Joshua 5
1 And it was when heard all [the] kings of the Amorite[s] who [were] on [the] other side of the Jordan west-ward and all [the] kings of the Canaanite[s] who [were] at the sea [they heard] this: he had dried up Yahweh [the] waters of the Jordan from before [the] people of Israel until (passing over they *Q(K)*) and it melted heart their and not it was in them still spirit because of [the] people of Israel.
Cuando todos los reyes de los amorreos, que estaban al otro lado del Jordán, hacia el oeste, y todos los reyes de los cananeos, que estaban junto al mar, oyeron cómo Yahvé había secado las aguas del Jordán desde delante de los hijos de Israel hasta que habíamos cruzado, se les derritió el corazón, y no hubo más espíritu en ellos, a causa de los hijos de Israel.
2 At the time that he said Yahweh to Joshua make for yourself knives of flint and return circumcise [the] people of Israel a second [time].
En aquel tiempo, Yahvé dijo a Josué: “Haz cuchillos de pedernal y vuelve a circuncidar a los hijos de Israel por segunda vez.”
3 And he made for himself Joshua knives of flint and he circumcised [the] people of Israel to [the] hill of foreskins.
Josué se hizo cuchillos de pedernal y circuncidó a los hijos de Israel en el monte de los prepucios.
4 And this [is] the reason why he circumcised Joshua all the people which had come out from Egypt the males all - [the] men of war they had died in the wilderness on the way when went out they from Egypt.
Esta es la razón por la que Josué los circuncidó: todo el pueblo que salió de Egipto, que era varón, incluso todos los hombres de guerra, murieron en el desierto a lo largo del camino, después de que salieron de Egipto.
5 For circumcised they had been all the people which came out and all the people born in the wilderness on the way when went out they from Egypt not people had circumcised.
Porque todo el pueblo que salió fue circuncidado; pero todo el pueblo que nació en el desierto a lo largo del camino al salir de Egipto no había sido circuncidado.
6 For - forty year[s] they had walked [the] people of Israel in the wilderness until was finished all the nation [the] men of war who came out from Egypt who not they had listened to [the] voice of Yahweh whom he had sworn Yahweh to them to not to let to see them the land which he had sworn Yahweh to fathers their to give to us a land flowing of milk and honey.
Porque los hijos de Israel anduvieron cuarenta años en el desierto hasta que toda la nación, incluso los hombres de guerra que salieron de Egipto, fueron consumidos, porque no escucharon la voz de Yahvé. Yahvé les juró que no les dejaría ver la tierra que Yahvé juró a sus padres que nos daría, una tierra que mana leche y miel.
7 And children their he raised up in place of them them he circumcised Joshua for uncircumcised they were for not people had circumcised them on the way.
Sus hijos, a los que levantó en su lugar, fueron circuncidados por Josué, ya que eran incircuncisos, porque no los habían circuncidado en el camino.
8 And it was just when they had finished all the nation to be circumcised and they remained in place their in the camp until lived they.
Cuando terminaron de circuncidar a toda la nación, se quedaron en sus lugares en el campamento hasta que se curaron.
9 And he said Yahweh to Joshua this day I have rolled away [the] reproach of Egypt from on you and he called [the] name of the place that Gilgal until the day this.
El Señor le dijo a Josué: “Hoy he quitado de ti el oprobio de Egipto”. Por eso el nombre de aquel lugar se llamó Gilgal hasta el día de hoy.
10 And they encamped [the] people of Israel at Gilgal and they observed the passover on [the] four-teen day of the month in the evening on [the] plains of Jericho.
Los hijos de Israel acamparon en Gilgal. Celebraron la Pascua el día catorce del mes, al atardecer, en las llanuras de Jericó.
11 And they ate some of [the] produce of the land from [the] next day of the passover unleavened bread and roasted [grain] on [the] substance of the day this.
Comieron tortas sin levadura y grano tostado de los productos de la tierra al día siguiente de la Pascua, en el mismo día.
12 And it ceased the manna from [the] next day when ate they some of [the] produce of the land and not it belonged again to [the] people of Israel manna and they ate some of [the] produce of [the] land of Canaan in the year that.
El maná cesó al día siguiente, después de que comieron de los productos de la tierra. Los hijos de Israel ya no tuvieron maná, sino que comieron del fruto de la tierra de Canaán ese año.
13 And it was when was Joshua at Jericho and he lifted up eyes his and he saw and there! a man [was] standing to before him and sword his [was] drawn in hand his and he went Joshua to him and he said to him ¿ for us [are] you or? for foes our.
Cuando Josué estaba junto a Jericó, alzó los ojos y miró, y he aquí que un hombre estaba frente a él con la espada desenvainada en la mano. Josué se acercó a él y le dijo: “¿Estás a favor nuestro o de nuestros enemigos?”.
14 And he said - In-deed I [am] [the] commander of [the] army of Yahweh now I have come and he fell Joshua to face his [the] ground towards and he bowed down and he said to him what? [is] lord my saying servant his.
Él dijo: “No; pero he venido ahora como comandante del ejército de Yahvé”. Josué se postró en tierra y adoró, y le preguntó: “¿Qué dice mi señor a su siervo?”.
15 And he said [the] commander of [the] army of Yahweh to Joshua take off sandal your from on foot your for the place which you [are] standing on it [is] a holy place it and he did Joshua thus.
El príncipe del ejército de Yahvé le dijo a Josué: “Quítate las sandalias, porque el lugar donde estás parado es sagrado”. Josué así lo hizo.
