Joshua 3
1 And he rose early Joshua in the morning and they set out from Shittim and they came to the Jordan he and all [the] people Israel and they stayed there before they passed over.
Și Iosua s-a sculat dis-de-dimineață; și au plecat din Sitim și au venit la Iordan, el și toți copiii lui Israel și au găzduit acolo înainte de a trece.
2 And it was from [the] end of three days and they passed the officers in [the] midst of the camp.
Și s-a întâmplat, după trei zile, că ofițerii au trecut prin oștire,
3 And they commanded the people saying when see you [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh God your and the priests the Levites carrying it and you you will set out from place your and you will go behind it.
Și au poruncit poporului, spunând: Când vedeți chivotul legământului DOMNULUI Dumnezeul vostru și pe preoții leviți purtându-l, atunci să plecați din locul vostru și să mergeți după el,
4 Nevertheless - a distance it will be between you (and between it *Q(k)*) about two thousand cubit[s] by measurement may not you draw near to it so that that you may know the way which you will go in it for not you have passed in the way from yesterday three days ago.
Totuși să fie o depărtare între voi și el, cam de două mii de coți după măsură; să nu vă apropiați de el, ca să cunoașteți calea pe care trebuie să mergeți, pentru că nu ați mai trecut pe această cale până acum.
5 And he said Joshua to the people consecrate yourselves for tomorrow he will do Yahweh in midst your wonders.
Și Iosua a spus poporului: Sfințiți-vă, fiindcă mâine DOMNUL va face minuni printre voi.
6 And he said Joshua to the priests saying lift up [the] ark of the covenant and pass over before the people and they lifted up [the] ark of the covenant and they went before the people.
Și Iosua le-a vorbit preoților, spunând: Ridicați chivotul legământului și treceți înaintea poporului. Și au ridicat chivotul legământului și au mers înaintea poporului.
7 And he said Yahweh to Joshua the day this I will begin to make great you in [the] eyes of all Israel that they will know! that just as I was with Moses I will be with you.
Și DOMNUL i-a spus lui Iosua: Astăzi voi începe să te înalț în văzul întregului Israel, ca să știe că, precum am fost cu Moise, tot astfel voi fi cu tine.
8 And you you will command the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of the covenant saying when come you to [the] edge of [the] waters of the Jordan in the Jordan you will stand still.
Și să poruncești preoților care poartă chivotul legământului, spunând: Când veți ajunge la marginea apei Iordanului, să stați nemișcați în Iordan.
9 And he said Joshua to [the] people of Israel draw near hither and hear [the] words of Yahweh God your.
Și Iosua a spus copiilor lui Israel: Apropiați-vă și auziți cuvintele DOMNULUI Dumnezeul vostru.
10 And he said Joshua by this you will know! that God living [is] in midst your and certainly he will dispossess from before you the Canaanite[s] and the Hittite[s] and the Hivite[s] and the Perizzite[s] and the Girgashite[s] and the Amorite[s] and the Jebusite[s].
Și Iosua a spus: Prin aceasta veți cunoaște că Dumnezeul cel viu este printre voi și că va alunga negreșit dinaintea voastră pe canaaniți și pe hitiți și pe hiviți și pe periziți și pe ghirgasiți și pe amoriți și pe iebusiți.
11 Here! [the] ark of the covenant [the] lord of all the earth [is] about to pass on before you in the Jordan.
Iată, chivotul legământului Domnului întregului pământ trece înaintea voastră în Iordan.
12 And therefore take for yourselves two [plus] ten man from [the] tribes of Israel a man one a man one to the tribe.
De aceea acum, luați-vă doisprezece bărbați din triburile lui Israel, un bărbat din fiecare trib.
13 And it will be when rest [the] soles of [the] feet of the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of Yahweh [the] lord of all the earth in [the] waters of the Jordan [the] waters of the Jordan they will be cut off! the waters that are coming down from to above so they may stand a heap one.
Și se va întâmpla, imediat ce tălpile picioarelor preoților care poartă chivotul DOMNULUI, Domnul întregului pământ, se vor odihni în apele Iordanului, că apele Iordanului se vor despărți de apele care coboară de sus și vor sta grămadă.
14 And it was when set out the people from tents their to pass over the Jordan and the priests [the] bearers of the ark the covenant before the people.
Și s-a întâmplat, când poporul a plecat din corturile sale, ca să treacă Iordanul și preoții au purtat chivotul legământului înaintea poporului;
15 And just as came [the] bearers of the ark to the Jordan and [the] feet of the priests [the] bearers of the ark they were dipped in [the] edge of the waters and the Jordan it is full over all banks its all [the] days of harvest.
Și în timp ce aceia care au purtat chivotul au ajuns la Iordan și picioarele preoților care au purtat chivotul s-au muiat în marginea apei (fiindcă Iordanul se revarsă peste toate malurile sale în toate zilele recoltei),
16 And they stood the waters which came down from to above they rose a heap one far away very (from Adam *Q(K)*) the city which [is] from [the] side of Zarethan and which went down to [the] sea of the Arabah [the] Sea of Salt they were complete they were cut off and the people they passed over before Jericho.
Că apele care veneau de sus au stat și s-au ridicat într-o grămadă foarte departe de cetatea Adam, care este lângă Țaretan; și cele care coborau spre marea câmpiei, chiar marea sărată, s-au oprit și s-au despărțit; și poporul a trecut în dreptul Ierihonului.
17 And they stood the priests [the] bearers of the ark [the] covenant of Yahweh on the dry ground in [the] middle of the Jordan firmly and all Israel [were] passing over on the dry ground until that they had finished all the nation to pass over the Jordan.
Și preoții care au purtat chivotul legământului DOMNULUI au stat ferm pe pământ uscat în mijlocul Iordanului și toți israeliții au trecut pe pământ uscat, până când toți oamenii au terminat de trecut Iordanul.
