Joshua 18
1 And they assembled all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel Shiloh and they caused to dwell there [the] tent of meeting and the land it was subdued before them.

2 And they remained among [the] people of Israel which not they had divided inheritance their seven tribes.

3 And he said Joshua to [the] people of Israel until when? [will] you [be] showing yourself slack to go to take possession of the land which he has given to you Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your.
Da sa Josva til Israels barn: Hvor lenge vil I ennu dryge før I drar avsted og inntar det land Herren, eders fedres Gud, har gitt eder?
4 Provide for yourselves three men to the tribe so I may send them and they may arise so they may walk in the land so they may describe in writing it to [the] mouth of inheritance their so they may come to me.
Kom nu med tre menn for hver stamme! Så vil jeg sende dem ut, og de skal gjøre sig rede og gå igjennem landet og skrive op det de ser, for utskiftningens skyld, og så komme tilbake til mig.
5 And they will divide among themselves it seven portions Judah it will remain on territory its from [the] south and [the] house of Joseph they will remain on territory their from [the] north.
Del det så mellem eder i syv deler! Juda skal bli i sitt land mot syd, og Josefs hus skal bli i sitt land mot nord.
6 And you you will describe in writing the land seven portions and you will bring [it] to me hither and I will throw for you a lot here before Yahweh God our.
Og I skal skrive op alt det som er i landet, i syv deler, og komme hit til mig med det I har skrevet; så vil jeg kaste lodd for eder her, for Herrens, vår Guds åsyn.
7 For not a portion [will belong] to the Levites in midst your for [is] [the] priesthood of Yahweh inheritance its and Gad and Reuben and [the] half of [the] tribe of Manasseh they have received inheritance their from [the] other side of the Jordan east-ward which he gave to them Moses [the] servant of Yahweh.
For levittene får ingen del blandt eder, men Herrens prestedømme er deres arv; og Gad og Ruben og den halve Manasse stamme har fått sin arv på østsiden av Jordan - den arv som Moses, Herrens tjener, gav dem.
8 And they arose the men and they went and he commanded Joshua those [who] went to describe in writing the land saying go and walk about in the land and describe in writing it and return to me and here I will throw for you a lot before Yahweh in Shiloh.
Så gjorde mennene sig rede og gikk; og da de drog avsted, bød Josva dem å skrive op alt det de så i landet; han sa: Gå avsted og dra omkring i landet og skriv op alt det I ser der, og kom så tilbake til mig! Så vil jeg kaste lodd for eder for Herrens åsyn her i Silo.
9 And they went the men and they passed in the land and they described in writing it to the cities into seven portions on a scroll and they came to Joshua to the camp Shiloh.
Så gikk da mennene avsted og drog gjennem landet og skrev op det de så der, by for by, i en bok i syv deler; derefter kom de tilbake til Josva i leiren ved Silo.
10 And he threw for them Joshua a lot in Shiloh before Yahweh and he apportioned there Joshua the land to [the] people of Israel according to divisions their.
Og Josva kastet lodd for dem i Silo for Herrens åsyn; der skiftet Josva landet mellem Israels barn efter deres ættegrener.
11 And it came up [the] lot of [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Benjamin to clans their and it went out [the] territory of lot their [was] between [the] descendants of Judah and between [the] descendants of Joseph.
Først kom loddet ut for Benjamins barns stamme efter deres ætter; og det land som blev deres lodd, kom til å ligge mellem Judas barn og Josefs barn.
12 And it was to them the border of [the] side of north-ward from the Jordan and it goes up the border to [the] slope of Jericho from [the] north and it goes up in the hill country west-ward (and they are *Q(K)*) extremities its [the] wilderness of towards Beth Aven.
Og deres grense på nordsiden gikk ut fra Jordan og drog sig opover til fjellryggen i nord for Jeriko og derefter vestover op i fjellet og frem til ørkenen ved Bet-Aven.
13 And it passes on from there the border Luz towards to [the] slope of Luz south-ward that [is] Beth-el and it goes down the border Ataroth Addar on the mountain which [is] from [the] south of Beth Horon lower.
Derfra gikk grensen over til Luz, til fjellryggen i syd for Luz, det er Betel; og så gikk grensen ned til Atrot-Addar over det fjell som ligger sønnenfor Nedre-Bet-Horon.
14 And it turns the border and it turns to [the] side of [the] west south-ward from the mountain which [is] on [the] face of Beth Horon [the] south towards (and they are *Q(K)*) extremities its to Kiriath Baal that [is] Kiriath Jearim [the] city of [the] descendants of Judah this [is the] side of [the] west.
Så gjorde grensen en sving og bøide sig på vestsiden mot syd fra det fjell som ligger rett i syd for Bet-Horon, og den endte ved Kirjat-Ba'al, det er Kirjat-Jearim, en by som tilhørte Judas barn. Dette var vestsiden.
15 And [the] side of [the] south [is] from [the] end of Kiriath Jearim and it goes out the border west-ward and it goes out to [the] spring of [the] waters of Nephtoah.
På sydsiden gikk grensen fra enden av Kirjat-Jearim - der var det grensen begynte i vest - og frem til Neftoah-vannets kilde.
16 And it goes down the border to [the] end of the mountain which [is] on [the] face [the] valley of Ben Hinnom which [is] in [the] valley of [the] Rephaites north-ward and it goes down [the] valley of [Ben] Hinnom to [the] slope of the Jebusite[s] [the] south towards and it goes down En Rogel.
Så gikk grensen ned til enden av det fjell som ligger midt imot Hinnoms sønns dal, nordenfor Refa'im-dalen, og så ned i Hinnoms dal, i syd for jebusittenes fjellrygg, og derefter ned til En-Rogel.
17 And it turns from [the] north and it goes out En Shemesh and it goes out to Geliloth which [is] opposite [the] ascent of Adummim and it goes down [the] stone of Bohan [the] son of Reuben.
Så svinget den mot nord og gikk frem til En-Semes og videre til Gelilot, som ligger midt imot Adummim-skaret, og så ned til den sten som har navn efter Bohan, Rubens sønn.
18 And it passes on to [the] slope opposite to the Arabah north-ward and it goes down the Arabah towards.
Der tok den over til den fjellrygg som ligger rett i nord for Ha'araba, og gikk derefter ned til Ha'araba.
19 And it passes on the border to [the] slope of Beth Hoglah north-ward (and they are [the] extremities of *Q(K)*) the territory to [the] bay of [the] Sea of Salt north-ward to [the] end of the Jordan [the] south towards this [is the] border of [the] south.
Så tok grensen over til nordsiden av fjellryggen ved Bet-Hogla og endte ved den nordlige bukt av Salthavet, ved Jordans sydende. Dette var sydgrensen.
20 And the Jordan it borders it to [the] side of east-ward this [was] [the] inheritance of [the] descendants of Benjamin to borders its around to clans their.
På østsiden var Jordan grensen. Dette var Benjamins barns arvelodd med dens grenser rundt omkring, efter deres ætter.
21 And they belonged the cities to [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Benjamin to clans their Jericho and Beth Hoglah and Emek Keziz.

22 And Beth Arabah and Zemaraim and Beth-el.

24 And Kephar (Ammonah *Q(K)*) and Ophni and Geba cities two [plus] ten and villages their.

25 Gibeon and Ramah and Beeroth.

26 And Mizpah and Kephirah and Mozah.

28 And Zelah Haeleph and the Jebusite that [is] Jerusalem Gibeah Kiriath cities four-teen and villages their this [was] [the] inheritance of [the] descendants of Benjamin to clans their.
