Matthew 23
1 Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to the disciples of Him

2 saying; On Moses’ seat sat down the scribes and the Pharisees;

3 All things therefore as much as (if *N(k)O*) they shall tell you (to keep *K*) (do perform *N(k)O*) and do observe. After however the works of them not do perform; They speak for and not act.

4 They tie up (now *N(k)O*) burdens heavy and hard to bear and lay [them] on the shoulders of men; themselves however with the finger of them not are they willing to move them.
Banghangziam cile amate in a puak zawk ngawl tu vanngit te sia hen in mihing te i liangko tung ah suan uh a, puasak uh a hi hang amate a hile, a khutme dawn taw zong tham nuam ngawl uh hi.
5 All now the deeds of them they do in order to be seen by men; They broaden (for *N(k)O*) the phylacteries of them and enlarge tassels (the *k*) (of garments of them. *K*)

6 They love (now *N(k)O*) the chief place at the banquets and the first seats in the synagogues

7 and the greetings in the marketplaces and to be called by men Rabbi (Rabbi. *K*)

8 you yourselves however not may be called Rabbi; One for is of you the (Teacher *N(k)O*) (Christ *K*) all now you yourselves brothers are.

9 And father no [one] may call of you on the earth; One for is of you the Father who [is] (in heaven. *N(k)O*)
Taciang in hileitung ah kuama, pa, ci heak vun: banghangziam cile vantung a om na Pa uh khat bekma om hi.
10 Neither may be called instructors, (since *N(k)O*) (the *k*) instructor of you is One the Christ.
Christ bekma na Topa uh ahikom kuama peuma, topa, ci in ki sam heak tahen.
11 And the greatest among you will be your servant.
Ahizong note sung pan a lianbel sia na naseam uh hi tu hi,
12 He who then will exalt himself will be humbled, and whoever will humble himself will be exalted.
Akua mapo ama le ama a ki lamsang sia khiaksuk na thuak tu hi.
13 Woe (however *no*) to you, scribes and Pharisees hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of the heavens before men; You yourselves for neither enter nor even those entering do you allow to go in.
Ahihang thukhamhil te le Pharisee te, a ki hitheamsak te, na mailam uh bing hi, banghangziam cile, vantung kumpingam na khaktan uh a, noma le tum nuam ngawl bekdom ngawl a tum nuam te zong na tumsak bua uh hi.
14 (woe to you scribes and Pharisees hypocrites for you devour houses widows and as a pretext long praying; through this you will receive more excessive judgment. *K*)
Thukhamhil te le Pharisee te awng! na mailam uh bing hi! banghangziam cile note in meingong te inn te sia ngongtat in na suttol uh a, a sau theiza in thu ki ngen theamsak nu hi: Tua ahikom dan a lianzaw na thuak tu uh hi.
15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees hypocrites! For you traverse the sea and the dry [land] to make one convert, and when he may become [so], you make him a son of hell twofold more than yourselves. (Geenna g1067)
Thukhamhil te le Pharisee te, a kihitheamsak te, na mailam uh bing hi! banghangziam cile mi khat biakna lai tu in tuipi le leitung kimveal in na vak uh a, a ki kheal zawkciang note sang in a se ni tamzaw Hell ngam i ta na suaksak uh hi. (Geenna g1067)
16 Woe to you, guides blind you who [are] saying; Who[ever] maybe may swear by the temple, no [thing] it is; who[ever] however maybe may swear by the gold of the temple is bound.
No mittaw lamlak te, na mailam uh bing hi, khatpo in biakinn sam in a kiciam le bangma poimaw ngawl hi, ahihang a kuamapo biakinn a om kham sam in a kiciam le ama sia leiba nei hi, na ci uh hi.
17 Foolish and blind! Which for greater is, the gold or the temple which (is sanctifying *N(k)O*) the gold?
No mi mawmaw le mittaw te: bang lianzaw ziam, kham maw, a hibale kham a thiangthosak biakinn koisia hi zaw?
18 And [you say] Who[ever] (maybe *N(k)O*) shall swear by the altar, no [thing] it is; who[ever] however maybe shall swear by the gift that [is] upon it, is bound.
Khat po in biaktau sam in a kiciam le bangma poimaw ngawl hi, ahihang khatpo in tua tung ah biakpiakna a ki piasia sam in a kiciam le ama sia mawnei hi.
19 (foolish and *K*) You blind men! Which for [is] greater, the gift or the altar which is sanctifying the gift?
No mi mawmaw le mittaw te! bang lianzaw ziam; biaktau ah a ki pia sia maw, a hibale a ki pia sia a thiangsak biaktau lianzaw ziam?
20 The [one] therefore having sworn by the altar swears by it and by all things that [are] upon it,
Tua ahikom mihing khat in biaktau sam in a kiciam le tua tung ah a om te theampo sam in kiciam a hihi.
21 And the [one] having sworn by the temple swears by it and by the [One] (dwelling *NK(o)*) in it,
Taciang khatpo in biakinn sam in a kiciam le tua biakinn sung ah a om sia sam in kiciam a hihi.
22 And the [one] having sworn by heaven swears by the throne of God and by the [One] sitting upon it.
Taciang van le Pathian tokhum sam in a kiciam peuma tokhum tung ah a to pa sam in kiciam a hihi.
23 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees hypocrites! For you pay tithes of mint and dill and cumin and you have neglected the weightier [matters] of the law, justice and (mercy *N(k)O*) and faithfulness; These (now *no*) it was necessary to do those those not (to be leaving aside. *NK(o)*)
Thukhamhil te, Pharisee te le a ki hitheamsak te, na mailam uh bing hi! banghangziam cile note in lenmui, thihawm le, lonamsia te se sawm sua se khat pia tek napi, thukham sung ah a thupi zaw thukhenna, hesuakna le upna thu te zui ngawl in khe nu hi: tua te sia na vawt tu uh hi a, a dang te zong vawt ngawl in nusiat thong tu hi ngawl hi.
24 Guides blind! you who [are] straining out the gnat, the however camel swallowing!
No mittaw lamlak te, thosi no khat zong ki hel ngawl tu in hawp napi, kala-uk lopval nu hi.
25 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, inwardly however they are full of greed and (self-indulgence. *NK(O)*)
Thukhamhil te, Pharisee te le a ki hitheamsak te, na mailam uh bing hi! banghangziam cile hai le kuang na sil uh ciang in, a puasang bek na sil uh a, a sungsang sia ngual neisa na lak uh le duhopna taw kidim hi.
26 Pharisee blind! do cleanse first the inside of the cup (and *KO*) (of the *ko*) (dish *KO*) that may become also the outside (of it *N(K)O*) clean.
Nang Pharisee mittaw pa, hai le kuang te a sungsang sil masa in a, a puasang zong thiang tu hi.
27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees hypocrites! For (you resemble *NK(o)*) tombs whitewashed which outside indeed appear beautiful, Inside however they are full of bones of [the] dead and of all impurity.
Thukhamhil te, Pharisee te le a ki hitheamsak te, na mailam uh bing hi! banghangziam cile, note sia za ngo a ki zut thankul taw na kibang uh hi, a puasang sia a hoi tu bang in kilang napi, a sungsang sia mithi ngu le a thiang ngawl taw kidim hi.
28 Thus also you yourselves outside indeed appear to men righteous, inwardly however you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
Tasia bangma in note zong na puasang uh sia mihing te mai ah a thutang in kilang napi, na sungsang uh sia ki hitheamsak na le siatna taw dim hi.
29 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous
Thukhamhil te, Pharisee te le a ki hitheamsak te, na mailam uh bing hi! banghangziam cile kamsang te thankul na sa uh a, mi thutang te thankul te zong a hoi mama in zeam nu hi,
30 and you say; If (we were *N(k)O*) in the days of the fathers of us, not then would (we were ourselves being *N(k)O*) with them partakers in the blood of the prophets,
Ka pu ka pa te hun lai koma om kana le ung, kamsang te thisan luan na ah ki hel ngawl tu kana khu hi, ci nu hi.
31 Thus you bear witness to yourselves that sons you are of those having murdered the prophets;
Tua ahikom kamsangte a that te na hi uh hi, ci noma mama tetti te na hi uh hi.
32 And you yourselves do fill up the measure of the fathers of you.
Tua ahikom na pu na pa te i ki te na note in dim tavun.
No ngul suan te, hell ngam thet natu pan bangbang suakta thei tu nu ziam? (Geenna g1067)
34 Because of this behold I myself send to you prophets and wise [men] and scribes; (and *k*) Some of them you will kill and will crucify and [some] of them you will flog in the synagogues of you and will persecute from town to town;
Tua ahikom, en vun, note kung ah kamsang te, mipil te le thukhamhil te kong paisak a, pawlkhat te sia that in thinglamte tung ah khai tu nu hi; taciang pawlkhat te sia synagogue sung ah vel in le khuapi khat zawkciang khat ah vawtsia tu nu hi.
35 so that may come upon you all [the] blood righteous being poured out upon the earth, from the blood of Abel the righteous until the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
Tua ahikom a thutang Abel thisan pan kipan biakinn le biaktau ki kal ah na thalup uh Barachias tapa Zachariah thisan ciangdong, leitung ah a luang thisan theampo note tung ah hong theng tu hi.
36 Amen I say to you; (that *o*) will come these things all upon generation this.
A tatak in kong ci ciang, hi thu te theampo sia tu hun mihing te tung ah theng tu hi.
37 Jerusalem Jerusalem you who [are] (killing *NK(o)*) the prophets and stoning those sent to her! How often I wanted to gathered together the children of you, in which way a hen gathers together the chicks (of her *N(k)O*) under the wings, and not you were willing?

38 Behold is left to you the house of you desolate!

39 I say for to you; certainly not Me shall you see from now until when you may say; Blessed [is] the [One] coming in [the] name of [the] Lord.’
