Leviticus 21
1 And he said Yahweh to Moses say to the priests [the] sons of Aaron and you will say to them for a corpse not he will make himself unclean among kinspeople his.
Chúa Hằng Hữu phán dặn Môi-se nói với các con trai A-rôn: “Các thầy tế lễ không được đụng đến người chết để khỏi bị ô uế;
2 That except for relative his near to him for mother his and for father his and for son his and for daughter his and for brother his.
ngoại trừ trường hợp người chết là họ hàng gần—gồm cha, mẹ, con trai, con gái, anh em,
3 And for sister his the virgin near to him who not she has belonged to a husband for her he will make himself unclean.
chị em còn độc thân sống gần với mình vì không có chồng.
4 Not he will make himself unclean a husband among kinspeople his to profane himself.
Thầy tế lễ là người lãnh đạo của dân, nên không được để cho mình bị ô uế.
5 Not (they will make bald *Q(k)*) baldness on head their and [the] side of beard their not they will shave and in flesh their not they will cut cut[s].
Thầy tế lễ không được cạo tóc, cắt mép râu, hay cắt thịt mình.
6 Holy they will be to God their and not they will profane [the] name of God their for [the] fire offerings of Yahweh [the] food of God their they [are] presenting and they will be a holy thing.
Họ phải sống thánh khiết cho Đức Chúa Trời của họ, không được xúc phạm đến Danh Ngài, để xứng đáng là người dâng tế lễ thiêu, dâng bánh lên Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của họ. Vậy họ phải thánh khiết.
7 A woman a prostitute and a [woman] profaned not they will take and a woman divorced from husband her not they will take for [is] holy he to God his.
Thầy tế lễ không được kết hôn với gái mãi dâm hay đàn bà lăng loàn, cũng không nên lấy đàn bà ly dị, vì thầy tế lễ là người thánh của Đức Chúa Trời.
8 And you will set apart as holy him for [the] food of God your he [is] presenting holy he will be to you for [am] holy I Yahweh [who] sets apart as holy you.
Thầy tế lễ được biệt riêng để dâng lễ vật lên Đức Chúa Trời, là người thánh, vì Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu thánh khiết, đã thánh hóa họ.
9 And a daughter of a man a priest if she will profane herself by acting as a prostitute father her she [is] profaning with fire she will be burned.
Nếu con gái của thầy tế lễ làm gái mãi dâm, xúc phạm cha mình, thì người con gái ấy phải bị thiêu sống.
10 And the priest great more than brothers his whom it was poured on head his - [the] oil of anointing and he has filled hand his to wear the garments head his not he will let loose and garments his not he will tear.
Thầy thượng tế là người đầu được xức dầu thánh, mình mặc áo lễ, không có phép bỏ tóc xõa, không được xé áo mình,
11 And to any corpses of a dead [person] not he will go for father his and for mother his not he will make himself unclean.
cũng không được đến gần xác chết, làm ô uế mình, dù người chết là cha hay mẹ mình.
12 And from the sanctuary not he will go out and not he will profane [the] sanctuary of God his for [the] consecration of [the] oil of anointing of God his [is] on him I [am] Yahweh.
Thầy thượng tế không được rời khỏi đền thánh của Đức Chúa Trời hoặc xúc phạm nơi đó, vì người được hiến dâng cho Đức Chúa Trời bởi sự xức dầu, Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu.
13 And he a woman in virginiti her he will take.
Người chỉ được cưới gái đồng trinh làm vợ.
14 A widow and a divorced [woman] and a [woman] profaned a prostitute these not he will take that except a virgin from kinspeople his he will take a wife.
Người không được cưới đàn bà góa, đàn bà ly dị hay đàn bà lăng loàn, gái mãi dâm, nhưng chỉ được cưới gái đồng trinh trong đại tộc Lê-vi;
15 And not he will profane offspring his among kinspeople his for I [am] Yahweh [who] sets apart as holy him.
vì người không được phàm tục hóa con cháu mình giữa dân chúng. Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu, đã thánh hóa người.”
16 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
Chúa Hằng Hữu phán bảo Môi-se:
17 Speak to Aaron saying a man from offspring your to generations their whom it will be in him a blemish not he will draw near to present [the] food of God his.
“Hãy nói với A-rôn: ‘Không một ai trong con cháu ngươi—từ nay cho đến các thế hệ sau—được đứng dâng lễ vật lên Đức Chúa Trời nếu bị tật nguyền.
18 For any man whom [is] in him a blemish not he will draw near a man blind or lame or [having] a slit nose or [having] something enlarged.
Đó là những người bị khiếm thị, què, thân thể biến dạng,
19 Or a man whom it will be in him a fracture of a foot or a fracture of a hand.
những người gãy chân, gãy tay,
20 Or a [man] hunchbacked or a [man] thin or a defect in eye his or eczema or scabs or a [man] crushed of testicle.
hoặc gù lưng, còi cọc, mắt có tật, ghẻ lở, và tinh hoàn dập.
21 Any man whom [is] in him a blemish from [the] offspring of Aaron the priest not he will draw near to present [the] fire offerings of Yahweh a blemish [is] in him [the] food of God his not he will draw near to present.
Vậy, người có tật nguyền—dù là con cháu Thầy Tế lễ A-rôn—sẽ không được đứng dâng lễ thiêu lên Chúa Hằng Hữu.
22 [the] food of God his from [the] holy things of the holy things and from the holy things he will eat.
Tuy nhiên, họ được phép ăn lễ vật đã dâng lên Đức Chúa Trời, cả lễ vật thánh và rất thánh.
23 Nevertheless to the curtain not he will go and to the altar not he will draw near for a blemish [is] in him and not he will profane sanctuary my for I [am] Yahweh [who] sets apart as holy them.
Nhưng không được đến gần bức màn và bàn thờ, vì tật nguyền của người ấy sẽ xúc phạm nơi thánh của Ta. Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu đã thánh hóa các nơi ấy.’”
24 And he spoke Moses to Aaron and to sons his and to all [the] people of Israel.
Môi-se lặp lại các lời này cho A-rôn, các con trai A-rôn, và toàn dân Ít-ra-ên.
