< John 4 >

1 When therefore knew (Jesus *N(K)O*) that heard the Pharisees that Jesus more disciples makes and baptizes than John
Erile Morena a itse gore Bafarasai ba utlwile kaga bontsintsi jo bo yang kwa go ene go na le kwa go Johane go kolobediwa le go nna barutwa ba gagwe
2 and certainly indeed and certainly indeed and certainly indeed Jesus Himself not was baptizing but the disciples of Him
(ntswa Jesu ene ka boene a ne a sa ba kolobetse, go ne go kolobetsa barutwa ba gagwe).
3 He left Judea and went away again into Galilee.
A tswa mo Judea mme a boela kwa kgaolong ya Galalea.
4 It was necessary for now Him to pass through Samaria.
Mme a tshwanelwa ke go ralala Samaria a le mo tseleng.
5 He comes therefore to a city of Samaria being named Sychar, nearby the plot of ground that gave Jacob (*no*) to Joseph the son of him;
6 Was now there [the] well of Jacob. Therefore Jesus already wearying from the journey was sitting thus at the well; [The] hour was (about *N(k)O*) [the] sixth.
7 Comes a woman out of Samaria to draw water. Says to her Jesus; do give Me to drink.
Mme ka bofefo ga tla mosadi wa Mosamaria a tla go ga metsi, mme Jesu a mo kopa metse a go nwa.
8 For the disciples of Him had gone away into the city that food they may buy.
O ne a le nosi ka nako eo, barutwa ba gagwe ba ile kwa motseng go reka dijo.
9 Says therefore to Him the woman Samaritan; How You yourself a Jew being from me to drink you do ask a woman Samaritan being? Not for have association Jews with Samaritans.
10 Answered Jesus and said to her; If you had known the gift of God and who it is who is saying to you; do give Me to drink, you yourself then would you have asked Him and He gave maybe to you water living.
Mme Jesu a fetola a re, “Fa o ne o itsile gore Modimo o go tsholetse neo e e gakgamatsang jang, le gore ke nna mang, o kabo o nkopile metse a botshelo!”
11 Says to Him the woman: Sir, nothing to draw with You have, and the well is deep; from where then have You the water which is living?
O ne o tlaa tsaya kae metse a botshelo?
12 Not You yourself greater are [than] the father of us Jacob, who gave us the well, and himself of it drank and the sons of him and the livestock of him?
Kwa ntle ga moo, a o mogolo mo go rraarona mogolwagolwane Jakobe?
13 Answered (*k*) Jesus and said to her; Everyone who is drinking of water this will thirst again.
Jesu a fetola a re, “Batho ba tshwarwa ke lenyora ka bofefo fa ba sena go nwa metsi a.
14 who[ever] however maybe may drink of the water that I myself will give to him, certainly not (will thirst *N(k)O*) to the age, Instead the water that I will give to him it will become in him a spring of water welling up into life eternal. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
A ke a ba nayang, a nna motswedi wa bosakhutleng mo go bone. Mme metsi a. A ke a motswedi o o ba nose-tsang ka metlha ka botshelo jo bo sa khutleng.” (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
15 Says to Him the woman; Sir, do give me this water that not I may thirst nor (I may come *N(k)(o)*) here to draw.
Mme mosadi a mo raya a re, “Tswee-tswee rra, nnosa metsi ao! Hong ga ke na go tlhola ke nyorwa gape, le fa e le go tsamaya mosepele o moleele o wa go tla go ga metse fano malatsi otlhe.”
16 He says to her (*ko*) (Jesus: *KO*) do go do call the husband of you and do come here.
Mme Jesu a mo raya a re, “Tsamaya o ye go tla le monna wa gago.”
17 Answered the woman and said (to Him: *no*) Not I have a husband. Says to her Jesus; Correctly you have spoken that A husband not I have;
Mme mosadi a mo fetola a re, “Kana ga ke a nyalwa.”
18 Five for husbands you have had, and now he whom you have not is your husband; this truly you have spoken.
Jesu a re, “O bua boammaaruri Ka gore o kile wa nna le banna ba le batlhano, mme monna yo o nnang le ene gompieno jaana ga a go nyala.”
19 Says to Him the woman; Sir, I understand that a prophet are You yourself.
Mme mosadi a mo raya a re, “Rra, o tshwa-netse wa bo o le moporofiti.
20 The fathers of us on mountain this worshiped, and you yourselves say that in Jerusalem is the place where to worship it is necessary.
Mme he, mpolelela, ke eng fa lona Bajuta lo re Jerusalema ke lone fela lefelo la kobamelo-Modimo, fa rona Basamaria re re ke fano [mo Thabeng ya Gerasime] kwa borraa-rona mogolwagolwane ba neng ba obamela teng?”
21 Says to her Jesus; (do believe *N(k)O*) Me, woman, that is coming an hour when neither [you will worship] on mountain this nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.
Jesu a fetola a re, “Nako e e tla, mma, fa re tlaa bong re sa tlhole re tshwenyega ka gore a re obamela Rara fano kgotsa mo Jerusalema.
22 You yourselves worship what not you know, we ourselves worship what we know, for salvation of the Jews is.
Gonne ga go mo go reng re obamela kae, fa e se gore re obama jang, ebong gore a kobamelo ya rona ke ya semowa le ya boammaaruri? A re na le thuso ya Mowa O O Boitshepo?
23 But is coming an hour and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; also for the Father such seeks who worship Him.
Gonne Modimo ke Mowa, jalo re tshwanetse go nna le thuso ya one go o obamela jaaka re tshwanetse. Rara o batla one mofuta o wa kobamelo mo go rona.
24 Spirit God [is], and those worshiping Him in spirit and truth it behooves to worship.
Mme lona Basamaria lo itse go se kae fela kaga gagwe, lo obamela ka bofofu fa rona Bajuta re itse gotlhe kaga gagwe, gonne poloko e tla mo lefatsheng ka Bajuta.”
25 Says to Him the woman; I know that Messiah is coming, who is called Christ, when may come He, He will tell us (all things. *N(k)O*)
Mosadi a re, “Go siame, le fa go ntse jalo ke itse gore Mesia o tlaa tla, yo ba mmitsang Keresete, mme fa a tla o tlaa re tlhalosetsa sengwe le sengwe.”
26 Says to her Jesus; I myself am [He], who is speaking to you.
Hong Jesu a mo raya a re, “Ke nna Mesia!”
27 And upon this came the disciples of Him and (were amazed *N(k)O*) that with a woman He was speaking; no [one] however said; What seek You? Or Why speak You with her?
Mme erile gone foo fela barutwa ba gagwe ba goroga.
28 Left then the water pot of her the woman and went away into the city and says to the men;
Mme mosadi a tsamaya a tlogela nkgwana ya gagwe ya metsi fa thoko ga sediba a boela kwa motseng mme a feta a bolelela mongwe le mongwe jaana,
29 Come, do see a man who told me all things (as much as *NK(o)*) I did; surely not ever this is the Christ?
“Tlang lo bone monna yo o mpoleletseng sengwe le sengwe se ke neng ke tshela ke se dira! A e ka ne e le ene Mesia?”
30 They went forth (therefore *K*) out of the city and were coming unto Him.
Mme batho ba motse ba tla ba tsositse modumo ba ya go mmona.
31 But in (now *k*) the meantime were asking Him the disciples saying; Rabbi, do eat.
Erile ka lobakanyana fa mosadi a sa ntse a ile go bolelela batho kwa motseng, barutwa ba sala ba leka go kgothaletsa Jesu go ja.
32 But He said to them; I myself food have to eat that you yourselves not know.
Mme Jesu a ba fetola a re, “Nnyaa, ke na le dijo tse lo sa itseng kaga tsone.”
33 Were saying therefore the disciples to one another; Surely not one did bring to Him [something] to eat?
34 Says to them Jesus; My own food is that (I may do *N(k)O*) the will of the [One who] having sent Me and may finish of Him the work.
Mme Jesu a ba tlhalosetsa jaana a re: “Dikotla tsa me di mo go direng go rata ga Modimo o o nthomileng, le mo go fetseng tiro ya One.
35 Surely you yourselves say that yet (four months *N(k)O*) it is and the harvest comes? Behold I say to you; do lift up the eyes of you and do see the fields because white they are toward harvest already!
A lo gopola gore tiro ya thobo ga e na go simolola go fitlhelela selemo se fela mo dikgweding tse nne go simolola jaanong jaana? Lebang mo tikologong! Masimo a magolo a e leng mewa ya batho, a simolola go butswa mo tikologong yotlhe ya rona, ebile a setse a ka rojwa.
36 (and *k*) the [one] reaping a reward receives and he gathers fruit unto life eternal, so that (both *k*) who is sowing together may rejoice and who is reaping. (aiōnios g166)
Barobi ba tlaa duelwa tuelo e ntle, mme ba tlaa phuthela mewa e e bolokwang mo difalaneng tsa legodimo! Ke boitumelo jo bogolo jang jo bo letileng mojadi le morobi! (aiōnios g166)
37 In for this the saying is (*k*) true that One is who is sowing and another [is] the [one] who is reaping.
Gonne ke boammaaruri gore mongwe o a jala mme yo mongwe o a roba.
38 I myself sent you to reap what not you yourselves have toiled for; others have toiled, and you yourselves into the labor of them have entered.
Ke lo romile go roba kwa lo sa jalang teng; ba bangwe ba dirile tiro ya bone mme lona lwa amogela thobo.”
39 Out of now the city that many believed in Him of the Samaritans because of the word of the woman testifying that He told me all things (whatever *N(k)O*) I did.
40 When therefore came to Him the Samaritans, they were asking Him to abide with them. and He stayed there two days.
Erile ba ya go mmona kwa sedibeng, ba feta ba mo kopa go ya go nna mo motseng wa bone; mme a dira jalo, a nna malatsi a le mabedi,
41 And many more believed because of the word of Him,
a a neng a lekanye ba le bantsi go dumela mo go ene ba sena go mo utlwa.
42 and to the woman they were saying that no longer no longer because of your speech we believe; we ourselves for have heard and we know that this is truly the Savior of the world (the Christ. *K*)
43 After then the two days He went forth from there (and went away *K*) into Galilee.
Erile a sena go nna malatsi a mabedi, a ya Galalea
44 Himself for (*k*) Jesus testified that a prophet in the own hometown honor not has.
45 When therefore He came into Galilee, received Him the Galileans all things having seen (how much *N(k)O*) He had done in Jerusalem during the feast; also themselves for they had gone to the feast.
Mme Bagalalea ba feta ba mo amogela sentle ka diatla tsoo pedi gonne ba ne ba le mo Jerusalema ka moletlo wa Tlolaganyo le gore ba ne ba bonye dikgakgamatso dingwe tsa gagwe.
46 He came therefore (Jesus *k*) again to Cana of Galilee, where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son was sick in Capernaum.
Mo lobakeng lwa loeto lwa gagwe a raletse Galalea, o ne a goroga mo motseng wa Kana kwa a neng a kile a fetola metsi mofine teng. Erile a sale teng koo, monna mongwe mo motseng wa Kaperenama, yo e neng e le kgosana, yo morwawe o neng a lwala thata,
47 He having heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, went to Him and was asking (him *k*) that He may come down and He may heal his son; he was about for to die.
a utlwa gore Jesu o boile kwa Judea jaanong o mo Galalea. Monna yo a ya kwa Kana, a fitlhela Jesu, mme a kopa gore a ye le ene kwa Kaperenama go ya go fodisa morwawe yo a neng a le fa gare ga loso le botshelo.
48 Said therefore Jesus to him; only unless signs and wonders you [people] may see, certainly not shall you believe.
Mme Jesu a mmotsa a re, “A ga gona ope wa lona yo o dumelang mo go nna fa e se ke tswelela ka go dira dikgakgamatso?”
49 Says to Him the royal official; Sir, do come down before to die the child of mine.
Kgosana ya mo rapela ya re, “Rra, tswee-tswee itlhaganele pele ngwanake o a swa.”
50 Says to him Jesus; do go, the son of you lives. (and *k*) Believed the man in the word (that *N(k)O*) said to him Jesus, and he was going.
Mme Jesu a mo raya a re, “Boela kwa gae. Morwao o fodile!”
51 Already then when he is going down the servants of him (met *N(k)O*) with him (and reported *ko*) saying that the boy (of him *N(K)O*) lives.
Mme ya re fa a sale mo tseleng, bangwe ba batlhanka ba gagwe ba mo rakantsha ka mafoko a a reng sengwe le sengwe se siame, morwao o namologile mo bolwetseng.
52 He inquired therefore the hour from them in which better he got. (and *k*) They said (therefore *NO*) to him that Yesterday at hour seventh left him the fever.
A ba botsa gore mosimanyana o sale a simolola go ikutlwa botoka leng?
53 Knew therefore the father that [it was] in that [very] hour at which said to him Jesus (that: *k*) The son of You lives. And he believed himself and the household of him all.
54 This [is] (now *no*) again [the] second sign did Jesus having come out of Judea into Galilee.
