John 4
1 When therefore knew (Jesus *N(K)O*) that heard the Pharisees that Jesus more disciples makes and baptizes than John
जब मसीह येशु को यह मालूम हुआ कि फ़रीसियों के मध्य उनके विषय में चर्चा हो रही है कि वह योहन से अधिक शिष्य बनाते और बपतिस्मा देते हैं;
2 and certainly indeed and certainly indeed and certainly indeed Jesus Himself not was baptizing but the disciples of Him
यद्यपि स्वयं मसीह येशु नहीं परंतु उनके शिष्य बपतिस्मा देते थे,
3 He left Judea and went away again into Galilee.
तब वह यहूदिया प्रदेश छोड़कर पुनः गलील प्रदेश को लौटे.
4 It was necessary for now Him to pass through Samaria.
उन्हें शमरिया प्रदेश में से होकर जाना पड़ा.
5 He comes therefore to a city of Samaria being named Sychar, nearby the plot of ground that gave Jacob (*no*) to Joseph the son of him;
वह शमरिया प्रदेश के सूख़ार नामक नगर पहुंचे. यह नगर उस भूमि के पास है, जो याकोब ने अपने पुत्र योसेफ़ को दी थी.
6 Was now there [the] well of Jacob. Therefore Jesus already wearying from the journey was sitting thus at the well; [The] hour was (about *N(k)O*) [the] sixth.
याकोब का कुंआ भी वहीं था. यात्रा से थके मसीह येशु कुएं के पास बैठ गए. यह लगभग दिन का बारह बजे का समय था.
7 Comes a woman out of Samaria to draw water. Says to her Jesus; do give Me to drink.
उसी समय शमरियावासी एक स्त्री उस कुएं से जल भरने आई. मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “मुझे पीने के लिए जल दो.”
8 For the disciples of Him had gone away into the city that food they may buy.
उस समय मसीह येशु के शिष्य नगर में भोजन लेने गए हुए थे.
9 Says therefore to Him the woman Samaritan; How You yourself a Jew being from me to drink you do ask a woman Samaritan being? Not for have association Jews with Samaritans.
इस पर आश्चर्य करते हुए उस शमरियावासी स्त्री ने मसीह येशु से पूछा, “आप यहूदी होकर मुझ शमरियावासी से जल कैसे मांग रहे हैं?” (यहूदी शमरियावासियों से किसी प्रकार का संबंध नहीं रखते थे.)
10 Answered Jesus and said to her; If you had known the gift of God and who it is who is saying to you; do give Me to drink, you yourself then would you have asked Him and He gave maybe to you water living.
मसीह येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “यदि तुम परमेश्वर के वरदान को जानतीं और यह पहचानतीं कि वह कौन है, जो तुमसे कह रहा है, ‘मुझे पीने के लिए जल दो,’ तो तुम उससे मांगतीं और वह तुम्हें जीवन का जल देता.”
11 Says to Him the woman: Sir, nothing to draw with You have, and the well is deep; from where then have You the water which is living?
स्त्री ने कहा, “किंतु श्रीमन, आपके पास तो जल निकालने के लिए कोई बर्तन भी नहीं है और कुंआ बहुत गहरा है; जीवन का जल आपके पास कहां से आया!
12 Not You yourself greater are [than] the father of us Jacob, who gave us the well, and himself of it drank and the sons of him and the livestock of him?
आप हमारे कुलपिता याकोब से बढ़कर तो हैं नहीं, जिन्होंने हमें यह कुंआ दिया, जिसमें से स्वयं उन्होंने, उनकी संतान ने और उनके पशुओं ने भी पिया.”
13 Answered (*k*) Jesus and said to her; Everyone who is drinking of water this will thirst again.
मसीह येशु ने कहा, “कुएं का जल पीकर हर एक व्यक्ति फिर प्यासा होगा.
15 Says to Him the woman; Sir, do give me this water that not I may thirst nor (I may come *N(k)(o)*) here to draw.
यह सुनकर स्त्री ने उनसे कहा, “श्रीमन, आप मुझे भी वह जल दीजिए कि मुझे न प्यास लगे और न ही मुझे यहां तक जल भरने आते रहना पड़े.”
16 He says to her (*ko*) (Jesus: *KO*) do go do call the husband of you and do come here.
मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “जाओ, अपने पति को यहां लेकर आओ.”
17 Answered the woman and said (to Him: *no*) Not I have a husband. Says to her Jesus; Correctly you have spoken that A husband not I have;
स्त्री ने उत्तर दिया, “मेरे पति नहीं है.” मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “तुमने सच कहा कि तुम्हारा पति नहीं है.
18 Five for husbands you have had, and now he whom you have not is your husband; this truly you have spoken.
सच यह है कि पांच पति पहले ही तुम्हारे साथ रह चुके हैं और अब भी जो तुम्हारे साथ रह रहा है, तुम्हारा पति नहीं है.”
19 Says to Him the woman; Sir, I understand that a prophet are You yourself.
यह सुन स्त्री ने उनसे कहा, “श्रीमन, ऐसा लगता है कि आप भविष्यवक्ता हैं.
20 The fathers of us on mountain this worshiped, and you yourselves say that in Jerusalem is the place where to worship it is necessary.
हमारे पूर्वज इस पर्वत पर आराधना करते थे किंतु आप यहूदी लोग कहते हैं कि येरूशलेम ही वह स्थान है, जहां आराधना करना सही है.”
21 Says to her Jesus; (do believe *N(k)O*) Me, woman, that is coming an hour when neither [you will worship] on mountain this nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.
मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “मेरा विश्वास करो कि वह समय आ रहा है जब तुम न तो इस पर्वत पर पिता की आराधना करोगे और न येरूशलेम में.
22 You yourselves worship what not you know, we ourselves worship what we know, for salvation of the Jews is.
तुम लोग तो उसकी आराधना करते हो जिसे तुम जानते नहीं. हम उनकी आराधना करते हैं जिन्हें हम जानते हैं, क्योंकि उद्धार यहूदियों में से ही है.
23 But is coming an hour and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; also for the Father such seeks who worship Him.
वह समय आ रहा है बल्कि आ ही गया है जब सच्चे भक्त पिता की आराधना अपनी अंतरात्मा और सच्चाई में करेंगे क्योंकि पिता अपने लिए ऐसे ही भक्तों की खोज में हैं.
24 Spirit God [is], and those worshiping Him in spirit and truth it behooves to worship.
परमेश्वर आत्मा हैं इसलिये आवश्यक है कि उनके भक्त अपनी आत्मा और सच्चाई में उनकी आराधना करें.”
25 Says to Him the woman; I know that Messiah is coming, who is called Christ, when may come He, He will tell us (all things. *N(k)O*)
स्त्री ने उनसे कहा, “मैं जानती हूं कि मसीह, जिन्हें ख्रिस्त कहा जाता है, आ रहे हैं. जब वह आएंगे तो सब कुछ साफ़ कर देंगे.”
26 Says to her Jesus; I myself am [He], who is speaking to you.
मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “जो तुमसे बातें कर रहा है, वही तो मैं ही हूं.”
27 And upon this came the disciples of Him and (were amazed *N(k)O*) that with a woman He was speaking; no [one] however said; What seek You? Or Why speak You with her?
तभी उनके शिष्य आ गए और मसीह येशु को एक स्त्री से बातें करते देख दंग रह गए, फिर भी किसी ने उनसे यह पूछने का साहस नहीं किया कि वह एक स्त्री से बातें क्यों कर रहे थे या उससे क्या जानना चाहते थे.
28 Left then the water pot of her the woman and went away into the city and says to the men;
अपना घड़ा वहीं छोड़ वह स्त्री नगर में जाकर लोगों को बताने लगी,
29 Come, do see a man who told me all things (as much as *NK(o)*) I did; surely not ever this is the Christ?
“आओ, एक व्यक्ति को देखो, जिन्होंने मेरे जीवन की सारी बातें सुना दी हैं. कहीं यही तो मसीह नहीं?”
30 They went forth (therefore *K*) out of the city and were coming unto Him.
तब नगरवासी मसीह येशु को देखने वहां आने लगे.
31 But in (now *k*) the meantime were asking Him the disciples saying; Rabbi, do eat.
इसी बीच शिष्यों ने मसीह येशु से विनती की, “रब्बी, कुछ खा लीजिए.”
32 But He said to them; I myself food have to eat that you yourselves not know.
मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “मेरे पास खाने के लिए ऐसा भोजन है, जिसके विषय में तुम कुछ नहीं जानते.”
33 Were saying therefore the disciples to one another; Surely not one did bring to Him [something] to eat?
इस पर शिष्य आपस में पूछताछ करने लगे, “कहीं कोई गुरु के लिए भोजन तो नहीं लाया?”
34 Says to them Jesus; My own food is that (I may do *N(k)O*) the will of the [One who] having sent Me and may finish of Him the work.
मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “अपने भेजनेवाले, की इच्छा पूरी करना तथा उनका काम समाप्त करना ही मेरा भोजन है.
35 Surely you yourselves say that yet (four months *N(k)O*) it is and the harvest comes? Behold I say to you; do lift up the eyes of you and do see the fields because white they are toward harvest already!
क्या तुम यह नहीं कहते कि कटनी में चार महीने बचे हैं? किंतु मैं तुमसे कहता हूं कि खेतों पर दृष्टि डालो. वे कब से कटनी के लिए पक चुके हैं.
36 (and *k*) the [one] reaping a reward receives and he gathers fruit unto life eternal, so that (both *k*) who is sowing together may rejoice and who is reaping. (aiōnios g166)
इकट्ठा करनेवाला अपनी मज़दूरी प्राप्त कर अनंत काल के जीवन के लिए फसल इकट्ठी कर रहा है कि किसान और इकट्ठा करनेवाला दोनों मिलकर आनंद मनाएं. (aiōnios g166)
37 In for this the saying is (*k*) true that One is who is sowing and another [is] the [one] who is reaping.
यहां यह कहावत ठीक बैठती है: ‘एक बोए दूसरा काटे.’
38 I myself sent you to reap what not you yourselves have toiled for; others have toiled, and you yourselves into the labor of them have entered.
जिस उपज के लिए तुमने कोई परिश्रम नहीं किया, उसी को काटने मैंने तुम्हें भेजा है. परिश्रम अन्य लोगों ने किया और तुम उनके प्रतिफल में शामिल हो गए.”
39 Out of now the city that many believed in Him of the Samaritans because of the word of the woman testifying that He told me all things (whatever *N(k)O*) I did.
अनेक शमरियावासियों ने उस स्त्री की इस गवाही के कारण मसीह येशु में विश्वास किया: “आओ, एक व्यक्ति को देखो, जिन्होंने मेरे जीवन की सारी बातें सुना दी हैं.”
40 When therefore came to Him the Samaritans, they were asking Him to abide with them. and He stayed there two days.
तब शमरियावासियों की विनती पर मसीह येशु दो दिन तक उनके मध्य रहे
41 And many more believed because of the word of Him,
और उनका प्रवचन सुनकर अनेकों ने उनमें विश्वास किया.
42 and to the woman they were saying that no longer no longer because of your speech we believe; we ourselves for have heard and we know that this is truly the Savior of the world (the Christ. *K*)
उन्होंने उस स्त्री से कहा, “अब हम मात्र तुम्हारे कहने से ही इनमें विश्वास नहीं करते, हमने अब इन्हें स्वयं सुना है और जान गए हैं कि यही वास्तव में संसार के उद्धारकर्ता हैं.”
43 After then the two days He went forth from there (and went away *K*) into Galilee.
दो दिन बाद मसीह येशु ने गलील प्रदेश की ओर प्रस्थान किया.
44 Himself for (*k*) Jesus testified that a prophet in the own hometown honor not has.
यद्यपि मसीह येशु स्वयं स्पष्ट कर चुके थे कि भविष्यवक्ता को अपने ही देश में सम्मान नहीं मिलता,
45 When therefore He came into Galilee, received Him the Galileans all things having seen (how much *N(k)O*) He had done in Jerusalem during the feast; also themselves for they had gone to the feast.
गलील प्रदेश पहुंचने पर गलीलवासियों ने उनका स्वागत किया क्योंकि वे फ़सह उत्सव के समय येरूशलेम में मसीह येशु द्वारा किए गए काम देख चुके थे.
46 He came therefore (Jesus *k*) again to Cana of Galilee, where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son was sick in Capernaum.
मसीह येशु दोबारा गलील प्रदेश के काना नगर में आए, जहां उन्होंने जल को दाखरस में बदला था. कफ़रनहूम नगर में एक राजकर्मचारी था, जिसका पुत्र अस्वस्थ था.
47 He having heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, went to Him and was asking (him *k*) that He may come down and He may heal his son; he was about for to die.
यह सुनकर कि मसीह येशु यहूदिया प्रदेश से गलील में आए हुए हैं, उसने आकर मसीह येशु से विनती की कि वह चलकर उसके पुत्र को स्वस्थ कर दें, जो मृत्यु-शय्या पर है.
48 Said therefore Jesus to him; only unless signs and wonders you [people] may see, certainly not shall you believe.
इस पर मसीह येशु ने उसे झिड़की देते हुए कहा, “तुम लोग तो चिह्न और चमत्कार देखे बिना विश्वास ही नहीं करते!”
49 Says to Him the royal official; Sir, do come down before to die the child of mine.
राजकर्मचारी ने उनसे दोबारा विनती की, “श्रीमन, इससे पूर्व कि मेरे बालक की मृत्यु हो, कृपया मेरे साथ चलें.”
50 Says to him Jesus; do go, the son of you lives. (and *k*) Believed the man in the word (that *N(k)O*) said to him Jesus, and he was going.
मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “जाओ, तुम्हारा पुत्र जीवित रहेगा.” उस व्यक्ति ने मसीह येशु के वचन पर विश्वास किया और घर लौट गया.
51 Already then when he is going down the servants of him (met *N(k)O*) with him (and reported *ko*) saying that the boy (of him *N(K)O*) lives.
जब वह मार्ग में ही था, उसके दास उसे मिल गए और उन्होंने उसे सूचना दी, “स्वामी, आपका पुत्र स्वस्थ हो गया है.”
52 He inquired therefore the hour from them in which better he got. (and *k*) They said (therefore *NO*) to him that Yesterday at hour seventh left him the fever.
“वह किस समय से स्वस्थ होने लगा था?” उसने उनसे पूछा. उन्होंने कहा, “कल लगभग दोपहर एक बजे उसका ज्वर उतर गया.”
53 Knew therefore the father that [it was] in that [very] hour at which said to him Jesus (that: *k*) The son of You lives. And he believed himself and the household of him all.
पिता समझ गया कि यह ठीक उसी समय हुआ जब मसीह येशु ने कहा था, “तुम्हारा पुत्र जीवित रहेगा.” इस पर उसने और उसके सारे परिवार ने मसीह येशु में विश्वास किया.
54 This [is] (now *no*) again [the] second sign did Jesus having come out of Judea into Galilee.
यह दूसरा अद्भुत चिह्न था, जो मसीह येशु ने यहूदिया प्रदेश से लौटकर गलील प्रदेश में किया.
