Joshua 1
1 And it was after [the] death of Moses [the] servant of Yahweh and he said Yahweh to Joshua [the] son of Nun [the] servant of Moses saying.
Dopo la morte di Mosè, servo del Signore, il Signore disse a Giosuè, figlio di Nun, servo di Mosè:
2 Moses servant my he has died and therefore arise pass over the Jordan this you and all the people this into the land which I [am] about to give to them to [the] people of Israel.
«Mosè mio servo è morto; orsù, attraversa questo Giordano tu e tutto questo popolo, verso il paese che io dò loro, agli Israeliti.
3 Every place which it will tread [the] sole of foot your on it to you I have given it just as I spoke to Moses.
Ogni luogo che calcherà la pianta dei vostri piedi, ve l'ho assegnato, come ho promesso a Mosè.
4 From the wilderness and Lebanon this and to the river great [the] river of Euphrates all [the] land of the Hittites and to the sea great [the] setting of the sun it will be territory your.
Dal deserto e dal Libano fino al fiume grande, il fiume Eufrate, tutto il paese degli Hittiti, fino al Mar Mediterraneo, dove tramonta il sole: tali saranno i vostri confini.
5 Not he will stand anyone before you all [the] days of life your just as I was with Moses I will be with you not I will abandon you and not I will leave you.
Nessuno potrà resistere a te per tutti i giorni della tua vita; come sono stato con Mosè, così sarò con te; non ti lascerò né ti abbandonerò.
6 Be strong and be bold for you you will cause to inherit the people this the land which I swore to fathers their to give to them.
Sii coraggioso e forte, poiché tu dovrai mettere questo popolo in possesso della terra che ho giurato ai loro padri di dare loro.
7 Only be strong and be bold exceedingly to take care to do according to all the law which he commanded you Moses servant my may not you turn aside from it right and left so that you may prosper in every where you will go.
Solo sii forte e molto coraggioso, cercando di agire secondo tutta la legge che ti ha prescritta Mosè, mio servo. Non deviare da essa né a destra né a sinistra, perché tu abbia successo in qualunque tua impresa.
8 Not it will depart [the] book of the law this from mouth your and you will meditate on it by day and night so that you may take care to do according to every [thing] written in it for then you will make successful ways your and then you will be successful.
Non si allontani dalla tua bocca il libro di questa legge, ma mèditalo giorno e notte, perché tu cerchi di agire secondo quanto vi è scritto; poiché allora tu porterai a buon fine le tue imprese e avrai successo.
9 ¿ Not have I commanded you be strong and be bold may not you be terrified and may not you be dismayed for [is] with you Yahweh God your in every where you will go.
Non ti ho io comandato: Sii forte e coraggioso? Non temere dunque e non spaventarti, perché è con te il Signore tuo Dio, dovunque tu vada».
10 And he commanded Joshua [the] officers of the people saying.
Allora Giosuè comandò agli scribi del popolo:
11 Pass - in [the] midst of the camp and command the people saying prepare for yourselves food for in yet - three days you [are] about to pass over the Jordan this to go to take possession of the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you to take possession of it.
«Passate in mezzo all'accampamento e comandate al popolo: Fatevi provviste di viveri, poiché fra tre giorni voi passerete questo Giordano, per andare ad occupare il paese che il Signore vostro Dio vi dà in possesso».
12 And to the Reubenite[s] and to the Gadite[s] and to [the] half of [the] tribe of Manasseh he said Joshua saying.
Poi Giosuè disse ai Rubeniti, ai Gaditi e alla metà della tribù di Manàsse:
13 Remember the word which he commanded you Moses [the] servant of Yahweh saying Yahweh God your [is] giving rest to you and he will give to you the land this.
«Ricordatevi di ciò che vi ha ordinato Mosè, servo del Signore: Il Signore Dio vostro vi concede riposo e vi dà questo paese;
14 Wives your little one[s] your and livestock your they will remain in the land which he gave to you Moses on [the] other side of the Jordan and you you will pass over arrayed for battle before brothers your all [the] mighty [men] of strength and you will help them.
le vostre mogli, i vostri bambini e il vostro bestiame rimarranno nella terra che vi ha assegnata Mosè oltre il Giordano; voi tutti invece, prodi guerrieri, passerete ben armati davanti ai vostri fratelli, e li aiuterete,
15 Until that he will give rest Yahweh - to brothers your like you and they will take possession of also they the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to them and you will return to [the] land of possession your and you will take possession of it which - he gave to you Moses [the] servant of Yahweh on [the] other side of the Jordan [the] rising of the sun.
finché il Signore conceda riposo ai vostri fratelli, come a voi, e anch'essi siano entrati in possesso del paese che il Signore Dio vostro assegna loro. Allora ritornerete e possederete la terra della vostra eredità, che Mosè, servo del Signore, diede a voi oltre il Giordano, ad oriente».
16 And they answered Joshua saying all that you have commanded us we will do and to every where you will send us we will go.
Essi risposero a Giosuè: «Faremo quanto ci hai ordinato e noi andremo dovunque ci manderai.
17 According to all that we listened to Moses so we will listen to you only may he be Yahweh God your with you just as he was with Moses.
Come abbiamo obbedito in tutto a Mosè, così obbediremo a te; ma il Signore tuo Dio sia con te come è stato con Mosè.
18 Every person who he will rebel toward mouth your and not he will obey words your to all that you will command him he will be put to death only be strong and be bold.
Chiunque disprezzerà i tuoi ordini e non obbedirà alle tue parole in quanto ci comanderai, sarà messo a morte. Solo, sii forte e coraggioso».
