< Matthew 21 >

1 And when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage (on *N(k)O*) the Mount of Olives, then (*ko*) Jesus sent two disciples
ⲁ̅ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩϩⲱⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ⲁⲩⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲏⲇⲫⲁⲅⲏ ⲉⲡⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲛϫⲟⲉⲓⲧ ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ
2 saying to them; (do go *N(k)O*) into the village which [is] (in front *N(k)O*) of you. and immediately you will find a donkey tied and a colt with her; having untied [them] (do bring [them] *NK(o)*) to Me.
ⲃ̅ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲓϯⲙⲉ ⲉⲧⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲙⲧⲟ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁϩⲉ ⲉⲩⲉⲱ ⲉⲥⲙⲏⲣ ⲙⲛⲟⲩⲥⲏϭ ⲛⲙⲙⲁⲥ ⲃⲟⲗⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲓ
3 And if anyone to you may say anything, you will say that the Lord of them need has, Immediately then (he will send *NK(o)*) them.
ⲅ̅ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲙⲙⲏⲧⲛ ⲁϫⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲩϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ϥⲛⲁⲧⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥⲉ
4 This then (all *k*) has come to pass that it may be fulfilled that having been spoken through the prophet saying;
ⲇ̅ⲡⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛⲧⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉϥⲉϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩϫⲟⲟϥ ϩⲓⲧⲙ ⲡⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ
5 do say to the daughter of Zion; Behold the King of you comes to you, gentle and already riding on a donkey even (upon *no*) a colt [the] foal of a beast of burden.
ⲉ̅ϫⲉ ⲁϫⲓⲥ ⲛⲧϣⲉⲉⲣⲉ ⲛⲥⲓⲱⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲣⲟ ⲛⲏⲩ ⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲙⲣⲁϣ ⲡⲉ ⲉϥⲁⲗⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲟⲩⲉⲱ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲛ ⲟⲩⲥⲏϭ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛϥⲁⲓⲛⲁϩⲃ
6 Having gone then the disciples and having done even as (directed *N(k)O*) to them Jesus,
ⲋ̅ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲑⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥϩⲱⲛ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ
7 they brought the donkey and the colt and put (upon *N(k)O*) them the cloaks (of them *k*) and He sat on them.
ⲍ̅ⲁⲩⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲱ ⲙⲛ ⲡⲥⲏϭ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲗⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϩⲟⲓⲧⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁϥⲧⲁⲗⲉ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ
8 The now very great crowd spread their own cloaks on the road, others now were cutting down branches from the trees and were spreading [them] on the road.
ⲏ̅ⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲱϥ ⲁⲩⲡⲱⲣϣ ⲛⲛⲉⲩϩⲟⲓⲧⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϣⲱⲱⲧ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲕⲗⲁⲇⲟⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛϣⲏⲛ ⲉⲩⲡⲱⲣϣ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ
9 The now crowds which are going before (Him *no*) and those following they were crying out saying: Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed [is] the [One] coming in [the] name of [the] Lord! Hosanna in the highest!
ⲑ̅ⲙⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ϩⲁⲧⲉϥϩⲏ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲏϩ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲓϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲱⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ϥⲥⲙⲁⲙⲁⲁⲧ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲏⲩ ϩⲙ ⲡⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲱⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϫⲟⲥⲉ
10 And when was entering He into Jerusalem was stirred all the city saying; Who is this?
ⲓ̅ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ⲁⲥⲛⲟⲉⲓⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲉⲥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ
11 And the crowds were saying; This is the prophet Jesus, the [One] from Nazareth of Galilee.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲙⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲁⲍⲁⲣⲉⲑ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ
12 And entered (*k*) Jesus into the temple (of God *K*) and cast out all those selling and buying in the temple, and the tables of the money changers He overturned and the seats of those selling the doves.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲣⲡⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧϯ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϣⲱⲡ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲙ ⲡⲣⲡⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲣⲁⲡⲉⲍⲁ ⲛⲛⲉⲧϫⲓⲕⲟⲗⲩⲙⲃⲟⲛ ⲁϥϣⲣϣⲱⲣⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲕⲁⲑⲉⲇⲣⲁ ⲛⲛⲉⲧϯ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲉϭⲣⲟⲟⲙⲡⲉ
13 And He says to them; It has been written: The house of Mine a house of prayer will be called,’ You yourselves however it (make *N(k)O*) a den of robbers.’
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ϥⲥⲏϩ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲏⲓ ⲉⲩⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲙⲡⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲥⲡⲟⲓⲗⲁⲓⲟⲛ ⲛⲥⲟⲟⲛⲉ
14 And came to Him blind and lame in the temple, and He healed them.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲁⲩϯ ⲡⲉⲩⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲃⲗⲗⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛϭⲁⲗⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲙ ⲡⲣⲡⲉ ⲁϥⲣⲡⲁϩⲣⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ
15 Having seen now the chief priests and the scribes the wonders that He did and the children (who *no*) are crying out in the temple and saying; Hosanna to the Son of David, they were indignant
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲙⲙⲁⲧⲉⲩⲥ ⲉⲛⲉϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲧⲁϥⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ϣⲏⲙ ⲉⲩϫⲓϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲱⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ⲁⲩⲁⲕⲁⲛⲁⲅⲧⲉⲓ
16 and said to Him; Hear you what these say? And Jesus says to them; Yes. surely sometime you did read that Out of [the] mouth of babes and sucklings You have prepared for yourself praise’?
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲉⲛⲁⲓ ϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲟϣϥ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲧⲧⲁⲡⲣⲟ ⲛⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲕⲟⲩⲓ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϫⲓⲉⲕⲓⲃⲉ ⲁⲕⲥⲟϥⲧⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲙⲟⲩ
17 And having left them He went out of the city to Bethany and He passed the night there.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲁϥⲕⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲥⲁ ⲛⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲃⲏⲑⲁⲛⲓⲁ ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ
18 (Early *N(k)O*) then (he is coming back *NK(o)*) into the city He became hungry,
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ϩⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲕⲟⲧϥ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲁϥϩⲕⲟ
19 And having seen fig tree one along the road He came to it and no [thing] found on it only except leaves alone And He says to it; (certainly *o*) no more from you fruit there may be to the age. And withered immediately the fig tree. (aiōn g165)
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲃⲱ ⲛⲕⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲥ ⲙⲡⲉϥϩⲉ ⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ϩⲓⲱⲱⲥ ⲉⲓⲙⲏⲧⲓ ϩⲉⲛϭⲱⲃⲉ ⲙⲁⲩⲁⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉ ⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲉ ϫⲓⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲁⲥϣⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲃⲱ ⲛⲕⲛⲧⲉ (aiōn g165)
20 And having seen [it] the disciples marveled saying; How so quickly withered the fig tree?
ⲕ̅ⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩⲣϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁϣ ⲛϩⲉ ⲁⲥϣⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲧⲃⲱ ⲛⲕⲛⲧⲉ
21 Answering now Jesus said to them; Amen I say to you; if you shall have faith and not shall doubt, not only the [miracle] of the fig tree will you do, but even if even if to the mountain this you shall say; do be taken away and do be cast into the sea, it will come to pass;
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲏⲧⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛⲧⲙⲣ ϩⲏⲧ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲟⲩ ⲙⲟⲛⲟⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲁⲧⲃⲱ ⲛⲕⲛⲧⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲕⲁⲛ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲁⲛϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲧⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲅⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲁⲗⲁⲥⲥⲁ ⲥⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ
22 And all things as much as (maybe *NK(o)*) you shall ask in prayer believing, you will receive.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁⲁⲓⲧⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ
23 And (when was coming He *N(k)O*) into the temple came to Him teaching the chief priests and the elders of the people saying; By what authority these things are You doing And who to You gave authority this?
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲣⲡⲉ ⲁⲩϯⲡⲉⲩⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉϥϯ ⲥⲃⲱ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲉⲥⲃⲩⲧⲉⲣⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲁϣ ⲛⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ ⲉⲕⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϯ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ
24 Answering now Jesus said to them; Will ask you I myself also I myself also thing one, which if you shall tell Me I myself also I myself also to you will say by what authority these things I do.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ϯⲛⲁϫⲛⲉⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ ⲉⲩϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛϣⲁⲛϫⲟⲟϥ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱ ϯⲛⲁϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲁϣ ⲛⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ
25 The baptism (*no*) of John from where was it? From heaven or from men? And they were reasoning (among *N(k)O*) themselves saying; If we shall say; From heaven, He will say to us; Because of why then not did you believe in him?
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲡⲃⲁⲡⲧⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲉ ⲡⲉ ϫⲛ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲛϣⲁⲛϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲉ ⲡⲉ ϥⲛⲁϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲟⲩ ϭⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ
26 If however we shall say; From men, we fear the multitude; all for as a prophet hold John.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲉϣⲱⲡⲉ ϭⲉ ⲉⲛϣⲁⲛϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲣⲉⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ϩⲱⲥ ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ
27 And answering Jesus they said; Not do we know. Was saying to them also He himself; Neither I myself tell you by what authority these things I do.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲓⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ϩⲱⲱϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϩⲱⲱⲧ ⲟⲛ ⲛϯⲛⲁϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ϩⲛ ⲁϣ ⲛⲉⲝⲟⲩⲥⲓⲁ
28 What however you think? A man had sons two, and having come to the first he said; Son, do go today do work in the vineyard (of mine. *k*)
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲥⲇⲟⲕⲉⲓ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲁϥϯ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲉⲡϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲙⲡⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲅⲣϩⲱⲃ ⲉⲡⲁⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ
29 And answering he said; Not I want to; Afterward however having repented he went.
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲟ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲱⲥ ⲁϥⲣϩⲧⲏϥ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ
30 (and *k*) Having come (then *no*) to the (other *N(K)O*) he said likewise. And answering he said; I myself [will] sir; and not did he go.
ⲗ̅ⲁϥϯ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲟⲛ ⲉⲡⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϩⲓⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ
31 Which of the two did the will of the father? They say (to him: *k*) The (first. *NK(O)*) Says to them Jesus; Amen I say to you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes go before you into the kingdom of God.
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲉⲓⲱⲧ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ ⲙⲛ ⲙⲡⲟⲣⲛⲏ ⲥⲉⲟ ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲉⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
32 Came for John to you in [the] way of righteousness, and not you did believe in him; however the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed in him. you yourselves then having seen (not even *N(k)O*) did repent afterward to believe him.
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲁϥⲉⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ϣⲁⲣⲱⲧⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲓⲱϩⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ϩⲛ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲛⲧⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩⲛⲏ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲙⲡⲟⲣⲛⲏ ⲁⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲱⲧⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲱⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲧⲛⲛⲁⲩ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲛⲣϩⲧⲏⲧⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ
33 Another parable do hear: A man (who *k*) there was a master of a house who planted a vineyard and a fence around it placed and he dug in it a winepress and he built a tower and he rented out it to farmers and he traveled abroad.
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲉⲕⲉⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲣⲙⲙⲁⲟ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲱϭⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ ⲁϥⲕⲧⲟ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲟⲩϫⲟⲗϫⲗ ⲁϥϣⲓⲕⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲣⲱⲧ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ⲁϥⲕⲱⲧ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲩⲣⲅⲟⲥ ⲁϥϯ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲟⲩⲉⲉⲓⲏ ⲁϥⲁⲡⲟⲇⲏⲙⲉⲓ
34 When then drew near the season of the fruits, he sent the servants of him to the farmers to receive the fruits of him.
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϩⲱⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ ⲛⲛⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲉϥϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ϣⲁⲛⲟⲩⲉⲉⲓⲏ ⲉϫⲓ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ
35 And having taken the farmers the servants of him, the one they beat, another and they killed, another and they stoned.
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲉⲓⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲛⲛⲉϥϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲁⲩϩⲓⲟⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧϥ ⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϩⲓⲱⲛⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ
36 Again he sent other servants more than the first, and they did to them likewise.
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲛⲕⲉϩⲙϩⲁⲗ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⲁⲩⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲧⲉⲓϩⲉ
37 Afterward then he sent to them the son of him saying; They will respect the son of mine.
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ⲙⲛ ⲛⲥⲱⲥ ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϣⲓⲡⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲉ
38 But the farmers having seen the son said among themselves; This is the heir; come, let us kill him and (let us have *N(k)O*) the inheritance of him.
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲉⲓⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲁⲙⲏⲓⲧⲛ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲙⲟⲩⲟⲩⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲛϫⲓ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ
39 And having taking him they cast [him] out of the vineyard and killed [him].
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲁⲩϫⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲩⲛⲟⲩϫⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲡⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧϥ
40 When therefore may come the master of the vineyard, what will he do farmers to those?
ⲙ̅ϩⲟⲧⲁⲛ ϭⲉ ⲉϥϣⲁⲛⲉⲓ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ⲙⲡⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲉⲉⲓⲏ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ
41 They say to him; [The] wretches grievously He will destroy them and the vineyard he will rent out to other farmers who will give to him the fruits in the seasons of them.
ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲁⲕⲓⲛ ⲕⲁⲕⲱⲥ ϥⲛⲁⲧⲁⲕⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥϯ ⲙⲡⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲗⲟⲟⲗⲉ ⲛϩⲉⲛⲕⲉⲟⲩⲉⲉⲓⲏ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲛⲁϯ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲛⲕⲁⲣⲡⲟⲥ ϩⲛ ⲛⲉⲩⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓϣ
42 Says to them Jesus; surely sometime you did read in the Scriptures: [The] stone which rejected those building, this has become the chief corner. From [the] Lord was this, and it is marvelous in [the] eyes of us?’
