Luke 11
1 And it came to pass while being He in a place certain praying, when He ceased, said one of the disciples of Him to Him; Lord, do teach us to pray even as also John taught the disciples of him.
Un jour, Jésus était en prière en un lieu. Lorsqu'il eut fini de prier, un de ses disciples lui dit: «Seigneur, enseigne-nous à prier, comme Jean l'a enseigné à ses disciples.»
2 He said then to them; When you may pray, do say: Father (of us in to the heavens *K*) should be hallowed the name of You; should come the kingdom of You (should be [done] *KO*) (the will of you as in heaven and upon earth; *K*)
Il leur dit: «Quand vous priez, dites: «Père, que ton nom soit sanctifié; que ton règne vienne.
3 The bread of us daily do give us each day;
Donne-nous chaque jour notre pain quotidien.
4 And do forgive us the sins of us; also for ourselves we forgive to everyone indebted to us; and may you not lead us into temptation (but do deliver us from evil. *K*)
Remets-nous nos péchés, car nous remettons aussi leurs dettes à tous ceux qui nous doivent; et ne nous induis point en tentation.»
5 And He said to them; Who among you will have a friend, and will go to him at midnight and say to him; Friend, do lend me three loaves,
Et il ajouta: «Si quelqu'un de vous avait un ami, et qu'il l’allât trouver au milieu de la nuit pour lui dire: «Mon ami, prête-moi trois pains,
6 since a friend of mine is come off a journey to me, and nothing I have what I will set before him;
car un de mes amis qui voyage est arrivé chez moi, et je n'ai rien à lui offrir; »
7 And he And he from within answering may say; Not me trouble do cause. already the door has been shut, and the children of mine with me in the bed are; not I am able having risen up to give to you.
et que cet ami lui répondît de l'intérieur: «Ne m'importune pas; ma porte est déjà fermée, et mes petits enfants sont au lit avec moi; je ne puis me lever pour te donner ces pains; »
8 I say to you; if even not he will give to him having risen up because of being friend of him because of yet the persistence of him having risen he will give to him (as many as *NK(o)*) he needs.
eh bien! je vous dis qu'alors même qu'il ne se lèverait pas pour les lui donner, parce qu'il est son ami, il se lèvera à cause de son importunité, et lui en donnera autant qu'il en désire.
9 And I myself And I myself to you say; do ask and it will be given to you; do seek and you will find; do knock and it will be opened to you.
Je vous dis aussi: Demandez, et l'on vous donnera; cherchez, et vous trouverez; heurtez, et l'on vous ouvrira;
10 Everyone for the [one] asking receives, and the [one] seeking finds, and to the [one] knocking it will be opened.
car quiconque demande, reçoit; qui cherche, trouve; et l'on ouvre à qui heurte.
11 Which now (of *no*) you who [is] a father will ask for the son (bread surely not stone will he give to him *KO*) (if *K(o)*) a fish, and (surely not *ko*) instead of a fish a serpent to him will he give
Quel est parmi vous le père qui donne une pierre à son fils, quand il lui demande du pain? ou, s'il demande du poisson, lui donnera-t-il un serpent au lieu d'un poisson?
12 Or also (if *K*) (he will ask for *NK(O)*) an egg, (surely not *ko*) will he give to him a scorpion?
ou, s'il lui demande un oeuf, lui donnera-t-il un scorpion?
13 If therefore you yourselves evil being you know gifts good to give to the children of you, how much more the Father who [is] in heaven will give [the] Spirit Holy to those asking Him!
Si donc, tout méchants que vous êtes, vous savez donner de bonnes choses à vos enfants, combien plus le Père céleste donnera-t-il le Saint-Esprit à ceux qui le lui demandent!»
14 And He was casting out a demon and it was mute. it came to pass then from the demon having gone out spoke the mute And marveled the crowds.
Une autre fois, Jésus chassa un démon: c'était un démon sourd-muet. Lorsque le démon fut sorti, le sourd-muet parla; et la foule était dans l'admiration.
15 Some then of them said; By Beelzebul (the *no*) prince of the demons He casts out the demons.
Toutefois il y eut des gens qui dirent: C'est par Belzébuth, prince des démons, qu'il chasse les démons;
16 Others now testing a sign from heaven were seeking from Him.
tandis que d'autres, pour le mettre à l'épreuve, lui demandaient un signe qui vînt du ciel.
17 He himself now knowing their thoughts said to them; Every kingdom against itself having been divided is brought to desolation, and a house against a house falls.
Mais Jésus, connaissant leurs pensées, leur dit: «Tout royaume en proie aux divisions se détruit, et il tombe maison après maison.
18 If now even Satan against himself is divided, how will stand the kingdom of him? For you say by Beelzebul [am] casting out I the demons.
S'il est vrai que Satan soit en proie aux divisions, comment son royaume subsistera-t-il, puisque vous dites que c'est par Belzébuth que je chasse les démons?
19 If now I myself by Beelzebul cast out the demons, the sons of you by whom do they cast out? On account of this they themselves of you judges will be.
Et si, moi, je chasse les démons par Belzébuth, par qui vos fils les chassent-ils? C'est pourquoi ils seront eux-mêmes vos juges.
20 If however by [the] finger of God (I myself *no*) cast out the demons, then has come upon you the kingdom of God.
Mais si je chasse les démons par le doigt de Dieu, le royaume de Dieu est donc venu vers vous.
21 When the strong [man] having armed himself may guard the his own house, in peace are the possessions of him;
Quand l'homme fort et bien armé garde l'entrée de sa maison, ses biens sont en sûreté,
22 when however (*k*) [one] stronger than he having come upon [him] he may overcome him, the complete armor of him he takes away in which he had trusted, and the plunder of him he divides.
mais qu'un plus fort que lui vienne et le vainque, il lui enlève l'armure qui faisait sa sécurité, et il partage ses dépouilles.
23 The [one] not being with Me against Me is, and the [one] not gathering with Me scatters.
Qui n'est pas avec moi est contre moi, et qui n'assemble pas avec moi, disperse.
24 When the unclean spirit is gone out from the man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest. and not finding [any] (then *NO*) it says; I will return to the house of mine from where I came out.
Quand l'esprit impur est sorti d'un homme, il va par des lieux arides, pour chercher du repos; et, n'en trouvant point, il se dit: «Je retournerai dans la maison d'où je suis sorti.»
25 And having come it finds [it] (being unoccupied *O*) swept and ordered.
Il vient et la trouve balayée et mise en ordre.
26 Then it goes and it takes other spirits more evil than itself seven, and (having entered *NK(o)*) they dwell there; and becomes the last of the man that [one] worse than the first.
Alors il s'en va prendre sept autres esprits plus méchants que lui, puis ils y rentrent et s'y établissent; et la dernière condition de cet homme est pire que la première.»
27 It came to pass then while [is] saying He these things, having lifted up one [her] voice a woman from the crowd said to Him; Blessed [is] the womb which having borne You, and [the] breasts at which You nursed.
Pendant qu'il parlait ainsi, une femme, élevant la voix du milieu de la foule, lui dit: «Heureux le sein qui t'a porté! Heureuses les mamelles qui t'ont allaité!»
28 He himself then said; No rather blessed [are] those hearing the word of God and keeping (it. *k*)
«Ah! heureux plutôt, reprit Jésus, ceux qui écoutent la parole de Dieu, et qui la gardent.»
29 Of the now crowds being pressed around together He began to say; generation this (generation *no*) an evil is. a sign (it seeks after, *N(k)O*) and a sign not will be given to it only except the sign of Jonah (the prophet. *K*)
Comme la foule s'amassait, il se mit à dire: «Cette génération est une génération mauvaise; elle réclame un signe; eh bien! il ne lui en sera point accordé d'autre que le signe de Jonas:
30 Even as for was (*o*) Jonah to the Ninevites a sign thus will be also the Son of Man to the generation this.
de même que Jonas fut un signe pour les Ninivites, ainsi le Fils de l'homme sera un signe pour cette génération.
31 [The] Queen of [the] South will rise up in the judgment with the men of the generation this and will condemn them; For she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold greater than Solomon here.
La reine du Midi se lèvera au jour du jugement avec les hommes de cette génération, et les condamnera; car elle vint du bout du monde pour entendre la sagesse de Salomon; et il y a ici plus que Salomon.
32 [The] men (Ninevites *N(k)O*) will stand up in the judgment with generation this and will condemn it; For they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold greater than Jonah [is] here.
Les hommes de Ninive se lèveront au jour du jugement avec cette génération, et la condamneront; car ils se convertirent à la prédication de Jonas; et il y a ici plus que Jonas.
33 But no [one] (now *k*) a lamp having lit in (a cellar *N(K)O*) sets it nor [sets it] under the basket but upon the lampstand that those entering in the (light *N(k)O*) may see.
On n'allume pas une lampe pour la mettre dans une cave ou sous le boisseau; mais on la met sur son pied, afin que ceux qui entrent voient clair.
34 The lamp of body is the eye (of you. *no*) When (therefore *K*) the eye of you clear may be, also all the body of you light is; when however evil it may be, also the body of you [is] dark.
La lampe de ton corps, c'est ton oeil. Quand ton oeil est bon, tout ton corps est éclairé; mais quand ton oeil est mauvais, ton corps est dans les ténèbres;
35 do take heed therefore lest the light that [is] in you darkness be.
prends donc garde que la lumière qui est en toi, ne soit ténèbres.
36 If therefore the body of you [is] full of light not having part any dark, it will be light all, as when the lamp so the shining may light you.
Si donc ton corps tout entier est éclairé, sans qu'il y ait en toi aucune partie ténébreuse, il sera complètement éclairé, comme lorsque la lampe t'éclaire de sa lumière.
37 While then speaking (asked *N(k)O*) Him a Pharisee (a certain one *k*) that He would dine with him. having entered then He reclined.
Quand il eut parlé, un pharisien le pria à dîner chez lui. Jésus entra et se mit à table.
38 And the Pharisee having seen [it] marveled that not first He washed before the dinner.
Le pharisien voyant qu'il ne s'était point lavé avant le repas, en fut surpris.
39 Said then the Lord to him; Now you yourselves Pharisees the outside the cup and the dish you cleanse, and the inside of you is full of plundering and wickedness.
Mais le Seigneur lui dit: «Vous autres, pharisiens, vous nettoyez le dehors de la coupe et du plat, mais au dedans, vous êtes pleins de rapine et de malhonnêteté.
40 Fools! Surely the [One] having made the outside also the inside made?
Insensés, celui qui a fait le dehors, n'a-t-il pas fait aussi le dedans?
41 But [of] the [things] being within do give alms, and behold all things clean to you are.
Donnez-en plutôt le contenu en aumône, et alors toutes choses seront pures pour vous.
42 But woe to you Pharisees, for you pay tithes of mint and rue and every herb and you pass by the justice and the love of God; These things (also *NO*) it was necessary for [you] to do, and those and those not (to neglect. *N(k)O*)
Mais malheur à vous, pharisiens! parce que vous payez la dîme de la menthe, de la rue et de toute espèce de plantes potagères, et que vous négligez la justice et l'amour de Dieu: il fallait faire ces choses-ci, sans toutefois omettre celles-là.
43 Woe to you Pharisees, for you love the first seat in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces.
Malheur à vous, pharisiens! parce que vous aimez la première place dans les synagogues, et les salutations dans les places publiques.
44 Woe to you (scribes and Pharisees hypocrites *K*) for you are like graves unmarked, and the men who are walking above not do know [it].
Malheur à vous! parce que vous êtes comme ces sépulcres qu'on ne voit pas: on marche dessus sans le savoir.»
45 Answering now one of the lawyers says to Him; Teacher, these things saying also us You insult.
Un des docteurs de la Loi prit la parole et lui dit: «Maître, tu nous outrages aussi en parlant de la sorte.»
46 And He said; Also to you lawyers woe! For you burden the men [with] burdens heavy to bear and yourselves with one of the fingers of you not do touch the burdens.
Jésus lui dit: «Malheur à vous aussi, docteurs de la Loi! parce que vous chargez les hommes de fardeaux insupportables, et vous-mêmes vous n'y touchez pas du bout du doigt.
47 Woe to you, for you build the tombs of the prophets, yet the fathers of you killed them.
Malheur à vous! parce que vous bâtissez les tombeaux des prophètes que vos pères ont tués.
48 So (witnesses *N(k)O*) (you are *no*) and you consent to the works of the fathers of you; For they themselves indeed killed them, you yourselves however build (of them *K*) (the *k*) (monuments. *K*)
Vous servez donc de témoins, et vous applaudissez aux oeuvres de vos pères: eux, les ont tués, vous, vous bâtissez!
49 Because of this also the Wisdom of God said; I will send to them prophets and apostles. and [some] of them they will kill and (will pursue *N(k)O*)
C'est pourquoi la sagesse de Dieu a dit: Je leur enverrai des prophètes et des apôtres; ils tueront les uns et chasseront les autres,
50 so that may be charged the blood of all the prophets which (poured out *N(k)O*) from [the] foundation of [the] world against generation this,
afin qu'on redemande à cette génération le sang de tous les prophètes, qui a été versé depuis la création du monde,
51 from (the *k*) blood of Abel until (the *k*) blood of Zechariah the [one] having perished between the altar and the house. Yes I say to you, it will be required of generation this.
depuis le sang d'Abel jusqu'au sang de Zacharie, égorgé entre l'autel et le sanctuaire; oui, je vous le dis, ce sang sera redemandé à cette génération.
52 Woe to you lawyers, for you have taken away the key of the knowledge. You yourselves not did enter and those entering you hindered.
Malheur à vous, docteurs de la Loi! parce que vous avez enlevé la clef de la science: vous n'êtes pas entrés, et vous avez arrêté ceux qui entraient.»
53 (And from there And from there *no*) (when was expressing *N(k)O*) (now *k*) He (these things to them *k*) [then] began the scribes and the Pharisees urgently to press upon [Him] and to make speak Him about many things
Quand Jésus fut sorti de cette maison, les scribes et les pharisiens commencèrent à lui en vouloir violemment et à le faire parler sur plusieurs points
54 watching Him (and *K*) (seeking *KO*) to catch in something out of the mouth of Him (so that they may accuse him. *KO*)
en lui adressant des questions insidieuses, pour surprendre quelque parole compromettante sortie de sa bouche.
