Joshua 5
1 And it was when heard all [the] kings of the Amorite[s] who [were] on [the] other side of the Jordan west-ward and all [the] kings of the Canaanite[s] who [were] at the sea [they heard] this: he had dried up Yahweh [the] waters of the Jordan from before [the] people of Israel until (passing over they *Q(K)*) and it melted heart their and not it was in them still spirit because of [the] people of Israel.
Kuin kaikki Amorilaisten kuninkaat, jotka toisella puolella Jordania länteen päin asuivat, ja kaikki Kanaanealaisten kuninkaat meren tykönä kuulivat, että Herra kuivasi Jordanin vedet Israelin lasten eteen, niinkauvan kuin he kävivät sen ylitse, niin heidän sydämensä raukesi ja ei ollut heissä enään yhtään miehuutta Israelin lasten edessä.
2 At the time that he said Yahweh to Joshua make for yourself knives of flint and return circumcise [the] people of Israel a second [time].
Siihen aikaan sanoi Herra Josualle: tee sinulles kiviveitset ja ympärileikkaa taas Israelin lapset toisen kerran.
3 And he made for himself Joshua knives of flint and he circumcised [the] people of Israel to [the] hill of foreskins.
Niin teki Josua itsellensä kiviveitset ja ympärileikkasi Israelin lapset Aralotin kukkulalla.
4 And this [is] the reason why he circumcised Joshua all the people which had come out from Egypt the males all - [the] men of war they had died in the wilderness on the way when went out they from Egypt.
Ja tämä on syy, jonkatähden Josua heidät siinä ympärileikkasi: kaikki se kansa joka läksi ulos Egyptistä, miehenpuoli, kaikki sotamiehet kuolivat tiellä korvessa, sitte kuin he läksivät Egyptistä.
5 For circumcised they had been all the people which came out and all the people born in the wilderness on the way when went out they from Egypt not people had circumcised.
Sillä kaikki kansa, joka läksi ulos, oli ympärileikattu: mutta kaikki se kansa, joka korvessa syntyi matkalla, sittekuin he läksivät ulos Egyptistä, ei ollut ympärileikattu.
6 For - forty year[s] they had walked [the] people of Israel in the wilderness until was finished all the nation [the] men of war who came out from Egypt who not they had listened to [the] voice of Yahweh whom he had sworn Yahweh to them to not to let to see them the land which he had sworn Yahweh to fathers their to give to us a land flowing of milk and honey.
Sillä Israelin lapset vaelsivat neljäkymmentä ajastaikaa korvessa, siihenasti että kaikki kansa sotamiehiä, jotka Egyptistä lähteneet olivat, loppuivat, jotka ei kuulleet Herran ääntä; niinkuin Herra heille vannonut oli, ettei heidän pitänyt näkemän sitä maata, jonka Herra heidän isillensä vannonut oli, antaaksensa meille maan, rieskaa ja hunajaa vuotavan.
7 And children their he raised up in place of them them he circumcised Joshua for uncircumcised they were for not people had circumcised them on the way.
Heidän lapsensa, jotka heidän siaansa tulivat, ympärileikkasi Josua; sillä heillä oli esinahka, ja ei olleet ympärileikatut matkalla.
8 And it was just when they had finished all the nation to be circumcised and they remained in place their in the camp until lived they.
Ja kuin kaikki kansa ympärileikattu oli, pysyivät he siallansa leirissä siihenasti että he paranivat.
9 And he said Yahweh to Joshua this day I have rolled away [the] reproach of Egypt from on you and he called [the] name of the place that Gilgal until the day this.
Ja Herra sanoi Josualle: tänäpänä olen minä teiltä kääntänyt pois Egyptin häväistyksen; ja se paikka kutsutaan Gilgal, tähän päivään asti.
10 And they encamped [the] people of Israel at Gilgal and they observed the passover on [the] four-teen day of the month in the evening on [the] plains of Jericho.
Ja kuin Israelin lapset niin sioittivat itsensä Gilgalissa, pitivät he pääsiäistä neljäntenätoistakymmenentenä päivänä sinä kuukautena, ehtoona, Jerihon kedolla,
11 And they ate some of [the] produce of the land from [the] next day of the passover unleavened bread and roasted [grain] on [the] substance of the day this.
Ja söivät sen maan jyvistä toisena pääsiäispäivänä, happamattomia leipiä ja paistetuita tähkäpäitä, juuri sinä päivänä.
12 And it ceased the manna from [the] next day when ate they some of [the] produce of the land and not it belonged again to [the] people of Israel manna and they ate some of [the] produce of [the] land of Canaan in the year that.
Ja manna lakkasi toisena päivänä, sittekuin he syöneet olivat maan jyvistä, niin ettei Israelin lapsilla enää ollut mannaa, vaan he söivät Kanaanin maan hedelmää sinä vuonna.
13 And it was when was Joshua at Jericho and he lifted up eyes his and he saw and there! a man [was] standing to before him and sword his [was] drawn in hand his and he went Joshua to him and he said to him ¿ for us [are] you or? for foes our.
Ja tapahtui kuin Josua oli lähellä Jerihoa, nosti hän silmänsä ja näki: ja katso, mies seisoi siellä hänen edessänsä, ja oli avoin miekka hänen kädessänsä; ja Josua meni hänen tykönsä ja sanoi hänelle: oletko sinä meidän vai vihamiestemme puolella?
14 And he said - In-deed I [am] [the] commander of [the] army of Yahweh now I have come and he fell Joshua to face his [the] ground towards and he bowed down and he said to him what? [is] lord my saying servant his.
Hän sanoi: en, vaan minä olen Herran sotajoukon päämies, ja olen nyt tullut; niin Josua lankesi maahan kasvoillensa ja kumarsi häntä, ja sanoi hänelle: mitä Herrani sanoo palveliallensa?
15 And he said [the] commander of [the] army of Yahweh to Joshua take off sandal your from on foot your for the place which you [are] standing on it [is] a holy place it and he did Joshua thus.
Ja Herran sotajoukon päämies sanoi Josualle: riisu kengät jaloistas, sillä paikka, jossa seisot, on pyhä; ja Josua teki niin.
