Luke 4
1 Jesus then full of [the] Spirit Holy returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit (into the wilderness *N(k)O*)
Toen verliet Jesus, vervuld van den Heiligen Geest, de Jordaan, en werd door den Geest naar de woestijn gevoerd,
2 days forty being tempted by the devil. And not He ate no [thing] in the days those, and when were ending they (afterward *K*) He was hungry.
veertig dagen lang; en Hij werd door den duivel bekoord. In al die dagen at Hij niets; en toen ze ten einde waren, kreeg Hij honger.
3 (and *k*) Said (then *no*) to Him the devil; If [the] Son You are of God, do speak to the stone this that it may become bread.
Nu sprak de duivel tot hem: Indien Gij Gods Zoon zijt, zeg tot die steen, dat hij brood moet worden.
4 And answered to him (*no*) Jesus (saying: *k*) It has been written that Not on bread alone will live the man’ (but upon everything declaration of God. *KO*)
Jesus antwoordde hem: Er staat geschreven: "De mens zal niet leven van brood alleen".
5 And having led up Him (*k*) (devil into mountain high *K*) he showed to Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time
Daarna voerde hij Hem naar een hoger punt, en toonde Hem in een enkel ogenblik al de koninkrijken der wereld.
6 And said to Him the devil; To You will I give authority this all and the glory of it, for to me myself it has been delivered and to whom (maybe *NK(o)*) I shall wish I give it;
En de duivel zeide Hem: Ik zal U al die macht en de heerlijkheid daarvan geven; want mij zijn ze geschonken, en ik geef ze, wien ik wil.
7 You yourself therefore if You shall worship before (me *N(k)O*) will be Yours (everything. *N(k)O*)
Wanneer Gij mij aanbidt, zal dit alles het uwe zijn.
8 And answering Jesus said to him (do go *KO*) (behind me Satan; *K*) It has been written: (for *k*) [The] Lord the God of you you will worship and Him only you will serve.’
Jesus antwoordde hem: Er staat geschreven: "Ge zult den Heer uw God aanbidden, en Hem alleen dienen".
9 (and *k*) He led (also *no*) Him to Jerusalem and set (him *ko*) upon the pinnacle of the temple and said to Him; If (the *k*) Son You are of God, do cast Yourself from here down;
Nu voerde hij Hem naar Jerusalem en plaatste Hem op het dakterras van de tempel. En hij zei Hem: Indien Gij Gods Zoon zijt, werp U dan van hier naar beneden.
10 It has been written for that To the angels of Him He will give orders concerning You to guard You;
Want er staat geschreven: Zijn engelen zal Hij over U bevelen, om U te behoeden;
11 and that in [their] hands will they bear You, otherwise otherwise You may strike against a stone the foot of You.’
en ze zullen U op de handen dragen, opdat Gij aan geen steen uw voet zoudt stoten.
12 And answering He said to him Jesus that It has been said; Not you will test [the] Lord the God of you.’
Jesus antwoordde hem: Er is gezegd: "Ge zult den Heer uw God niet beproeven".
13 And having finished every temptation the devil departed from Him until an opportune time.
Nadat de duivel al zijn bekoringen had uitgeput, verliet hij Hem voor een tijd.
14 And returned Jesus in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a report went out into all the surrounding region concerning Him.
Toen keerde Jesus in de kracht van den Geest naar Galilea terug. En zijn faam drong heel de omtrek door.
15 And He himself was teaching in the synagogues of them being glorified by all.
Hij gaf onderricht in hun synagogen, en werd door allen geëerd.
16 And He came to (*k*) Nazareth where He was raised, and He entered according to the being customary to Him on the day of the Sabbaths into the synagogue and stood up to read.
Zo kwam Hij ook te Názaret, waar Hij was groot gebracht, en ging naar gewoonte op de sabbat naar de synagoge. Toen Hij opstond, om de voorlezing te houden,
17 And there was given to Him [the] scroll of the prophet Isaiah; and (having unrolled *NK(o)*) the scroll He found the place where it was written
reikte men Hem het boek van den profeet Isaias over. Hij rolde het boek open, en trof de plaats, waar geschreven staat:
18 [The] Spirit of [the] Lord [is] upon Me myself, of which because He has anointed Me (to evangelise *N(k)O*) to [the] poor, He has sent Me (to heal the bruised heart *K*) to proclaim to [the] captives deliverance and to [the] blind recovery of sight, to send forth [the] oppressed in deliverance,
De Geest des Heren rust op Mij; Want Hij heeft Mij gezalfd, Om aan armen de blijde boodschap te brengen.
19 to proclaim [the] year of [the] Lord’s favor.
Hij heeft Mij gezonden, Om aan gevangenen verlossing, Aan blinden genezing te verkondigen; Om verdrukten in vrijheid te stellen, Om aan te kondigen het genadejaar van den Heer.
20 And having rolled up the scroll having delivered [it] to the attendant He sat down, and of all the eyes in the synagogue were fixed upon Him.
Toen rolde Hij het boek dicht, gaf het aan den beambte terug, en zette Zich neer. Aller ogen waren in de synagoge op Hem gevestigd.
21 He began then to say to them that Today has been fulfilled Scripture this in the hearing of you.
Nu ving Hij aan, en sprak tot hen: Heden is het Schriftwoord, dat gij gehoord hebt, vervuld.
22 And all were bearing witness to Him and they were marveling at the words of the grace which are proceeding out of the mouth of Him and they were saying; (surely *N(k)O*) [the] son is (*ko*) of Joseph this?
Allen betuigden Hem bijval, en stonden verbaasd over de lieflijke woorden, die er vloeiden uit zijn mond. En ze zeiden: Is dit niet de zoon van Josef?
23 And He said to them; Surely you will say to Me proverb this; Physician do heal yourself! As much as we have heard has been done (in *N(k)O*) (*NK(o)*) Capernaum, do perform also here in the hometown of You.
Hij sprak tot hen: Gij zult Mij zeker dit spreekwoord doen horen: Geneesheer, genees uzelf. Doe ook hier in uw vaderstad, wat, naar we vernamen, in Kafárnaum is geschied.
24 He said then; Amen I say to you that no prophet acceptable is in the hometown of him.
Hij ging voort: Voorwaar, Ik zeg u: geen profeet wordt in zijn eigen geboortestad erkend.
25 In truth now I say to you; many widows there were in the days of Elijah in Israel when was shut up the heaven for years three and months six, when there was a famine great upon all the land;
Voorwaar, Ik zeg u: Er waren veel weduwen in Israël in de dagen van Elias, toen de hemel drie jaar en zes maanden gesloten bleef, zodat er over heel het land grote hongersnood heerste;
26 and to none of them was sent Elijah only except to Zarephath (of Sidon *N(k)O*) to a woman a widow.
en toch, tot niemand van haar werd Elias gezonden. maar wel tot een weduwe te Sarepta van Sidónië.
27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed only except Naaman the Syrian.
Ook waren er veel melaatsen in Israël in de tijd van den profeet Eliseüs; en toch, niemand van hen werd gereinigd, maar wel Naämán, de Syriër.
28 And were filled all with anger in the synagogue hearing these things;
Toen ze dit hoorden, werden allen in de synagoge woedend;
29 and having risen up they cast Him out of the city and led Him unto (the *k*) brow of the hill upon which the town had been built of them (in order *N(k)O*) to throw over him.
ze sprongen op, wierpen Hem de stad uit, voerden Hem naar de rand van de berg, waarop hun stad was gebouwd, om Hem naar beneden te storten.
30 He himself however having passed through [the] midst of them was going away.
Maar Hij ging midden door hen heen, en vertrok.
31 And He went down to Capernaum a city of Galilee And He was teaching them on the Sabbaths.
Nu daalde Hij naar Kafárnaum af, een stad van Galilea, en trad op sabbat als leraar voor hen op.
32 and they were astonished at the teaching of Him for with authority was the message of Him.
Men stond verbaasd over zijn leer; want Hij sprak met gezag.
33 And in the synagogue was a man having a spirit of a demon unclean, and he cried out in a voice loud;
Eens was er in de synagoge een man, met een onreinen, duivelsen geest. Hij riep met luider stem:
34 (saying *ko*) Ha! What to us and to You, Jesus of Nazareth? Are You come to destroy us? I know You who are, the Holy [One] of God.
Wel, wat hebt Gij met ons te maken, Jesus van Názaret? Zijt Gij gekomen, om ons in het verderf te storten? Ik weet, wie Gij zijt: de Heilige Gods.
35 And rebuked him Jesus saying; do be silent and do come forth (out of *N(k)O*) him! And having thrown him the demon into the midst it came out from him in nothing having hurt him.
Maar Jesus gebood hem: Zwijg, en ga van hem uit. De geest slingerde hem tussen de omstanders in, en ging van hem uit, zonder hem enig letsel te doen.
36 And came astonishment upon all, and they were speaking to one another saying; What word [is] this for with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out?
Allen waren verbaasd, en zeiden tot elkander: Wat mag dat toch zijn? Want met gezag en macht gebiedt Hij de onreine geesten, en ze gaan uit.
37 And was spreading [the] report concerning Him into every place of the surrounding region.
En zijn faam ging overal in de omtrek rond.
38 Having risen up then (out of *N(k)O*) the synagogue He entered into the house of Simon. (The *k*) mother-in-law then of Simon was oppressed with a fever great, and they appealed to Him for her.
Toen Hij de synagoge had verlaten, begaf Hij Zich naar het huis van Simon. De schoonmoeder van Simon lag ziek aan zware koorts; en men vroeg Hem haar te helpen.
39 And having stood over her He rebuked the fever, and it left her; immediately then having arisen she was serving them.
Hij boog Zich over haar heen, gebood de koorts, en deze verliet haar. Onmiddellijk stond ze op, en bediende Hem.
40 When is setting now the sun (all *N(k)O*) as many as had [any] ailing with diseases various brought them to Him; and on one each of them the hands (having laid He was healing *N(k)O*) them.
Na zonsondergang brachten allen hun zieken, aan welke kwaal ze ook leden, naar Hem toe; Hij legde hun één voor één de handen op, en genas ze.
41 Were going out now also demons from many (shouting out *N(k)O*) and saying that You yourself are (Christ *K*) the Son of God. And rebuking [them] not was He allowing them to speak because they knew the Christ Him to be.
Ook gingen van velen de boze geesten uit, terwijl ze riepen: Gij zijt de Zoon van God. Maar ten strengste verbood Hij hun te spreken, omdat ze wisten, dat Hij de Christus was.
42 When was arriving now daybreak having gone out He went into a solitary place, and the crowds (were sought after *N(k)O*) Him and they came up to Him and were detaining Him of the not to go from them.
Toen het dag was geworden, ging Hij heen, en begaf Hij Zich naar een eenzame plaats. De scharen zochten naar Hem; en toen ze Hem hadden bereikt, trachtten ze Hem te beletten, van hen heen te gaan.
43 But He said to them that Also to the other towns to evangelise Me it behooves of the kingdom of God, because (for *N(k)O*) this (have I been sent forth. *N(k)O*)
Maar Hij zeide hun: Ook aan andere steden moet Ik de blijde boodschap van het koninkrijk Gods gaan verkondigen; want daartoe ben Ik gezonden.
44 And He was preaching (in the synagogues *N(k)O*) (of Judea. *N(K)O*)
En Hij preekte in de synagogen van Judea.
