John 18
1 These things having said (*ko*) Jesus went out with the disciples of Him beyond the winter stream (of the *N(k)O*) of Kidron where there was a garden into which entered He himself and the disciples of Him.
தா: கதா²: கத²யித்வா யீஸு²: ஸி²ஷ்யாநாதா³ய கித்³ரோந்நாமகம்’ ஸ்ரோத உத்தீர்ய்ய ஸி²ஷ்யை: ஸஹ தத்ரத்யோத்³யாநம்’ ப்ராவிஸ²த்|
2 Knew now also Judas who is delivering up Him the place, because often gathered together (*ko*) Jesus there with the disciples of Him.
கிந்து விஸ்²வாஸகா⁴தியிஹூதா³ஸ்தத் ஸ்தா²நம்’ பரிசீயதே யதோ யீஸு²: ஸி²ஷ்யை: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ கதா³சித் தத் ஸ்தா²நம் அக³ச்ச²த்|
3 Therefore Judas having procured the cohort and from the chief priests and from the Pharisees officers comes there with lanterns and torches and weapons.
ததா³ ஸ யிஹூதா³: ஸைந்யக³ணம்’ ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகாநாம்’ பி²ரூஸி²நாஞ்ச பதா³திக³ணஞ்ச க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா ப்ரதீ³பாந் உல்காந் அஸ்த்ராணி சாதா³ய தஸ்மிந் ஸ்தா²ந உபஸ்தி²தவாந்|
4 Jesus (therefore *NK(o)*) knowing all things that are coming upon Him (he went out *N(k)O*) (also *no*) (speaks *N(k)O*) to them; Whom seek you?
ஸ்வம்’ ப்ரதி யத்³ க⁴டிஷ்யதே தஜ் ஜ்ஞாத்வா யீஸு²ரக்³ரேஸர: ஸந் தாநப்ரு’ச்ச²த் கம்’ க³வேஷயத²?
5 They answered to Him; Jesus of Nazareth. He says to them (*ko*) (Jesus: *KO*) I myself am [He]. Had been standing now also Judas who is delivering up Him with them.
தே ப்ரத்யவத³ந், நாஸரதீயம்’ யீஸு²ம்’; ததோ யீஸு²ரவாதீ³த்³ அஹமேவ ஸ: ; தை: ஸஹ விஸ்²வாஸகா⁴தீ யிஹூதா³ஸ்²சாதிஷ்ட²த்|
6 When therefore He said to them (that: *k*) I myself am [He], they drew toward the back and fell to [the] ground.
ததா³ஹமேவ ஸ தஸ்யைதாம்’ கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வைவ தே பஸ்²சாதே³த்ய பூ⁴மௌ பதிதா: |
7 Again therefore He questioned them: Whom seek you? And they said; Jesus of Nazareth.
ததோ யீஸு²: புநரபி ப்ரு’ஷ்ட²வாந் கம்’ க³வேஷயத²? ததஸ்தே ப்ரத்யவத³ந் நாஸரதீயம்’ யீஸு²ம்’|
8 Answered (*k*) Jesus; I have told you that I myself am [He]. If therefore Me myself you seek, do allow these to go away;
ததா³ யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யுதி³தவாந் அஹமேவ ஸ இமாம்’ கதா²மசகத²ம்; யதி³ மாமந்விச்ச²த² தர்ஹீமாந் க³ந்தும்’ மா வாரயத|
9 so that may be fulfilled the word that He had spoken that Those whom You have given Me not I lost of them not [one].
இத்த²ம்’ பூ⁴தே மஹ்யம்’ யால்லோகாந் அத³தா³ஸ்தேஷாம் ஏகமபி நாஹாரயம் இமாம்’ யாம்’ கதா²ம்’ ஸ ஸ்வயமகத²யத் ஸா கதா² ஸப²லா ஜாதா|
10 Simon then Peter having a sword drew it and he struck the of the high priest servant and cut off of him the (ear *N(k)O*) right; Was now name of the servant Malchus.
ததா³ ஸி²மோந்பிதரஸ்ய நிகடே க²ங்க³ல்ஸ்தி²தே: ஸ தம்’ நிஷ்கோஷம்’ க்ரு’த்வா மஹாயாஜகஸ்ய மால்க²நாமாநம்’ தா³ஸம் ஆஹத்ய தஸ்ய த³க்ஷிணகர்ணம்’ சி²ந்நவாந்|
11 Said therefore Jesus to Peter; do put the sword (of you *k*) into the sheath. The cup which has given Me the Father certainly surely shall I drink it?
ததோ யீஸு²: பிதரம் அவத³த், க²ங்க³ம்’ கோஷே ஸ்தா²பய மம பிதா மஹ்யம்’ பாதும்’ யம்’ கம்’ஸம் அத³தா³த் தேநாஹம்’ கிம்’ ந பாஸ்யாமி?
12 Then the cohort and the commander and the officers of the Jews took hold of Jesus and bound Him
ததா³ ஸைந்யக³ண: ஸேநாபதி ர்யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ பதா³தயஸ்²ச யீஸு²ம்’ க்⁴ரு’த்வா ப³த்³த்⁴வா ஹாநந்நாம்ந: கியபா²: ஸ்²வஸு²ரஸ்ய ஸமீபம்’ ப்ரத²மம் அநயந்|
13 and (they brought away *N(k)O*) (him *k*) to Annas first; he was for father-in-law of Caiaphas who was high priest on the year same.
ஸ கியபா²ஸ்தஸ்மிந் வத்ஸரே மஹாயாஜத்வபதே³ நியுக்த:
14 Was now Caiaphas the [one] having given counsel to the Jews that it is profitable for one man (to die *N(k)O*) for the people.
ஸந் ஸாதா⁴ரணலோகாநாம்’ மங்க³லார்த²ம் ஏகஜநஸ்ய மரணமுசிதம் இதி யிஹூதீ³யை: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம் அமந்த்ரயத்|
15 Were following now after Jesus Simon Peter and (the *ko*) other disciple. the Now disciple that [one] was known to the high priest also he entered with Jesus into the court of the high priest.
ததா³ ஸி²மோந்பிதரோ(அ)ந்யைகஸி²ஷ்யஸ்²ச யீஸோ²: பஸ்²சாத்³ அக³ச்ச²தாம்’ தஸ்யாந்யஸி²ஷ்யஸ்ய மஹாயாஜகேந பரிசிதத்வாத் ஸ யீஸு²நா ஸஹ மஹாயாஜகஸ்யாட்டாலிகாம்’ ப்ராவிஸ²த்|
16 But Peter had stood at the door outside. Went out therefore the disciple other (who *N(k)O*) (was *k*) known (to the high priest *N(k)O*) and spoke to the doorkeeper and brought in Peter.
கிந்து பிதரோ ப³ஹிர்த்³வாரஸ்ய ஸமீபே(அ)திஷ்ட²த்³ அதஏவ மஹாயாஜகேந பரிசித: ஸ ஸி²ஷ்ய: புநர்ப³ஹிர்க³த்வா தௌ³வாயிகாயை கத²யித்வா பிதரம் அப்⁴யந்தரம் ஆநயத்|
17 Says therefore to Peter the servant girl the doorkeeper: Surely also you yourself of the disciples are of the man this? Says he; Not I am.
ததா³ ஸ த்³வாரரக்ஷிகா பிதரம் அவத³த் த்வம்’ கிம்’ ந தஸ்ய மாநவஸ்ய ஸி²ஷ்ய: ? தத: ஸோவத³த்³ அஹம்’ ந ப⁴வாமி|
18 Had been standing now the servants and the officers a fire of coals having made, for cold it was and they were warming themselves; Was now (also *no*) Peter with them having stood and warming himself.
தத: பரம்’ யத்ஸ்தா²நே தா³ஸா: பதா³தயஸ்²ச ஸீ²தஹேதோரங்கா³ரை ர்வஹ்நிம்’ ப்ரஜ்வால்ய தாபம்’ ஸேவிதவந்தஸ்தத்ஸ்தா²நே பிதரஸ்திஷ்ட²ந் தை: ஸஹ வஹ்நிதாபம்’ ஸேவிதும் ஆரப⁴த|
19 Then the high priest questioned Jesus concerning the disciples of Him and concerning the teaching of Him.
ததா³ ஸி²ஷ்யேஷூபதே³ஸே² ச மஹாயாஜகேந யீஸு²: ப்ரு’ஷ்ட:
20 Answered to him (*k*) Jesus; I myself openly (have spoken *N(k)O*) to the world. I myself always taught in (the *k*) synagogue and in the temple where (all *N(K)O*) the Jews come together, and in secret I spoke not [anything].
ஸந் ப்ரத்யுக்தவாந் ஸர்வ்வலோகாநாம்’ ஸமக்ஷம்’ கதா²மகத²யம்’ கு³ப்தம்’ காமபி கதா²ம்’ ந கத²யித்வா யத் ஸ்தா²நம்’ யிஹூதீ³யா: ஸததம்’ க³ச்ச²ந்தி தத்ர ப⁴ஜநகே³ஹே மந்தி³ரே சாஸி²க்ஷயம்’|
21 Why Me (do you ask? do ask *N(k)O*) those having heard what I spoke to them. behold they know what said I myself.
மத்த: குத: ப்ரு’ச்ச²ஸி? யே ஜநா மது³பதே³ஸ²ம் அஸ்²ரு’ண்வந் தாநேவ ப்ரு’ச்ச² யத்³யத்³ அவத³ம்’ தே தத் ஜாநிந்த|
22 These things now of Him having said one already standing by of the officers gave a blow with the palm to Jesus having said; Thus answer You to the high priest?
ததே³த்த²ம்’ ப்ரத்யுதி³தத்வாத் நிகடஸ்த²பதா³தி ர்யீஸு²ம்’ சபேடேநாஹத்ய வ்யாஹரத் மஹாயாஜகம் ஏவம்’ ப்ரதிவத³ஸி?
23 Answered to him (*k*) Jesus; If evil I spoke, do bear witness concerning the evil; if however rightly, why Me strike you?
ததோ யீஸு²: ப்ரதிக³தி³தவாந் யத்³யயதா²ர்த²ம் அசகத²ம்’ தர்ஹி தஸ்யாயதா²ர்த²ஸ்ய ப்ரமாணம்’ தே³ஹி, கிந்து யதி³ யதா²ர்த²ம்’ தர்ஹி குதோ ஹேதோ ர்மாம் அதாட³ய: ?
24 Sent then Him Annas bound to Caiaphas the high priest.
பூர்வ்வம்’ ஹாநந் ஸப³ந்த⁴நம்’ தம்’ கியபா²மஹாயாஜகஸ்ய ஸமீபம்’ ப்ரைஷயத்|
25 Was now Simon Peter already standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him; Surely also you yourself of the disciples of Him are? Denied (therefore *O*) he and said; Not I am.
ஸி²மோந்பிதரஸ்திஷ்ட²ந் வஹ்நிதாபம்’ ஸேவதே, ஏதஸ்மிந் ஸமயே கியந்தஸ்தம் அப்ரு’ச்ச²ந் த்வம்’ கிம் ஏதஸ்ய ஜநஸ்ய ஸி²ஷ்யோ ந? தத: ஸோபஹ்நுத்யாப்³ரவீத்³ அஹம்’ ந ப⁴வாமி|
26 Says one of the servants of the high priest kinsman being [of him] of whom cut off Peter the ear; Surely I myself you saw in the garden with Him?
ததா³ மஹாயாஜகஸ்ய யஸ்ய தா³ஸஸ்ய பிதர: கர்ணமச்சி²நத் தஸ்ய குடும்ப³: ப்ரத்யுதி³தவாந் உத்³யாநே தேந ஸஹ திஷ்ட²ந்தம்’ த்வாம்’ கிம்’ நாபஸ்²யம்’?
27 Again then denied (*k*) Peter, and immediately a rooster crowed.
கிந்து பிதர: புநரபஹ்நுத்ய கதி²தவாந்; ததா³நீம்’ குக்குடோ(அ)ரௌத்|
28 They are leading then Jesus from Caiaphas into the Praetorium; It was now (early. *N(k)O*) and they themselves not entered into the Praetorium so that not they may be defiled but (so that *K*) may eat the Passover.
தத³நந்தரம்’ ப்ரத்யூஷே தே கியபா²க்³ரு’ஹாத்³ அதி⁴பதே ர்க்³ரு’ஹம்’ யீஸு²ம் அநயந் கிந்து யஸ்மிந் அஸு²சித்வே ஜாதே தை ர்நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவே ந போ⁴க்தவ்யம்’, தஸ்ய ப⁴யாத்³ யிஹூதீ³யாஸ்தத்³க்³ரு’ஹம்’ நாவிஸ²ந்|
29 Went therefore Pilate (out *NO*) to them and (said; *N(k)O*) What accusation bring you against man this?
அபரம்’ பீலாதோ ப³ஹிராக³த்ய தாந் ப்ரு’ஷ்ட²வாந் ஏதஸ்ய மநுஷ்யஸ்ய கம்’ தோ³ஷம்’ வத³த²?
30 They answered and they said to him; only except were He (evil *N(K)O*) (doing, *N(k)O*) [then] not would to you we have delivered Him.
ததா³ தே பேத்யவத³ந் து³ஷ்கர்ம்மகாரிணி ந ஸதி ப⁴வத: ஸமீபே நைநம்’ ஸமார்பயிஷ்யாம: |
31 Said therefore to them Pilate; do take Him yourselves and according to the law of you do judge Him. Said (therefore *KO*) to him the Jews; To us not it is permitted to put to death no [one];
தத: பீலாதோ(அ)வத³த்³ யூயமேநம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா ஸ்வேஷாம்’ வ்யவஸ்த²யா விசாரயத| ததா³ யிஹூதீ³யா: ப்ரத்யவத³ந் கஸ்யாபி மநுஷ்யஸ்ய ப்ராணத³ண்ட³ம்’ கர்த்தும்’ நாஸ்மாகம் அதி⁴காரோ(அ)ஸ்தி|
32 that the word of Jesus may be fulfilled which He had spoken signifying as what death He was about to die.
ஏவம்’ ஸதி யீஸு²: ஸ்வஸ்ய ம்ரு’த்யௌ யாம்’ கதா²ம்’ கதி²தவாந் ஸா ஸப²லாப⁴வத்|
33 Entered therefore again into the Praetorium Pilate and he called Jesus and said to Him; You yourself are the King of the Jews?
தத³நந்தரம்’ பீலாத: புநரபி தத்³ ராஜக்³ரு’ஹம்’ க³த்வா யீஸு²மாஹூய ப்ரு’ஷ்டவாந் த்வம்’ கிம்’ யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ ராஜா?
34 Answered (to him *k*) Jesus; Of (yourself *N(k)O*) you yourself this say or others did say [it] to you concerning Me?
யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யவத³த் த்வம் ஏதாம்’ கதா²ம்’ ஸ்வத: கத²யஸி கிமந்ய: கஸ்²சிந் மயி கதி²தவாந்?
35 Answered Pilate; surely not ever I myself a Jew am? The nation of You and the chief priests delivered You to me myself; What did You do?
பீலாதோ(அ)வத³த்³ அஹம்’ கிம்’ யிஹூதீ³ய: ? தவ ஸ்வதே³ஸீ²யா விஸே²ஷத: ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகா மம நிகடே த்வாம்’ ஸமார்பயந, த்வம்’ கிம்’ க்ரு’தவாந்?
36 Answered (*k*) Jesus; The kingdom of Mine not is of world this; if of world this were kingdom of Mine, attendants of Mine they were fighting then would that not I may be betrayed to the Jews; Now however kingdom of Mine not is from here.
யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யவத³த் மம ராஜ்யம் ஏதஜ்ஜக³த்ஸம்ப³ந்தீ⁴யம்’ ந ப⁴வதி யதி³ மம ராஜ்யம்’ ஜக³த்ஸம்ப³ந்தீ⁴யம் அப⁴விஷ்யத் தர்ஹி யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ ஹஸ்தேஷு யதா² ஸமர்பிதோ நாப⁴வம்’ தத³ர்த²ம்’ மம ஸேவகா அயோத்ஸ்யந் கிந்து மம ராஜ்யம் ஐஹிகம்’ ந|
37 Said therefore to Him Pilate; Then a king are You yourself? Answered Jesus; You yourself say that a king am (I myself. *k*) I myself for this have been born and for this I have come into the world that I may bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is being of the truth hears My the voice.
ததா³ பீலாத: கதி²தவாந், தர்ஹி த்வம்’ ராஜா ப⁴வஸி? யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யுக்தவாந் த்வம்’ ஸத்யம்’ கத²யஸி, ராஜாஹம்’ ப⁴வாமி; ஸத்யதாயாம்’ ஸாக்ஷ்யம்’ தா³தும்’ ஜநிம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா ஜக³த்யஸ்மிந் அவதீர்ணவாந், தஸ்மாத் ஸத்யத⁴ர்ம்மபக்ஷபாதிநோ மம கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ரு’ண்வந்தி|
38 Says to Him Pilate; What is truth? And this having said again he went out to the Jews and says to them; I myself no [thing] find in Him guilt.
ததா³ ஸத்யம்’ கிம்’? ஏதாம்’ கதா²ம்’ பஷ்ட்வா பீலாத: புநரபி ப³ஹிர்க³த்வா யிஹூதீ³யாந் அபா⁴ஷத, அஹம்’ தஸ்ய கமப்யபராத⁴ம்’ ந ப்ராப்நோமி|
39 It is however a custom with you that one I may release to you at the Passover; wish you therefore I may release to you the King of the Jews?
நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவஸமயே யுஷ்மாபி⁴ரபி⁴ருசித ஏகோ ஜநோ மயா மோசயிதவ்ய ஏஷா யுஷ்மாகம்’ ரீதிரஸ்தி, அதஏவ யுஷ்மாகம்’ நிகடே யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ ராஜாநம்’ கிம்’ மோசயாமி, யுஷ்மாகம் இச்சா² கா?
40 They cried out then again (all *ko*) saying; Not this one but Barabbas! Was now Barabbas an insurrectionist.
ததா³ தே ஸர்வ்வே ருவந்தோ வ்யாஹரந் ஏநம்’ மாநுஷம்’ நஹி ப³ரப்³பா³ம்’ மோசய| கிந்து ஸ ப³ரப்³பா³ த³ஸ்யுராஸீத்|
