< Leviticus 20 >
1 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens:
2 And to [the] people of Israel you will say a person a person from [the] people of Israel and of the sojourner[s] - who sojourns in Israel who he will give any of offspring his to Molech certainly he will be put to death [the] people of the land they will stone him with stone[s].
Hæc loqueris filiis Israël: Homo de filiis Israël, et de advenis qui habitant in Israël, si quis dederit de semine suo idolo Moloch, morte moriatur: populus terræ lapidabit eum.
3 And I I will set face my on the person that and I will cut off him from among people his for one of offspring his he has given to Molech so as to make unclean sanctuary my and to profane [the] name of holiness my.
Et ego ponam faciem meam contra illum: succidamque eum de medio populi sui, eo quod dederit de semine suo Moloch, et contaminaverit sanctuarium meum, ac polluerit nomen sanctum meum.
4 And if certainly they will hide [the] people of the land eyes their from the person that when gives he one of offspring his to Molech to not to put to death him.
Quod si negligens populus terræ, et quasi parvipendens imperium meum, dimiserit hominem qui dedit de semine suo Moloch, nec voluerit eum occidere:
5 And I will set I face my on the person that and on clan his and I will cut off him and - all those [who] act as prostitutes after him by acting as prostitutes after Molech from among people their.
ponam faciem meam super hominem illum, et super cognationem ejus, succidamque et ipsum, et omnes qui consenserunt ei ut fornicarentur cum Moloch, de medio populi sui.
6 And the person who it will turn to the necromancers and to the soothsayers to act as a prostitute after them and I will set face my on the person that and I will cut off him from among people his.
Anima, quæ declinaverit ad magos et ariolos, et fornicata fuerit cum eis, ponam faciem meam contra eam, et interficiam illam de medio populi sui.
7 And you will keep yourselves holy and you will be holy for I [am] Yahweh God your.
Sanctificamini et estote sancti, quia ego sum Dominus Deus vester.
8 And you will keep statutes my and you will do them I [am] Yahweh [who] sets apart as holy you.
Custodite præcepta mea, et facite ea: ego Dominus qui sanctifico vos.
9 If a person a person who he will curse father his and mother his certainly he will be put to death father his and mother his he has cursed blood his [are] on him.
Qui maledixerit patri suo, aut matri, morte moriatur: patri matrique maledixit: sanguis ejus sit super eum.
10 And a man who he will commit adultery a wife of a man who he will commit adultery [the] wife of neighbor his certainly he will be put to death the adulterer and the adulteress.
Si mœchatus quis fuerit cum uxore alterius, et adulterium perpetraverit cum conjuge proximi sui, morte moriantur et mœchus et adultera.
11 And a man who he will lie with [the] wife of father his [the] nakedness of father his he has uncovered certainly they will be put to death both of them blood their [are] on them.
Qui dormierit cum noverca sua, et revelaverit ignominiam patris sui, morte moriantur ambo: sanguis eorum sit super eos.
12 And a man who he will lie with daughter-in-law his certainly they will be put to death both of them confusion they have done blood their [are] on them.
Si quis dormierit cum nuru sua, uterque moriatur, quia scelus operati sunt: sanguis eorum sit super eos.
13 And a man who he will lie with a male [the] lyings of a woman an abomination they have done both of them certainly they will be put to death blood their [are] on them.
Qui dormierit cum masculo coitu femineo, uterque operatus est nefas: morte moriantur: sit sanguis eorum super eos.
14 And a man who he will take a woman and mother her [is] wickedness it with fire people will burn him and them and not it will be wickedness in midst of you.
Qui supra uxorem filiam, duxerit matrem ejus, scelus operatus est: vivus ardebit cum eis, nec permanebit tantum nefas in medio vestri.
15 And a man who he will give copulation his in an animal certainly he will be put to death and the animal you will kill.
Qui cum jumento et pecore coierit, morte moriatur: pecus quoque occidite.
16 And a woman who she will draw near to any animal to stretch out with with it and you will kill the woman and the animal certainly they will be put to death blood their [are] on them.
Mulier, quæ succubuerit cuilibet jumento, simul interficietur cum eo: sanguis eorum sit super eos.
17 And a man who he will take sister his [the] daughter of father his or [the] daughter of mother his and he will see nakedness her and she she will see nakedness his [is] a shame it and they will be cut off to [the] eyes of [the] sons of people their [the] nakedness of sister his he has uncovered iniquity his he will bear.
Qui acceperit sororem suam filiam patris sui, vel filiam matris suæ, et viderit turpitudinem ejus, illaque conspexerit fratris ignominiam, nefariam rem operati sunt: occidentur in conspectu populi sui, eo quod turpitudinem suam mutuo revelaverint, et portabunt iniquitatem suam.
18 And a man who he will lie with a woman menstruating and he will uncover nakedness her spring her he has made naked and she she has uncovered [the] spring of blood her and they will be cut off both of them from among people their.
Qui coierit cum muliere in fluxu menstruo, et revelaverit turpitudinem ejus, ipsaque aperuerit fontem sanguinis sui, interficientur ambo de medio populi sui.
19 And [the] nakedness of [the] sister of mother your and [the] sister of father your not you will uncover for relative his he has made naked iniquity their they will bear.
Turpitudinem materteræ et amitæ tuæ non discooperies: qui hoc fecerit, ignominiam carnis suæ nudavit; portabunt ambo iniquitatem suam.
20 And a man who he will lie with aunt his [the] nakedness of uncle his he has uncovered sin their they will bear childless they will die.
Qui coierit cum uxore patrui vel avunculi sui, et revelaverit ignominiam cognationis suæ, portabunt ambo peccatum suum: absque liberis morientur.
21 And a man who he will take [the] wife of brother his [is] impurity it [the] nakedness of brother his he has uncovered childless they will be.
Qui duxerit uxorem fratris sui, rem facit illicitam: turpitudinem fratris sui revelavit: absque liberis erunt.
22 And you will keep all statutes my and all judgments my and you will do them and not it will vomit up you the land where I [am] about to bring you there towards to dwell in it.
Custodite leges meas, atque judicia, et facite ea: ne et vos evomat terra quam intraturi estis et habitaturi.
23 And not you will walk in [the] statutes of the nation which I [am] about to send away from before you for all these [things] they have done and I loathed them.
Nolite ambulare in legitimis nationum, quas ego expulsurus sum ante vos. Omnia enim hæc fecerunt, et abominatus sum eas.
24 And I have said to you you you will take possession of ground their and I I will give it to you to take possession of it a land flowing of milk and honey I [am] Yahweh God your who I have separated you from the peoples.
Vobis autem loquor. Possidete terram eorum, quam dabo vobis in hæreditatem, terram fluentem lacte et melle. Ego Dominus Deus vester, qui separavi vos a ceteris populis.
25 And you will separate between the animal[s] pure and unclean and between the bird[s] unclean and pure and not you will make detestable selves your by animal[s] and by bird[s] and by all that it creeps the ground which I have separated for you to declare unclean.
Separate ergo et vos jumentum mundum ab immundo, et avem mundam ab immunda: ne polluatis animas vestras in pecore, et avibus, et cunctis quæ moventur in terra, et quæ vobis ostendi esse polluta.
26 And you will be to me holy for [am] holy I Yahweh and I have separated you from the peoples to belong to me.
Eritis mihi sancti, quia sanctus sum ego Dominus, et separavi vos a ceteris populis, ut essetis mei.
27 And a man or a woman that he will be among them a necromancer or a soothsayer certainly they will be put to death with stone[s] people will stone them blood their [are] on them.
Vir, sive mulier, in quibus pythonicus, vel divinationis fuerit spiritus, morte moriantur: lapidibus obruent eos: sanguis eorum sit super illos.
