< Joshua 13 >

1 And Joshua he was old he had come in days and he said Yahweh to him you you are old you have come in days and the land it remains much very to take possession of it.
Many years had passed by, and Joshua had grown old. The Lord spoke to him, saying, “You're now an old man, but there's still a great deal of land still to be taken.
2 This [is] the land which remains all [the] territories of the Philistines and all the Geshurite[s].
This is the remaining land: the territory of all the Philistines and all the Geshurites,
3 From the Shihor which - [is] on [the] face of Egypt and to [the] border of Ekron north-ward to the Canaanite[s] it is reckoned [the] five - [the] rulers of [the] Philistines the Gazite[s] and the Ashdodite[s] the Ashkelonite[s] the Gittite[s] and the Ekronite[s] and the Avvite[s].
from the Shihur River on the border with Egypt north to the border of Ekron—all of which is counted as Canaanite but comes under the five Philistine lords of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron. In addition there's the land of the Avvites
4 From [the] south all [the] land of the Canaanite[s] and Mearah which [belongs] to the Sidonians to Aphek towards to [the] border of the Amorite[s].
in the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians, all the way to Aphek on the border with the Amorites,
5 And the land of the Gebalite[s] and all Lebanon [the] rising of the sun from Baal Gad under [the] mountain of Hermon to Lebo Hamath.
as well as the land of the Gebalites and the Lebanon area from the town of Baalgad to the slopes of Mount Hermon to Lebo-hamath,
6 All [the] inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim all [the] Sidonians I I will dispossess them from before [the] people of Israel only make fall it to Israel an inheritance just as I have commanded you.
and the those who live in the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, including all the land of the Sidonians. I myself will drive them out ahead of the Israelites. Just allocate the land to Israel for them to own, as I have commanded you.
7 And therefore apportion the land this an inheritance to [the] nine the tribes and [the] half of the tribe Manasseh.
So divide this land among the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh for them to own.”
8 With it the Reubenite[s] and the Gadite[s] they had received inheritance their which he had given to them Moses on [the] other side of the Jordan east-ward just as he had given to them Moses [the] servant of Yahweh.
The other half of the tribe of Manasseh, and the tribes of Reuben and Gad, had already received their land grant on the east side of the Jordan, as allotted to them by Moses, the servant of the Lord.
9 From Aroer which [is] on [the] edge of [the] wadi of Arnon and the city which [is] in [the] middle of the wadi and all the plain Medeba to Dibon.
It stretched from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon valley, from the town in the middle of the valley, and all the plateau of Medeba, up to Dibon;
10 And all [the] cities of Sihon [the] king of the Amorite[s] who he reigned in Heshbon to [the] border of [the] people of Ammon.
and all the towns that belonged to Sihon, king of the Amorites, who ruled in Heshbon, up to the border with the Ammonites.
11 And Gilead and [the] territory of the Geshurite[s] and the Maacathite[s] and all [the] mountain of Hermon and all Bashan to Salecah.
In addition it included Gilead, the land of the Geshurites and Maacathites, all of Mount Hermon, and all of Bashan as far as Salecah,
12 All [the] kingdom of Og in Bashan who he reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei he he was left one of [the] remnant of the Rephaites and he had defeated them Moses and he had dispossessed them.
as well as all the land of the kingdom of Og of Bashan, who had ruled in Ashtaroth and Edrei. He was one of the last of the Rephaites. Moses had defeated them and driven them out.
13 And not they dispossessed [the] people of Israel the Geshurite[s] and the Maacathite[s] and it has dwelt Geshur and Maacah in [the] midst of Israel until the day this.
But the Israelites had not driven out the Geshurites or the Maacathites, who still live among them to this very day.
14 Only to [the] tribe of the Levite[s] not he gave an inheritance [the] fire offerings of Yahweh [the] God of Israel that [was] inheritance its just as he had spoken to it.
Moses did not allocate any land for the Levites to own. Instead they were allotted the offerings made by fire to the Lord, the God of Israel, as the Lord had promised them.
15 And he gave Moses to [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Reuben to clans their.
This was the land that Moses allotted to the tribe of Reuben, by families:
16 And it belonged to them the territory from Aroer which [is] on [the] edge of [the] wadi of Arnon and the city which [is] in [the] middle of the wadi and all the plain at Medeba.
Their territory stretched from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon valley, from the town in the middle of the valley, and all the plateau of Medeba;
17 Heshbon and all cities its which [are] in the plain Dibon and Bamoth Baal and Beth Baal Meon.
Heshbon and all associated towns on the plateau—Dibon, Bamoth Baal, Beth Baal Meon,
18 And Jahaz and Kedemoth and Mephaath.

19 And Kiriathaim and Sibmah and Zereth Shahar on [the] hill of the valley.
Kiriathaim, Sibmah, Zereth-shahar, on a hill in the valley,
20 And Beth Peor and [the] slopes of Pisgah and Beth Jeshimoth.
Beth-peor, the slopes of Pisgah, Beth-jeshimoth—
21 And all [the] cities of the plain and all [the] kingdom of Sihon [the] king of the Amorite[s] who he reigned in Heshbon whom he had defeated Moses him - and [the] leaders of Midian Evi and Rekem and Zur and Hur and Reba [the] princes of Sihon [who] dwelt of the land.
all the towns of the plateau and all the kingdom of Sihon, the Amorite king, who ruled in Heshbon. He was defeated by Moses, as well as the Midianite leaders Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, princes who lived in the kingdom and who were allied to Sihon.
22 And Balaam [the] son of Beor the diviner they killed [the] people of Israel with the sword to slain [ones] their.
At the same time the Israelites killed Balaam, son of Beor, the fortune-teller, along with the others who were slaughtered.
23 And it was [the] border of [the] descendants of Reuben the Jordan and a territory this [was] [the] inheritance of [the] descendants of Reuben to clans their the cities and villages their.
The Jordan was the boundary for the tribe of Reuben. This was the land, the towns and the villages, allotted to the tribe of Reuben, by families.
24 And he gave Moses to [the] tribe of Gad to [the] descendants of Gad to clans their.
This was the land that Moses allotted to the tribe of Gad, by families:
25 And it belonged to them the territory Jazer and all [the] cities of Gilead and [the] half of [the] land of [the] people of Ammon to Aroer which [is] on [the] face of Rabbah.
Their territory was Jazer, all the towns of Gilead, and half of the land of the Ammonites up to Aroer, near Rabbah;
26 And from Heshbon to Ramath Mizpah and Betonim and from Mahanaim to [the] territory of Lo Debar.
stretching from Heshbon to Ramath-mizpeh and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the Debir region.
27 And in the valley Beth Haram and Beth Nimrah and Succoth and Zaphon [the] remainder of [the] kingdom of Sihon [the] king of Heshbon the Jordan and a border to [the] end of [the] sea of Kinnereth [the] other side of the Jordan east-ward.
In the Jordan valley lay Beth-haram, Beth-nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon, king of Heshbon. The boundary ran along the Jordan up to the bottom end of the sea of Kinnereth and then ran east.
28 This [was] [the] inheritance of [the] descendants of Gad to clans their the cities and villages their.
This was the land, the towns and the villages, allotted to the tribe of Gad, by families.
29 And he gave Moses to [the] half of [the] tribe of Manasseh and it belonged to [the] half of [the] tribe of [the] descendants of Manasseh to clans their.
This was the land that Moses allotted to the half-tribe of Manasseh, that is half of the tribe of the descendants of Manasseh, by families:
30 And it was territory their from Mahanaim all Bashan all [the] kingdom of - Og [the] king of Bashan and all [the] villages of Jair which [are] in Bashan sixty citi[es].
Their territory stretched from Manahaim through the whole of Bashan, all the kingdom of Og, and all the towns of Jair in Bashan—sixty in all.
31 And [the] half of Gilead and Ashtaroth and Edrei [the] cities of [the] kingdom of Og in Bashan [belong] to [the] descendants of Makir [the] son of Manasseh to [the] half of [the] descendants of Makir to clans their.
Also included was Gilead, and Ashtaroth and Edrei, the towns of king Og in Bashan. This was the land allotted to the descendants of Machir, son of Manasseh, for half of them, by families.
32 These [are that] which he gave as a possession Moses in [the] plains of Moab from [the] other side of [the] Jordan of Jericho east-ward.
These were the allocations that Moses made when he was in the plains of Moab, on the other side of the Jordan, east of Jericho.
33 And to [the] tribe of the Levite[s] not he gave Moses an inheritance Yahweh [the] God of Israel he [was] inheritance their just as he had spoken to them.
However, Moses did not allot any land to the Levites, for the Lord, the God of Israel, had promised them that he would be their allocation.
