Judges 8
1 And they said to him [the] man of Ephraim what? [is] the thing this [which] you have done to us to not to summon us that you went to fight against Midian and they quarreled! with him with force.
௧அப்பொழுது எப்பிராயீம் மனிதர்கள் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ மீதியானியர்கள்மேல் யுத்தம் செய்யப்போகிறபோது, எங்களை அழைக்கவில்லையே, இப்படி நீ எங்களுக்குச் செய்தது என்ன என்று, அவனோடு கடுமையாக வாக்குவாதம்செய்தார்கள்.
2 And he said to them what? have I done now like you ¿ not good [are] [the] gleanings of Ephraim more than [the] grape harvest of Abiezer.
௨அதற்கு அவன்: நீங்கள் செய்ததற்கு நான் செய்தது எம்மாத்திரம்? அபியேஸ்ரியர்களின் திராட்சை பழத்தின் முழு அறுவடையை விட, எப்பிராயீமர்களின் மீதியான அறுவடை அதிகம் அல்லவா?
3 In hand your he has given God [the] commanders of Midian Oreb and Zeeb and what? have I been able to do like you then it relaxed spirit their from on him when said he the word this.
௩தேவன் உங்கள் கையிலே மீதியானியர்களின் அதிபதிகளாகிய ஓரேபையும் சேபையும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தாரே; நீங்கள் செய்ததிலும் நான் செய்யக்கூடியது எம்மாத்திரம் என்றான்; இந்த வார்த்தையை அவன் சொன்னபோது, அவன் மேலிருந்த அவர்களுடைய கோபம் நீங்கினது.
4 And he came Gideon the Jordan towards [was] passing over he and three hundred the man who [were] with him [were] exhausted and pursuing.
௪கிதியோன் யோர்தானுக்கு வந்தபோது, அவனும் அவனோடிருந்த முந்நூறுபேரும் அதைக் கடந்துபோய், களைப்பாக இருந்தும் (எதிரியை) பின்தொடர்ந்தார்கள்.
5 And he said to [the] people of Succoth give please round loaves of bread to the people which [is] at feet my for [are] exhausted they and I [am] pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna [the] kings of Midian.
௫அவன் சுக்கோத்தின் மனிதர்களை நோக்கி: என்னோடிருக்கிற மக்களுக்குச் சில அப்பங்களைக் கொடுங்கள்; அவர்கள் களைப்பாக இருக்கிறார்கள், நான் மீதியானியர்களின் ராஜாக்களாகிய சேபாவையும் சல்முனாவையும் பின்தொடருகிறேன் என்றான்.
6 And he said [the] officials of Succoth ¿ [is] [the] hand of Zebah and Zalmunna now in hand your that we will give to army your bread.
௬அதற்குச் சுக்கோத்தின் பிரபுக்கள்: உன் ராணுவத்திற்கு நாங்கள் அப்பம் கொடுக்கிறதற்குச் சேபா சல்முனா என்பவர்களின் கை உன்னுடைய கைவசம் வந்ததோ என்றார்கள்.
7 And he said Gideon therefore when gives Yahweh Zebah and Zalmunna in hand my and I will thresh flesh your with thorns of the wilderness and with briers.
௭அப்பொழுது கிதியோன் அவர்களை நோக்கி: யெகோவா சேபாவையும் சல்முனாவையும் என்னுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்போது, உங்கள் சரீரத்தை வனாந்திரத்தின் நெரிஞ்சில்முட்களால் கிழித்துவிடுவேன் என்று சொல்லி,
8 And he went up from there Penuel and he spoke to them like this and they answered him [the] men of Penuel just as they had answered [the] men of Succoth.
௮அவ்விடம் விட்டு, பெனூவேலுக்குப் போய், அந்த ஊர்க்காரர்களிடத்தில் அந்தப்படியே கேட்டான்; சுக்கோத்தின் மனிதர்கள் பதில் சொன்னபடியே பெனூவேலின் மனிதர்களும் அவனுக்குச் சொன்னார்கள்.
9 And he said also to [the] men of Penuel saying when return I in peace I will tear down the tower this.
௯அப்பொழுது அவன், பெனூவேலின் மனிதர்களைப் பார்த்து: நான் சமாதானத்தோடு திரும்பிவரும்போது, இந்தக் கோபுரத்தை இடித்துப்போடுவேன் என்றான்.
10 And Zebah and Zalmunna [were] in Karkor and armies their [were] with them about fif-teen thousand all those [who] remained of all [the] army of [the] people of [the] east and those [who] fell [were] one hundred and twenty thousand man [who] drew [the] sword.
௧0சேபாவும் சல்முனாவும் அவர்களோடு அவர்களுடைய படைகளும் ஏறக்குறைய 15,000 பேர் கர்கோரில் இருந்தார்கள்; பட்டயம் உருவத்தக்கவர்கள் 1,20,000 பேர் விழுந்தபடியால், கிழக்குப்பகுதி மக்கள் எல்லா ராணுவத்திலும் இவர்கள் மட்டும் மீதியாக இருந்தார்கள்.
11 And he went up Gideon [the] way of those [who] dwell in tents from [the] east of Nobah and Jogbehah and he attacked the army and the army it was security.
௧௧கிதியோன் கூடாரங்களில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்கள் வழியாக நோபாகுக்கும், யொகிபெயாவுக்கும் கிழக்கில் போய், அந்த ராணுவம் பயமில்லை என்று இருந்தபோது, அதை முறியடித்தான்.
12 And they fled Zebah and Zalmunna and he pursued after them and he captured [the] two - [the] kings of Midian Zebah and Zalmunna and all the army he routed.
௧௨சேபாவும் சல்முனாவும் ஓடிப்போனார்கள்; அவனோ அவர்களைத் தொடர்ந்து, சேபா சல்முனா என்னும் மீதியானியர்களின் இரண்டு ராஜாக்களையும் பிடித்து, ராணுவம் முழுவதையும் கலங்கடித்தான்.
13 And he returned Gideon [the] son of Joash from the battle from to [the] ascent of Heres.
௧௩யோவாசின் மகனான கிதியோன் யுத்தம்செய்து, சூரியன் உதிக்கும் முன்னே திரும்பிவந்தபோது,
14 And he captured a young man one of [the] men of Succoth and he enquired of him and he wrote down to him [the] officials of Succoth and elders its seventy and seven man.
௧௪சுக்கோத்தின் மனிதர்களில் ஒரு வாலிபனைப் பிடித்து, அவனிடத்தில் விசாரித்தான்; அவன் சுக்கோத்தின் பிரபுக்களும் அதின் மூப்பர்களுமாகிய 77 மனிதர்களின் பேரை அவனுக்கு எழுதிக்கொடுத்தான்.
15 And he came to [the] men of Succoth and he said here! Zebah and Zalmunna whom you taunted me saying ¿ [is] [the] hand of Zebah and Zalmunna now in hand your that we will give to men your weary bread.
௧௫அவன் சுக்கோத்து ஊர்க்காரர்களிடத்தில் வந்து: இதோ, களைத்திருக்கிற உன் மனிதர்களுக்கு நாங்கள் அப்பம் கொடுக்கிறதற்குச் சேபா சல்முனா என்பவர்களின் கை உன்னுடைய கைவசம் வந்ததோ என்று நீங்கள் என்னை நிந்தித்துச் சொன்ன சேபாவும் சல்முனாவும் இங்கே இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று சொல்லி,
16 And he took [the] elders of the city and [the] thorns of the wilderness and the briers and he taught with them [the] men of Succoth.
௧௬பட்டணத்தின் மூப்பரைப் பிடித்து, வனாந்தரத்தின் நெரிஞ்சில்முட்களை கொண்டுவந்து, அவைகளால் சுக்கோத்தின் மனிதர்களுக்குப் புத்திவரச்செய்து,
17 And [the] tower of Penuel he tore down and he killed [the] men of the city.
௧௭பெனூவேலின் கோபுரத்தை இடித்து, அந்த ஊர் மனிதர்களையும் கொன்றுபோட்டான்.
18 And he said to Zebah and to Zalmunna where? [are] the men whom you killed at Tabor (and they said *L(abh)*) like you like them one [was] like [the] appearance of [the] sons of the king.
௧௮பின்பு அவன் சேபாவையும் சல்முனாவையும் நோக்கி: நீங்கள் தாபோரிலே கொன்றுபோட்ட அந்த மனிதர்கள் எப்படிப்பட்டவர்கள் என்று கேட்டான்; அதற்கு அவர்கள்: நீர் எப்படிப்பட்டவரோ அவர்களும் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களே; ஒவ்வொருவனும் பார்வைக்கு ராஜகுமாரனைப்போல் இருந்தான் என்றார்கள்.
19 And he said [were] brothers my [the] sons of mother my they [by] [the] life of Yahweh if you had let live them not I killed you.
௧௯அப்பொழுது அவன்: அவர்கள் என்னுடைய சகோதரர்களும் என்னுடைய தாயின் பிள்ளைகளுமாக இருந்தார்கள்; அவர்களை உயிரோடே வைத்திருந்தீர்களானால். உங்களைக் கொல்லாதிருப்பேன் என்று யெகோவாவின் ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று சொல்லி,
20 And he said to Jether firstborn his arise kill them and not he drew the young man sword his for he was afraid for still he [was] a young man.
௨0தன்னுடைய மூத்தமகனான யெத்தேரை நோக்கி: நீ எழுந்து, இவர்களை வெட்டிப்போடு என்றான்; அந்த வாலிபன் தான் இளைஞனானபடியால் பயந்து தன்னுடைய பட்டயத்தை உருவாமல் இருந்தான்.
21 And he said Zebah and Zalmunna arise you and fall on us for [is] like the man strength his and he arose Gideon and he killed Zebah and Zalmunna and he took the ornaments which [were] on [the] necks of camels their.
௨௧அப்பொழுது சேபாவும் சல்முனாவும்: நீரே எழுந்து எங்களைக் கொல்லும்; மனிதன் எப்படியோ அப்படியே அவன் பெலனும் இருக்கும் என்றார்கள்; கிதியோன் எழுந்து, சேபாவையும் சல்முனாவையும் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவர்கள் ஒட்டகங்களின் கழுத்துகளில் இருந்த பொன்னால் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட பிறை வடிவமான ஆபரணங்களை எடுத்துக்கொண்டான்.
22 And they said [the] man of Israel to Gideon rule over us both you as well as son your as well as [the] son of son your for you have delivered us from [the] hand of Midian.
௨௨அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் மனிதர்கள் கிதியோனை நோக்கி: நீர் எங்களை மீதியானியர்கள் கைக்கு தப்புவித்தபடியால் நீரும் உம்முடைய மகனும், உம்முடைய மகனின் மகனும், எங்களை ஆண்டுகொள்ளக்கடவீர்கள் என்றார்கள்.
23 And he said to them Gideon not I will rule I over you and not he will rule son my over you Yahweh he will rule over you.
௨௩அதற்குக் கிதியோன்: நான் உங்களை ஆளமாட்டேன்; என்னுடைய மகனும் உங்களை ஆளமாட்டான்; யெகோவாவே உங்களை ஆளுவாராக என்றான்.
24 And he said to them Gideon let me ask from you a petition and give to me everyone earring of plunder his for earrings of gold [belonged] to them for [were] Ishmaelites they.
௨௪பின்பு கிதியோன் அவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்களிடத்தில் ஒரு காரியத்தைக் கேட்கிறேன்; நீங்கள் அவரவர் கொள்ளையிட்ட கடுக்கன்களை என்னிடத்தில் கொண்டுவாருங்கள் என்றான். அவர்கள் இஸ்மவேலர்களாக இருந்தபடியால் அவர்களிடத்தில் பொன்கடுக்கன்கள் இருந்தது.
25 And they said certainly we will give [them] and they spread out the garment and they threw there towards everyone earring of plunder his.
௨௫இஸ்ரவேலர்கள்: சந்தோஷமாகக் கொடுப்போம் என்று சொல்லி, ஒரு துணியை விரித்து, அவரவர் கொள்ளையிட்ட கடுக்கன்களை அதிலே போட்டார்கள்.
26 And it was [the] weight of [the] earrings of gold which he asked for one thousand and seven hundred gold apart from the ornaments and the pendants and [the] garments of purple that [were] on [the] kings of Midian and apart from the necklaces which [were] on [the] necks of camels their.
௨௬பிறை வடிவிலான ஆபரணங்களும், ஆரங்களும், மீதியானியர்களின் ராஜாக்கள் போர்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்த விலையுயர்ந்த ஊதா நிற ஆடைகளும், அவர்களுடைய ஒட்டகங்களின் கழுத்துகளிலிருந்த சங்கலிகளும் அல்லாமல், அவன் கேட்டு வாங்கின பொன்கடுக்கன்களின் நிறை ஆயிரத்து எழுநூறு பொன் சேக்கலின் நிறையாக இருந்தது.
27 And he made it Gideon into an ephod and he placed it in city his in Ophrah and they acted as prostitutes all Israel after it there and it became for Gideon and for household his a snare.
௨௭அதினால் கிதியோன் ஒரு ஏபோத்தை உண்டாக்கி, அதைத் தன்னுடைய ஊரான ஒப்ராவிலே வைத்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் எல்லோரும் அதைத் தொழுதுகொண்டதால் விபசாரம் செய்தவர்களானார்கள்; அது கிதியோனுக்கும் அவன் வீட்டாருக்கும் கண்ணியானது.
28 And it was subdued Midian before [the] people of Israel and not they repeated to lift up head their and it was at peace the land forty year[s] in [the] days of Gideon.
௨௮இப்படியாக மீதியானியர்கள் திரும்ப தலை தூக்காதபடி, இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டார்கள்; தேசமானது கிதியோனின் நாட்களில் 40 வருடங்கள் அமைதியாக இருந்தது.
29 And he went Jerub-Baal [the] son of Joash and he dwelt in own house his.
௨௯யோவாசின் மகனான யெருபாகால் (கிதியோனின் மற்றொரு பெயர்) போய், தன்னுடைய வீட்டிலே வாழ்ந்து வந்தான்.
30 And to Gideon they belonged seventy sons [who] came out of thigh his for wives many they belonged to him.
௩0கிதியோனுக்கு அநேகம் மனைவிகள் இருந்தார்கள்; அவனுடைய கர்ப்பப்பிறப்பான மகன்கள் எழுபதுபேர்.
31 And concubine his who [was] in Shechem she bore to him also she a son and he made name his Abimelech.
௩௧சீகேமிலிருந்த அவனுடைய மறுமனையாட்டியும் அவனுக்கு ஒரு மகனைப்பெற்றாள்; அவனுக்கு அபிமெலேக்கு என்று பெயரிட்டான்.
32 And he died Gideon [the] son of Joash in old age good and he was buried in [the] tomb of Joash father his in Ophrah of [the] Abi-ezrite[s].
௩௨பின்பு யோவாசின் மகனான கிதியோன் நல்ல முதிர்வயதிலே இறந்து, ஒப்ராவிலே தன்னுடைய தகப்பனான யோவாஸ் என்னும் அபியேஸ்ரியனுடைய கல்லறையில் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான்.
33 And it was just when he had died Gideon and they turned back [the] people of Israel and they acted as prostitutes after the Baals and they made for themselves Baal-Berith into god.
௩௩கிதியோன் இறந்தபின்பு இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் திரும்பவும் பாகால்களைத் தொழுதுகொண்டதால் விபசாரம் செய்தவர்களாகி, பாகால்பேரீத்தைத் தங்களுக்கு தேவனாக வைத்துக்கொண்டார்கள்.
34 And not they remembered [the] people of Israel Yahweh God their who delivered them from [the] hand of all enemies their from round about.
௩௪இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் தங்களைச் சுற்றிலுமிருந்த தங்கள் எல்லா எதிரிகளின் கைகளிலிருந்தும் தங்களை இரட்சித்த தங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவை நினைக்காமலும்,
35 And not they did loyalty with [the] house of Jerub-Baal Gideon according to all the good which he had done with Israel.
௩௫கிதியோன் என்னும் யெருபாகால் இஸ்ரவேலுக்குச் செய்த எல்லா நன்மைகளுக்குத்தகுந்த தயவை அவன் வீட்டாருக்குப் பாராட்டாமலும் போனார்கள்.
