Judges 17
1 And he was a man from [the] hill country of Ephraim and name his [was] Micaiah.
Il y eut en ce temps-là un certain homme de la montagne d’Ephraïm, du nom de Michas,
2 And he said to mother his one thousand and one hundred the silver which it was taken to you (and you *Q(K)*) you cursed and also you said in ears my here! the silver [is] with me I I took it and she said mother his [be] blessed son my by Yahweh.
Qui dit à sa mère: Les mille et cent sicles d’argent, que vous aviez mis à part, et au sujet desquels, vous aviez juré, moi l’entendant, voici que je les ai, et qu’ils sont avec moi. Sa mère lui répondit: Béni soit mon fils par le Seigneur!
3 And he brought back [the] one thousand and one hundred the silver to mother his and she said mother his certainly I consecrate the silver to Yahweh from hand my for son my to make a carved image and a molten image and therefore I will return it to you.
Michas les rendit donc à sa mère, qui lui avait dit: J’ai consacré et voué cet argent au Seigneur, afin que mon fils le reçoive de ma main, et qu’il fasse une image taillée au ciseau et une idole de fonte; et maintenant je te le remets.
4 And he brought back the silver to mother his and she took mother his two hundred silver and she gave it to the silversmith and he made it a carved image and a molten image and it was in [the] house of Micaiah.
Il les rendit donc à sa mère, qui prit deux cents sicles d’argent et les donna à un orfèvre, afin qu’il en fit une image taillée au ciseau et une idole de fonte, qui demeura dans la maison de Michas.
5 And the man Micah [belonged] to him a house of God and he made an ephod and teraphim and he filled [the] hand of one from sons his and he became of him a priest.
Michas aussi éleva séparément dans sa maison un petit temple au dieu, et fit un éphod, des théraphim, c’est-à-dire un vêtement sacerdotal, et des idoles; puis il remplit la main d’un de ses fils; et celui-ci devint son prêtre.
6 In the days those there not [was] a king in Israel everyone the right in view his he did.
En ces jours-là il n’y avait point de roi en Israël, mais chacun faisait tout ce qui lui semblait juste.
7 And he was a young man from Beth-lehem Judah from [the] tribe of Judah and he [was] a Levite and he [was] sojourning there.
Il y eut aussi un autre jeune homme de Bethléhem de Juda, par sa parenté; et lui était Lévite, et il habitait là.
8 And he went the man from the city from Beth-lehem Judah to sojourn in where he will find and he came [the] hill country of Ephraim to [the] house of Micah to make journey his.
Sorti de la ville de Bethléhem, il voulut voyager partout où il trouverait pour lui un avantage. Et lorsqu’il fut venu à la montagne d’Ephraïm, chemin faisant, et qu’il se fut un peu détourné jusqu’à la maison de Michas,
9 And he said to him Micah from where? do you come and he said to him [am] a Levite I from Beth-lehem Judah and I [am] going to sojourn in where I will find.
Michas lui demanda d’où il venait. Il répondit: Je suis Lévite de Bethléhem de Juda, et je vais pour habiter où je pourrai, et où je verrai qu’il me sera utile.
10 And he said to him Micah remain! with me and become of me a father and a priest and I I will give to you ten silver to the days and an order of garments and sustenance your and he went the Levite.
Et Michas dit: Demeure chez moi, et sers-moi de père et de prêtre; je te donnerai chaque année dix sicles d’argent, un double vêtement et ce qui est nécessaire pour la vie.
11 And he was willing the Levite to dwell with the man and he was the young man to him like one from sons his.
Il consentit, et il demeura chez lui, et il fut pour lui comme un de ses enfants.
12 And he filled Micah [the] hand of the Levite and he became of him the young man a priest and he was in [the] house of Micah.
Et Michas remplit sa main, et il garda ce jeune homme comme prêtre chez lui,
13 And he said Micah now I know that he will do good Yahweh to me for he has become of me the Levite a priest.
Disant: Je sais que Dieu me fera du bien, puisque j’ai un prêtre de la race Lévitique.
