Joshua 18
1 And they assembled all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel Shiloh and they caused to dwell there [the] tent of meeting and the land it was subdued before them.
Toàn dân Ít-ra-ên họp nhau tại Si-lô, dựng Đền Tạm lên.
2 And they remained among [the] people of Israel which not they had divided inheritance their seven tribes.
Tuy đất đã chinh phục xong, nhưng vẫn còn bảy đại tộc chưa lãnh phần mình.
3 And he said Joshua to [the] people of Israel until when? [will] you [be] showing yourself slack to go to take possession of the land which he has given to you Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your.
Giô-suê hỏi họ: “Đến bao giờ anh em mới đi chiếm đất Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em cho?
4 Provide for yourselves three men to the tribe so I may send them and they may arise so they may walk in the land so they may describe in writing it to [the] mouth of inheritance their so they may come to me.
Bây giờ mỗi đại tộc hãy chọn cho tôi ba người. Họ có nhiệm vụ đi khắp đất còn lại, khảo sát địa hình rồi trở về đây trình báo với tôi.
5 And they will divide among themselves it seven portions Judah it will remain on territory its from [the] south and [the] house of Joseph they will remain on territory their from [the] north.
Họ phải chia đất này thành bảy phần dựa theo địa lý—Giu-đa vẫn tiếp tục ở phía nam, Giô-sép phía bắc.
6 And you you will describe in writing the land seven portions and you will bring [it] to me hither and I will throw for you a lot here before Yahweh God our.
Và tôi sẽ bắt thăm cho bảy đại tộc trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của chúng ta.
7 For not a portion [will belong] to the Levites in midst your for [is] [the] priesthood of Yahweh inheritance its and Gad and Reuben and [the] half of [the] tribe of Manasseh they have received inheritance their from [the] other side of the Jordan east-ward which he gave to them Moses [the] servant of Yahweh.
Người Lê-vi sẽ không có phần, vì phần của họ là tế lễ phụng sự Chúa Hằng Hữu. Đại tộc Gát, Ru-bên, và phân nửa đại tộc Ma-na-se đã được Môi-se, đầy tớ của Chúa, cấp đất ở phía đông Sông Giô-đan rồi.”
8 And they arose the men and they went and he commanded Joshua those [who] went to describe in writing the land saying go and walk about in the land and describe in writing it and return to me and here I will throw for you a lot before Yahweh in Shiloh.
Vậy, những người ấy phải đi khắp phần đất còn lại, vẽ bản đồ, đem về trình báo cho Giô-suê, và dựa vào đó ông sẽ bắt thăm chia cho các đại tộc trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu tại Si-lô.
9 And they went the men and they passed in the land and they described in writing it to the cities into seven portions on a scroll and they came to Joshua to the camp Shiloh.
Họ theo đúng chỉ thị, chia đất ra làm bảy phần, vẽ bản đồ của mỗi phần và các thành trong phần đất ấy, rồi trở về trại quân ở Si-lô phúc trình cho Giô-suê.
10 And he threw for them Joshua a lot in Shiloh before Yahweh and he apportioned there Joshua the land to [the] people of Israel according to divisions their.
Tại Si-lô, Giô-suê bắt thăm chia đất cho bảy đại tộc trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, kết quả như sau:
11 And it came up [the] lot of [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Benjamin to clans their and it went out [the] territory of lot their [was] between [the] descendants of Judah and between [the] descendants of Joseph.
Thăm thứ nhất chỉ định đất cho con cháu của đại tộc Bên-gia-min. Lô đất này nằm giữa đất của Giu-đa và Giô-sép.
12 And it was to them the border of [the] side of north-ward from the Jordan and it goes up the border to [the] slope of Jericho from [the] north and it goes up in the hill country west-ward (and they are *Q(K)*) extremities its [the] wilderness of towards Beth Aven.
Biên giới phía bắc chạy từ Sông Giô-đan lên phía bắc Giê-ri-cô rồi về phía tây qua miền đồi núi và hoang mạc Bết-a-ven.
13 And it passes on from there the border Luz towards to [the] slope of Luz south-ward that [is] Beth-el and it goes down the border Ataroth Addar on the mountain which [is] from [the] south of Beth Horon lower.
Từ đó biên giới chạy về phía nam đến Lu-xơ (tức Bê-tên) rồi tiếp tục xuống đến A-ta-rốt A-đa trên cao nguyên, phía nam Bết-hô-rôn hạ.
14 And it turns the border and it turns to [the] side of [the] west south-ward from the mountain which [is] on [the] face of Beth Horon [the] south towards (and they are *Q(K)*) extremities its to Kiriath Baal that [is] Kiriath Jearim [the] city of [the] descendants of Judah this [is the] side of [the] west.
Biên giới đổi hướng chạy về phía tây nam qua hòn núi đối diện mặt nam Bết-hô-rôn, rồi chấm dứt ở Ki-ri-át Ba-anh tức Ki-ri-át Giê-a-rim của Giu-đa. Đó là biên giới phía tây.
15 And [the] side of [the] south [is] from [the] end of Kiriath Jearim and it goes out the border west-ward and it goes out to [the] spring of [the] waters of Nephtoah.
Biên giới phía nam chạy từ ngoại ô Ki-ri-át Giê-a-rim qua phía tây, thẳng đến suối Nép-thô-ách,
16 And it goes down the border to [the] end of the mountain which [is] on [the] face [the] valley of Ben Hinnom which [is] in [the] valley of [the] Rephaites north-ward and it goes down [the] valley of [Ben] Hinnom to [the] slope of the Jebusite[s] [the] south towards and it goes down En Rogel.
xuống đến chân hòn núi cạnh thung lũng của con trai Hi-nôm, phía bắc thung lũng Rê-pha-im. Từ đó, biên giới chạy xuống thung lũng Hi-nôm, qua phía nam đất Giê-bu, rồi tiếp tục xuống đến Ên-rô-ghên.
17 And it turns from [the] north and it goes out En Shemesh and it goes out to Geliloth which [is] opposite [the] ascent of Adummim and it goes down [the] stone of Bohan [the] son of Reuben.
Biên giới chuyển lên hướng bắc đến Ên-sê-mết, qua Ghê-li-lốt ở ngang dốc A-đu-mim, rồi chạy xuống đến Đá Bô-han (Bô-han là con Ru-bên).
18 And it passes on to [the] slope opposite to the Arabah north-ward and it goes down the Arabah towards.
Từ đó biên giới chạy về góc bắc của A-ra-ba, rồi chạy qua A-ra-ba.
19 And it passes on the border to [the] slope of Beth Hoglah north-ward (and they are [the] extremities of *Q(K)*) the territory to [the] bay of [the] Sea of Salt north-ward to [the] end of the Jordan [the] south towards this [is the] border of [the] south.
Biên giới tiếp tục chạy qua góc bắc của Bết-hốt-la, rồi chấm dứt ở vịnh bắc của Biển Mặn, ở cửa Sông Giô-đan. (Sông này chảy từ bắc xuống nam, đổ vào Biển Chết). Đó là biên giới phía nam.
20 And the Jordan it borders it to [the] side of east-ward this [was] [the] inheritance of [the] descendants of Benjamin to borders its around to clans their.
Biên giới phía đông là Sông Giô-đan. Đó là biên giới phần đất chia cho con cháu của đại tộc Bên-gia-min.
21 And they belonged the cities to [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Benjamin to clans their Jericho and Beth Hoglah and Emek Keziz.
Các thành trong lô đất của đại tộc Bên-gia-min gồm có: Giê-ri-cô, Bết-hốt-la, Ê-méc-kê-sít,
22 And Beth Arabah and Zemaraim and Beth-el.
Bết-a-ra-ba, Xê-ma-ra-im, Bê-tên,
23 And Avvites and Parah and Ophrah.
A-vim, Pha-ra, Óp-ra,
24 And Kephar (Ammonah *Q(K)*) and Ophni and Geba cities two [plus] ten and villages their.
Kê-pha, A-mô-rai, Óp-ni, và Ghê-ba,
25 Gibeon and Ramah and Beeroth.
Ga-ba-ôn, Ra-ma, Bê-ê-rốt,
26 And Mizpah and Kephirah and Mozah.
Mít-bê, Kê-phi-ra, Mô-sa
27 And Rekem and Irpeel and Taralah.
Rê-kem I-ê-bê-ên, Ta-ra-la,
28 And Zelah Haeleph and the Jebusite that [is] Jerusalem Gibeah Kiriath cities four-teen and villages their this [was] [the] inheritance of [the] descendants of Benjamin to clans their.
Xê-la, Ha-ê-lép, Giê-bu (tức Giê-ru-sa-lem), Ghi-bê-a, và Ki-ri-át Giê-a-rim—gồm hai mươi sáu thành với các thôn ấp phụ cận. Đó là phần đất cho con cháu của đại tộc Bên-gia-min.
