1 And he went Abimelech [the] son of Jerub-Baal Shechem towards to [the] brothers of mother his and he spoke to them and to all [the] clan of [the] house of [the] father of mother his saying.
Jerubbaal capa Abimelek a nupu rhoek taengah Shekhem la cet tih amih te khaw, a manu kah a napa imkhui cako boeih te a voek.
2 Speak please in [the] ears of all [the] citizens of Shechem what? [is] good for you ¿ to rule over you seventy man all [the] sons of Jerub-Baal or? to rule over you a man one and you will remember that [am] bone your and flesh your I.
Shekhem boei boeih kah a hna dongah khaw, “Jerubbaal ca rhoek hlang sawmrhih boeih loh nangmih soah a ngol ham neh hlang pakhat bueng loh nangmih soah a ngol ham te nangmih ham melae aka then bet eh? Te dongah kai khaw na rhuh na saa van ni tite poek uh,” a ti nah.
3 And they spoke [the] brothers of mother his on him in [the] ears of all [the] citizens of Shechem all the words these and it turned aside heart their after Abimelech for they said [is] brother our he.
Te olka boeih te Shekhem boei rhoek boeih kah hna dongah tah, “Anih kah a nupu pai ni,” a ti uh tih, “Anih te mah manuca ni,” a ti uh dongah Abimelek taengla a lungbuei boeih hooi uh.
4 And they gave to him seventy silver (from [the] house of Baal-*L(abh)*) Berith and he hired for them Abimelech men unprincipled and undisciplined and they went after him.
Te dongah Baalberith im lamkah tangka sawmrhih te anih a paek uh. Te nen te Abimelek loh hlang hoeng rhoek neh aka soetae rhoek te a paang tih a hnukah bang uh.
5 And he went [the] house of father his Ophrah towards and he killed brothers his [the] sons of Jerub-Baal (seventy *L(abh)*) man on stone one and he was left Jotham [the] son of Jerub-Baal young for he hid himself.
Ophrah kah a napa im la a pawk vaengah a manuca rhoek, Jerubbaal ca rhoek hlang sawmrhih te lungto pakhat dongah rhenten a ngawn. Tedae Jerubbaal capa a poeih Jotham tah thuh uh tih sueng.
6 And they gathered all [the] citizens of Shechem and all Beth Millo and they went and they made king Abimelech to king near [the] great tree set up which [was] in Shechem.
Shekhem boei rhoek boeih neh Bethmillo boeih loh a tingtun uh phoeiah cet uh tih Abimelek te Shekhem kah aka pai thingnu kaepah manghai la a manghai sakuh.
7 And people told to Jotham and he went and he stood on [the] top of [the] mountain of Gerizim and he lifted up voice his and he called out and he said to them listen to me O citizens of Shechem so he may listen to you God.
Tedae Jotham taengla a puen pa uh vaengah tah Gerizim tlang som la luei tih pai. Te phoeiah a ol a huel tih a pang doela, “Shekhem boei rhoek ka ol he hnatun uh lah te daengah ni Pathen loh nangmih ol te a hnatun eh.
8 Certainly they went the trees to anoint over them a king and they said to the olive tree (reign! *Q(k)*) over us.
Thing rhoek loh a manghai situi koelh ham cet cet uh tih olive taengah, 'Kaimih soah manghai khaw manghai mai laeh he,’ a ti nauh.
9 And it said to them the olive tree ¿ will I cease fatness my which by me people honor gods and men and will I go to sway over the trees.
Tedae amih te olive loh, “Pathen neh hlang aka thangpom ka maehhloi he ka toeng mai vetih thing rhoek soah vikvuek ham ka cet aya?' a ti nah.
10 And they said the trees to the fig tree come you reign over us.
Thing rhoek loh thaibu taengah khaw, “Namah halo lamtah kaimih soah manghai mai laeh,” a ti nauh.
11 And it said to them the fig tree ¿ will I cease sweetness my and fruit my good and will I go to sway over the trees.
Tedae amih te thaibu loh, “Ka didip neh ka thaih then he ka toeng mai vetih thing rhoek soah vikvuek ham ka cet aya? ' a ti nah.
12 And they said the trees to the vine come you (reign *Q(k)*) over us.
Misur taengah khaw thing rhoek loh, “Nang halo lamtah kaimih soah manghai khaw manghai mai laeh,’ a ti nauh.
13 And it said to them the vine ¿ will I cease new wine my which makes glad gods and men and will I go to sway over the trees.
Tedae amih te misur loh, 'Pathen neh hlang ko aka hoe sak ka misur thai te ka toeng mai vetih thing rhoek soah vikvuek ham ka cet aya?,’ a ti nah.
14 And they said all the trees to the thorn bush come you reign over us.
Thing rhoek boeih long te tangkul taengla, 'Nang halo lamtah kaimih soah manghai mai saw,’ a ti nauh.
15 And it said the thorn bush to the trees if in truth you [are] anointing me to king over you come take refuge in shade my and if not let it go out a fire from the thorn bush and let it consume [the] cedars of Lebanon.
Tangkul long tah thing rhoek taengah, 'Na oltak nen ni nangmih sokah manghai la kai n'koelh uh van atah, halo uh lamtah ka hlipkhup ah ying uh. Te pawt koinih tangkul puep lamkah hmai puek vetih Lebanon lamphai khaw a hlawp ni,” a ti nah.
16 And now if in faithfulness and in integrity you have acted and you have made king Abimelech and if good you have done with Jerub-Baal and with house his and if according to [the] dealing of hands his you have done to him.
Tahae ah oltak neh a khangmai la na saii uh tih Abimelek te na manghai sak uh coeng atah Jerubbaal ham neh a imkhui ham hnothen nim na saii uh tih a taengah a kut neh aka tiing lam nim na saii uh.
17 That he fought father my on you and he threw life his from in front and he delivered you from [the] hand of Midian.
A pa loh nangmih ham a vathoh tih a hmai ah a hinglu a voeih dongah nangmih te Midian kut lamloh n'huul.
18 And you you have risen up on [the] house of father my this day and you have killed sons his seventy man on stone one and you have made king Abimelech [the] son of female slave his over [the] citizens of Shechem for [is] brother your he.
Tedae nangmih loh tihnin ah a pa cako te na thoh thil uh tih a ca rhoek hlang sawmrhih te lungto pakhat dongah na ngawn uh. A salnu kah a ca Abimelek vik te na manuca na ti uh tih Shekhem boei rhoek soah na manghai sakuh.
19 And if in faithfulness and in integrity you have acted with Jerub-Baal and with house his the day this rejoice in Abimelech so he may rejoice also he in you.
Tihnin Jerubbaal taeng neh a cako taengah oltak neh a khangmai la na saii uh coeng atah Abimelek dongah kohoe uh lamtah anih khaw nangmih dongah a kohoe saeh.
20 And if not let it go out a fire from Abimelech and let it consume [the] citizens of Shechem and Beth Millo and let it go out a fire from [the] citizens of Shechem and from Beth Millo and let it consume Abimelech.
Abimelek lamloh hmai puek tih Shekhem boei rhoek neh Bethmillo te a hlawp pawt atah Shekhem boei rhoek neh Bethmillo lamkah hmai aka puek loh Abimelek te hlawp saeh,” a ti nah.
21 And he fled Jotham and he ran away and he went Beer towards and he dwelt there [away] from before Abimelech brother his.
Te ah kho a sak te a maya Abimelek kah mikhmuh la a om dongah Jotham loh rhaelrham tih aka yong te Beer la pawk.
22 And he ruled Abimelech over Israel three years.
Abimelek te Israel soah kum thum boei.
23 And he sent God a spirit evil between Abimelech and between [the] citizens of Shechem and they dealt treacherously [the] citizens of Shechem with Abimelech.
Tedae Pathen loh Abimelek laklo neh Shekhem boei rhoek kah laklo ah mueihla thae a tueih pah dongah Shekhem boei rhoek loh Abimelek te a hnukpoh thil uh.
24 To come [the] violence of seventy [the] sons of Jerub-Baal and blood their to put on Abimelech brother their who he killed them and on [the] citizens of Shechem who they strengthened hands his to kill brothers his.
Te tah Jerubbaal ca rhoek hlang sawmrhih te kuthlahnah a khuen thil tih a aka ngawn a manuca Abimelek so neh a manuca rhoek ngawn sak ham a kut aka thoh Shekhem boei rhoek soah a thii phu a suk ham dongah ni.
25 And they set to him [the] citizens of Shechem ambushers on [the] tops of the mountains and they robbed every [one] who he passed by on them on the road and it was told to Abimelech.
Abimelek te a moeh uh tih tlang som ah aka rhongngol Shekhem boei rhoek loh longuei ah aka pongpa boeih te a rheth uh te Abimelek taengla a puen pah.
26 And he came Gaal [the] son of Ebed and brothers his and they passed on in Shechem and they trusted in him [the] citizens of Shechem.
Te vaengah Ebed capa Gaal neh a manuca rhoek tah ha pawk tih Shekhem la a kat uh hatah Shekhem boei rhoek loh anih dongah pangtung uh.
27 And they went out the field and they gathered grapes vineyards their and they trod [them] and they made rejoicings and they went [the] house of god their and they ate and they drank and they cursed Abimelech.
Lo a pha uh vaengah misur a hoel uh tih a hoem uh dongah cangkoeinah a saii uh. Te phoeiah a pathen im la kun uh tih a caak a ok uh phoeiah Abimelek te a tap uh.
28 And he said - Gaal [the] son of Ebed who? [is] Abimelech and who? [is] Shechem that we will serve him ¿ not [is he] [the] son of Jerub-Baal and [is] Zebul? deputy his serve [the] men of Hamor [the] father of Shechem and why? will we serve him we.
Te vaengah Ebed capa Gaal loh, “Abimelek te unim, anih taengah thohtat ham khaw Shekhem te unim?, Jerubbaal capa, a hlangtawt khaw Zebul moenih a? Shekhem napa Hamor hlang rhoek taengah thotat uh. Balae tih mamih loh anih taengah n'thotat uh eh?
29 And who? will he give the people this in hand my and I will remove Abimelech and he said of Abimelech make numerous army your and come out!
Unim mah, pilnam he ka kut dongah han tloeng atah Abimelek ngawn tah ka rhoe vetih Abimelek te, “Na caempuei khaw kuk lamtah ha mop lah,’ ka ti bitni,” a ti nah.
30 And he heard Zebul [the] official of the city [the] words of Gaal [the] son of Ebed and it burned anger his.
Ebed capa Gaal ol te khopuei mangpa Zebul loh a yaak vaengah a thintoek a sai pah.
31 And he sent messengers to Abimelech in treachery saying here! Gaal [the] son of Ebed and brothers his [are] coming Shechem towards and here they [are] shutting up the city on you.
Te dongah puencawn rhoek te Abimelek taengah a huep la a tueih tih, 'Ebed capa Gaal neh a manuca rhoek loh Shekhem la ha pawk uh te, khopuei ah nang aka dum ham ni ke.
32 And therefore arise night you and the people which [is] with you and lie in wait in the field.
Te dongah namah neh namah taengkah pilnam loh khoyin ah thoo uh lamtah lohma ah ana rhongngol uh laeh.
33 And it will be in the morning when rises the sun you will rise early and you will make a raid on the city and there! he and the people which [is] with him [are] going out against you and you will do to him just as it will find hand your.
Mincang a pha tih khomik a cuk vaengah thoo uh lamtah khopuei te cuuk thil uh. Amah khaw, amah taengkah pilnam khaw nang taengla ha pawk vaengah na kut loh a tong sarhui bangla anih te saii uh,” a ti nah.
34 And he arose Abimelech and all the people which [was] with him night and they lay in wait on Shechem four companies.
Te dongah Abimelek neh a taengkah pilnam pum te khoyin ah a thoh tih Shekhem ah than li la a rhongngol uh.
35 And he went out Gaal [the] son of Ebed and he stood [the] entrance of [the] gate of the city and he arose Abimelech and the people which [was] with him from the ambush.
Te dongah Ebed capa Gaal te moe phai tih khopuei vongka kah thohka ah pai. Te vaengah Abimelek neh a pilnam te rhong lamkah ha thoo.
36 And he saw Gaal the people and he said to Zebul there! a people [is] coming down from [the] tops of the mountains and he said to him Zebul [the] shadow of the mountains you [are] seeing like men.
Pilnam te a hmuh vaengah Zebul te Gaal loh, “Pilnam loh tlang som lamkah ha suntla ke,” a ti nah. Tedae Zebul loh, “Nang khaw mah, tlang kah mueihlip maco hlang bangla na hmuh,” a ti nah.
37 And he repeated again Gaal to speak and he said there! a people [are] coming down from with [the] center of the land and a company one [is] coming from [the] direction of [the] great tree of [the] soothsayer.
Tedae Gaal loh a thui te koep a khoep tih, “Khohmuen laklung khui lamloh pilnam suntla tih kutyaek thingnu longpuei lamloh rhoi at ha thoeng ke,” a ti nah.
38 And he said to him Zebul where? then [is] mouth your O [you] who you said who? [is] Abimelech that we will serve him ¿ not [is] this the people which you rejected it go out please now and fight against him.
Te vaengah Zebul loh, “'Anih taengah thohtat ham khaw Abimelek te unim,’ na ti vaengkah na ka te tahae atah melam a om, anih he a pilnam neh na sawtsit thil moenih a? Tahae ah paan to lamtah amah ke hnuei kanoek saw,” a ti nah.
39 And he went out Gaal before [the] citizens of Shechem and he fought against Abimelech.
Te dongah Gaal tah Shekhem boei rhoek kah mikhmuh la moe phai tih Abimelek te a hnueih.
40 And he pursued him Abimelech and he fled from before him and they fell [those] fatally wounded many to [the] entrance of the gate.
Tedae anih te Abimelek loh a hloem tanglai atah a mikhmuh lamloh rhaelrham tih vongka thohka due, hmalaem la muep cungku uh.
41 And he dwelt Abimelech at Arumah and he drove out Zebul Gaal and brothers his from dwelling at Shechem.
Abimelek te Arumah ah kho a sak ngawn dae Shekhem ah kho aka sa khui lamkah Gaal neh a manuca rhoek te Zebul loh vik a haek.
42 And it was from [the] next day and it went out the people the field and people told to Abimelech.
A vuen ah om tih pilnam te pong la a caeh ham vaeng daengah Abimelek taengla a puen pauh.
43 And he took the people and he divided them into three companies and he lay in wait in the field and he saw and there! the people [was] going out from the city and he rose up on them and he struck down them.
Te dongah pilnam te a loh tih hlop thum la a boel phoeiah lohma ah a rhongngol sak. Te vaengah khopuei lamkah pilnam ha pawk te lawt a hmuh dongah amih te a pai thil tih a tloek.
44 And Abimelech and the companies which [were] with him they made a raid and they stood [the] entrance of [the] gate of the city and [the] two the companies they made a raid on all [those] who [were] in the field and they struck down them.
Te vaengah Abimelek neh a rhoi rhoek te capit uh tih khopuei vongka kah thohka te a pai thiluh. Tedae rhoi nit long te lohma kah rhoek te boeih a capit thil uh tih a tloek uh.
45 And Abimelech [was] fighting against the city all the day that and he captured the city and the people which [was] in it he killed and he pulled down the city and he sowed it salt.
Abimelek loh khohnin yung ah khopuei te a vathoh thil tih khopuei te a loh. A khuikah pilnam te khaw a ngawn tih khopuei te a palet phoeiah lungkaeh a phul thil.
46 And they heard all [the] citizens of [the] tower of Shechem and they went into [the] underground chamber of [the] house of El-Berith.
Boei kuirhang boeih loh a yaak uh vaengah Berith im kah hmuensang la ael uh.
47 And it was told to Abimelech that they had gathered together all [the] citizens of [the] tower of Shechem.
Tedae boei kuirhang rhoek loh boeih a coi uh thae te Abimelek taengla a puen pauh.
48 And he went up Abimelech [the] mountain of Zalmon he and all the people which [was] with him and he took Abimelech the axes in hand his and he cut off a branch of wood and he lifted up it and he put [it] on shoulder his and he said to the people which [was] with him whatever you have seen I have done hurry do like me.
Te dongah Abimelek loh a taengkah pilnam boeih te Zalmon tlang la a caeh puei. Te vaengah Abimelek loh a kut dongkah hai te a loh tih thing hlaeng a saih. Thing hlaeng te a thueng tih a laengpang dongah a khueh. Te phoeiah a taengkah pilnam te, “Ka saii he so uh lamtah kai bangla koe saii uh,” a ti nah.
49 And they cut off also all the people everyone own branch his and they went after Abimelech and they put [them] over the underground chamber and they set on fire over them the underground chamber with fire and they died also all [the] men of [the] tower of Shechem about a thousand man and woman.
Te dongah pilnam boeih long khaw thing hlaeng rhip a saih uh tih Abimelek hnuk a vai uh. Te phoeiah hmuensang te a hong thil uh tih hmuensang te hmai a hlup uh vaengah tah kuirhang huta tongpa hlang thawngkhat tluk boeih duek uh.
50 And he went Abimelech to Thebez and he encamped at Thebez and he captured it.
Abimelek te Thebez la cet tih a rhaeh thil phoeiah Thebez te a loh.
51 And a tower of strength it was in [the] middle of the city and they fled there towards all the men and the women and all [the] citizens of the city and they shut [the] door behind them and they went up on [the] roof of the tower.
Tedae khopuei khui ah sarhi rhaltoengim pakhat om tih huta tongpa boeih neh khopuei kah boei boeih loh te lam te rhaelrham uh tih a hnuk te malh a buk phoeiah rhaltoengim kah imphu la luei uh.
52 And he came Abimelech to the tower and he fought against it and he drew near to [the] entrance of the tower to burn it with fire.
Te phoeiah rhaltoengim te Abimelek loh a paan tih a vathoh thil. Te dongah hmai neh hoeh hamla rhaltoengim kah thohka la thoeih.
53 And she threw a woman one a mill-stone of an upper mill-stone on [the] head of Abimelech and it crushed skull his.
Tedae Abimelek kah a lu te huta pakhat loh sumngol phaklung neh a dae pah tih a luhih a po pah.
54 And he called quickly to the young man - [who] carried armor his and he said to him draw sword your and kill me lest people should say of me a woman she killed him and he pierced through him young man his and he died.
Te dongah a hnopai aka phuei camoe te koe a khue tih, “Na cunghang te bong lamtah kai he ng'ngawn to laeh, kai he, 'Huta loh a ngawn,’ ti uh ve,” a ti nah. Te dongah a camoe long te a thun tih duek.
55 And they saw [the] man of Israel that he was dead Abimelech and they went everyone to own place his.
Israel hlang loh Abimelek a duek te a hmuh uh. Te phoeiah tah hlang loh amah hmuen la cet uh.
56 And he repaid God [the] evil of Abimelech which he had done to father his by killing seventy brothers his.
Abimelek loh a napa taengah boethae a saii tih a manuca hlang sawmrhih a ngawn te Pathen loh a thuung pah.
57 And all [the] evil of [the] men of Shechem he repaid God on head their and it came to them [the] curse of Jotham [the] son of Jerub-Baal.
Shekhem hlang kah boethae boeih te khaw amamih lu dongah Pathen loh a thuung pah tih Jerubbaal capa Jotham kah rhunkhuennah te khaw amih soah tla.
