away because of Me myself during night this; It has been written for: I will strike the shepherd, and (they will be scattered *N(k)O*) the sheep of the flock.’
Tua zawkciang Jesus in, Tuucingpa ka that tu a, tuu hon te kikhen in peakkeak tu hi, ci in a ki atkhol bang in, na vekpi in tu zan keima hang in thinno mama tu nu hi.
32 After however to raise Me I will go before you into Galilee.
Ahihang ka thawkik zawkciang in, Galilee ah note mai ah ka na paikhol tu hi, ci hi.
33 Answering now Peter said to Him; If (even *k*) all will fall away because of You, I myself (but *k*) never will fall away.
Peter in, mi theampo nangma hang in thinkiam in om kale, kei ka thinkiam batu hi, ci in zo hi.
34 was saying to him Jesus; Amen I say to you that during this night before [the] rooster crowing three times you will deny Me.
Jesus in, A tatak kong ci ciang, tu zan ak khuan ma thum vei hong nial tu ni hi, ci hi.
35 Says to Him Peter; Even if Even if it shall be necessary for me with You to die, certainly not You (I will deny. *NK(o)*) Likewise (now *o*) also all the disciples said.
Peter in, nangma taw ka thi tu ahizong hong nial ngawl tu khi hi, ci hi. Tasia bangma in nungzui dang theampo in zong ci uh hi.
36 Then comes with them Jesus to a place being named Gethsemane and He says to the disciples; do sit here until that having gone away over there I may pray.

37 And having taken with [Him] Peter and the two sons of Zebedee He began to be sorrowful and to be deeply distressed.
Peter le Zebedee tapa ni te paipui a, thinngim mama le thuakhak na hong kipan hi.
38 Then He says to them (*o*) (Jesus: *O*) Very sorrowful is the soul of Mine until death; do remain here and do watch with Me.
Tasiaciang amate tung ah, Thi tu za dong in ka thinngim hi: ziak ah om vun a, keima taw ngak nginge vun, ci hi.
39 And (having gone forward *NK(o)*) a little He fell upon face of Him praying and saying; Father of Mine, if possible it is, should pass from Me cup this; Nevertheless not [it is] as I myself wish but as You.

40 And He comes to the disciples and finds them sleeping And He says to Peter; Thus not were you able one hour to watch with Me?
A nungzui te kung ah hongpai a, a mate a mu sa in mu hi, taciang Peter kung ah, Nai khatpo zong hong ngak zo ngawl nu ziam?
41 do watch and do pray that not you may enter into temptation. The indeed spirit [is] willing however the flesh weak.
Ze-etna sung ah na tum ngawl natu thungen in ngak vun: thaa sia ukna nei ahihang, pumpi sia thaneam hi, ci hi.
42 Again for a second time having gone away He prayed saying; Father of Mine, if not is possible this (cup *K*) to pass (from Me *k*) only unless it I shall drink, [then] should be [done] the will of You.

43 And having come again (He found *N(k)O*) them sleeping; were for of them the eyes wearied.

44 And having left them again having gone away He prayed for [the] third time the same thing having said (again. *no*)
Jesus in amate nusia in khatvei paikik a, a ngetsa bangma in a thumvei na ngen hi.
45 Then He comes to the disciples (of him *k*) and says to them; Sleep later on and take your rest; Behold has drawn near the hour, and the Son of Man is betrayed into [the] hands of sinners.
Tua zawkciang nungzui te kung ah hongpai a, Tu in mu vun a, tawlnga vun, mihing Tapa sia mawnei te khut ah ap tu hun hong theng zo hi.
46 do rise up let us go; Behold he has drawn near who is betraying Me!
Tho vun a, pai tawng, en vun keima hong ap sia pa hong theng zo hi, ci hi.
47 And yet when he is speaking behold Judas one of the Twelve came, and with him a crowd great with swords and clubs from the chief priests and elders of the people.
Tabang in Jesus a pau laitak in, en vun, nungzui sawmleni sung pan khat a hi, Judas hongpai a, thiampi lian te le ulian te i sawl mihon tampi te zong namsau le moltum te toai in hongpai hi.
48 The [one] then betraying Him gave to them a sign saying; Whomever maybe I may kiss, He himself it is; do seize Him.
Jesus a ap sia pa in, ka nap sia Ama hi, man vun; ci in heaksakna pia khol zo hi.
49 And immediately having come up to Jesus he said; Greetings Rabbi, and kissed Him.
Taciang Jesu kung ah manlang tak in hongpai a, Topa, na tung ah thupha om tahen; ci in nam hi.
50 And Jesus said to him; Friend, [do] for (what *N(k)O*) you are come. Then having come to [him] they laid hands on Jesus and seized Him.
Jesus in, Lawm awng, banghang hongpai ni ziam? ci hi. Tua zawkciang amate hongpai a, Jesus man in paipui uh hi.
51 And behold one of those with Jesus having stretched out the hand drew the sword of him, and having struck the servant of the high priest cut off of him the ear.
En vun, Jesus taw omkhawm khat in, a namsau dok in thiampi lian pa i naseam pa sat ahikom, a bil tawng pai hi.
52 Then says to him Jesus; do return the sword of you into the place of it; all for those having taken [the] sword by [the] sword (will perish. *NK(o)*)
Tasiaciang in Jesus in ama kung ah, Na namsau ama omna mun ah koikik in: banghangziam cile namsau a zam te, namsau taw ma in thi kik tu hi.
53 Or think you that not I am able to call upon the Father of Mine, and He will furnish to Me presently (more *N(k)O*) (than *k*) twelve (legions *N(k)O*) of angels?
Tu mama in ka Pa tung ah ngen thei khi hi, ci le, ngen leng vantungmi hon sawmleni sang tamzaw hong sawl tu hi, ci thu ngaisun nagwl ni ziam?
54 How then may be fulfilled the Scriptures that so it must be being?
Ahihang hibang hi tu hi, ci laithiangtho sung a ki atkholsa thu te bangbang tangtung thei tu ziam? ci hi.
55 In that [very] hour said Jesus to the crowds; As against a robber did you come out with swords and clubs to capture Me? Every day (to you *KO*) in the temple I was sitting teaching and not you did seize Me.
Tua hun laitak in mihonpi te tung ah, Note, banghang nguta man tu bang in namsau le moltum taw kei man tu in hongpai nu ziam? biakinn sung ah thuhil in nisim note taw ka to lai hong man ngawl nu hi.
56 This then all has come to pass that may be fulfilled the Scriptures of the prophets. Then the disciples all having forsaken Him fled.
Ahihang hi thu te sia, kamsang te atkholsa laithiangtho a tangtun natu a hihi, ci hi. Tasiaciang in a nungzui te theampo in ama nusia in, tai siat uh hi.
57 Those then having seized Jesus led [Him] away to Caiaphas the high priest where the scribes and the elders were assembled.
Jesus a man te in thukhamhil te le ulian te ki kaikhop na mun thiampi sang Caiaphas kung ah paipui uh hi.
58 And Peter was following Him from afar until the court of the high priest, And having entered within he was sitting with the guards to see the outcome.
Peter in a khuala thithim na pan zui in thiampi sangbel pa leitual dong pai a, a tawp dong en tu in naseam te taw to khawm hi.
59 And the chief priests and (elders and *K*) the Council whole were seeking false testimony against Jesus so that him (they may put to death *NK(o)*)
Thiampi lian te, upa te le council te theampo in Jesus that thei tu in leilot tetti te zong uh hi;
60 but not any they found (and *k*) of many having come forward as false witnesses (not they found. *k*) Finally then having come forward two (false witnesses *k*)
Ahihang khat zong a mu bua uh hi, leilot tetti tam mama hongpai napi khat zong a mu bua uh hi. A khakbel ciang leilot tetti ni hongpai a,
61 they said; This [man] was saying: I am able to destroy the temple of God and in three days to rebuild it (him. *k*)
Hisia pa in Pathian biakinn sia pheltam in nithum sung sa kik thei khi hi, ci hi.
62 And having stood up the high priest said to Him; No [thing] answer you? What these you do witness against?
Thiampi lianbelpa hong ding a, bangma zo kik ngawl tu ni ziam? Hite tetti te in bangbang in nangma hong langpan ziam? ci hi.
63 And Jesus was silent. And (answering *k*) the high priest said to Him; I adjure you by God the living that us may you tell if You yourself are the Christ the Son of God.
Ahihang Jesus huthe ngawl hi. Thiampi sangbel pa in, nang Christ a kici Pathian Tapa na hile hi ngawl nong son tu in a nungta Pathian min taw kong ngen hi, ci hi.
64 Says to him Jesus; You yourself have said. But I say to you; from now you will behold the Son of Man sitting at [the] right hand of Power and coming upon the clouds of heaven.
Jesus in, Na ci bang in man hi: ahihang keima in kong ci hi, tu zo mihing Tapa sia vangletna ziatsang ah to in mei tung pan hong tuaksuk na mu tu uh hi, ci hi.
65 Then the high priest tears the garments of him saying (that: *k*) He has blasphemed; why any more need have we of witnesses? Behold now you have heard the blasphemy (of him. *k*)

66 What you do think? And answering they said; Deserving of death He is.

67 Then they spat in the face of Him and struck Him. Others then slapped [Him]

68 saying; do prophesy to us, Christ, who is the [one] having struck You?
Kua na hong beang ziam? nang Christ, kamsang bang in hong son tan, ci uh hi.
69 And Peter was sitting outside in the court. and came to him one servant girl saying; Also You yourself were with Jesus the Galilean.
Peter sia leitual ah a to laitak in, naseam numei khat a kung ah hongpai a, nang zong Gelilee mi Jesus taw om khawm nu hi, ci hi.
70 And he denied before (them *k*) all saying; Not I know what you say.

71 Having gone out then (him *k*) to the porch saw him another [servant girl] and she says (to those *NK(o)*) there; (and *ko*) This [man] was with Jesus of Nazareth.

72 And again he denied with an oath that Not I know the man.
Peter in kiciam na kammal taw hisia pa he ngawl khi hi, ci nial leleau hi.
73 After a little while also having come to [him] those having stood they said to Peter; Surely also you yourself of them are; even for the speech of you away you gives.
Tuazawk a ngei ngawl in tua mun ah a ding te Peter kung ah hongpai a, nang sia hi mite sung ah ki hel te khat hi lalawm ni hi; banghangziam cile na paudan taw ki he hi, ci hi.
74 Then he began to curse and to swear that Not I know the man! And immediately a rooster crowed.

75 And remembered Peter the declaration (*k*) of Jesus having said (to him *k*) that Before [the] rooster crowing three times you will deny Me, And having gone out he wept bitterly.
