Judges 7
1 And he rose early Jerub-Baal that [is] Gideon and all the people which [was] with him and they encamped at En Harod and [the] camp of Midian it was of him from [the] north from [the] hill of Moreh in the valley.
Da stod Jerub-Baal, det er Gideon, tidlig op, og alt Folket, som var med ham, og de lejrede sig ved Kilden Harod; og Midians Lejr var Norden for ham bag Højen More, i Dalen.
2 And he said Yahweh to Gideon [is too] numerous the people which [is] with you than to give I Midian in hand their lest it should glorify itself over me Israel saying hand my it has delivered me.
Og Herren sagde til Gideon: Folket, som er med dig, er flere, end at jeg skulde give Midianiterne i deres Haand, at Israel ikke skal rose sig mod mig og sige: Min Haand har frelst mig.
3 And therefore proclaim please in [the] ears of the people saying who? [is] fearful and trembling let him go back and he may go from [the] mountain of Gilead and it returned of the people twenty and two thousand and ten thousand they remained.
Saa udraab nu dog for Folkets Øren og sig: Hvo er frygtagtig og forskrækket? han vende tilbage og skynde sig aarle fra Gileads Bjerg; da vendte to og tyve Tusinde af Folket tilbage, og ti Tusinde bleve tilovers.
4 And he said Yahweh to Gideon still the people [is] numerous bring down them to the water so I may test it for you there and it will be [the one] whom I will say to you this [one] - he will go with you he he will go with you and every [one] whom I will say to you this [one] not he will go with you he not he will go.
Og Herren sagde til Gideon: Folket er endnu for mange, før dem ned til Vandet, saa vil jeg der prøve det for dig; og det skal ske, den, om hvem jeg siger til dig: Denne skal gaa med dig, han skal gaa med dig; men hver den, om hvem jeg siger til dig: Denne skal ikke gaa med dig, han skal ikke gaa.
5 And he brought down the people to the water. And he said Yahweh to Gideon every [one] who he will lap up with tongue his some of the water just as it laps up the dog you will set him alone and every [one] who he will bow down on knees his to drink.
Og han førte Folket ned til Vandet, og Herren sagde til Gideon: Hver, som laber med sin Tunge af Vandet, som Hunden laber, ham skal du stille for sig, saa og hver, som bøjer sig paa sine Knæ at drikke.
6 And it was [the] number of those [who] lapped with hand their to mouth their three hundred man and all [the] remainder of the people they bowed down on knees their to drink water.
Da var deres Tal, som havde labet af deres Haand til deres Mund, tre Hundrede Mænd; og det øvrige Folk alt sammen bøjede sig paa deres Knæ at drikke Vand.
7 And he said Yahweh to Gideon by three hundred the man who lapped I will deliver you and I will give Midian in hand your and all the people let them go each to own place his.
Og Herren sagde til Gideon: Med de tre Hundrede Mænd, de som have labet, vil jeg frelse eder og give Midianiterne i din Haand; men alt det andet Folk maa gaa hver til sit Sted.
8 And they took provision[s] the people in hand their and trumpets their and every man of Israel he sent away each to tents his and on three hundred the man he kept hold and [the] camp of Midian it was to him from under in the valley.
Og Folket tog Tæring med sig og deres Trompeter, men de andre Israeliter lod han alle fare, hver til sit Telt, og han beholdt de tre Hundrede Mænd hos sig, og Midianiternes Lejr var neden for ham i Dalen.
9 And it was in the night that and he said to him Yahweh arise go down in the camp for I have given it in hand your.
Og det skete i den samme Nat, at Herren sagde til ham: Staa op, gak ned mod Lejren; thi jeg har givet den i din Haand.
10 And if [are] afraid you to go down go down you and Purah servant your to the camp.
Men om du frygter for at gaa ned, da gaa du og Pura, din Dreng, ned til Lejren.
11 And you will hear what? will they speak and after they will be strong hands your and you will go down in the camp and he went down he and Purah servant his to [the] edge of those arrayed for battle who [were] in the camp.
Og du skal høre, hvad de tale, og derefter skulle dine Hænder blive styrkede, og du skal drage ned mod Lejren; og han gik ned, han og Pura, hans Dreng, til det yderste af de bevæbnede, som vare i Lejren.
12 And Midian and Amalek and all [the] people of [the] east [were] lying in the valley like locust[s] for multitude and [belonged] to camels their not number like the sand that [is] on [the] shore of the sea for multitude.
Og Midianiterne og Amalekiterne og alle Folk af Østen havde lagt sig ned i Dalen, som Græshopper i Mangfoldighed; og deres Kameler vare utallige som Sandet, der er paa Havets Bred, i Mangfoldighed.
13 And he came Gideon and there! a man [was] recounting to neighbor his a dream and he said here! a dream I have dreamed and there! (a round loaf of *Q(K)*) bread of barley [was] tumbling in [the] camp of Midian and it came to the tent and it struck it and it fell and it overturned it upwards and it fell the tent.
Og Gideon kom, og se, da fortalte en Mand sin Næste en Drøm, og han sagde: Se, jeg drømte en Drøm, og se, et askebagt Bygbrød vendte sig hid og did i Midianiternes Lejr; og der det kom til Teltet, da slog det derpaa, saa at det faldt, og det kastede det over Ende, og Teltet faldt.
14 And he answered neighbor his and he said not this [is] except [the] sword of Gideon [the] son of Joash a man of Israel he has given God in hand his Midian and all the army.
Da svarede den anden og sagde: Det er intet andet end Gideons, den israelitiske Mands, Joas' Søns, Sværd; Gud har givet Midianiterne og den ganske Lejr i hans Haand.
15 And it was when heard Gideon [the] recounting of the dream and interpretation its and he bowed down and he returned to [the] camp of Israel and he said arise for he has given Yahweh in hand your [the] camp of Midian.
Og det skete, der Gideon hørte Fortællingen og Udlæggelsen af Drømmen, da tilbad han; og han vendte tilbage til Israels Lejr og sagde: Staar op, thi Herren har givet Midianiternes Lejr i eders Haand.
16 And he divided three hundred the man three companies and he put trumpets in [the] hand of all of them and jars empty and torches in [the] midst of the jars.
Og han delte de tre Hundrede Mænd i tre Hobe; og han gav dem alle Trompeter i deres Haand og tomme Krukker og Blus midt udi Krukkerne.
17 And he said to them from me you will see and thus you will do and here! I [will be] coming in [the] edge of the camp and it will be just as I will do so you will do!
Og han sagde til dem: I skulle se paa mig, og saaledes skulle I gøre; og se, naar jeg kommer til det yderste af Lejren, da skal det ske, at ligesom jeg vil gøre, saa skulle I gøre.
18 And I will give a blast on the trumpet I and all who [are] with me and you will give a blast on the trumpets also you all around all the camp and you will say for Yahweh and for Gideon.
Og naar jeg blæser i Trompeten, jeg og hver, som er med mig, da skulle I ogsaa blæse i Trompeterne trindt omkring den ganske Lejr og sige: For Herren og for Gideon!
19 And he went Gideon and one hundred man who [were] with him in [the] edge of the camp [the] beginning of the watch middle just as certainly they had stationed the watchmen and they gave a blast on the trumpets and they smashed the jars which [were] in hand their.
Saa kom Gideon og de hundrede Mænd, som vare med ham, til det yderste af Lejren i den midterste Vagts Begyndelse, de havde lige sat Vagten ud; og de blæste i Trompeterne og søndersloge Krukkerne, som vare i deres Haand.
20 And they gave a blast [the] three the companies on the trumpets and they broke the jars and they took hold in [the] hand of left their on the torches and in [the] hand of right their the trumpets to give a blast and they called out a sword for Yahweh and for Gideon.
Saa blæste de tre Hobe i Trompeterne og sønderbrøde Krukkerne, men de holdt Blussene fast i deres venstre Haand og Trompeterne i deres højre Haand til at blæse udi, og de raabte: Sværd for Herren og for Gideon!
21 And they stood everyone in place his round about the camp and it ran all the army and they shouted in distress (and they fled. *Q(K)*)
Og de stode hver paa sit Sted omkring Lejren; da løb den ganske Lejr, og de skrege og flyede.
22 And they gave a blast [the] three hundred the trumpets and he set Yahweh [the] sword of each on neighbor his and on all the army and it fled the army to Beth Shittah towards Zererah to [the] border of Abel Meholah at Tabbath.
Og de blæste i de tre Hundrede Trompeter, og Herren satte den enes Sværd imod den anden og imod den ganske Lejr; og Lejren flyede til Beth-Sitta til Zerera, indtil Grænsen af Abel Mehola ved Tabbath.
23 And it was summoned [the] man of Israel from Naphtali and from Asher and from all Manasseh and they pursued after Midian.
Og Israels Mænd af Nafthali og af Aser og af hele Manasse bleve opbudne; og de forfulgte Midianiterne.
24 And messengers he sent Gideon in all [the] hill country of Ephraim saying come down to meet Midian and capture to them the waters to Beth Barah and the Jordan and he was summoned every man of Ephraim and they captured the waters to Beth Barah and the Jordan.
Og Gideon sendte Bud paa det ganske Efraims Bjerg og lod sige: Kommer ned imod Midianiterne og besætter Vandene for dem indtil Beth-Bara, og Jordanen; da blev opbudet hver Mand i Efraim, og de besatte Vandene indtil Beth-Bara og Jordanen.
25 And they captured [the] two [the] commanders of Midian Oreb and Zeeb and they killed Oreb at [the] rock of Oreb and Zeeb they killed at [the] winepress of Zeeb and they pursued Midian and [the] head of Oreb and Zeeb they brought to Gideon from [the] other side of the Jordan.
Og de grebe to af Midianiternes Fyrster, Oreb og Seeb, og de dræbte Oreb paa Klippen Oreb, og Seeb dræbte de i Vinpersen Seeb, og de forfulgte Midianiterne; og de førte Orebs og Seebs Hoveder til Gideon hinsides Jordanen.
