Joshua 11
1 And it was when heard Jabin [the] king of Hazor and he sent to Jobab [the] king of Madon and to [the] king of Shimron and to [the] king of Acshaph.
Mikor pedig meghallotta ezt Jábin, Hásornak királya, külde Jobábhoz, Mádonnak királyához, és Simronnak királyához, és Aksáfnak királyához,
2 And to the kings who [were] from [the] north in the hill country and in the Arabah south of Kinnereth and in the Shephelah and on [the] heights of Dor from [the] west.
És azokhoz a királyokhoz, a kik laknak vala észak felé a hegységben, és a pusztában Kinneróttól délre, és a síkságon, és Dór magaslatain a tenger felé;
3 The Canaanite[s] from [the] east and from [the] west and the Amorite[s] and the Hittite[s] and the Perizzite[s] and the Jebusite[s] in the hill country and the Hivite[s] under Hermon in [the] land of Mizpah.
A Kananeushoz napkelet és napnyugat felé, és az Emoreushoz, a Khittheushoz, a Perizeushoz, a Jebuzeushoz a hegyek közé, és a Khivveushoz a Hermon alá, Mispának földére.
4 And they came out they and all armies their with them a people numerous like the sand which [is] on [the] shore of the sea for multitude and horse[s] and chariot[s] many very.
És kijövének ők és velök az ő egész táboruk, sok nép, olyan sok, mint a fövény, a mely a tenger partján van, és igen sok ló és szekér.
5 And they gathered all the kings these and they came and they encamped together to [the] water of Merom to wage war with Israel.
És összegyülének mindezek a királyok, és megindulának, és táborba szállának együttesen Méromnak vizeinél, hogy hadakozzanak Izráel ellen.
6 And he said Yahweh to Joshua may not you be afraid because of them for tomorrow about the time this I [am] delivering up all of them slain before Israel horses their you will hamstring and chariots their you will burn with fire.
Ekkor monda az Úr Józsuénak: Ne félj tőlök, mert holnap ilyenkorra mindnyájokat átdöfötten vetem az Izráel elé; lovaikat bénítsd meg, szekereiket pedig égesd meg tűzzel.
7 And he came Joshua and all [the] people of war with him on them at [the] waters of Merom suddenly and they fell on them.
Elméne azért Józsué és vele az egész hadakozó nép azok ellen a Mérom vizeihez nagy hirtelen, és reájok rohanának.
8 And he gave them Yahweh in [the] hand of Israel and they struck down them and they pursued them to Sidon great and to Misrephoth Maim and to [the] valley of Mizpah east-wards and they struck down them until not he had left to them a survivor.
És adá őket az Úr Izráelnek kezébe, és verék őket és űzék őket egészen a nagy Sidonig és Miszrefót-Majimig, és Mispának völgyéig napkelet felé, és leverék őket annyira, hogy senki sem maradt közülök életben.
9 And he did to them Joshua just as he had said to him Yahweh horses their he hamstrung and chariots their he burned with fire.
És úgy cselekedék velök Józsué, a mint megmondotta vala néki az Úr: az ő lovaikat megbénítá, szekereiket pedig tűzzel égeté el.
10 And he turned back Joshua at the time that and he captured Hazor and king its he struck with the sword for Hazor before it [was] [the] head of all the kingdoms these.
Majd visszafordula Józsué ugyanazon időben és bevevé Hásort, királyát pedig fegyverrel megölé (Hásor ugyanis mindezeknek az országoknak feje volt az előtt);
11 And they struck every person who [was] in it to [the] mouth of [the] sword they totally destroyed [them] not it was left any breathing thing and Hazor he burned with fire.
És levágának minden lelket, a mely benne vala, megölvén őket fegyver élével; nem maradt meg egy élő sem; Hásort pedig tűzzel égeté meg.
12 And all [the] cities of the kings these and all kings their he captured Joshua and he struck them to [the] mouth of [the] sword he totally destroyed them just as he had commanded Moses [the] servant of Yahweh.
És e királyoknak minden városát és minden királyukat is meghódoltatá Józsué, és megölé őket fegyver élével, kipusztítván őket, a mint megparancsolta vala Mózes, az Úrnak szolgája.
13 Only all the cities which were standing on mounds their not it burned them Israel except Hazor to alone it he burned Joshua.
Csak épen azokat a városokat nem égeté meg Izráel, a melyek halmokon állottak vala, kivéve Hásort, egyedül ezt égeté meg Józsué.
14 And all [the] booty of the cities these and the cattle they plundered for themselves [the] people of Israel only every man they struck to [the] mouth of [the] sword until had destroyed they them not they left any breathing thing.
És e városoknak minden zsákmányolni valóját, és a barmokat is magoknak zsákmányolák el Izráel fiai; csak az embereket hányák mind fegyver élére, míglen kipusztíták őket. Nem hagytak meg egy élőt sem.
15 Just as he had commanded Yahweh Moses servant his so he commanded Moses Joshua and so he did Joshua not he left undone anything from all that he had commanded Yahweh Moses.
A mint parancsolt az Úr Mózesnek, az ő szolgájának, úgy parancsolt Mózes Józsuénak, és úgy cselekedék Józsué, semmit el nem hagyott mindabból, a mit az Úr parancsolt vala Mózesnek.
16 And he took Joshua all the land this the hill country and all the Negev and all [the] land of Goshen and the Shephelah and the Arabah and [the] hill country of Israel and Shephelah its.
És elfoglalá Józsué mindazt a földet, a hegységet, az egész déli vidéket, az egész Gósen földét, úgy a síkságot, mint a pusztát, és Izráel hegyét és annak síkságát.
17 From the mountain Halak which goes up Seir and to Baal Gad in [the] valley of Lebanon under [the] mountain of Hermon and all kings their he captured and he struck them and he killed them.
A kopasz hegytől fogva, a mely Szeír felé emelkedik, egészen Baál-Gádig, a Libanon völgyében, a Hermon hegye alatt; királyaikat pedig mind elfogá és megveré és megölé őket.
18 Days many he did Joshua with all the kings these battle.
Sok napon át viselt hadat Józsué mindezekkel a királyokkal.
19 Not it was a city which it made peace to [the] people of Israel except the Hivite[s] [the] inhabitants of Gibeon everything they took in battle.
Nem volt város, a mely békességre lépett volna Izráel fiaival, kivéve a Gibeonban lakó Khivveusokat; haddal vették azt meg mind.
20 For from with Yahweh - it was to strengthen heart their to meet the battle with Israel so as to totally destroy them to not to belong to them favor for so as to destroy them just as he had commanded Yahweh Moses.
Mert az Úrtól volt az, hogy megkeményítvén szíveiket, haddal menjenek Izráel ellen, hogy eltörölje őket; hogy ne legyen nékik irgalom, hanem hogy elpusztítsa őket, a mint megparancsolta vala az Úr Mózesnek.
21 And he came Joshua at the time that and he cut off the Anakites from the hill country from Hebron from Debir from Anab and from all [the] hill country of Judah and from all [the] hill country of Israel with cities their he totally destroyed them Joshua.
Majd elméne Józsué ez időben, és kiirtá az Anákokat a hegyek közül Hebronból, Debirből, Anábból és Júdának minden hegyéből, és Izráelnek minden hegyéből; városaikkal együtt törlé el őket Józsué.
22 Not it was left Anakites in [the] land of [the] people of Israel only in Gaza in Gath and in Ashdod they remained.
Nem maradtak Anákok Izráel fiainak földén, csak Gázában, Gáthban és Asdódban hagyattak meg.
23 And he took Joshua all the land according to all that he had spoken Yahweh to Moses and he gave it Joshua to an inheritance to Israel according to divisions their to tribes their and the land it was at peace from war.
Elfoglalá azért Józsué az egész földet egészen úgy, a mint az Úr mondotta vala Mózesnek, és adá azt Józsué örökségül Izráelnek, osztályrészeikhez képest, nemzetségeik szerint. A föld pedig megnyugovék a harcztól.
