Joshua 4

1 And it was just when they had finished all the nation to pass over the Jordan. And he said Yahweh to Joshua saying.

I stalo se, když již všecken národ přešel Jordán, (nebo byl řekl Hospodin k Jozue, řka:

2 Take for yourselves from the people two [plus] ten men a man one a man one from a tribe.

Vezměte sobě z lidu dvanácte mužů, po jednom muži z každého pokolení,

3 And command them saying take up for yourselves from here from [the] middle of the Jordan from [the] standing-place of [the] feet of the priests to make firm two [plus] ten stones and you will take over them with you and you will set down them at the lodging place which you will stay at it this night.

A přikažte jim, řkouce: Vezměte sobě odsud z prostřed Jordánu, s místa, na němž stály nohy kněžské nepohnutě, dvanácte kamenů, a vyneste je s sebou, a sklaďte v ležení, v kterémž přes tuto noc pozůstanete),

4 And he called Joshua to two [plus] the ten man whom he had appointed from [the] people of Israel a man one a man one from a tribe.

Že povolav Jozue dvanácti mužů, kteréž k tomu zřídil z synů Izraelských, po jednom muži z každého pokolení,

5 And he said to them Joshua pass over before [the] ark of Yahweh God your into [the] middle of the Jordan and take up for yourselves each a stone one on shoulder his to [the] number of [the] tribes of [the] people of Israel.

I řekl jim Jozue: Jděte před truhlou Hospodina Boha svého do prostřed Jordánu a vezměte sobě každý kámen jeden na rameno své, vedlé počtu pokolení synů Izraelských,

6 So that it may be this a sign in midst your if they will ask! children your tomorrow saying what? [are] the stones these to you.

Aby to bylo na znamení mezi vámi. Když by potom tázali se synové otců svých, řkouce: K čemu jsou vám ti kamenové?

7 And you will say to them that they were cut off [the] waters of the Jordan from before [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh when passed on it in the Jordan they were cut off [the] waters of the Jordan and they will become the stones these a reminder to [the] people of Israel until perpetuity.

Odpovíte jim, že se rozdělily vody Jordánské před truhlou smlouvy Hospodinovy, (když, pravím, šla přes Jordán, rozdělily se vody Jordánské), i zůstávají kamenové tito na památku synům Izraelským až na věky.

8 And they did thus [the] people of Israel just as he had commanded Joshua and they took up two [plus] ten stones from [the] middle of the Jordan just as he had said Yahweh to Joshua to [the] number of [the] tribes of [the] people of Israel and they took over them with them to the lodging place and they set down them there.

I učinili synové Izraelští tak, jakž přikázal Jozue, a vzali dvanácte kamenů z prostředku Jordánu, jakož mluvil Hospodin k Jozue, vedlé počtu pokolení synů Izraelských, a přinesli je s sebou na první stanoviště, a tu je složili.

9 And two [plus] ten stones he set up Joshua in [the] middle of the Jordan in [the] standing-place of [the] feet of the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of the covenant and they have been there until the day this.

Jozue také vyzdvihl dvanácte kamenů u prostřed Jordánu na místě, kdež stály nohy kněží nesoucích truhlu smlouvy, a byli tam až do tohoto dne.

10 And the priests [the] bearers of the ark [were] standing in [the] middle of the Jordan until was finished every thing which he had commanded Yahweh Joshua to speak to the people according to all that he had commanded Moses Joshua and they hurried the people and they passed over.

Kněží pak, jenž nesli truhlu, stáli u prostřed Jordánu, dokudž se nevyplnilo všeliké slovo, kteréž přikázal Hospodin Jozue, aby oznámil lidu podlé všeho, jakž byl přikázal Mojžíš Jozue. I pospíšil lid a přešli.

11 And it was just when it had finished all the people to pass over and it passed over [the] ark of Yahweh and the priests before the people.

Když pak již přešel všecken lid, přešla také truhla Hospodinova i kněží, an lid na to hledí.

12 And they passed over [the] descendants of Reuben and [the] descendants of Gad and [the] half of [the] tribe of Manasseh arrayed for battle before [the] people of Israel just as he had spoken to them Moses.

Přešli i synové Rubenovi a synové Gádovi, a polovice pokolení Manassesova, vojensky zpořádaní před syny Izraelskými, jakož byl mluvil k nim Mojžíš.

13 About forty thousand armed [men] of war they passed over before Yahweh for battle to [the] plains of Jericho.

Okolo čtyřidcíti tisíců oděných bojovníků šlo před Hospodinem k boji na roviny Jericha.

14 On the day that he made great Yahweh Joshua in [the] eyes of all Israel and they feared him just as they had feared Moses all [the] days of life his.

V ten den zvelebil Hospodin Jozue před očima všeho Izraele. I báli se ho, jako se báli Mojžíše po všecky dny života jeho.

15 And he said Yahweh to Joshua saying.

Mluvil pak Hospodin k Jozue, řka:

16 Command the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of the testimony so they may come up from the Jordan.

Přikaž kněžím, kteříž nesou truhlu svědectví, ať vystoupí z Jordánu.

17 And he commanded Joshua the priests saying come up from the Jordan.

I přikázal Jozue kněžím, řka: Vystupte z Jordánu.

18 And it was (just as came up *Q(K)*) the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh from [the] middle of the Jordan they were drawn out [the] soles of [the] feet of the priests to the dry ground and they returned [the] waters of the Jordan to place their and they went as yesterday three days ago over all banks its.

Když pak vystupovali kněží, jenž nesli truhlu smlouvy Hospodinovy, z prostřed Jordánu, jakž jen vytrhli kněží nohy na sucho, navrátily se vody Jordánské k místu svému, a tekly předce jako i prvé ve všech březích svých.

19 And the people they went up from the Jordan on the ten of the month first and they encamped at Gilgal on [the] edge of [the] east of Jericho.

Vyšed pak lid z Jordánu desátého dne měsíce prvního, položili se v Galgala k straně východní Jericha;

20 And two [plus] ten the stones these which they had taken from the Jordan he set up Joshua at Gilgal.

A dvanácte kamenů těch, kteréž vynesli z Jordánu, postavil Jozue v Galgala.

21 And he said to [the] people of Israel saying that they will ask! children your tomorrow fathers their saying what? [are] the stones these.

A mluvil k synům Izraelským takto: Když by se otázali potom synové vaši otců svých, řkouce: Co ti kamenové znamenají?

22 And you will make known to children your saying on the dry ground it passed over Israel the Jordan this.

Oznámíte synům svým a díte: Po suše přešel Izrael Jordán tento.

23 That he dried up Yahweh God your [the] waters of the Jordan from before you until had passed over you just as he did Yahweh God your to [the] sea of reed[s] which he dried up from before us until had passed over we.

Nebo vysušil Hospodin Bůh váš vody Jordánské před tváří vaší, až jste přešli, jakož učinil Hospodin Bůh váš moři Rudému, kteréž vysušil před tváří naší, až jsme přešli,

24 So as to know all [the] peoples of the earth [the] hand of Yahweh that [is] mighty it so that you may fear Yahweh God your all the days.

Aby poznali všickni národové země ruku Hospodinovu, že silná jest, a abyste se báli Hospodina Boha vašeho po všecky dny.
