< Luke 11 >

1 And it came to pass while being He in a place certain praying, when He ceased, said one of the disciples of Him to Him; Lord, do teach us to pray even as also John taught the disciples of him.
Mme ya re ka nako nngwe fa Jesu a ile go rapela, mongwe wa barutwa ba gagwe a tla mo go ene fa a fetsa a re, “Morena re rute thapelo jaaka Johane a rutile barutwa ba gagwe.”
2 He said then to them; When you may pray, do say: Father (of us in to the heavens *K*) should be hallowed the name of You; should come the kingdom of You (should be [done] *KO*) (the will of you as in heaven and upon earth; *K*)
3 The bread of us daily do give us each day;
Re fe dijo letsatsi le letsatsi.
4 And do forgive us the sins of us; also for ourselves we forgive to everyone indebted to us; and may you not lead us into temptation (but do deliver us from evil. *K*)
Mme o re itshwarele melato ya rona gonne re itshwaretse ba ba neng ba re leofetse. Mme o se re letle go raelesega.”
5 And He said to them; Who among you will have a friend, and will go to him at midnight and say to him; Friend, do lend me three loaves,
6 since a friend of mine is come off a journey to me, and nothing I have what I will set before him;
7 And he And he from within answering may say; Not me trouble do cause. already the door has been shut, and the children of mine with me in the bed are; not I am able having risen up to give to you.
Ga ke ka ke ka go thusa ka nako e!’
8 I say to you; if even not he will give to him having risen up because of being friend of him because of yet the persistence of him having risen he will give to him (as many as *NK(o)*) he needs.
“Mme ke tlaa go bolelela se, le fa a sa go direla jaaka tsala, fa o tswelela o kokota o tlaa tsoga a go neye sengwe le sengwe se o se batlang ka ntlha ya bobelotelele jwa gago.
9 And I myself And I myself to you say; do ask and it will be given to you; do seek and you will find; do knock and it will be opened to you.
Mme go ntse fela jalo mo thapelong, tswelelang lo lope lo tlaa newa, batlang lo tlaa bona, kokotang lo tlaa bulelwa.
10 Everyone for the [one] asking receives, and the [one] seeking finds, and to the [one] knocking it will be opened.
Mongwe le mongwe yo o kopang o tlaa amogela; botlhe ba ba batlang, ba a bona; mme go bulelwa mongwe le mongwe yo o kokotang.
11 Which now (of *no*) you who [is] a father will ask for the son (bread surely not stone will he give to him *KO*) (if *K(o)*) a fish, and (surely not *ko*) instead of a fish a serpent to him will he give
“Mme lona bo rra-bana, fa ngwana wa gago wa mosimane a go kopa senkgwe, a o ka mo naya lentswe? Fa a kopa tlhapi a o ka mo naya noga?
12 Or also (if *K*) (he will ask for *NK(O)*) an egg, (surely not *ko*) will he give to him a scorpion?
Fa a kopa lee, a o ka mo naya phepheng? [Nnyaa!]
13 If therefore you yourselves evil being you know gifts good to give to the children of you, how much more the Father who [is] in heaven will give [the] Spirit Holy to those asking Him!
“Mme fa baleofi jaaka lona ba naya bana se ba se tlhokang, a ga lo lemoge gore Rraeno yo o kwa legodimong o tlaa dira mo go tona, a neela Mowa O O Boitshepo ba ba o kopang?”
14 And He was casting out a demon and it was mute. it came to pass then from the demon having gone out spoke the mute And marveled the crowds.
Mme bontsintsi jwa batho jwa itumela thata ba nna matlhagatlhaga,
15 Some then of them said; By Beelzebul (the *no*) prince of the demons He casts out the demons.
mme bangwe ba re, “Ga go hakgamatse fa a kgoromeletsa mewa e e maswe ntle. O tsaya nonofo ya gagwe mo go Satane, Kgosi ya mewa e e maswe!”
16 Others now testing a sign from heaven were seeking from Him.
Bangwe ba kopa gore a dire sesupo sengwe mo loaping go supa go ipitsa ga gagwe a re ke Mesia.
17 He himself now knowing their thoughts said to them; Every kingdom against itself having been divided is brought to desolation, and a house against a house falls.
18 If now even Satan against himself is divided, how will stand the kingdom of him? For you say by Beelzebul [am] casting out I the demons.
19 If now I myself by Beelzebul cast out the demons, the sons of you by whom do they cast out? On account of this they themselves of you judges will be.
Mme fa ke newa nonofo ke Satane, balatedi ba lona bone? Gonne ba kgoromeletsa mewa e e maswe ntle! A lo gopola gore mo go supa gore ba tsenywe ke Satane?
20 If however by [the] finger of God (I myself *no*) cast out the demons, then has come upon you the kingdom of God.
Mme fa ke kgoromeletsa ntle mewa e e maswe ka ntlha ya nonofo e e tswang mo Modimong, go supa gore Bogosi jwa Modimo bo tsile.
21 When the strong [man] having armed himself may guard the his own house, in peace are the possessions of him;
“Gonne fa Satane a le thata a bile a tshotse dibolao, a tlhokomela ntlo ya gagwe ya segosi, e bolokesegile.
22 when however (*k*) [one] stronger than he having come upon [him] he may overcome him, the complete armor of him he takes away in which he had trusted, and the plunder of him he divides.
Go fitlhelela mongwe yo o nonofileng a bile a tshotse dibolao tse di botoka a tla a mo fenya a bo a gapa dibolao tsa gagwe le dilwana tsa gagwe.
23 The [one] not being with Me against Me is, and the [one] not gathering with Me scatters.
“Mongwe le mongwe yo e seng wa me o kgatlhanong le nna; fa a sa nthuse, o a ntlhokofatsa.
24 When the unclean spirit is gone out from the man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest. and not finding [any] (then *NO*) it says; I will return to the house of mine from where I came out.
“E ya re fa mowa o o maswe o dule mo mothong o ye kwa dikakeng o batla boikhutso; mme e re o sa bo bone o boele kwa go yo o neng o tswa mo go ene,
25 And having come it finds [it] (being unoccupied *O*) swept and ordered.
26 Then it goes and it takes other spirits more evil than itself seven, and (having entered *NK(o)*) they dwell there; and becomes the last of the man that [one] worse than the first.
Hong ‘o’ tsamaye, ‘o’ ye go tlisa mewa e mengwe e e maswe e le supa e e bosula go na le one, mme yotlhe e tsene mo mothung yoo. Hong motho wa mogolo a bife go gaisa jaaka a ne a ntse pele.”
27 It came to pass then while [is] saying He these things, having lifted up one [her] voice a woman from the crowd said to Him; Blessed [is] the womb which having borne You, and [the] breasts at which You nursed.
28 He himself then said; No rather blessed [are] those hearing the word of God and keeping (it. *k*)
Hong a mo fetola a re, “E, mme bogolo go sego botlhe ba ba utlwang Lefoko la Modimo ba le dirisa.”
29 Of the now crowds being pressed around together He began to say; generation this (generation *no*) an evil is. a sign (it seeks after, *N(k)O*) and a sign not will be given to it only except the sign of Jonah (the prophet. *K*)
Ya re bontsi jwa batho bo ntse bo ikgotlhaganyetsa mo go ene, a ba rerela thero e, a re: “Dipaka tseno ke tse di bosula, tsa batho ba ba bosula. Ba tswelela ka go kopa tiragalo e e sa tlwaelesegang mo loaping [gore ke supe gore ke Mesia], mme kgakgamalo e ke tlaa ba e nayang fela ke ele ya ga Jona, yo dikai tsa gagwe di neng tsa supegetsa batho ba Ninefe gore o rometswe ke Modimo. Sekai sa me se se tshwanang le sone se tlaa supegetsa batho ba gore ke romilwe ke Modimo.
30 Even as for was (*o*) Jonah to the Ninevites a sign thus will be also the Son of Man to the generation this.
31 [The] Queen of [the] South will rise up in the judgment with the men of the generation this and will condemn them; For she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold greater than Solomon here.
“Mme ka Letsatsi la Katlholo Mohumagadi wa Sheba o tlaa tsoga mme a supe morafe o ka monwana, a o sekise gonne o tsamaile loeto lo lo leele go tla go reetsa botlhale jwa ga Solomone; mme fano go yo mogolo thata go gaisa Solomone [mme o reediwa ke ba se kae fela].
32 [The] men (Ninevites *N(k)O*) will stand up in the judgment with generation this and will condemn it; For they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold greater than Jonah [is] here.
“Batho ba Ninefe le bone ba tlaa tsoga ba sekisa sechaba se, gonne ba sokologile ka lobaka lwa thero ya ga Jona, mme yo mogola go gaisa Jona o fano. [Mme sechaba se ga se mo reetse].
33 But no [one] (now *k*) a lamp having lit in (a cellar *N(K)O*) sets it nor [sets it] under the basket but upon the lampstand that those entering in the (light *N(k)O*) may see.
“Ga go ope yo o tshubang lobone a tswe a lo fitlhe! eseng jalo, o lo baya mo setlhomong go bonesetsa botlhe ba ba tsenang mo tlung.
34 The lamp of body is the eye (of you. *no*) When (therefore *K*) the eye of you clear may be, also all the body of you light is; when however evil it may be, also the body of you [is] dark.
Matlho a gago a bonesa bokafateng jwa gago. Leitlho le le nang le keletso e e bosula le fifatsa lesedi mme le go latlhela mo lefifing.
35 do take heed therefore lest the light that [is] in you darkness be.
36 If therefore the body of you [is] full of light not having part any dark, it will be light all, as when the lamp so the shining may light you.
Fa go tletse lesedi mo go wena, go se na dintlha dipe tsa lefifi, hong bontle jwa gago le jone bo tlaa phatsima jaaka ekete lesedi le go phatsimela ka marang a lone.”
37 While then speaking (asked *N(k)O*) Him a Pharisee (a certain one *k*) that He would dine with him. having entered then He reclined.
Ya re a ntse a bua, mongwe wa Bafarasai a mo kopa go ya go ja kwa lwapeng lwa gagwe. Mme ya re a goroga a nna fa fatshe a ja kwa ntle ga go dirisa mokgwa wa Sejuta wa go tlhapa diatla pele ga a ja. Mme mo ga gakgamatsa yo o neng a mo laleditse.
38 And the Pharisee having seen [it] marveled that not first He washed before the dinner.
39 Said then the Lord to him; Now you yourselves Pharisees the outside the cup and the dish you cleanse, and the inside of you is full of plundering and wickedness.
40 Fools! Surely the [One] having made the outside also the inside made?
Dieleele ke lona! A Modimo ga oa ka wa dira bokafateng le bokafantle?
41 But [of] the [things] being within do give alms, and behold all things clean to you are.
Bophepa bo supa bopelontle.
42 But woe to you Pharisees, for you pay tithes of mint and rue and every herb and you pass by the justice and the love of God; These things (also *NO*) it was necessary for [you] to do, and those and those not (to neglect. *N(k)O*)
“Mme a bo go latlhega lona Bafarasai! Gonne le fa lo tlhokomela go ntsha di tsa bosome tsa mo go nnye mo lo go amogetseng, lo lebala gotlhelele kaga tshiamo le lorato lwa Modimo. Lo tshwanetse go kgetha, ee, lo tshwanetse go ntsha ditsa bosome, mme ga lo a tshwanela go tlogela tse dingwe tse di sa dirwa.
43 Woe to you Pharisees, for you love the first seat in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces.
“A bo go latlhega lona Bafarasai! Gonne lo rata manno a tlotlego mo disenagogeng le go dumedisiwa ka maitseo ke mongwe le mongwe fa lo tsamaya mo marekelong!
44 Woe to you (scribes and Pharisees hypocrites *K*) for you are like graves unmarked, and the men who are walking above not do know [it].
45 Answering now one of the lawyers says to Him; Teacher, these things saying also us You insult.
46 And He said; Also to you lawyers woe! For you burden the men [with] burdens heavy to bear and yourselves with one of the fingers of you not do touch the burdens.
Mme Jesu a re, “Ee, bogale jo bo ntseng jalo bolo emetse! Gonne lo gatelela batho mo ditaolong tsa tumelo tse di se ka keng tsa kgonega, tse le lona ka bo lona lo se ka keng lwa leka go di tshegetsa.
47 Woe to you, for you build the tombs of the prophets, yet the fathers of you killed them.
A bo go latlhega lona!
48 So (witnesses *N(k)O*) (you are *no*) and you consent to the works of the fathers of you; For they themselves indeed killed them, you yourselves however build (of them *K*) (the *k*) (monuments. *K*)
49 Because of this also the Wisdom of God said; I will send to them prophets and apostles. and [some] of them they will kill and (will pursue *N(k)O*)
“Mme se ke se Modimo o se buang kaga lona: ‘Ke tlaa romela baporofiti le baapostoloi kwa go lona, mme lo tlaa bolaya bangwe ba bone lo bo lo leleke ba bangwe’.
50 so that may be charged the blood of all the prophets which (poured out *N(k)O*) from [the] foundation of [the] world against generation this,
“Mme lona ba dipaka tseno lo tlaa arabela polao ya batlhanka ba Modimo go tswa tshimologong ya lefatshe,
51 from (the *k*) blood of Abel until (the *k*) blood of Zechariah the [one] having perished between the altar and the house. Yes I say to you, it will be required of generation this.
go tswa polaong ya ga Abele go tsena ka ya ga Sakarea yo o swetseng fa gare ga aletara le felo fa go boitshepo. Ee, ruri e tlaa lopiwa mo go lona.
52 Woe to you lawyers, for you have taken away the key of the knowledge. You yourselves not did enter and those entering you hindered.
“A bo go latlhega lona baitseanape ba tuelo! Gonne lo fitlhela batho boammaaruri. Ga lo bo ikamogelele, mme lo kganela ba bangwe go nna le nako ya go bo dumela.”
53 (And from there And from there *no*) (when was expressing *N(k)O*) (now *k*) He (these things to them *k*) [then] began the scribes and the Pharisees urgently to press upon [Him] and to make speak Him about many things
Hong Bafarasai le baruti ba molao ba gakala; mme ya re go tswa foo ba mo gagautlha ka dipotso tse dintsi, ba leka go mo raela gore a bue sengwe se ba ka mo tshwarang ka sone.
54 watching Him (and *K*) (seeking *KO*) to catch in something out of the mouth of Him (so that they may accuse him. *KO*)
