John 8
1 (Jesus however went to the Mount of Olives. *KO*)
En Jesus ging naar de Olijfberg.
2 (Early in the morning then again He came into the temple, and all the people were coming to Him, And having sat down He was teaching them. *KO*)
Maar ‘s morgens vroeg begaf Hij Zich weer naar de tempel, en al het volk kwam naar Hem toe. Hij ging zitten, en onderrichtte hen.
3 (Bring now the scribes and the Pharisees *KO*) (to him *K*) (a woman *KO*) (in *K(o)*) (adultery *KO*) (having been grasped *K(o)*) (and having set her in [the] midst *KO*)
Nu brachten schriftgeleerden en farizeën een vrouw naar Hem toe, die op overspel was betrapt; ze plaatsten haar in de kring,
4 (they say to Him, *KO*) (testing *O*) (Teacher, this woman *KO*) (was grasped *K(o)*) (in *ko*) ([the] very act committing adultery; *KO*)
en zeiden tot Hem: Meester, deze vrouw is op heterdaad van overspel betrapt.
5 (In now the law us Moses commanded such *KO*) (to be stoned; *K(o)*) (You yourself therefore what say You? *KO*)
Nu heeft Moses ons in de Wet geboden, dergelijke vrouwen te stenigen. Wat zegt Gij nu?
6 (This now they were saying testing Him so that they may have [grounds] to accuse Him. But Jesus down having stooped with [His] finger *KO*) (he was writing *K(o)*) (on the ground. *KO*) (not pretending *K*)
Dit zeiden ze, om Hem een strik te spannen, en tegen Hem een aanklacht te hebben. Maar Jesus boog Zich voorover, en schreef met de vinger op de grond.
7 (As however they were continuing asking Him, *KO*) (having stood up *K(o)*) (also *o*) (He said *KO*) (to *K*) (them *K(o)*) (The [one] sinless among you, *KO*) ([the] first *K(o)*) (at her *KO*) (*K*) (he should cast stone; *KO*)
En toen ze aanhielden met vragen, richtte Hij Zich op, en sprak tot hen: Wie van u zonder zonde is, werpe de eerste steen op haar!
8 (And again being stooped low being stooped low He was writing on the ground. *KO*)
Weer boog Hij Zich voorover, en schreef op de grond.
9 (And having heard *KO*) (and by conscience being convicted *K*) (they were going away one by one having begun from the elder ones *KO*) (until of the last *K*) (and He was left alone, *KO*) (Jesus *K*) (and the woman in [the] midst *KO*) (already standing. *K(o)*)
Toen ze dit hoorden, gingen ze heen, de een na den ander, maar de oudsten het eerst; en Jesus bleef alleen, de vrouw nog steeds in de kring.
10 (Having lifted up then Jesus *KO*) (and no one having seen only woman *K*) (said to her, *KO*) (the *K*) (woman, *K(o)*) (where are they *KO*) (they the accusers of you *K*) (No [one] you has condemned? *KO*)
Nu richtte Jesus Zich op, en sprak tot haar: Vrouw, waar zijn ze gebleven? Heeft niemand u veroordeeld?
11 (And she said, No [one], Sir. Said then *KO*) (to her *K*) (Jesus, Neither I myself you *KO*) (do condemn; *K(O)*) (do go and *KO*) (from now [on] *O*) (no more do sin. *KO*)
Ze zeide: Niemand, Heer. En Jesus sprak: Ook Ik veroordeel u niet; ga heen, en zondig voortaan niet meer.
12 Again therefore to them spoke Jesus saying; I myself am the light of the world. the [one] following Me myself certainly not (may walk *N(k)O*) in the darkness but will have the light of life.
Een ander maal richtte Jesus het woord tot hen, en sprak: Ik ben het licht der wereld. Wie Mij volgt, zal niet in de duisternis wandelen, maar het licht des levens bezitten.
13 Said therefore to Him the Pharisees; You yourself concerning Yourself are bearing witness; the testimony of You not is true.
Maar de farizeën zeiden tot Hem: Gij getuigt over Uzelf; uw getuigenis is dus niet geldig.
14 Answered Jesus and said to them; Even if Even if I myself shall be bearing witness concerning Myself, true is the testimony of Mine, because I know from where I came and where I am going; You yourselves however not know from where I come (or *N(k)O*) where I am going.
Jesus antwoordde hun, en sprak: Ook als Ik over Mijzelf getuig, is mijn getuigenis geldig; want Ik weet, vanwaar Ik gekomen ben en waarheen Ik ga; maar gij weet niet, vanwaar Ik kom, en waarheen Ik ga.
15 You yourselves according to the flesh judge, I myself not am judging no [one].
Gij oordeelt naar het vlees: Ik oordeel niemand.
16 And if shall judge however I myself, judgment My (true *N(k)O*) is, because alone not I am, but I myself and the having sent Me Father.
Maar al zou Ik ook oordelen, dan zou mijn oordeel geldig zijn; want Ik ben niet alleen, maar met Mij is de Vader, die Mij heeft gezonden.
17 And in the law also of you it has been written that of two men the testimony true is.
Welnu, in uw Wet staat geschreven: het getuigenis van twee mensen is geldig.
18 I myself am the [One] bearing witness concerning Myself, and bears witness concerning Me the having sent Me Father.
Ik ben het, die over Mijzelf getuig; maar ook de Vader, die Mij gezonden heeft, getuigt over Mij.
19 They were saying therefore to Him; Where is the Father of You? Answered (*k*) Jesus; Neither Me myself you know nor [know] the Father of Mine. If Me myself you had known also the Father of Mine then would you have known.
Ze zeiden Hem dan: Waar is uw Vader? Jesus antwoordde: Gij kent noch Mij, noch mijn Vader; zo gij Mij zoudt kennen, dan zoudt gij ook mijn Vader kennen.
20 These declarations He spoke (Jesus *k*) in the treasury teaching in the temple, and no [one] seized Him, for not yet had come the hour of Him.
Deze woorden sprak Jesus bij de schatkamer, tijdens zijn onderricht in de tempel. En niemand nam Hem gevangen, omdat zijn uur nog niet was gekomen.
21 He said then again to them (Jesus: *k*) I myself am going away and you will seek Me and in the sin of you you will die; where I myself go you yourselves not are able to come.
Een ander maal sprak Jesus tot hen: Ik ga heen, en gij zult Mij zoeken, en in uw zonde zult gij sterven. Waar Ik heenga, kunt gij niet komen.
22 Were saying therefore the Jews; surely not ever will He kill Himself, for He says; Where I myself go you yourselves not are able to come’?
De Joden zeiden: Hij zal toch geen zelfmoord plegen, dat Hij zegt: Waar Ik heenga, kunt gij niet komen?
23 And (He was saying *N(k)O*) to them; You yourselves from below are, I myself from above am; You yourselves of this the world are, I myself not am of world this.
Hij sprak tot hen: Gij zijt van beneden, Ik ben van boven; gij zijt van deze wereld, Ik ben niet van deze wereld.
24 I said therefore to you that you will die in the sins of you; only for unless you shall believe that I myself am [He], you will die in the sins of you.
Daarom heb ik u gezegd, dat gij sterven zult in uw zonden; want zo gij niet gelooft, dat Ik het ben, zult gij sterven in uw zonden. —
25 They were saying therefore to Him; You yourself who are? (and *k*) Said to them Jesus; From the beginning ([which] one *NK(o)*) also I am saying to you.
Ze zeiden Hem dan: Gijzelf, wie zijt Gij? Jesus zei hun: Eigenlijk gezegd, waarom zou Ik daarover nog met u spreken?
26 Many things I have concerning you to say and to judge; but the [One] having sent Me true is, and I myself and I myself what I have heard from Him, these things (I say *N(k)O*) to the world.
Over uzelf zou Ik veel kunnen zeggen, en oordelen. Maar Ik spreek tot de wereld, wat Ik gehoord heb van Hem, die Mij gezonden heeft; en Deze is waarachtig.
27 Not they understood that [about] the Father to them He was speaking.
Ze begrepen niet, dat Hij hun van den Vader sprak.
28 Said therefore to them Jesus; When you may have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I myself am [He], and from Myself I do no [thing], but even as taught Me the Father (of mine *ko*) these things I speak.
Jesus zeide hun dan: Wanneer gij den Mensenzoon omhoog zult hebben geheven, dan zult gij inzien, dat Ik het ben; en dat Ik niets doe uit Mijzelf, maar spreek, zoals de Vader Mij heeft geleerd.
29 And the [One] having sent Me with Me is; not He has left Me alone (Father *K*) because I myself the [things] pleasing to Him do always.
En Hij, die Mij gezonden heeft, is met Mij, en laat Mij niet alleen; omdat Ik altijd doe wat Hem behaagt.
30 These things when he is speaking many believed in Him.
Toen Hij aldus sprak, begonnen er velen in Hem te geloven.
31 Was saying therefore Jesus to the having believed in Him Jews; If you yourselves shall abide in the word of Mine, truly disciples of Mine you are,
Jesus zeide dan tot de Joden, die in Hem geloofden: Zo gij in mijn woord volhardt, zijt gij waarlijk mijn leerlingen;
32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set free you.
dan zult gij de waarheid kennen, en de waarheid zal u bevrijden.
33 They answered (unto *no*) (Him; *N(k)O*) Seed of Abraham we are and to no [one] have we been under bondage ever; How You yourself say that Free you will become’?
Men antwoordde Hem: We zijn kroost van Abraham, en nooit iemands slaaf geweest; hoe kunt Gij dus zeggen: Vrij zult gij worden?
34 Answered them Jesus; Amen Amen I say to you that everyone who is practicing the sin, a slave is of the sin.
Jesus antwoordde hun: Voorwaar, voorwaar, Ik zeg u: Wie zonde doet, is slaaf van de zonde.
35 Now the slave not abides in the house to the age; the (but *o*) son abides to the age. (aiōn g165)
De slaaf nu blijft niet altijd in huis; de zoon blijft er voor altijd. (aiōn g165)
36 If therefore the Son you shall set free, indeed free you will be.
Zo dus de Zoon u vrijmaakt, zult gij werkelijk vrij zijn.
37 I know that seed of Abraham you are; but you seek Me to kill, because the word of Mine not receives a place in you.
Ik weet, dat gij kroost van Abraham zijt; maar gij zoekt Mij te doden, omdat mijn woord geen ingang bij u vindt.
38 (Those which *N(k)O*) I myself have seen with the Father (of mine *K*) I speak; also you yourselves therefore (what things *N(k)O*) (you have heard *N(K)O*) from (the father *N(k)O*) (of you *K*) you do.
Ik spreek, wat Ik bij mijn Vader gezien heb; ook gij doet, wat gij van uw vader gehoord hebt.
39 They answered and they said to Him; The father of us Abraham is. Says to them Jesus; If children of Abraham (you are, *N(k)O*) the works of Abraham (you perform *NK(o)*) (then would. *k*)
Ze gaven Hem ten antwoord: Onze vader is Abraham. Jesus sprak tot hen: Zo gij kinderen zijt van Abraham, doet dan ook de werken van Abraham.
40 now however you seek Me to kill, a man who the truth to you has spoken that I heard from God; This Abraham not did.
Maar nu zoekt gij Mij te doden: een mens, die u de waarheid gezegd heeft, welke Hij van God heeft gehoord: zo iets deed Abraham niet.
41 You yourselves are doing the works of the father of you. They said therefore to Him; We ourselves of sexual immorality not (have been born; *NK(o)*) one Father we have God.
Gij doet de werken van uw vader. —Ze zeiden Hem dan: We zijn niet uit ontucht geboren, één Vader hebben we slechts, en dat is God.
42 Said (therefore *K*) to them Jesus; If God Father of you were, you were loving then would Me myself; I myself for from God came forth and am here. not for by Myself have I come, but He Me sent.
Jesus sprak tot hen: Zo God uw Vader was, dan zoudt gij Mij beminnen. Want van God ben Ik uitgegaan en gekomen; niet uit Mijzelf toch ben Ik gekomen, maar Hij heeft Mij gezonden.
43 Because of why the speech of Mine not do you understand? Because not you are able to hear the word of Mine.
Waarom begrijpt gij mijn taal niet? Omdat gij zelfs niet in staat zijt, om naar mijn woord te luisteren.
44 You yourselves of the father the devil are and the desires of the father of you you desire to do. He a murderer was from [the] beginning and in the truth not it has stood, because not there is truth in him. Whenever he may speak falsehood, from [his] own he speaks, for a liar he is and the father of it.
Gij hebt den duivel tot vader, en de zin van uw vader verkiest gij te doen. Hij was een moordenaar van den beginne; ook hield hij zich niet met de waarheid op, omdat er in hem geen waarheid is. Wanneer hij leugen spreekt, spreekt hij naar eigen aard; want hij is een leugenaar, en de vader daarvan.
45 I myself now because the truth speak, not you do believe Me!
En gij gelooft niet in Mij, juist omdat Ik de waarheid zeg.
46 Which of you convicts me concerning sin? If (now *k*) [the] truth I speak, because of why you yourselves not do believe Me?
Wie uwer overtuigt Mij van zonde? Zo Ik de waarheid zeg, waarom dan gelooft gij Mij niet?
47 He who is of God the declarations of God hears; because of this you yourselves not hear, because of God not you are.
Wie uit God is, luistert naar de woorden van God; daarom juist luistert gij niet, omdat gij niet uit God zijt.
48 Answered (therefore *K*) the Jews and said to Him; Surely rightly say we ourselves that a Samaritan are You yourself and a demon have?
De Joden antwoordden Hem: Zeggen we niet met recht, dat Gij een samaritaan zijt en van den duivel bezeten?
49 Answered Jesus; I myself a demon not have, but I honor the Father of Mine, and you yourselves dishonor Me.
Jesus antwoordde: Ik ben van geen duivel bezeten, doch Ik breng eer aan mijn Vader; maar gij, gij ontrooft Mij mijn eer.
50 I myself now not seek the glory of Mine; there is One seeking [it] and judging.
Niet, dat Ik mijn eigen eer zoek; daar is er Eén, die haar zoekt, en oordeelt.
51 Amen Amen I say to you; if anyone My word (*k*) shall keep, death certainly not shall he see to the age. (aiōn g165)
Voorwaar, voorwaar, Ik zeg u: Zo iemand mijn woord onderhoudt, dan zal hij in eeuwigheid de dood niet zien. — (aiōn g165)
52 Said therefore to Him the Jews; Now we have known that a demon You have. Abraham died and the prophets, and You yourself say; If anyone the word of Mine shall keep, certainly not (shall he taste *N(k)O*) of death to the age. (aiōn g165)
De Joden zeiden Hem: Nu weten we, dat Gij bezeten zijt! Abraham en de profeten zijn gestorven; en Gij zegt: Zo iemand mijn woord onderhoudt, zal hij de dood niet sterven in eeuwigheid. (aiōn g165)
53 Surely not You yourself greater are than the father of us Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Whom yourself (you yourself *k*) make You?
Zijt Gij dan groter dan onze vader Abraham? Hij is gestorven, en ook de profeten zijn gestorven! Voor wien houdt Gij Uzelf dan wel?
54 Answered Jesus; If I myself (shall glorify *N(k)O*) Myself, the glory of Mine no [thing] is; it is the Father of Mine who is glorifying Me [of] whom you yourselves say that God (of us *N(K)O*) He is,
Jesus antwoordde: Wanneer Ik Mijzelf verheerlijk, dan is mijn heerlijkheid niets; mijn Vader is het, die Mij verheerlijkt.
55 And not you have known Him, I myself however know Him. And if And if I shall say that not I know Him, I will be like (you *N(k)O*) a liar; But I know Him and the word of Him I keep.
Gij noemt Hem uw God, en toch erkent gij Hem niet. Maar Ik ken Hem wèl; en als Ik zeide, Hem niet te kennen, dan was Ik een leugenaar evenals gij. Ja waarlijk, Ik ken Hem, en zijn woord onderhoud Ik.
56 Abraham the father of you rejoiced in that he may see day of Mine and he saw and rejoiced.
Abraham, uw vader, zag juichend van blijdschap mijn dag tegemoet; hij heeft hem gezien en van vreugde gejubeld. —
57 Said therefore the Jews to Him; Fifty years [old] not yet are You, and Abraham You have seen?
Maar de Joden zeiden Hem: Gij zijt nog geen vijftig jaar oud, en Gij hebt Abraham gezien?
58 Said to them (*ko*) Jesus; Amen Amen I say to you; before Abraham being I myself am.
Jesus sprak tot hen: Voorwaar, voorwaar, Ik zeg u: Vóór Abraham werd, ben Ik.
59 They took up therefore stones that they might cast at Him. Jesus however hid Himself and He went forth out of the temple (having passed through through midst of them and He was passing by thus. *K*)
Toen grepen ze stenen, om Hem te stenigen; maar Jesus trok Zich terug, en verliet de tempel.
