< Mark 13 >
1 And when is going forth He out of the temple says to Him one of the disciples of Him; Teacher, behold what stones and what buildings!
anantaraM mandirAd bahirgamanakAle tasya shiShyANAmekastaM vyAhR^itavAn he guro pashyatu kIdR^ishAH pAShANAH kIdR^ik cha nichayanaM|
2 And Jesus (answering *k*) said to him; See you these great buildings? certainly not may be left (here *NO*) stone upon (stone *N(k)O*) which certainly not may be thrown down.
tadA yIshustam avadat tvaM kimetad bR^ihannichayanaM pashyasi? asyaikapAShANopi dvitIyapAShANopari na sthAsyati sarvve. adhaHkShepsyante|
3 And when is sitting He upon the Mount of Olives opposite the temple (he was asking *N(k)O*) Him in private Peter and James and John and Andrew;
atha yasmin kAle jaitungirau mandirasya sammukhe sa samupaviShTastasmin kAle pitaro yAkUb yohan Andriyashchaite taM rahasi paprachChuH,
4 do tell us: when these things will be And what [will be] the sign when may soon these things to be accomplished all
etA ghaTanAH kadA bhaviShyanti? tathaitatsarvvAsAM siddhyupakramasya vA kiM chihnaM? tadasmabhyaM kathayatu bhavAn|
5 And Jesus (answering *k*) began to say to them; do take heed lest anyone you may mislead.
tato yAshustAn vaktumArebhe, kopi yathA yuShmAn na bhrAmayati tathAtra yUyaM sAvadhAnA bhavata|
6 Many (for *ko*) will come in the name of Me saying that I myself am [He], and many they will mislead.
yataH khrIShTohamiti kathayitvA mama nAmnAneke samAgatya lokAnAM bhramaM janayiShyanti;
7 When then (you may hear of *NK(o)*) wars and rumors of wars, not do be disturbed; it must (for *ko*) come to pass, but not yet [is] the end.
kintu yUyaM raNasya vArttAM raNADambara ncha shrutvA mA vyAkulA bhavata, ghaTanA etA avashyammAvinyaH; kintvApAtato na yugAnto bhaviShyati|
8 Will rise up for nation against nation and kingdom against kingdom; (and *k*) There will be earthquakes throughout places; (and *ko*) there will be famines (and disturbance; *K*) ([The] beginning *N(K)O*) of birth pains [are] these.
deshasya vipakShatayA desho rAjyasya vipakShatayA cha rAjyamutthAsyati, tathA sthAne sthAne bhUmikampo durbhikShaM mahAkleshAshcha samupasthAsyanti, sarvva ete duHkhasyArambhAH|
9 do take heed however to yourselves; they will betray (for *ko*) you to courts and in synagogues you will be beaten and before governors and kings you will stand because of Me for a testimony to them.
kintu yUyam AtmArthe sAvadhAnAstiShThata, yato lokA rAjasabhAyAM yuShmAn samarpayiShyanti, tathA bhajanagR^ihe prahariShyanti; yUyaM madarthe deshAdhipAn bhUpAMshcha prati sAkShyadAnAya teShAM sammukhe upasthApayiShyadhve|
10 And to all the nations first it behooves to proclaim the gospel.
sheShIbhavanAt pUrvvaM sarvvAn deshIyAn prati susaMvAdaH prachArayiShyate|
11 (And *no*) when (now *k*) (they may lead away *N(k)O*) you delivering [you] up, not do be anxious beforehand what you may say (nor do devise; *K*) but whatever if shall be given to you in that [very] hour, that do speak; not for are you yourselves those speaking but the Spirit Holy.
kintu yadA te yuShmAn dhR^itvA samarpayiShyanti tadA yUyaM yadyad uttaraM dAsyatha, tadagra tasya vivechanaM mA kuruta tadarthaM ki nchidapi mA chintayata cha, tadAnIM yuShmAkaM manaHsu yadyad vAkyam upasthApayiShyate tadeva vadiShyatha, yato yUyaM na tadvaktAraH kintu pavitra AtmA tasya vaktA|
12 (And *no*) will deliver up (now *k*) brother brother to death and father child, and will rise up children against parents and will put to death them.
tadA bhrAtA bhrAtaraM pitA putraM ghAtanArthaM parahasteShu samarpayiShyate, tathA patyAni mAtApitro rvipakShatayA tau ghAtayiShyanti|
13 And you will be hated by all on account of the name of Me. the [one] however having endured to [the] end, he will be saved.
mama nAmahetoH sarvveShAM savidhe yUyaM jugupsitA bhaviShyatha, kintu yaH kashchit sheShaparyyantaM dhairyyam AlambiShyate saeva paritrAsyate|
14 When then you may see the abomination of the desolation (which having been spoken of by Daniel prophet *K*) (already standing *N(k)(o)*) where not it should — the [one] reading he should understand — then those in Judea they should flee to the mountains;
dAniyelbhaviShyadvAdinA proktaM sarvvanAshi jugupsita ncha vastu yadA tvayogyasthAne vidyamAnaM drakShatha (yo janaH paThati sa budhyatAM) tadA ye yihUdIyadeshe tiShThanti te mahIdhraM prati palAyantAM;
15 the [one] and upon the housetop not he should come down (into house *KO*) nor should go in to take anything out of the house of him;
tathA yo naro gR^ihopari tiShThati sa gR^ihamadhyaM nAvarohatu, tathA kimapi vastu grahItuM madhyegR^ihaM na pravishatu;
16 and the [one] in the field (being *k*) not he should return to the [things] back to take the clothing of him.
tathA cha yo naraH kShetre tiShThati sopi svavastraM grahItuM parAvR^itya na vrajatu|
17 Woe then to those in womb [pregnancy] having and to the [ones] nursing infants in those days!
tadAnIM garbbhavatInAM stanyadAtrINA ncha yoShitAM durgati rbhaviShyati|
18 do pray then that it not may happen (the flight of you *K*) in winter.
yuShmAkaM palAyanaM shItakAle yathA na bhavati tadarthaM prArthayadhvaM|
19 will be [in] for the days those tribulation such as never has been [the] like from [the] beginning of creation (which *N(k)O*) created God until now — and certainly not may happen.
yatastadA yAdR^ishI durghaTanA ghaTiShyate tAdR^ishI durghaTanA IshvarasR^iShTeH prathamamArabhyAdya yAvat kadApi na jAtA na janiShyate cha|
20 And only unless shortened [the] Lord the days, not then would there have been saved any flesh; but on account of the elect whom He chose He has shortened the days.
apara ncha parameshvaro yadi tasya samayasya saMkShepaM na karoti tarhi kasyApi prANabhR^ito rakShA bhavituM na shakShyati, kintu yAn janAn manonItAn akarot teShAM svamanonItAnAM hetoH sa tadanehasaM saMkShepsyati|
21 And then if anyone to you shall say; (behold *N(k)O*) here [is] the Christ (or *KO*) (behold *N(k)O*) there! not (you do believe [it]. *N(k)O*)
anyachcha pashyata khrIShTotra sthAne vA tatra sthAne vidyate, tasminkAle yadi kashchid yuShmAn etAdR^ishaM vAkyaM vyAharati, tarhi tasmin vAkye bhaiva vishvasita|
22 There will arise for false Christs and false prophets and will give signs and wonders so as to deceive if possible (and *ko*) the elect.
yatoneke mithyAkhrIShTA mithyAbhaviShyadvAdinashcha samupasthAya bahUni chihnAnyadbhutAni karmmANi cha darshayiShyanti; tathA yadi sambhavati tarhi manonItalokAnAmapi mithyAmatiM janayiShyanti|
23 You yourselves however do take heed; (behold *K*) I have foretold to you all things.
pashyata ghaTanAtaH pUrvvaM sarvvakAryyasya vArttAM yuShmabhyamadAm, yUyaM sAvadhAnAstiShThata|
24 But in those days after the tribulation those The sun will be darkened, and the moon not will give the light of it,
apara ncha tasya kleshakAlasyAvyavahite parakAle bhAskaraH sAndhakAro bhaviShyati tathaiva chandrashchandrikAM na dAsyati|
25 and the stars will be out of the heaven (falling, *N(k)O*) and the powers that [are] in the heavens will be shaken.’
nabhaHsthAni nakShatrANi patiShyanti, vyomamaNDalasthA grahAshcha vichaliShyanti|
26 And then will they behold the Son of Man coming in [the] clouds with power great and glory.
tadAnIM mahAparAkrameNa mahaishvaryyeNa cha meghamAruhya samAyAntaM mAnavasutaM mAnavAH samIkShiShyante|
27 And then He will send the angels (of him *K*) and will gather together the elect of Him from the four winds from [the] end of earth until [the] end of heaven.
anyachcha sa nijadUtAn prahitya nabhobhUmyoH sImAM yAvad jagatashchaturdigbhyaH svamanonItalokAn saMgrahIShyati|
28 Of now the fig tree do learn the parable: When already the branch of it tender may become, and may it put forth the leaves, you know that near the summer is.
uDumbarataro rdR^iShTAntaM shikShadhvaM yadoDumbarasya taro rnavInAH shAkhA jAyante pallavAdIni cha rnigachChanti, tadA nidAghakAlaH savidho bhavatIti yUyaM j nAtuM shaknutha|
29 So also you yourselves, when you may see these things coming to pass, do know that near He is at [the] doors.
tadvad etA ghaTanA dR^iShTvA sa kAlo dvAryyupasthita iti jAnIta|
30 Amen I say to you that certainly not may have passed away generation this until when these things all may happen.
yuShmAnahaM yathArthaM vadAmi, AdhunikalokAnAM gamanAt pUrvvaM tAni sarvvANi ghaTiShyante|
31 The heaven and the earth (will pass away, *NK(o)*) but the words of Mine certainly not (will pass away. *N(k)O*)
dyAvApR^ithivyo rvichalitayoH satyo rmadIyA vANI na vichaliShyati|
32 Concerning now the day that (or *N(k)O*) the hour no [one] knows not even the angels (*k*) in heaven nor the Son only except the Father.
apara ncha svargasthadUtagaNo vA putro vA tAtAdanyaH kopi taM divasaM taM daNDaM vA na j nApayati|
33 do take heed, do watch (and do pray; *KO*) not you know for when the time is.
ataH sa samayaH kadA bhaviShyati, etajj nAnAbhAvAd yUyaM sAvadhAnAstiShThata, satarkAshcha bhUtvA prArthayadhvaM;
34 [It is] like a man going on a journey having left the house of him and having given to the servants of him authority, (and *k*) to each one the work of him, And the doorkeeper he commanded that he may keep watch.
yadvat kashchit pumAn svaniveshanAd dUradeshaM prati yAtrAkaraNakAle dAseShu svakAryyasya bhAramarpayitvA sarvvAn sve sve karmmaNi niyojayati; aparaM dauvArikaM jAgarituM samAdishya yAti, tadvan naraputraH|
35 do watch therefore; not you know for when the master of the house comes (or *no*) at evening or (at midnight *N(k)O*) or when the rooster crows or morning;
gR^ihapatiH sAyaMkAle nishIthe vA tR^itIyayAme vA prAtaHkAle vA kadAgamiShyati tad yUyaM na jAnItha;
36 lest having come suddenly he may find you sleeping.
sa haThAdAgatya yathA yuShmAn nidritAn na pashyati, tadarthaM jAgaritAstiShThata|
37 (What [thing] *N(k)O*) now to you I say, to all I say: do watch.
yuShmAnahaM yad vadAmi tadeva sarvvAn vadAmi, jAgaritAstiShThateti|
