Judges 8
1 And they said to him [the] man of Ephraim what? [is] the thing this [which] you have done to us to not to summon us that you went to fight against Midian and they quarreled! with him with force.
| اما رهبران قبیلهٔ افرایم به شدت نسبت به جدعون خشمناک شده، گفتند: «چرا وقتی به جنگ مدیانی‌ها رفتی ما را خبر نکردی؟» |
2 And he said to them what? have I done now like you ¿ not good [are] [the] gleanings of Ephraim more than [the] grape harvest of Abiezer.
| جدعون در جواب ایشان گفت: «در مقایسه با کار شما، من چه کرده‌ام؟ آیا انگورهای افرایم که روی زمین باقی مانده‌اند بهتر از حصاد انگور اَبیعزر نیست؟ |
3 In hand your he has given God [the] commanders of Midian Oreb and Zeeb and what? have I been able to do like you then it relaxed spirit their from on him when said he the word this.
| خدا غراب و ذئب، سرداران مدیان را به دست شما تسلیم نمود. عملیات شما در آخر جنگ مهمتر از عملیات ما در آغاز جنگ بود.» پس آنها آرام شدند. |
4 And he came Gideon the Jordan towards [was] passing over he and three hundred the man who [were] with him [were] exhausted and pursuing.
| آنگاه جدعون و سیصد نفری که همراهش بودند از رود اردن گذشتند. با اینکه خیلی خسته بودند، ولی هنوز دشمن را تعقیب می‌کردند. |
5 And he said to [the] people of Succoth give please round loaves of bread to the people which [is] at feet my for [are] exhausted they and I [am] pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna [the] kings of Midian.
| جدعون از اهالی سوکوت غذا خواست و گفت: «ما به خاطر تعقیب زبح و صلمونع، پادشاهان مدیانی بسیار خسته هستیم.» |
6 And he said [the] officials of Succoth ¿ [is] [the] hand of Zebah and Zalmunna now in hand your that we will give to army your bread.
| اما رهبران سوکوت جواب دادند: «شما هنوز زبح و صلمونع را نگرفته‌اید که ما به شما نان بدهیم.» |
7 And he said Gideon therefore when gives Yahweh Zebah and Zalmunna in hand my and I will thresh flesh your with thorns of the wilderness and with briers.
| جدعون به آنها گفت: «وقتی که خداوند زبح و صلمونع را به دست من تسلیم کند، برمی‌گردم و گوشت بدن شما را با خارهای صحرا می‌درم.» |
8 And he went up from there Penuel and he spoke to them like this and they answered him [the] men of Penuel just as they had answered [the] men of Succoth.
| سپس نزد اهالی فنوئیل رفت و از آنها نان خواست اما همان جواب اهالی سوکوت را شنید. |
9 And he said also to [the] men of Penuel saying when return I in peace I will tear down the tower this.
| پس به ایشان گفت: «وقتی از این جنگ سلامت برگردم، این برج را منهدم خواهم کرد.» |
10 And Zebah and Zalmunna [were] in Karkor and armies their [were] with them about fif-teen thousand all those [who] remained of all [the] army of [the] people of [the] east and those [who] fell [were] one hundred and twenty thousand man [who] drew [the] sword.
| در این هنگام زبح و صلمونع با قریب پانزده هزار سرباز باقیمانده در قرقور به سر می‌بردند. از آن سپاه عظیم دشمنان فقط همین عده باقیمانده بودند. صد و بیست هزار نفر کشته شده بودند. |
11 And he went up Gideon [the] way of those [who] dwell in tents from [the] east of Nobah and Jogbehah and he attacked the army and the army it was security.
| پس جدعون از راه چادرنشینان در شرق نوبح و یجبهاه بر مدیانیان شبیخون زد. |
12 And they fled Zebah and Zalmunna and he pursued after them and he captured [the] two - [the] kings of Midian Zebah and Zalmunna and all the army he routed.
| زبح و صلمونع فرار کردند، اما جدعون به تعقیب آنها پرداخته، ایشان را گرفت و سپاه آنها را به کلی تار و مار ساخت. |
13 And he returned Gideon [the] son of Joash from the battle from to [the] ascent of Heres.
| بعد از آن، وقتی جدعون از راه گردنهٔ حارس از جنگ بازمی‌گشت |
14 And he captured a young man one of [the] men of Succoth and he enquired of him and he wrote down to him [the] officials of Succoth and elders its seventy and seven man.
| در راه، جوانی از اهالی سوکوت را گرفت و از او خواست تا نامهای رهبران و بزرگان شهر سوکوت را بنویسد. او هم نامهای آنها را که هفتاد و هفت نفر بودند، نوشت. |
15 And he came to [the] men of Succoth and he said here! Zebah and Zalmunna whom you taunted me saying ¿ [is] [the] hand of Zebah and Zalmunna now in hand your that we will give to men your weary bread.
| پس جدعون نزد اهالی سوکوت بازگشته، به ایشان گفت: «این هم زبح و صلمونع که به من طعنه زده، گفتید: شما که هنوز زبح و صلمونع را نگرفته‌اید؛ و به ما که خسته و گرسنه بودیم نان ندادید.» |
16 And he took [the] elders of the city and [the] thorns of the wilderness and the briers and he taught with them [the] men of Succoth.
| آنگاه رهبران سوکوت را با خارهای صحرا مجازات کرد تا درس عبرتی برای اهالی آن شهر باشد. |
17 And [the] tower of Penuel he tore down and he killed [the] men of the city.
| همچنین به فنوئیل رفت و برج شهر را خراب کرده، تمام مردان آنجا را کشت. |
18 And he said to Zebah and to Zalmunna where? [are] the men whom you killed at Tabor (and they said *L(abh)*) like you like them one [was] like [the] appearance of [the] sons of the king.
| آنگاه جدعون رو به زبح و صلمونع کرده، از ایشان پرسید: «مردانی را که در تابور کشتید چه کسانی بودند؟» گفتند: «مانند شما و چون شاهزادگان بودند.» |
19 And he said [were] brothers my [the] sons of mother my they [by] [the] life of Yahweh if you had let live them not I killed you.
| جدعون گفت: «آنها برادران من بودند. به خداوند زنده قسم اگر آنها را نمی‌کشتید، من هم شما را نمی‌کشتم.» |
20 And he said to Jether firstborn his arise kill them and not he drew the young man sword his for he was afraid for still he [was] a young man.
| آنگاه به یَتَر، پسر بزرگش دستور داد که آنها را بکشد. ولی او شمشیرش را نکشید، زیرا نوجوانی بیش نبود و می‌ترسید. |
21 And he said Zebah and Zalmunna arise you and fall on us for [is] like the man strength his and he arose Gideon and he killed Zebah and Zalmunna and he took the ornaments which [were] on [the] necks of camels their.
| زبح و صلمونع به جدعون گفتند: «خودت ما را بکش، چون می‌خواهیم به دست یک مرد کشته شویم.» پس او آنها را کشت و زیورآلات گردن شترهایشان را برداشت. |
22 And they said [the] man of Israel to Gideon rule over us both you as well as son your as well as [the] son of son your for you have delivered us from [the] hand of Midian.
| اسرائیلی‌ها به جدعون گفتند: «پادشاه ما باش. تو و پسرانت و نسلهای آیندهٔ شما بر ما فرمانروایی کنید؛ زیرا تو ما را از دست مدیانی‌ها رهایی بخشیدی.» |
23 And he said to them Gideon not I will rule I over you and not he will rule son my over you Yahweh he will rule over you.
| اما جدعون جواب داد: «نه من پادشاه شما می‌شوم و نه پسرانم. خداوند پادشاه شماست! من فقط یک خواهش از شما دارم، تمام گوشواره‌هایی را که از دشمنان مغلوب خود به چنگ آورده‌اید به من بدهید.» (سپاهیان مدیان همه اسماعیلی بودند و گوشواره‌های طلا به گوش داشتند.) |
24 And he said to them Gideon let me ask from you a petition and give to me everyone earring of plunder his for earrings of gold [belonged] to them for [were] Ishmaelites they.
25 And they said certainly we will give [them] and they spread out the garment and they threw there towards everyone earring of plunder his.
| آنها گفتند: «با کمال میل آنها را تقدیم می‌کنیم.» آنگاه پارچه‌ای پهن کرده، هر کدام از آنها گوشواره‌هایی را که به غنیمت گرفته بود روی آن انداخت. |
26 And it was [the] weight of [the] earrings of gold which he asked for one thousand and seven hundred gold apart from the ornaments and the pendants and [the] garments of purple that [were] on [the] kings of Midian and apart from the necklaces which [were] on [the] necks of camels their.
| به غیر از زیورآلات، آویزها و لباسهای سلطنتی و زنجیرهای گردن شتران، وزن گوشواره‌ها حدود بیست کیلوگرم بود. |
27 And he made it Gideon into an ephod and he placed it in city his in Ophrah and they acted as prostitutes all Israel after it there and it became for Gideon and for household his a snare.
| جدعون از این طلاها یک ایفود ساخت و آن را در شهر خود عفره گذاشت. طولی نکشید که تمام مردم اسرائیل به خدا خیانت کرده، به پرستش آن پرداختند. این ایفود برای جدعون و خاندان او دامی شد. |
28 And it was subdued Midian before [the] people of Israel and not they repeated to lift up head their and it was at peace the land forty year[s] in [the] days of Gideon.
| به این ترتیب، مدیانی‌ها از اسرائیلی‌ها شکست خوردند و دیگر هرگز قدرت خود را باز نیافتند. در سرزمین اسرائیل مدت چهل سال یعنی در تمام طول عمر جدعون صلح برقرار شد. |
29 And he went Jerub-Baal [the] son of Joash and he dwelt in own house his.
| جدعون به خانهٔ خود بازگشت. |
30 And to Gideon they belonged seventy sons [who] came out of thigh his for wives many they belonged to him.
| او صاحب هفتاد پسر بود، زیرا زنان زیادی داشت. |
31 And concubine his who [was] in Shechem she bore to him also she a son and he made name his Abimelech.
| وی همچنین در شکیم کنیزی داشت که برایش پسری به دنیا آورد و او را ابیملک نام نهاد. |
32 And he died Gideon [the] son of Joash in old age good and he was buried in [the] tomb of Joash father his in Ophrah of [the] Abi-ezrite[s].
| جدعون در کمال پیری درگذشت و او را در مقبرهٔ پدرش یوآش در عفره در سرزمین طایفهٔ ابیعزر دفن کردند. |
33 And it was just when he had died Gideon and they turned back [the] people of Israel and they acted as prostitutes after the Baals and they made for themselves Baal-Berith into god.
| پس از مرگ جدعون، اسرائیلی‌ها دوباره از خدا برگشتند و به پرستش بتها پرداخته، بت بعل‌بریت را خدای خود ساختند. |
34 And not they remembered [the] people of Israel Yahweh God their who delivered them from [the] hand of all enemies their from round about.
| آنها خداوند، خدای خود را که ایشان را از دست دشمنان اطرافشان رهانیده بود فراموش کردند، |
35 And not they did loyalty with [the] house of Jerub-Baal Gideon according to all the good which he had done with Israel.
| و نیز برای خاندان جدعون، که آن همه به آنها خدمت کرده بود احترامی قائل نشدند. |
