< Joshua 12 >

1 And these - [are] [the] kings of the land whom they defeated [the] people of Israel and they took possession of land their on [the] other side of the Jordan [the] rising of towards the sun from [the] wadi of Arnon to [the] mountain of Hermon and all the Arabah east-ward.

Hi sunt reges, quos percusserunt filii Israel, et possederunt Terram eorum trans Iordanem ad solis ortum, a torrente Arnon usque ad montem Hermon, et omnem Orientalem plagam, quæ respicit solitudinem.

2 Sihon [the] king of the Amorite[s] who dwelt in Heshbon [who] ruled from Aroer which [is] on [the] edge of [the] wadi of Arnon and [the] middle of the wadi and [the] half of Gilead and to Jabbok the wadi [the] border of [the] people of Ammon.

Sehon rex Amorrhæorum, qui habitavit in Hesebon, dominatus est ab Aroer, quæ sita est super ripam torrentis Arnon, et mediæ partis in valle, dimidiæque Galaad, usque ad torrentem Iaboc, qui est terminus filiorum Ammon.

3 And the Arabah to [the] sea of Kinnereth east-ward and to [the] sea of the Arabah [the] Sea of Salt east-ward [the] direction of Beth Jeshimoth and from [the] south under [the] slopes of Pisgah.

Et a solitudine usque ad Mare Ceneroth contra Orientem, et usque ad Mare deserti, quod est mare salsissimum, ad Orientalem plagam per viam quæ ducit Bethsimoth: et ab australi parte, quæ subiacet Asedoth, Phasga.

4 And [the] territory of Og [the] king of Bashan one of [the] remnant of the Rephaites who dwelt in Ashtaroth and in Edrei.

Terminus Og regis Basan, de reliquiis Raphaim, qui habitavit in Astaroth, et in Edrai, et dominatus est in monte Hermon, et in Salecha, atque in universa Basan, usque ad terminos

5 And [who] ruled over [the] mountain of Hermon and over Salecah and over all Bashan to [the] border of the Geshurite[s] and the Maacathite[s] and [the] half of Gilead [the] border of Sihon [the] king of Heshbon.

Gessuri, et Machati, et dimidiæ partis Galaad: terminos Sehon regis Hesebon.

6 Moses [the] servant of Yahweh and [the] people of Israel they defeated them and he gave it Moses [the] servant of Yahweh a possession to the Reubenite[s] and to the Gadite[s] and to [the] half of [the] tribe of Manasseh.

Moyses famulus Domini, et filii Israel percusserunt eos, tradiditque Terram eorum Moyses in possessionem Rubenitis, et Gaditis, et dimidiæ tribui Manasse.

7 And these [are] [the] kings of the land whom he defeated Joshua and [the] people of Israel on [the] other side of the Jordan west-ward from Baal Gad in [the] valley of Lebanon and to the mountain Halak which goes up Seir towards and he gave it Joshua to [the] tribes of Israel a possession according to divisions their.

Hi sunt reges Terræ, quos percussit Iosue et filii Israel trans Iordanem ad Occidentalem plagam, a Baalgad in campo Libani, usque ad montem, cuius pars ascendit in Seir: tradiditque eam Iosue in possessionem tribubus Israel, singulis partes suas,

8 In the hill country and in the Shephelah and in the Arabah and on the slopes and in the wilderness and in the Negev the Hittite[s] the Amorite[s] and the Canaanite[s] the Perizzite[s] the Hivite[s] and the Jebusite[s].

tam in montanis quam in planis atque campestribus. In Asedoth, et in solitudine, ac in meridie Hethæus fuit et Amorrhæus, Chananæus et Pherezæus, Hevæus et Iebusæus.

9 [the] king of Jericho one [the] king of Ai which [is] from [the] side of Beth-el one.

Rex Iericho unus: rex Hai, quæ est ex latere Bethel, unus:

10 [the] king of Jerusalem one [the] king of Hebron one.

rex Ierusalem unus, rex Hebron unus,

11 [the] king of Jarmuth one [the] king of Lachish one.

rex Ierimoth unus, rex Lachis unus,

12 [the] king of Eglon one [the] king of Gezer one.

rex Eglon unus, rex Gazer unus,

13 [the] king of Debir one [the] king of Geder one.

rex Dabir unus, rex Gader unus,

14 [the] king of Hormah one [the] king of Arad one.

rex Herma unus, rex Hered unus,
