Judges 16
1 And he went Samson Gaza towards and he saw there a woman a prostitute and he went into her.
Samson alla à Gaza; il y vit une prostituée, et il entra chez elle.
2 To the Gazites - saying he has come Samson here and they surrounded and they lay in wait for him all the night at [the] gate of the city and they were silent all the night saying until [the] light of the morning and we will kill him.
Les habitants de Gaza furent informés: « Samson est ici! » Ils l'entourèrent et l'attendirent toute la nuit à la porte de la ville, et restèrent silencieux toute la nuit, en disant: « Attendez la lumière du matin; alors nous le tuerons. »
3 And he lay down Samson until [the] middle of the night and he arose - in [the] middle of the night and he took hold on [the] doors of [the] gate of the city and on [the] two the doorposts and he pulled up them with the bar and he put [them] on shoulders his and he carried up them to [the] top of the mountain which [is] on [the] face of Hebron.
Samson resta couché jusqu'à minuit, puis se leva à minuit et saisit les portes de la porte de la ville, avec les deux poteaux, les arracha, barre et tout, les mit sur ses épaules et les porta au sommet de la montagne qui est devant Hébron.
4 And it was after thus and he loved a woman in [the] valley of Sorek and name her [was] Delilah.
Par la suite, il aima une femme dans la vallée de Sorek, dont le nom était Dalila.
5 And they went up to her [the] rulers of [the] Philistines and they said to her entice him and see how? [is] strength his great and how? will we prevail to him and we will bind him to humble him and we we will give to you each one thousand and one hundred silver.
Les princes des Philistins s'approchèrent d'elle et lui dirent: « Attire-le, et vois en quoi consiste sa grande force, et par quel moyen nous pouvons l'emporter sur lui, afin de le lier pour l'affliger; et nous te donnerons chacun onze cents pièces d'argent. »
6 And she said Delilah to Samson tell! please to me how? [is] strength your great and how? will you be bound to humble you.
Dalila dit à Samson: « Dis-moi, je t'en prie, où réside ta grande force, et ce qui pourrait t'affliger. »
7 And he said to her Samson if people will bind me with seven cords fresh which not they have been dried and I will be weak and I will be like one of humankind.
Samson lui dit: « Si on me lie avec sept cordes vertes qui n'ont jamais séché, je deviendrai faible et je serai comme un autre homme. »
8 And they brought up to her [the] rulers of [the] Philistines seven cords fresh which not they had been dried and she bound him with them.
Et les princes des Philistins lui apportèrent sept cordes vertes qui n'avaient pas séché, et elle le lia avec elles.
9 And the ambusher [was] sitting of her in the chamber and she said to him [the] Philistines [are] on you O Samson and he tore apart the cords just as it is torn apart thread of tow when smells it fire and not it was known strength his.
Elle avait préparé une embuscade dans la salle intérieure. Elle lui dit: « Les Philistins sont sur toi, Samson! ». Il brisa les cordes comme on brise un fil de lin au contact du feu. Ainsi, sa force n'était pas connue.
10 And she said Delilah to Samson here! you have deceived me and you have spoken to me lies now tell! please to me how? will you be bound.
Dalila dit à Samson: « Voici, tu t'es moqué de moi et tu m'as dit des mensonges. Maintenant, dis-moi comment on peut te lier. »
11 And he said to her certainly [if] they will bind me with ropes new which not it has been done with them work and I will be weak and I will be like one of humankind.
Il lui dit: « Si l'on me lie seulement avec des cordes neuves dont on n'a pas fait usage, je deviendrai faible et je serai comme un autre homme. »
12 And she took Delilah ropes new and she bound him with them and she said to him [the] Philistines [are] on you O Samson and the ambusher [was] sitting in the chamber and he tore apart them from on arms his like thread.
Alors Dalila prit des cordes neuves et le lia avec, puis elle lui dit: « Les Philistins sont sur toi, Samson! ». L'embuscade l'attendait dans la salle intérieure. Il les brisa sur ses bras comme un fil.
13 And she said Delilah to Samson until now you have deceived me and you have spoken to me lies tell! to me how? will you be bound and he said to her if you will weave seven [the] plaits of head my with the web. (And you will strike with a pin to the wall and I will be weak and I will be like one man. *X*)
Dalila dit à Samson: « Jusqu'à présent, tu t'es moqué de moi et tu m'as raconté des mensonges. Dis-moi avec quoi tu pourrais être lié. » Il lui dit: « Si tu tisses les sept mèches de ma tête avec le tissu du métier à tisser. »
14 (And she made sleep him and she wove seven [the] plaits head his with the web *X*) and she thrust with the pin and she said to him [the] Philistines [are] on you O Samson and he awoke from sleep his and he pulled out the pin of the loom and the web.
Elle l'attacha avec l'épingle, et lui dit: « Les Philistins sont sur toi, Samson! » Il se réveilla de son sommeil, et arracha l'épingle de la poutre et du tissu.
15 And she said to him how? will you say I love you and heart your not [is] with me this three times you have deceived me and not you have told to me how? [is] strength your great.
Elle lui dit: « Comment peux-tu dire: « Je t'aime », alors que ton cœur n'est pas avec moi? Tu t'es moqué de moi ces trois fois, et tu ne m'as pas dit où était ta grande force. »
16 And it was that she pressed him with words her all the days and she urged him and it was short self his to die.
Comme elle le pressait chaque jour de ses paroles et l'exhortait, son âme était troublée à mort.
17 And he told to her all heart his and he said to her a razor not it has come up on head my for [am] a Nazirite of God I from [the] womb of mother my if I was shaved and it will depart from me strength my and I will be weak and I will be like every man.
Il lui raconta tout son cœur et lui dit: « Jamais rasoir n'a touché ma tête, car j'ai été naziréen à Dieu dès le ventre de ma mère. Si l'on me rase, alors ma force s'en ira de moi et je deviendrai faible, et je serai comme n'importe quel autre homme. »
18 And she saw (Delilah *LA(bh)*) that he had told to her all heart his and she sent and she summoned [the] rulers of [the] Philistines saying come up this time for he has told (to me *Q(K)*) all heart his and they came up to her [the] rulers of [the] Philistines and they brought up the silver in hand their.
Lorsque Dalila vit qu'il lui avait dit tout son cœur, elle envoya chercher les princes des Philistins et dit: « Montez tout de suite, car il m'a dit tout son cœur. » Les princes des Philistins montèrent vers elle et apportèrent l'argent en main.
19 And she made sleep him on knees her and she summoned the man and she shaved off seven [the] plaits of head his and she began to humble him and it departed strength his from on him.
Elle le fit dormir sur ses genoux; elle appela un homme et lui rasa les sept boucles de la tête; elle commença à le tourmenter, et sa force le quitta.
20 And she said [the] Philistines [are] on you O Samson and he awoke from sleep his and he said I will go out as time on time so I may shake myself free and he not he knew that Yahweh he had departed from with him.
Elle dit: « Les Philistins sont sur toi, Samson! » Il se réveilla de son sommeil, et dit: « Je sortirai comme les autres fois, et je me secouerai pour me libérer. » Mais il ne savait pas que Yahvé s'était éloigné de lui.
21 And they seized him [the] Philistines and they gouged out eyes his and they brought down him Gaza towards and they bound him with bronze fetters and he was grinding in [the] house of (those imprisoned. *Q(K)*)
Les Philistins le saisirent et lui crevèrent les yeux; ils le firent descendre à Gaza et le lièrent avec des chaînes d'airain; et il moulait au moulin dans la prison.
22 And it began [the] hair of head his to grow back when it had been shaved.
Cependant, les cheveux de sa tête se remirent à pousser après qu'il eut été rasé.
23 And [the] rulers of [the] Philistines they gathered to sacrifice a sacrifice great to Dagon god their and for joy and they said he has given god our in hand our Samson enemies our.
Les princes des Philistins s'assemblèrent pour offrir un grand sacrifice à Dagon, leur dieu, et pour se réjouir, car ils disaient: « Notre dieu a livré entre nos mains Samson, notre ennemi. »
24 And they saw him the people and they praised god their for they said he has given god our in hand our enemy our and [the] desolator of land our and who he has multiplied slain [ones] our.
Quand le peuple le vit, il loua son dieu, car il dit: « Notre dieu a livré entre nos mains notre ennemi et le destructeur de notre pays, qui a tué beaucoup d'entre nous. »
25 And it was (like good *Q(K)*) heart their and they said summon Samson so he may make sport for us and they summoned Samson from [the] house of (those imprisoned *Q(K)*) and he made sport before them and they made stand him between the pillars.
Lorsque leurs cœurs furent joyeux, ils dirent: « Appelez Samson, qu'il nous divertisse. » Ils appelèrent Samson hors de la prison, et il se produisit devant eux. Ils le placèrent entre les piliers,
26 And he said Samson to the young man who kept hold on hand his permit! me (and let feel me *Q(K)*) the pillars which the house [is] established on them so I may lean on them.
et Samson dit au garçon qui le tenait par la main: « Permets-moi de toucher les piliers sur lesquels repose la maison, afin que je puisse m'appuyer dessus. »
27 And the house was full men and women and [were] there all [the] rulers of [the] Philistines and [were] on the roof about three thousand man and woman who were looking when sported Samson.
Or, la maison était pleine d'hommes et de femmes, et tous les princes des Philistins étaient là; et il y avait sur le toit environ trois mille hommes et femmes, qui voyaient pendant que Samson exécutait.
28 And he called out Samson to Yahweh and he said O Lord Yahweh remember me please and strengthen me please only the time this O God so let me avenge myself vengeance of one from [the] two eyes my from [the] Philistines.
Samson invoqua Yahvé et dit: « Seigneur Yahvé, souviens-toi de moi, s'il te plaît, et fortifie-moi, s'il te plaît, seulement cette fois, Dieu, afin que je sois immédiatement vengé des Philistins pour mes deux yeux. »
29 And he grasped Samson [the] two - [the] pillars of the middle which the house [was] established on them and he supported himself on them one in right [hand] his and one in left [hand] his.
Samson saisit les deux piliers centraux sur lesquels reposait la maison et s'y appuya, l'un de la main droite et l'autre de la main gauche.
30 And he said Samson let it die life my with [the] Philistines and he stretched out with strength and it fell the house on the rulers and on all the people which [was] in it and they were the dead whom he killed in death his many more than [those] whom he had killed in life his.
Samson dit: « Que je meure avec les Philistins! » Il s'inclina de toutes ses forces, et la maison tomba sur les seigneurs et sur tout le peuple qui s'y trouvait. Ainsi les morts qu'il tua à sa mort furent plus nombreux que ceux qu'il tua de son vivant.
31 And they went down brothers his and all [the] household of father his and they carried him and they brought [him] up - and they buried him between Zorah and between Eshtaol in [the] tomb of Manoah father his and he he judged Israel twenty year[s].
Alors ses frères et toute la maison de son père descendirent et le prirent, le firent monter et l'enterrèrent entre Zorah et Eshtaol, dans la sépulture de Manoah, son père. Il fut juge en Israël pendant vingt ans.
