< Judges 16 >

1 And he went Samson Gaza towards and he saw there a woman a prostitute and he went into her.
Yon lè Samson desann lavil Gaza, li wè yon jennès, li antre kay jennès la.
2 To the Gazites - saying he has come Samson here and they surrounded and they lay in wait for him all the night at [the] gate of the city and they were silent all the night saying until [the] light of the morning and we will kill him.
Moun lavil Gaza yo vin konnen Samson te la nan lavil la. Yo mache chache l' toupatou, yo pase nwit la ap veye l' bò pòtay lavil la. Yo pa fè bri menm tout nwit la. Yo t'ap di nan kè yo: -N'ap tann solèy leve, lè sa a n'a touye l'.
3 And he lay down Samson until [the] middle of the night and he arose - in [the] middle of the night and he took hold on [the] doors of [the] gate of the city and on [the] two the doorposts and he pulled up them with the bar and he put [them] on shoulders his and he carried up them to [the] top of the mountain which [is] on [the] face of Hebron.
Samson rete kouche jouk nan mitan lannwit lan. Lè sa a, li leve, li pran de batan pòtay lavil la, li rache yo ansanm ak tout montan yo ak bwa travès ki te pase dèyè batan yo. Li mete yo sou zepòl li, li pote yo ale sou tèt mòn ki anfas lavil Ebwon an.
4 And it was after thus and he loved a woman in [the] valley of Sorek and name her [was] Delilah.
Aprè sa, Samson tonbe damou pou yon fanm ki te rete nan Ravin Sorèk. Fanm lan te rele Dalila.
5 And they went up to her [the] rulers of [the] Philistines and they said to her entice him and see how? [is] strength his great and how? will we prevail to him and we will bind him to humble him and we we will give to you each one thousand and one hundred silver.
Gwo chèf moun Filisti yo al jwenn Dalila, yo di l' konsa: -Pran tèt Samson! Chache konnen sa ki ba li tout fòs sa a, kijan nou ka met men sou li. N'a mare l' anba kòd, n'a rann li san fòs. Lèfini, nou chak n'a ba ou milsan (1.100) pyès lajan.
6 And she said Delilah to Samson tell! please to me how? [is] strength your great and how? will you be bound to humble you.
Se konsa, Dalila al di Samson: -Tanpri, di m' sa ki ba ou tout fòs sa a. Manyè di m' kouman yo ta ka mare ou pou kraze kouraj ou.
7 And he said to her Samson if people will bind me with seven cords fresh which not they have been dried and I will be weak and I will be like one of humankind.
Samson reponn li: -Si yo mare m' avèk sèt kòd tou nèf ki poko fin cheche m'ap pèdi tout fòs mwen, m'ap tankou nenpòt ki moun.
8 And they brought up to her [the] rulers of [the] Philistines seven cords fresh which not they had been dried and she bound him with them.
Chèf moun Filisti yo pote sèt kòd tou nèf ki pa t' ankò fin cheche bay Dalila. Dalila mare Samson avèk kòd yo.
9 And the ambusher [was] sitting of her in the chamber and she said to him [the] Philistines [are] on you O Samson and he tore apart the cords just as it is torn apart thread of tow when smells it fire and not it was known strength his.
Li te fè kèk moun kache nan yon lòt chanm, epi li rete konsa, li di: -Samson! Men moun Filisti yo sou ou! Samson kase kòd yo. Moso kòd yo tonbe atè ou ta di fil boule nan dife. Konsa yo pa t' rive konnen sa ki te ba l' tout fòs sa a.
10 And she said Delilah to Samson here! you have deceived me and you have spoken to me lies now tell! please to me how? will you be bound.
Dalila di Samson: -Gade jan ou pase m' nan betiz! On ban m' manti! Tanpri, di m' non! Ki jan yo ka mare ou!
11 And he said to her certainly [if] they will bind me with ropes new which not it has been done with them work and I will be weak and I will be like one of humankind.
Samson di l' konsa: -Si yo mare m' ak kòd tou nèf ki poko janm sèvi pou fè ankenn travay, m'ap pèdi tout fòs mwen, m'ap tankou nenpòt ki moun.
12 And she took Delilah ropes new and she bound him with them and she said to him [the] Philistines [are] on you O Samson and the ambusher [was] sitting in the chamber and he tore apart them from on arms his like thread.
Dalila pran kèk kòd tou nèf, li mare Samson avèk yo, epi li di: -Samson! Men moun Filisti yo sou ou! Li te mete moun yo kache nan lòt chanm lan. Men, Samson kase kòd ki te mare bra l' yo tankou si se te fil yo te ye.
13 And she said Delilah to Samson until now you have deceived me and you have spoken to me lies tell! to me how? will you be bound and he said to her if you will weave seven [the] plaits of head my with the web. (And you will strike with a pin to the wall and I will be weak and I will be like one man. *X*)
Dalila di Samson: -W'ap pase m' nan betiz toujou. W'ap ban m' manti. Tanpri, moutre m' kijan yo ka mare ou. Samson di l': -Si ou pran sèt très cheve m' yo ou trese yo ansanm epi ou kenbè yo ak yon gwo peny, m'ap pedi tout fòs mwen, m'ap tankou nenpòt ki moun.
14 (And she made sleep him and she wove seven [the] plaits head his with the web *X*) and she thrust with the pin and she said to him [the] Philistines [are] on you O Samson and he awoke from sleep his and he pulled out the pin of the loom and the web.
Dalila fè l' dòmi. Li trese sèt très cheve l' yo ansanm, li sere yo byen sere avèk yon gwo peny, epi li rele: -Samson! Men moun Filisti yo sou ou! Samson leve, li rache peny lan, li detrese cheve l' yo.
15 And she said to him how? will you say I love you and heart your not [is] with me this three times you have deceived me and not you have told to me how? [is] strength your great.
Dalila di l' konsa: -Ou pa bezwen di ou renmen m' menm, paske ou pa sensè avè m'. Sa fè twa fwa ou pase m' nan betiz. Ou pa janm di m' ki bò ou jwenn tout fòs sa a.
16 And it was that she pressed him with words her all the days and she urged him and it was short self his to die.
Chak jou li rete la nan kò Samson, l'ap plenyen nan tèt li. Samson pa t' kapab ankò, rete pou l' te mouri.
17 And he told to her all heart his and he said to her a razor not it has come up on head my for [am] a Nazirite of God I from [the] womb of mother my if I was shaved and it will depart from me strength my and I will be weak and I will be like every man.
Bout pou bout li ba li sekrè a, li di l' konsa: -Mwen pa janm koupe cheve nan tèt mwen. Se yon nazirit mwen ye, yo mete m' apa pou Bondye depi nan vant manman m'. Si yo koupe tout cheve nan tèt mwen, m'ap pèdi tout fòs mwen, m'ap tankou nenpòt ki moun.
18 And she saw (Delilah *LA(bh)*) that he had told to her all heart his and she sent and she summoned [the] rulers of [the] Philistines saying come up this time for he has told (to me *Q(K)*) all heart his and they came up to her [the] rulers of [the] Philistines and they brought up the silver in hand their.
Lè Dalila wè Samson te ba l' sekrè a, li voye rele chèf moun Filisti yo, li di yo: -Fwa sa a, nou mèt vini, paske li ban m' sekrè a. Chèf moun Filisti yo vin jwenn li. Yo tou pote lajan an avèk yo.
19 And she made sleep him on knees her and she summoned the man and she shaved off seven [the] plaits of head his and she began to humble him and it departed strength his from on him.
Dalila fè dòmi pran Samson sou jenou l', li fè rele yon nonm ki koupe sèt très cheve Samson yo ra. Epi li seye fè fòs ak li. Men Samson te pèdi tout fòs li.
20 And she said [the] Philistines [are] on you O Samson and he awoke from sleep his and he said I will go out as time on time so I may shake myself free and he not he knew that Yahweh he had departed from with him.
Lè sa a, Dalila rele: -Samson! Men moun Filisti yo sou ou! Msye leve, li t'ap di nan kè l' l'ap soti anba kòd yo, l'ap met deyò tankou lòt fwa yo. Men, li pa t' konnen Seyè a pa t' avè l' ankò.
21 And they seized him [the] Philistines and they gouged out eyes his and they brought down him Gaza towards and they bound him with bronze fetters and he was grinding in [the] house of (those imprisoned. *Q(K)*)
Moun Filisti yo mete men sou li, epi yo pete de grenn je l' yo. Yo mennen l' lavil Gaza, yo mare l' avèk de gwo chenn an asye. Se li menm yo te fè vire gwo wòl moulen prizon an.
22 And it began [the] hair of head his to grow back when it had been shaved.
Men, cheve l' te konmanse pouse ankò.
23 And [the] rulers of [the] Philistines they gathered to sacrifice a sacrifice great to Dagon god their and for joy and they said he has given god our in hand our Samson enemies our.
Aprè sa, yon jou, chèf moun Filisti yo te reyini pou fè yon gwo sèvis pou Dagon, bondye yo a. Yo t'ap fè fèt. Yo t'ap di: -Bondye nou an lage Samson, lènmi nou an, nan men nou.
24 And they saw him the people and they praised god their for they said he has given god our in hand our enemy our and [the] desolator of land our and who he has multiplied slain [ones] our.
Lè pèp la te wè Samson, yo t'ap fè lwanj pou bondye yo a. Yo t'ap di: -Bondye nou an fè nou mete men sou Samson lènmi nou an ki t'ap devaste peyi a, ki t'ap touye tout moun sa yo nan mitan nou.
25 And it was (like good *Q(K)*) heart their and they said summon Samson so he may make sport for us and they summoned Samson from [the] house of (those imprisoned *Q(K)*) and he made sport before them and they made stand him between the pillars.
Kè tout moun te kontan. Yo di konsa: -Fè chache Samson pou n' ka pran plezi nou ak li. Y' al chache Samson nan prizon an, yo mennen l' devan yo pou yo te ka pran plezi yo avè l'. Yo mete msye nan mitan de gwo poto.
26 And he said Samson to the young man who kept hold on hand his permit! me (and let feel me *Q(K)*) the pillars which the house [is] established on them so I may lean on them.
Samson di ti bway ki te kenbe men l' lan: -Mennen m' bò de gwo poto ki kenbe tout tanp lan. Mete men m' sou yo pou m' ka fè yon ti apiye.
27 And the house was full men and women and [were] there all [the] rulers of [the] Philistines and [were] on the roof about three thousand man and woman who were looking when sported Samson.
Tanp lan te plen moun, fanm kou gason. Tout chèf moun Filisti yo te la. Te gen twamil (3.000) moun konsa, fanm kou gason, anwo twati a ki t'ap gade Samson, ki t'ap pran plezi yo ak li.
28 And he called out Samson to Yahweh and he said O Lord Yahweh remember me please and strengthen me please only the time this O God so let me avenge myself vengeance of one from [the] two eyes my from [the] Philistines.
Lè sa a, Samson lapriyè nan pye Bondye, li di: -O Bondye Seyè! Tanpri, chonje m' non jòdi a! Tanpri, Bondye, ban m' fòs ankò pou yon dènye fwa, pou m' ka fè moun Filisti yo peye yon grenn kou pou de je m' yo pete a.
29 And he grasped Samson [the] two - [the] pillars of the middle which the house [was] established on them and he supported himself on them one in right [hand] his and one in left [hand] his.
Epi Samson mete men l' sou de gwo poto mitan ki te kenbe tout tanp lan. Li apiye yon men l' sou chak.
30 And he said Samson let it die life my with [the] Philistines and he stretched out with strength and it fell the house on the rulers and on all the people which [was] in it and they were the dead whom he killed in death his many more than [those] whom he had killed in life his.
Epi li di: -M' te mèt mouri ansanm ak moun Filisti yo. Li pouse ak tout fòs li sou poto yo, epi tanp lan tonbe sou tout chèf yo ak sou tout moun ki te la yo. Jou li mouri a, li te touye plis moun pase kantite moun li te touye pandan lavi li.
31 And they went down brothers his and all [the] household of father his and they carried him and they brought [him] up - and they buried him between Zorah and between Eshtaol in [the] tomb of Manoah father his and he he judged Israel twenty year[s].
Frè l' yo ansanm ak tout fanmi l' yo desann vin pran kadav la. Yo pote l' tounen lakay yo, yo antere l' nan kavo Manoak, papa li, ant lavil Soreja ak lavil Echtawòl. Li te pase ventan (20 an) ap gouvènen moun pèp Izrayèl la.
