< Luke 18 >

1 He was speaking then (and *ko*) a parable to them about it needing always to pray (they *no*) and not to lose heart
ⲁ̅ⲁϥϫⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ϫⲉ ϣϣⲉ ⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲟⲩⲟⲓϣ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧⲙⲉⲅⲕⲁⲕⲓ
2 saying; A judge certain there was in a certain city God not fearing and man not respecting.
ⲃ̅ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲕⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲛϥⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲁⲛ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲛϥϣⲓⲡⲉ ⲁⲛ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲣⲣⲱⲙⲉ
3 A widow then there was in the city that and she was coming to him saying; do avenge me of the adversary of mine.
ⲅ̅ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲭⲏⲣⲁ ⲇⲉ ϩⲛ ⲧⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲧⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲉⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲣⲓ ⲡⲁϩⲁⲡ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲧϫⲓ ϩⲁⲡ ⲟⲩⲃⲏⲉⲓ
4 And not (he was desiring [to do] *N(k)O*) for a time. afterward however he said within himself; If even God not I fear (nor *N(k)O*) man respect,
ⲇ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡϥⲟⲩⲱϣ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲟϭ ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲓϣ ⲙⲛⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧϥ ϫⲉ ⲉϣϫⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛϯⲣ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲁⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϯϣⲓⲡⲉ ⲁⲛ ϩⲏⲧϥ ⲣⲣⲱⲙⲉ
5 because yet it occasioning me trouble widow this I will avenge her, so that not to end coming she may exhaust me.
ⲉ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲧⲉⲓⲭⲏⲣⲁ ⲟⲩⲉϩ ϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ϯⲛⲁⲣ ⲡⲉⲥϩⲁⲡ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϣⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲥϯ ϩⲓⲥⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ
6 Said then the Lord; do hear what the judge unrighteous says;
ⲋ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ⲛⲧⲁⲡⲉⲕⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲧⲁⲇⲓⲕⲓⲁ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ
7 And God certainly not (may do *N(k)O*) the avenging of the elect of Him the [ones] crying out (to *k*) (to Him *N(k)O*) day and night, and (be patient *N(k)O*) in regard to them?
ⲍ̅ⲉⲓⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁⲣ ⲡϩⲁⲡ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲥⲱⲧⲡ ⲉⲧⲱϣ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉⲩϣⲏ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥϩⲣⲟϣ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ
8 I say to you that He will carry out the avenging of them with speed. Nevertheless the Son of Man having come surely not will He find faith on the earth?
ⲏ̅ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ϥⲛⲁⲣ ⲡⲉⲩϩⲁⲡ ϩⲛ ⲟⲩϭⲉⲡⲏ ⲡⲗⲏⲛ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲏⲩ ⲛϥϩⲉ ⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ϩⲓϫⲙ ⲡⲕⲁϩ
9 He spoke now also to some having trusted in themselves that they are righteous and (despising *NK(o)*) the others parable this.
ⲑ̅ⲁϥϫⲱ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲟⲗⲏ ⲉϩⲟⲓⲛⲉ ⲉⲩⲕⲱ ⲛϩⲧⲏⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲁⲁⲧⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ϩⲉⲛⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲩⲥⲱϣϥ ⲙⲡⲕⲉⲥⲉⲉⲡⲉ
10 Men two went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
ⲓ̅ϫⲉ ⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ ⲉϣⲗⲏⲗ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ
11 The Pharisee having stood toward himself these things was praying; O God, I thank You that not I am (like *NK(o)*) the rest of the men — swindlers, unrighteous, adulterers — or even like this tax collector.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲡⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲁϥϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉϥϣⲗⲏⲗ ϫⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϯϣⲡϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲧⲕ ϫⲉ ⲛϯⲟ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲙⲡⲕⲉⲥⲉⲉⲡⲉ ⲛⲣⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲣⲣⲉϥⲧⲱⲣⲡ ⲣⲣⲉϥϫⲓ ⲛϭⲟⲛⲥ ⲛⲛⲟⲓⲕ ⲏ ⲛⲑⲉ ⲙⲡⲓⲕⲉⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ
12 I fast twice in the week, I tithe all things as much as I gain.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ϯⲛⲏⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲛⲥⲟⲡ ⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ϯϯ ⲙⲡⲣⲉⲙⲏⲧ ⲛⲛⲉϯϫⲡⲟ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ
13 (and *ko*) (but *no*) the tax collector afar off having stood not was willing not even the eyes to lift up to heaven but was striking (into *k*) the breast (of him *NK(o)*) saying: O God, do be merciful to me to the sinner!
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲁⲡⲕⲉⲧⲉⲗⲱⲛⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲉ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲡϥⲟⲩⲉϣ ϥⲓⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲧⲡⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁϥϩⲓⲟⲩⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϩⲛ ⲧⲉϥⲙⲉⲥⲑⲏⲧ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲕⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲓⲣⲉϥⲣⲛⲟⲃⲉ
14 I say to you; went down this one justified to the house of him (rather than *k*) (compared with *n(o)*) (that [one]. *N(k)O*) For everyone who is exalting himself will be humbled, the [one] however humbling himself will be exalted.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁⲡⲁⲓ ⲉⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲉⲡⲉϥⲏⲓ ⲉϥⲧⲙⲁⲓⲏⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲉ ⲡⲏ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲧϫⲓⲥⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲑⲃⲃⲓⲟϥ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲑⲃⲃⲉⲓⲟ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϫⲁⲥⲧϥ
15 They were bringing then to Him also the infants that them He may touch; having seen however the disciples (were rebuking *N(k)O*) them.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲩⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϩⲉⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ϣⲏⲙ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉϫⲱϩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲉⲡⲓⲧⲓⲙⲁ ⲛⲁⲩ
16 But Jesus (called *N(k)O*) them (speaking; *N(k)O*) do permit the little children to come to Me and not do forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲁⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲁ ⲛϣⲏⲣⲉ ϣⲏⲙ ⲛⲥⲉⲉⲓ ⲉⲣⲁⲧ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲣⲕⲱⲗⲩ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲧⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲧⲉⲓⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲧⲉ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
17 Amen I say to you; who[ever] (maybe *N(k)O*) not shall receive the kingdom of God as a child, certainly not shall enter into it.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲉ ⲛϥⲛⲁϣⲉⲡ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲛ ϩⲱⲥ ϣⲏⲣⲉ ϣⲏⲙ ⲛⲛⲉϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ
18 And asked a certain Him ruler saying; Teacher good, what having done life eternal will I inherit? (aiōnios g166)
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲁⲩⲁⲣⲭⲱⲛ ⲇⲉ ϫⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲥⲁϩ ⲛⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ ⲉⲓⲛⲁⲣ ⲟⲩ ⲧⲁⲕⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓ ⲙⲡⲱⲛϩ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ (aiōnios g166)
19 Said then to him Jesus; Why Me you call good? No [one is] good only except one God.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲁϩⲣⲟⲕ ⲕⲙⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲃⲏⲓ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ ⲙⲙⲛ ⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ ⲛⲥⲁ ⲟⲩⲁ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ
20 The commandments You know: Not shall you commit adultery, not shall you murder, not shall you steal, not shall you bear false witness, do honor the father of you and the mother (of you. *k*)
ⲕ̅ⲕⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲛⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲙⲡⲣⲣⲛⲟⲓⲕ ⲙⲡⲣϩⲱⲧⲃ ⲙⲡⲣϩⲱϥⲧ ⲙⲡⲣⲣⲙⲛⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲛⲟⲩϫ ⲙⲁⲧⲁⲓⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲓⲱⲧ ⲙⲛ ⲧⲉⲕⲙⲁⲁⲩ
21 And he said; These all (I kept *N(k)O*) from [the] youth (of mine. *ko*)
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲁⲓϩⲁⲣⲉϩ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ϫⲓⲛ ⲧⲁⲙⲛⲧⲕⲟⲩⲓ
22 Having heard then (these things *k*) Jesus said to him; Yet one thing to you is lacking: All as much as you have do sell and do distribute to [the] poor, and you will have treasure in (the *no*) (heavens; *N(k)O*) and come, do follow Me.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲁⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲉⲩⲁ ⲡⲉⲧⲕϣⲁⲁⲧ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϯⲛⲅⲕⲁ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲧⲛⲧⲁⲕ ⲛⲅⲧⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲛϩⲏⲕⲉ ⲛⲅⲕⲱ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛⲟⲩⲁϩⲟ ϩⲛ ⲙⲡⲏⲩⲉ ⲛⲅⲉⲓ ⲛⲅⲟⲩⲁϩⲕ ⲛⲥⲱⲓ
23 And having heard these things very sorrowful (he became; *N(k)O*) he was for rich extremely.
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲥⲉⲧⲙ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲁϥⲗⲩⲡⲓ ⲛⲉⲩⲣⲙⲙⲁⲟ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ
24 Having seen then him Jesus sorrowful became saying; How difficult [for] those riches having [when] into the kingdom of God (they enter. *N(k)O*)
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲁⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲑⲉ ⲉⲧⲥⲙⲟⲕϩ ⲉⲧⲣⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲩⲛⲧⲟⲩⲭⲣⲏⲙⲁ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
25 Easier for it is a camel through (an eye of a needle *N(k)O*) to go than a rich man into the kingdom of God to enter.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲥⲙⲟⲧⲛ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲣⲉ ⲟⲩϭⲁⲙⲟⲩⲗ ⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲧⲟⲩⲁⲧϥⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲁⲙ ⲛⲧⲱⲡ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲉ ⲟⲩⲣⲙⲙⲁⲟ ⲛϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
26 Said then those having heard; Then who is able to be saved?
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲛⲉⲧⲥⲱⲧⲙ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲱⲛϩ
27 But He said; The [things] impossible with men possible with God are.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲧϭⲟⲙ ⲛⲛⲁϩⲣⲛ ⲣⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲟⲩⲛ ϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲁϩⲣⲙ ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
28 Said then Peter; Behold we ourselves (having abandoned *N(k)O*) (*no*) ([our] own [things] *N(k)O*) (and *k*) followed You.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛϭⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲁⲛⲕⲱ ⲛⲥⲱⲛ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲩⲁϩⲛ ⲛⲥⲱⲕ
29 And He said to them; Amen I say to you that no [one] there is who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God,
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ϩⲁⲙⲏⲛ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ ϫⲉ ⲙⲙⲛ ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲉⲁϥⲕⲁ ϩⲓ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲏ ⲥϩⲓⲙⲉ ⲏ ⲥⲟⲛ ⲏ ⲛⲉϥⲓⲟⲧⲉ ⲏ ⲛⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉ ⲧⲙⲛⲧⲣⲣⲟ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ
30 who (certainly *N(k)O*) nothing (may receive back *NK(o)*) manifold more in time this — and in the age which is coming life eternal. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
ⲗ̅ⲉⲛϥⲛⲁϫⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲥⲁϣϥ ⲛⲕⲱⲃ ϩⲙ ⲡⲉⲓⲟⲩⲟⲓϣ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ϩⲙ ⲡⲁⲓⲱⲛ ⲉⲧⲛⲏⲟⲩ (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
31 Having taken aside then the Twelve He said to them; Behold we go up to (Jerusalem, *N(k)O*) and will be accomplished all things which written through the prophets about the Son of Man;
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲁϥϫⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲙⲧⲥⲛⲟⲟⲩⲥ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲥ ϩⲏⲏⲧⲉ ϯⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲥⲟⲗⲩⲙⲁ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲥⲏϩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϩⲓⲧⲛ ⲛⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ
32 He will be betrayed for to the Gentiles and will be mocked and will be insulted and will be spit upon,
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛϩⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲉⲥⲱⲃⲉ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲥⲉⲥⲟϣϥ ⲛⲥⲉⲛⲉϫ ⲡⲁϭⲥⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϩⲣⲁϥ
33 And having flogged [Him] they will kill Him, and on the day third He will rise again.
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲛⲥⲉⲙⲁⲥⲧⲓⲅⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲛⲥⲉⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧϥ ⲛϥⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ϩⲙ ⲡⲙⲉϩ ϣⲟⲙⲛⲧ ⲛϩⲟⲟⲩ
34 And they themselves no [thing] of these things understood, and was declaration this hidden from them, and neither they were knowing the [things] being spoken.
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲓϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲏⲡ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩⲥⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲉⲧϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲟⲩ
35 It came to pass then in the drawing near by Him to Jericho a blind [man] certain was sitting beside the road (begging. *N(k)O*)
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲇⲉ ϩⲙ ⲡⲧⲣⲉϥϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϩⲓⲉⲣⲓⲭⲱ ⲛⲉⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲃⲗⲗⲉ ⲡⲉ ϩⲙ ⲟⲟⲥ ϩⲁⲧⲛ ⲧⲉϩⲓⲏ ⲉϥⲧⲱⲃⲁϩ
36 Having heard now a crowd passing along he was asking what (maybe *o*) would be this.
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲁϥϣⲓⲛⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲟⲟⲡ
37 They told then to him that Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲙⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡⲛⲁⲍⲱⲣⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁⲡⲁⲣⲁⲅⲉ
38 And he called out saying; Jesus Son of David, do have mercy on me.
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲁϥϫⲓ ϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲡϣⲡⲣⲉ ⲛⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ⲛⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ
39 And those going before were rebuking him that (he may be silent. *N(k)O*) He himself however much more was crying out; Son of David, do have mercy on me.
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲁⲛⲉⲧⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲑⲏ ⲉⲡⲓⲧⲓⲙⲁ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲉⲕⲁ ⲣⲱϥ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲁϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲉ ⲛⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ⲛⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ
40 Having stopped then Jesus commanded him to be brought to Him. When was approaching then he He asked him;
ⲙ̅ⲓⲏⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲁϥⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲉϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲩⲛⲧϥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϩⲱⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲁϥϫⲛⲟⲩϥ
41 (saying *ko*) What to you desire you I may do? And he said; Lord, that I may receive sight.
ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲕⲟⲩⲉϣ ⲧⲣⲁⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲡϫⲟⲉⲓⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲓⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
42 And Jesus said to him; do receive sight: The faith of you has healed you.
ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲓⲏⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲉⲕⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ⲧⲉⲛⲧⲁⲥⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲕ
43 And immediately he received sight and was following Him glorifying God. And all the people having seen [it] gave praise to God.
