1 And he went Abimelech [the] son of Jerub-Baal Shechem towards to [the] brothers of mother his and he spoke to them and to all [the] clan of [the] house of [the] father of mother his saying.
Jerubbaal capa Abimelek teh Shekhem kho vah a manu e a thangroi koe a cei teh, a manu a na pa imthungkhunaw hah a kâhmo teh,
2 Speak please in [the] ears of all [the] citizens of Shechem what? [is] good for you ¿ to rule over you seventy man all [the] sons of Jerub-Baal or? to rule over you a man one and you will remember that [am] bone your and flesh your I.
Shekhem kho e taminaw pueng be ka thai lah a dei e lawk teh, Jerubbaal capa abuemlah 70 touh ni na uk awh e maw ka hawihnawn han, tami buet touh ni na uk e maw kahawi han, dei haw kai hai nangmae thitak hoi kâkuen e doeh tie hah pahnim awh hanh.
3 And they spoke [the] brothers of mother his on him in [the] ears of all [the] citizens of Shechem all the words these and it turned aside heart their after Abimelech for they said [is] brother our he.
A manu e thangroinaw ni Shekhem kho e taminaw pueng be ka thai lah a dei pouh. Hahoi teh Abimelek hnukkâbang hane a lung koung a tho awh, bangkongtetpawiteh, ama teh maimae hmaunawngha doeh ati awh.
4 And they gave to him seventy silver (from [the] house of Baal-*L(abh)*) Berith and he hired for them Abimelech men unprincipled and undisciplined and they went after him.

5 And he went [the] house of father his Ophrah towards and he killed brothers his [the] sons of Jerub-Baal (seventy *L(abh)*) man on stone one and he was left Jotham [the] son of Jerub-Baal young for he hid himself.
Ophrah kho a na pa im vah a cei teh, Jerubbaal capa a hmaunawnghanaw 70 touh talung buet touh van koung a thei. Hateiteh, Jerubbaal capa a cahnoung Jotham teh a kâhro teh a hring.
6 And they gathered all [the] citizens of Shechem and all Beth Millo and they went and they made king Abimelech to king near [the] great tree set up which [was] in Shechem.
Hahoi Shekhemnaw pueng hoiyah, Bethmillo taminaw pueng a kamkhueng awh teh, Abimelek teh Shekhem kho talung a ungnae kung koe kathen kung koevah siangpahrang lah a sak awh.
7 And people told to Jotham and he went and he stood on [the] top of [the] mountain of Gerizim and he lifted up voice his and he called out and he said to them listen to me O citizens of Shechem so he may listen to you God.
Hote kong Jotham ni a thai torei teh, Gerizim mon a cei teh, monsom a kangdue teh a lawk hoi tha hoi a hramkhai e teh, Oe Shekhemnaw voi Cathut ni nangmae lawk a tarawi thai nahan kaie ka lawk hah thai awh haw.
8 Certainly they went the trees to anoint over them a king and they said to the olive tree (reign! *Q(k)*) over us.
Thingkungnaw ni siangpahrang lah satui awi hanelah a cei awh teh olive thing hanelah, nang ni kaimouh na uk loe atipouh awh.
9 And it said to them the olive tree ¿ will I cease fatness my which by me people honor gods and men and will I go to sway over the trees.
Hatei, olive thing ni ahnimouh koe, Cathut hoi tami barinae ka satui heh poutsak vaiteh, thingkung nangmouh koe maw kai ka kap han toung telah atipouh.
10 And they said the trees to the fig tree come you reign over us.
Hahoi thingkungnaw ni thaibunglung koevah, nang ni kaimouh na uk leih, atipouh.
11 And it said to them the fig tree ¿ will I cease sweetness my and fruit my good and will I go to sway over the trees.
Hatei, thaibunglung ni ahnimouh koevah, ka radipnae hoi a pâw ka thawnnae poutsak vaiteh, thingkungnaw koe maw ka kap han toung, telah atipouh
12 And they said the trees to the vine come you (reign *Q(k)*) over us.
Hahoi thingkungnaw ni Misurkung koevah, nang ni na uk awh hottelah atipouh.
13 And it said to them the vine ¿ will I cease new wine my which makes glad gods and men and will I go to sway over the trees.
Misurkung ni ahnimouh koe Cathut hoi tami a lungkahawi sak e ka tui ka hang heh poutsak vaiteh, thingkungnaw koe maw ka kap han toung telah atipouh.
14 And they said all the trees to the thorn bush come you reign over us.
Hahoi thingnaw pueng ni pâkhing nang kaimouh na uk leih atipouh.
15 And it said the thorn bush to the trees if in truth you [are] anointing me to king over you come take refuge in shade my and if not let it go out a fire from the thorn bush and let it consume [the] cedars of Lebanon.
Pâkhing ni thing koevah, na siangpahrang hanlah satui na awi katang pawiteh, tho awh haw ka tâhlip dawkvah kângue awh. Hatei, satui koe na awi awh hoehpawiteh pâkhing dawk hoi hmai tâcawt vaiteh, Lebanon mon dawk kaawm e Sidar thing koung kang naseh atipouh.
16 And now if in faithfulness and in integrity you have acted and you have made king Abimelech and if good you have done with Jerub-Baal and with house his and if according to [the] dealing of hands his you have done to him.
Atuteh nangmouh ni Abimelek teh siangpahrang lah na sak awh dawkvah, a lawkkamnae kalancalah a caksak teh Jerubbaal hoi ahnie miphunnaw hah kahawicalah a khet teh, coe hane kamcu e ahni dawk na sak awh toung maw. Lungma hane kâkilah na sak pouh boum teh,
17 That he fought father my on you and he threw life his from in front and he delivered you from [the] hand of Midian.
kaie apa ni ahnimouh hanlah ransa a thaw teh a hringnae a kâhmoun khai hoi nangmanaw teh Midiannaw e kut dawk hoi na rungngang awh.
18 And you you have risen up on [the] house of father my this day and you have killed sons his seventy man on stone one and you have made king Abimelech [the] son of female slave his over [the] citizens of Shechem for [is] brother your he.
Nangmanaw ni apa imthungkhu dawk ransa na thaw awh teh, a capa 70 touh talung buet touh van koung na thei awh teh, na hmaunawngha lah kaawm e a sannu capa Abimelek hah Shekhemnaw hane siangpahrang lah na sak awh.
19 And if in faithfulness and in integrity you have acted with Jerub-Baal and with house his the day this rejoice in Abimelech so he may rejoice also he in you.
Atuteh nangmanaw ni Jerubbaal hoi a miphunnaw koe Atangcalah lawk na kam awh boum teh Abimelek koevah na lunghawi awh. Ama hai nangmouh koevah a lunghawi naseh.
20 And if not let it go out a fire from Abimelech and let it consume [the] citizens of Shechem and Beth Millo and let it go out a fire from [the] citizens of Shechem and from Beth Millo and let it consume Abimelech.
Telah hoehpawiteh, Abimelek koehoi hmaisaan tâcawt naseh. Shekhemnaw hoi Bethmillo taminaw hah koung kang naseh. Hahoi Shekhem hoi Bethmillo koehoi hmai tâcawt naseh, Abimelek hah kang naseh telah a ti.
21 And he fled Jotham and he ran away and he went Beer towards and he dwelt there [away] from before Abimelech brother his.
Jotham teh karanglah a yawng, a hmau Abimelek a taki kecu dawkvah, Beer kho a cei teh hawvah ao.
22 And he ruled Abimelech over Israel three years.
Abimelek ni Isarelnaw kum thum touh a uk hnukkhu hoi,
23 And he sent God a spirit evil between Abimelech and between [the] citizens of Shechem and they dealt treacherously [the] citizens of Shechem with Abimelech.
Cathut ni Abimelek hoi Shekhemnaw e rahak vah ka mathout e muitha hah a tha pouh teh, Shekhem kho e taminaw ni Abimelek e lawkkam e a raphoe awh.
24 To come [the] violence of seventy [the] sons of Jerub-Baal and blood their to put on Abimelech brother their who he killed them and on [the] citizens of Shechem who they strengthened hands his to kill brothers his.
Hot teh Jerubbaal capa 70 touh tak dawk kahawihoeh lahoi a sak kecu dawkvah, amamae tak dawk moipathung hane a pha thai nahan hoi, kathetkung Abimelek tak dawk hai a hmaunawnghanaw thei sak hanlah kampangkhaie Shekhem a lungkahanaw koevah a thi phu a um nahanelah doeh.
25 And they set to him [the] citizens of Shechem ambushers on [the] tops of the mountains and they robbed every [one] who he passed by on them on the road and it was told to Abimelech.
Shekhemnaw niyah Abimelek teh lawp han a ngai awh dawkvah, taminaw monsom a pawp sak awh. Ahnimanaw ni kahlawng ka cet e naw pueng hnopainaw a lawp awh teh a la pouh awh. Hote kamthang hah Abimelek ni a thai.
26 And he came Gaal [the] son of Ebed and brothers his and they passed on in Shechem and they trusted in him [the] citizens of Shechem.
Ebed capa Gaal ni amae hmaunaw hoi cungtalah Shekhem kho a kâen awh teh, Shekhemnaw ni a kângue awh.
27 And they went out the field and they gathered grapes vineyards their and they trod [them] and they made rejoicings and they went [the] house of god their and they ate and they drank and they cursed Abimelech.
Takha dawk e misurpaw naw a khi awh teh a phunep sak awh. Hahoi amamae cathut im dawk a cei awh teh, Abimelek teh thoe a bo awh.
28 And he said - Gaal [the] son of Ebed who? [is] Abimelech and who? [is] Shechem that we will serve him ¿ not [is he] [the] son of Jerub-Baal and [is] Zebul? deputy his serve [the] men of Hamor [the] father of Shechem and why? will we serve him we.
Hahoi Ebed e capa Gaal ni Abimelek teh apimaw, Shekhem teh apimaw, a thaw khuet tawk pouh han vaw. Jerubbaal capa nahoehmaw. Zebul heh a bawi nahoehmaw. Shekhem na pa Hamornaw e thaw hah tawk pouh naseh. Bangkongmaw ahnimae thaw khuet tawk pouh han vaw.
29 And who? will he give the people this in hand my and I will remove Abimelech and he said of Abimelech make numerous army your and come out!
Kâtawnnae rahim vah hete taminaw ni ao to duengvah, Abimelek teh ka takhoe han telah ati. Hahoi Abimelek koevah na ransanaw kârakueng nateh kamthaw awh atipouh.
30 And he heard Zebul [the] official of the city [the] words of Gaal [the] son of Ebed and it burned anger his.
Ebed e capa Gaal ni a dei e lawk khobawi Zebul ni a thai toteh, a lung thouk a khuek.
31 And he sent messengers to Abimelech in treachery saying here! Gaal [the] son of Ebed and brothers his [are] coming Shechem towards and here they [are] shutting up the city on you.
Hat torei teh, arulahoi Abimelek koevah patounenaw a patoun awh teh khenhaw! Ebed capa Gaal hoi a hmaunaw Shekhem vah a tho awh teh, khenhaw! nang nama na taran hanelah hoiyah khocanaw a tacuek awh.
32 And therefore arise night you and the people which [is] with you and lie in wait in the field.
Hatdawkvah, atu na taminaw hoi karum lah kamthaw nateh, law hoi nangmouh ni pawm awh lawih.
33 And it will be in the morning when rises the sun you will rise early and you will make a raid on the city and there! he and the people which [is] with him [are] going out against you and you will do to him just as it will find hand your.
Hahoi teh hettelah han. Amom kanîtho tahma kho hah tuk awh lawih. Khenhaw! ama hoi a taminaw ni na tuk awh torei teh, nangmouh ni atueng kahawi na hmu awh e lahoi yah tuk awh lawih atipouh.
34 And he arose Abimelech and all the people which [was] with him night and they lay in wait on Shechem four companies.
Hot patetlah, Abimelek hoi a taminaw teh, karum vah a thaw awh teh, phu pali touh lah a kâkapek awh teh, Shekhem kho king a kalup awh.
35 And he went out Gaal [the] son of Ebed and he stood [the] entrance of [the] gate of the city and he arose Abimelech and the people which [was] with him from the ambush.
Ebed e capa Gaal teh a tâco teh, kho thung kâennae longkha koe a kangdue. Hahoi Abimelek ni a taminaw hoi pawpnae hmuen koehoi a tâco awh
36 And he saw Gaal the people and he said to Zebul there! a people [is] coming down from [the] tops of the mountains and he said to him Zebul [the] shadow of the mountains you [are] seeing like men.
Gaal ni taminaw a hmu toteh, Zebul koevah khenhaw! mon dawk hoiyah taminaw a tho awh telah atipouh. Zebul ni teh mon a tâhlip vaiyaw tamihu patetlah na hmu payon awh atipouh.
37 And he repeated again Gaal to speak and he said there! a people [are] coming down from with [the] center of the land and a company one [is] coming from [the] direction of [the] great tree of [the] soothsayer.
Gaal ni khenhaw, mon lahoi a kumcathuk e tami tangawn teh Meonenim kathen kung koe lahoi ka tho e naw doeh telah bout atipouh.
38 And he said to him Zebul where? then [is] mouth your O [you] who you said who? [is] Abimelech that we will serve him ¿ not [is] this the people which you rejected it go out please now and fight against him.
Zebul ni ahni koevah, Abimelek teh apimaw, a thaw khuet tawk pouh han vaw telah ati e na lawk hah nâmaw yo na thak. Hetnaw heh hroung na hnephnap e naw nahoehmaw. Tâcawt sin nateh tuk kanouk khe atipouh.
39 And he went out Gaal before [the] citizens of Shechem and he fought against Abimelech.
Hahoi teh Gaal ni Shekhemnaw hah a hrawi teh, Abimelek hah a tuk awh.
40 And he pursued him Abimelech and he fled from before him and they fell [those] fatally wounded many to [the] entrance of the gate.
Abimelek ni a pâlei awh teh Gaal teh a yawng. Kho thung kâennae longkha koe totouh tami moikapap hmâtan hoi a kamlei awh teh a due awh.
41 And he dwelt Abimelech at Arumah and he drove out Zebul Gaal and brothers his from dwelling at Shechem.
Hathnukkhu hoi Abimelek teh Arumah khopui dawk ao teh, Zebul ni Gaal hoi a hmaunawnghanaw hah Shekhem kho o thai hoeh nahanlah hoi a pâlei awh.
42 And it was from [the] next day and it went out the people the field and people told to Abimelech.
Atangtho e hnin dawkvah, taminaw pueng teh kho alawilah a tâco han tie hah, Abimelek ni a thai toteh,
43 And he took the people and he divided them into three companies and he lay in wait in the field and he saw and there! the people [was] going out from the city and he rose up on them and he struck down them.
a taminaw phu thum touh lah a kapek teh, kahrawng lahoi a pawp sak awh. Hahoi bout a khet torei teh, taminaw pueng kho thung hoi a tâco awh teh, ahnimanaw hah a tuk awh.
44 And Abimelech and the companies which [were] with him they made a raid and they stood [the] entrance of [the] gate of the city and [the] two the companies they made a raid on all [those] who [were] in the field and they struck down them.
Abimelek ni amae a tami phu touh hoi kho longkha koe a yawng sin teh, rek a ngang awh. Alouke phu hni touh ni teh kahrawng lae kaawmnaw hah a yawng sin teh a thei awh.
45 And Abimelech [was] fighting against the city all the day that and he captured the city and the people which [was] in it he killed and he pulled down the city and he sowed it salt.
Abimelek ni hote hnin dawk teh, hote khopui hah kanîruirui a tuk. Khopui hah a lawp awh teh, khocanaw teh he a thei awh. Khopui hai he a raphoe awh hnukkhu palawi mak a phuen awh.
46 And they heard all [the] citizens of [the] tower of Shechem and they went into [the] underground chamber of [the] house of El-Berith.
Shekhem imrasang dawk kaawmnaw ni hote kamthang a thai awh toteh, Elberith im doeh ka cak ati awh teh, haw e rapanim thung a yawng awh.
47 And it was told to Abimelech that they had gathered together all [the] citizens of [the] tower of Shechem.
Hahoi Shekhem e imrasang thung kaawm e naw pueng teh king a kamkhueng awh toe tie Abimelek ni a thai navah,
48 And he went up Abimelech [the] mountain of Zalmon he and all the people which [was] with him and he took Abimelech the axes in hand his and he cut off a branch of wood and he lifted up it and he put [it] on shoulder his and he said to the people which [was] with him whatever you have seen I have done hurry do like me.
Abimelek hai ama koe kaawm e naw pueng hoi Zalmon mon dawk a luen awh teh Abimelek ni cakâ a sin. Thingkang a bouk teh a sin teh a taminaw koevah, ka sak e hah na hmu awh e patetlah nangmouh ni hai karanglah sak awh, atipouh.
49 And they cut off also all the people everyone own branch his and they went after Abimelech and they put [them] over the underground chamber and they set on fire over them the underground chamber with fire and they died also all [the] men of [the] tower of Shechem about a thousand man and woman.
Hahoi teh, taminaw pueng ni thingkang bouk e a sin awh teh Abimelek hnuk a kâbang awh. Shekhem kalupnae rapanim hmai tuet a sawi pouh awh. Hottelah, Shekhem imrasang thung kaawm e napui tongpa 1,000 touh hmeng a due awh.
50 And he went Abimelech to Thebez and he encamped at Thebez and he captured it.
Hahoi Abimelek teh Thebez vah a cei. Thebez a tuk teh a tâ.
51 And a tower of strength it was in [the] middle of the city and they fled there towards all the men and the women and all [the] citizens of the city and they shut [the] door behind them and they went up on [the] roof of the tower.
Hahoi teh khopui dawk kacakpounge imrasang buet touh ao. Kho thung e napui tongpa pueng hote rapan thung koung a yawng awh. Tho king a taren awh teh, hote imrasang van a luen awh.
52 And he came Abimelech to the tower and he fought against it and he drew near to [the] entrance of the tower to burn it with fire.
Abimelek ni imrasang tuk hanelah rek a hnai teh, takhang koe rek a hnai teh hmai ka sawi han toe ati navah,
53 And she threw a woman one a mill-stone of an upper mill-stone on [the] head of Abimelech and it crushed skull his.
Napui buet touh ni cakang phawmnae sum avan e talung hoi Abimelek e lû dawk a dei pouh teh a lû rak a kâbawng.
54 And he called quickly to the young man - [who] carried armor his and he said to him draw sword your and kill me lest people should say of me a woman she killed him and he pierced through him young man his and he died.
Ama e senehmaica ka sin e tami hah karanglah a kaw teh, napui ni Abimelek a thei tie lah ao hoeh nahan, nama e tahloi lat nateh kai hah na thun leih atipouh. A san ni a thut teh a due.
55 And they saw [the] man of Israel that he was dead Abimelech and they went everyone to own place his.
Abimelek a due toe tie Isarelnaw ni a thai awh toteh, taminaw pueng amamouh onae hmuen koe lengkaleng a ban awh.
56 And he repaid God [the] evil of Abimelech which he had done to father his by killing seventy brothers his.
Hot patetlah Abimelek ni hmaunawngha 70 touh a thei e hoi a na pa koe a sak e kathoute hah Cathut ni ama koe moi a pathung.
57 And all [the] evil of [the] men of Shechem he repaid God on head their and it came to them [the] curse of Jotham [the] son of Jerub-Baal.
Shekhem khonaw ni a sak e kathout hno pueng teh Cathut ni amamae lû dawk koung a pha sak. Jerubbaal capa Jotham ni thoebonae hai amamouh koe a pha.
