Judges 6
1 And they did [the] people of Israel the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh and he gave them Yahweh in [the] hand of Midian seven years.
Thế rồi, người Ít-ra-ên lại phạm tội với Chúa Hằng Hữu. Ngài cho người Ma-đi-an hành hạ họ trong bảy năm.
2 And it prevailed [the] hand of Midian over Israel because of Midian they made for themselves - [the] people of Israel the dens which [are] in the mountains and the caves and the strongholds.
Thế lực người Ma-đi-an mạnh quá, nên người Ít-ra-ên phải vào sống trong núi, trong hang, và những nơi kiên cố.
3 And it was if it sowed Israel and it went up Midian and Amalek and [the] people of [the] east and they went up on him.
Khi người Ít-ra-ên đi ra gieo giống, người Ma-đi-an, người A-ma-léc, và các dân ở miền đông kéo lên tấn công.
4 And they encamped on them and they destroyed [the] produce of the land until coming you Gaza and not they left sustenance in Israel and a sheep and an ox and a donkey.
Chúng đóng quân ngay tại địa phương và phá hủy mùa màng đến tận Ga-xa, không chừa cho người Ít-ra-ên gì cả, dù lương thực hay súc vật.
5 For they and livestock their they came up and tents their (and they came *Q(K)*) according to [the] abundance of locust[s] for multitude and [belonged] to them and to camels their not number and they came in the land to destroy it.
Các dân ấy kéo đến nhiều như châu chấu, mang theo lều trại, bò, ngựa, lạc đà, tàn phá nơi nào họ đi qua.
6 And it became low Israel very because of Midian and they cried out [the] people of Israel to Yahweh.
Người Ít-ra-ên bị người Ma-đi-an bóc lột đến cùng cực, nên họ kêu xin Chúa Hằng Hữu cứu giúp.
7 And it was that they cried out [the] people of Israel to Yahweh on [the] causes of Midian.
Vì người Ít-ra-ên kêu cầu Chúa Hằng Hữu về việc người Ma-đi-an,
8 And he sent Yahweh a man a prophet to [the] people of Israel and he said to them thus he says Yahweh - [the] God of Israel I I brought up you from Egypt and I brought out you from a house of slaves.
nên Chúa Hằng Hữu sai một tiên tri đến, bảo người Ít-ra-ên: “Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên, phán: Ta đã giải cứu các ngươi khỏi ách nô lệ Ai Cập.
9 And I delivered you from [the] hand of Egypt and from [the] hand of all [those who] oppressed you and I drove out them from before you and I gave! to you land their.
Ta đã giải cứu các ngươi khỏi thế lực người Ai Cập, cũng như các dân tộc từng áp bức các ngươi, đuổi quân thù đi và cho các ngươi đất của họ.
10 And I said! to you I [am] Yahweh God your not you must fear [the] gods of the Amorite[s] whom you [are] dwelling in land their and not you have listened to voice my.
Ta đã bảo các ngươi rằng Ta là Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời các ngươi. Các ngươi không được thờ kính các thần của thổ người A-mô-rít, nhưng các ngươi không nghe lời Ta.”
11 And he came [the] angel of Yahweh and he sat under the oak which [was] in Ophrah which [belonged] to Joash [the] Abi-ezrite and Gideon son his [was] beating out wheat in the winepress to hide [it] from Midian.
Một hôm, thiên sứ của Chúa Hằng Hữu đến ngồi dưới cây sồi ở Óp-ra, trong đất của Giô-ách, người A-bi-ê-xe. Con của Giô-ách là Ghi-đê-ôn đang đập lúa trong hầm ép rượu để tránh người Ma-đi-an.
12 And he appeared to him [the] angel of Yahweh and he said to him Yahweh [is] with you O mighty [man] of strength.
Thiên sứ của Chúa hiện ra, nói với Ghi-đê-ôn: “Hỡi dũng sĩ, Chúa Hằng Hữu ở với ngươi!”
13 And he said to him Gideon pardon me O lord my and there Yahweh [is] with us and why? has it found us all this and where? [are] all wonders his which they recounted to us fathers our saying ¿ not from Egypt did he bring up us Yahweh and now he has abandoned us Yahweh and he has given us in [the] hand of Midian.
Ghi-đê-ôn thưa: “Nếu Chúa Hằng Hữu ở với chúng tôi, tại sao những việc này xảy ra được? Cha ông chúng tôi vẫn thường kể lại các công việc phi thường Chúa Hằng Hữu làm khi đem Ít-ra-ên ra khỏi Ai Cập, nay chúng tôi có thấy gì đâu? Ngày nay Chúa Hằng Hữu bỏ chúng tôi, để cho người Ma-đi-an hành hạ chúng tôi.”
14 And he turned to him Yahweh and he said go in strength your this and you will deliver Israel from [the] hand of Midian ¿ not have I sent you.
Nhưng Chúa Hằng Hữu quay lại, bảo ông: “Hãy dùng năng lực ngươi đang có để giải thoát Ít-ra-ên khỏi tay người Ma-đi-an. Chính Ta sai bảo ngươi!”
15 And he said to him pardon me O Lord how? will I deliver Israel here! family my [is] the weak in Manasseh and I [am] the insignificant in [the] house of father my.
Ghi-đê-ôn đáp: “Lạy Chúa, làm sao tôi giải thoát Ít-ra-ên được? Gia đình tôi hèn mọn nhất trong đại tộc Ma-na-se, còn tôi là con út trong nhà!”
16 And he said to him Yahweh that I will be with you and you will strike down Midian like a man one.
Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: “Ta ở với ngươi, nên ngươi sẽ đánh bại dân tộc Ma-đi-an như đánh một người vậy.”
17 And he said to him if please I have found favor in view your and you will do for me a sign that you [are] speaking with me.
Ghi-đê-ôn lại thưa: “Nếu thật Ngài đoái hoài đến tôi, xin cho tôi thấy một điềm lạ, chứng tỏ chính Chúa Hằng Hữu đã nói với tôi.
18 May not please you depart from here until come I to you and I will bring out gift my and I will set [it] before you and he said I I will remain until returning you.
Xin Chúa ở đây chờ tôi đi lấy lễ vật dâng lên Ngài.” Chúa đáp: “Ta sẽ ở đây chờ ngươi trở lại.”
19 And Gideon he went and he prepared a kid of goats and an ephah of flour of unleavened bread the meat he put in the basket and the broth he put in the pot and he brought [them] out to him to under the oak and he brought [them] near.
Ghi-đê-ôn về nhà. Ông làm thịt một con dê con, và lấy một giỏ bột làm bánh không men. Ông để thịt vào giỏ, đổ nước thịt vào nồi, đem ra cây sồi, dâng lên Chúa.
20 And he said to him [the] angel of God take the meat and the unleavened bread and set [them] to the rock this and the broth pour out and he did so.
Thiên sứ của Đức Chúa Trời nói: “Ngươi lấy thịt và bánh không men để trên tảng đá này. Đem nước thịt đổ lên trên.” Ông vâng lời.
21 And he stretched out [the] angel of Yahweh [the] end of the staff which [was] in hand his and he touched the meat and the unleavened bread and it went up the fire from the rock and it consumed the meat and the unleavened bread and [the] angel of Yahweh he went from eyes his.
Thiên sứ của Chúa Hằng Hữu đưa cây gậy cầm nơi tay, chạm đầu gậy vào thịt và bánh. Lửa từ đá bốc lên thiêu cháy thịt và bánh không men. Sau đó, thiên sứ của Chúa Hằng Hữu biến đi.
22 And he saw Gideon that [was] [the] angel of Yahweh it. And he said Gideon alas! O Lord Yahweh for since I have seen [the] angel of Yahweh face to face.
Bấy giờ Ghi-đê-ôn mới nhận ra rằng đó là thiên sứ của Chúa Hằng Hữu. Ông liền kêu lên: “Ô lạy Đức Chúa Trời Hằng Hữu! Tôi đã thấy thiên sứ của Ngài mặt đối mặt!”
23 And he said to him Yahweh peace [be] to you may not you be afraid not you will die.
Nhưng Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: “Cứ an tâm. Đừng sợ. Ngươi không chết đâu.”
24 And he built there Gideon an altar to Yahweh and he called it Yahweh [is] peace until the day this still it [is] in Ophrah of [the] Abi-ezrite[s].
Ghi-đê-ôn xây một bàn thờ tại nơi ấy cho Chúa Hằng Hữu và đặt tên là Giê-hô-va Sa-lôm (nghĩ là “Chúa Hằng Hữu Bình An”). Đến nay, bàn thờ này vẫn còn ở Óp-ra, trong đất A-bi-ê-xe.
25 And it was in the night that and he said to him Yahweh take [the] young bull of the ox which [belongs] to father your and [the] young bull the second seven years and you will tear down [the] altar of Baal which [belongs] to father your and the Asherah pole which [is] at it you will cut down.
Tối hôm ấy, Chúa Hằng Hữu phán bảo Ghi-đê-ôn: “Hãy bắt con bò đực thứ nhì của cha ngươi, là một con bò đực bảy tuổi, dùng chúng kéo sập bàn thờ Ba-anh của cha ngươi, và hạ trụ A-sê-ra bên bàn thờ ấy xuống.
26 And you will build an altar to Yahweh God your on [the] top of the place of refuge this in the row and you will take the young bull second and you will offer up a burnt offering with [the] wood of the Asherah pole which you will cut down.
Sau đó, xây một bàn thờ cho Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của ngươi trên tảng đá này, theo cách đã ấn định. Rồi dâng con bò đực làm tế lễ thiêu, lấy gỗ của tượng thần A-sê-ra làm củi đốt.”
27 And he took Gideon ten men from servants his and he did just as he had spoken to him Yahweh and it was since he feared [the] household of father his and [the] men of the city from acting by day and he acted night.
Ghi-đê-ôn gọi mười người đầy tớ giúp mình làm mọi điều Chúa Hằng Hữu phán dạy. Nhưng ông hành động trong đêm tối, chứ không dám làm giữa ban ngày, vì sợ người nhà và dân trong thành trông thấy.
28 And they rose early [the] men of the city in the morning and there! it was torn down [the] altar of Baal and the Asherah pole which [was] at it it was cut down and the young bull second it had been offered up on the altar which had been built.
Sáng hôm sau, người trong thành dậy thấy bàn thờ Ba-anh sụp đổ, trụ A-sê-ra đã bị triệt hạ, và một cái bàn thờ mới được dựng lên, trên có dâng một con bò.
29 And they said each to neighbor his who? has he done the thing this and they investigated and they searched and they said Gideon [the] son of Joash he has done the thing this.
Mọi người xôn xao hỏi nhau: “Ai làm các việc này?” Dò hỏi một hồi, họ kết luận đó là Ghi-đê-ôn, con Giô-ách.
30 And they said [the] men of the city to Joash bring out son your so may he die for he has torn down [the] altar of Baal and for he has cut down the Asherah pole which [was] at it.
Họ nói với Giô-ách: “Hãy đem con ông ra đây. Nó phải chết vì tội phá đổ bàn thờ thần Ba-anh và triệt hạ trụ A-sê-ra.”
31 And he said Joash to all [those] who they stood on him ¿ you - will you conduct a case! for Baal or? you will you deliver! him [the one] who he will conduct a case for him he will be put to death until the morning if [is] a god he let him conduct a case for himself if someone has torn down altar his.
Nhưng Giô-ách cứng rắn trả lời đám người chống nghịch ấy rằng: “Các người định biện hộ cho Ba-anh phải không? Các người muốn cứu hắn sao? Ai bênh vực Ba-anh phải bị xử tử sáng hôm nay. Nếu hắn là thần, cứ để hắn tự bênh vực và diệt người phá đổ bàn thờ thần ấy!”
32 And someone called him on the day that Jerub-Baal saying let him conduct a case against him Baal for he has torn down altar his.
Từ hôm ấy, người ta gọi Ghi-đê-ôn là Giê-ru Ba-anh, nghĩa là “để Ba-anh tự biện hộ lấy,” vì ông đã phá sập bàn thờ Ba-anh.
33 And all Midian and Amalek and [the] people of [the] east they gathered together and they passed over and they encamped in [the] valley of Jezreel.
Một hôm, người Ma-đi-an, người A-ma-léc, và các dân miền đông lại cùng nhau kéo đến. Họ vượt sông Giô-đan, đóng trại ở thung lũng Gít-rê-ên.
34 And [the] spirit of Yahweh it clothed Gideon and he gave a blast on the ram's horn (and it was called together *L(abh)*) Abiezer after him.
Thần Linh của Chúa Hằng Hữu cảm hóa Ghi-đê-ôn. Ông thổi kèn chiêu binh và người A-bi-ê-xe kéo theo ông.
35 And messengers he sent in all Manasseh (and it was called together *L(abh)*) also it after him and messengers he sent in Asher and in Zebulun and in Naphtali and they went up to meet them.
Ông sai người đến các đại tộc Ma-na-se, A-se, Sa-bu-luân, và Nép-ta-li kêu gọi; và họ đều theo ông.
36 And he said Gideon to God if there you [are] about to deliver by hand my Israel just as you have spoken.
Ghi-đê-ôn thưa với Đức Chúa Trời: “Nếu Chúa dùng tôi giải cứu Ít-ra-ên như Ngài đã nói,
37 Here! I [am] placing [the] fleece of wool on the threshing floor if dew it will be on the fleece to alone it and [will be] on all the ground dryness and I will know that you will deliver by hand my Israel just as you have spoken.
thì đây, tôi có để một tấm lông chiên trên sân đập lúa: Nếu sương làm ướt tấm lông chiên, còn chung quanh sân đều khô, thì tôi sẽ biết Chúa dùng tôi giải thoát Ít-ra-ên.”
38 And it was so and he rose early from [the] next day and he squeezed out the fleece and he drained dew from the fleece [the] fullness of the bowl water.
Việc xảy ra đúng như thế. Sáng sớm hôm sau, ông dậy, vắt tấm lông chiên, nước chảy đầy một bát.
39 And he said Gideon to God may not it burn anger your on me and let me speak only this time let me put to [the] test please only this time by the fleece let it be please dryness to the fleece to alone it and on all the ground let it be dew.
Ghi-đê-ôn lại thưa với Đức Chúa Trời: “Xin Ngài đừng giận, nhưng cho tôi thử một lần nữa. Lần này xin cho lông chiên khô, còn toàn sân bị sương thấm ướt.”
40 And he did God so in the night that and it was dryness to the fleece to alone it and on all the ground it was dew.
Đêm ấy, Đức Chúa Trời làm đúng như lời ông xin. Tấm lông chiên khô ráo, còn cả sân đều ướt đẫm sương đêm.
