Leviticus 17
1 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
Jahweh sprak tot Moses:
2 Speak to Aaron and to sons his and to all [the] people of Israel and you will say to them this [is] the thing which he has commanded Yahweh saying.
Beveel Aäron en zijn zonen en alle Israëlieten, en zeg hun: Dit heeft Jahweh bevolen:
3 A person a person from [the] house of Israel who he will cut [the] throat of an ox or a young ram or a goat in the camp or who he will cut [the] throat of [it] from [the] outside of the camp.
Iedereen van Israëls huis, die een stier, een lam of een geit in of buiten de legerplaats slacht,
4 And to [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting not he has brought it to present a present to Yahweh before [the] dwelling place of Yahweh blood it will be reckoned to the person that blood he has shed and he will be cut off the person that from among people his.
en ze niet bij bij de ingang van de openbaringstent brengt om voor de woning van Jahweh een gave aan Jahweh op te dragen, zal het als bloedschuld worden aangerekend; die man heeft bloed vergoten, en zal van zijn volk worden afgesneden.
5 So that that they may bring [the] people of Israel sacrifices their which they [are] sacrificing on [the] face of the field and they will bring them to Yahweh to [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting to the priest and they will sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings to Yahweh them.
Daarom moeten de kinderen Israëls hun slachtoffers, die zij gewoon zijn in het open veld te slachten, voor Jahweh naar den priester brengen bij de ingang van de openbaringstent, en als vredeoffers voor Jahweh slachten.
6 And he will sprinkle the priest the blood on [the] altar of Yahweh [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting and he will make smoke the fat to an odor of soothing to Yahweh.
En de priester moet het bloed op het altaar van Jahweh bij de ingang van de openbaringstent sprenkelen, en het vet als een heerlijk geurend offer voor Jahweh in rook doen opgaan.
7 And not they will sacrifice again sacrifices their to the goat idols which they [are] prostituting themselves after them a statute of perpetuity it will be this for them to generations their.
Ze mogen dus hun offers niet meer voor de bosgeesten slachten, die zij ontuchtig achterna lopen. Dit is voor hen een eeuwig geldende wet van geslacht tot geslacht.
8 And to them you will say a person a person from [the] house of Israel and of the sojourner[s] who he will sojourn in midst of them who he will offer up a burnt offering or a sacrifice.
Ge moet hun dus zeggen: Iedereen van Israëls huis en van de vreemdelingen in uw midden, die een brand of slachtoffer opdraagt,
9 And to [the] entrance of [the] tent of meeting not he will bring it to offer it to Yahweh and he will be cut off the person that from kinspeople his.
en het niet naar de openbaringstent brengt, om het Jahweh te offeren, zal van zijn volk worden afgesneden.
10 And a person a person from [the] house of Israel and of the sojourner[s] who sojourns in midst of them who he will eat any blood and I will set face my on the person who eats blood and I will cut off it from among people its.
Iedereen uit het huis van Israël of van de vreemdelingen in uw midden, die enig bloed nuttigt, zal Ik om het nuttigen van dat bloed mijn gramschap doen voelen en hem van zijn volk afsnijden.
11 For [the] life of the flesh [is] in the blood it and I I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement on selves your for [is] the blood it [which] by the life it makes atonement.
Want in het bloed zit het leven van een schepsel. Daarom heb Ik het u enkel voor het altaar gegeven, om voor u verzoening te verkrijgen; want het bloed verkrijgt verzoening door het leven.
12 There-fore I have said to [the] people of Israel any person from you not it will eat blood and the sojourner who sojourns in midst of you not he will eat blood.
Daarom zeg Ik tot de kinderen Israëls: Niemand van u mag bloed nuttigen; ook de vreemdeling niet, die in uw midden woont.
13 And a person a person from [the] people of Israel and of the sojourner[s] who sojourns in midst of them who he will hunt hunted game of an animal or a bird which it will be eaten and he will pour out blood its and he will cover it with dust.
Iedereen van de Israëlieten en van de vreemden in uw midden, die wild of gevogelte heeft gejaagd, dat gegeten mag worden, moet het bloed uitgieten en met aarde bedekken.
14 For [the] life of all flesh blood its [is] life its it and I have said to [the] people of Israel [the] blood of any flesh not you must eat for [the] life of all flesh [is] blood its it all [those who] eat it he will be cut off.
Want het leven van elk schepsel zit in zijn bloed. Daarom herhaal Ik tot de Israëlieten: Van geen enkel schepsel moogt ge het bloed nuttigen; want het leven van ieder schepsel zit in zijn bloed. Iedereen, die het nuttigt, zal worden afgesneden.
15 And every person who it will eat a carcass and a torn animal among the native-born and among the sojourner and he will wash garments his and he will wash with water and he will be unclean until the evening and he will be pure.
Iedereen, zowel de ingezetene als de vreemde, die een gestorven of een verscheurd dier eet, moet zijn kleren wassen, een bad nemen, en is tot de avond onrein; daarna is hij weer rein.
16 And if not he will wash and body his not he will wash and he will bear iniquity his.
Als hij zijn kleren niet wast en geen bad neemt, begaat hij een zonde.
