< John 18 >
1 These things having said (*ko*) Jesus went out with the disciples of Him beyond the winter stream (of the *N(k)O*) of Kidron where there was a garden into which entered He himself and the disciples of Him.
Jisuna haijaba loirabada Ibungona mahakki tung-inbasingga loinana Kidron lok lanthokle. Mapham aduda ingkhol ama leirammi maduda Jisu amadi mahakki tung-inbasingna chatlammi.
2 Knew now also Judas who is delivering up Him the place, because often gathered together (*ko*) Jesus there with the disciples of Him.
Jisuna mahakki tung-inbasingga toina unaba mapham oibanina mapham asi Jisubu pithokpa Judas-na khanglammi.
3 Therefore Judas having procured the cohort and from the chief priests and from the Pharisees officers comes there with lanterns and torches and weapons.
Maram asina Judas-na Rome-gi lanmising amadi Ningnasanggi lanmi kangbu ama puduna athoiba purohitsing amasung pharisee-singga loinana ingkhol aduda laklammi. Makhoina meira, thaomei amadi khutlai pairaklammi.
4 Jesus (therefore *NK(o)*) knowing all things that are coming upon Him (he went out *N(k)O*) (also *no*) (speaks *N(k)O*) to them; Whom seek you?
Ibungona mangonda thoklagadaba pumnamak adu khangladuna Ibungona thoraktuna makhoida hairak-i, “Nakhoina kanabu thiribano?”
5 They answered to Him; Jesus of Nazareth. He says to them (*ko*) (Jesus: *KO*) I myself am [He]. Had been standing now also Judas who is delivering up Him with them.
“Eikhoi Nazareth-ki Jisubu thiribani,” haina makhoina khumlak-i. Maduda Jisuna hairak-i, “Mahak adu eini.” Jisubu pithokpa Judas mapham aduda makhoiga loinana leptuna leirammi.
6 When therefore He said to them (that: *k*) I myself am [He], they drew toward the back and fell to [the] ground.
“Mahak adu eini” haina Jisuna haiba matamda makhoina tung hallaga leimaida ture.
7 Again therefore He questioned them: Whom seek you? And they said; Jesus of Nazareth.
Ibungona makhoida amuk hanglak-i, “Nakhoina kanabu thiribano?” Maduda makhoina khumlak-i, “Eikhoi Nazareth-ki Jisubu thiribani,”
8 Answered (*k*) Jesus; I have told you that I myself am [He]. If therefore Me myself you seek, do allow these to go away;
“Mahak adu eini haina eina nakhoida haikhre,” haina Jisuna khumlak-i. “Nakhoina eibu thiba oirabadi makhoising adu chat-hankhro”
9 so that may be fulfilled the word that He had spoken that Those whom You have given Me not I lost of them not [one].
(“Ipa, nahakna eingonda pibiba makhoi kana amatabu eina mang-hande,” haiba Ibungogi wahei adu thungnaba Ibungona masi haibani.)
10 Simon then Peter having a sword drew it and he struck the of the high priest servant and cut off of him the (ear *N(k)O*) right; Was now name of the servant Malchus.
Maduda Simon Peter-na mahakki thangsang adu satlaga purohitlen-gi manaigi yet thangba mana adu kakthatlammi. Manai adugi maming Malchus kou-i.
11 Said therefore Jesus to Peter; do put the sword (of you *k*) into the sheath. The cup which has given Me the Father certainly surely shall I drink it?
Jisuna Peter-da hairak-i, “Thangsang adu makhumda hapchillu. Ipana eingonda piba awabagi tenggot adu eina thakloidra?”
12 Then the cohort and the commander and the officers of the Jews took hold of Jesus and bound Him
Rome-gi lanmi kangbu amadi makhoigi luchingbasing aduga ningnasanggi lanmisinggana Jisubu pharammi amadi pullammi
13 and (they brought away *N(k)O*) (him *k*) to Annas first; he was for father-in-law of Caiaphas who was high priest on the year same.
aduga makhoina Jisubu Annas-ki manakta hanna puraklammi. Annas chahi adugi Purohitlen oiriba Caiaphas-ki makubokni.
14 Was now Caiaphas the [one] having given counsel to the Jews that it is profitable for one man (to die *N(k)O*) for the people.
Mi amana miyamgi mahutta sibana henna phei haina Jihudisinggi luchingbasingda paotak pikhiba mi adu Caiaphas asini.
15 Were following now after Jesus Simon Peter and (the *ko*) other disciple. the Now disciple that [one] was known to the high priest also he entered with Jesus into the court of the high priest.
Simon Peter amadi atoppa tung-inba aduna Jisugi tung illammi. Atoppa tung-inba aduga purohitlen aduga munna khangnaba maramna mahakna Jisuga loinana purohitlen-gi sumangda changlammi.
16 But Peter had stood at the door outside. Went out therefore the disciple other (who *N(k)O*) (was *k*) known (to the high priest *N(k)O*) and spoke to the doorkeeper and brought in Peter.
Adubu Peter-di mapanda thong manakta leplammi. Purohitlenna masak khangba atoppa tung-inba aduna hallaktuna mapham aduda thong sangbagi mathou touribi nupimacha aduda hairaga Peter-bu manungda pusillammi.
17 Says therefore to Peter the servant girl the doorkeeper: Surely also you yourself of the disciples are of the man this? Says he; Not I am.
Thongsangbi nupimacha aduna Peter-da hairak-i, “Nahaksu mi asigi tung-inabasinggi marakta ama nattra?” Maduda Peter-na khumlak-i, “Ei natte.”
18 Had been standing now the servants and the officers a fire of coals having made, for cold it was and they were warming themselves; Was now (also *no*) Peter with them having stood and warming himself.
Matam adu ingbagi maramna minaising amadi ngaksellibasing aduna meitan thagatlaga madugi akoibada leptuna mei tiklammi. Peter-su makhoiga loinana leptuna mei tikminnarammi.
19 Then the high priest questioned Jesus concerning the disciples of Him and concerning the teaching of Him.
Purohitlenna Ibungogi tung-inbasing amadi Ibungogi tambibagi matangda Ibungoda hanglammi.
20 Answered to him (*k*) Jesus; I myself openly (have spoken *N(k)O*) to the world. I myself always taught in (the *k*) synagogue and in the temple where (all *N(K)O*) the Jews come together, and in secret I spoke not [anything].
Maduda Jisuna khumlak-i, “Eina taibangpanda iphong phongna wa hai aduga Jihudisingna tinnaba maphamsing haibadi synagogue-sing amadi Mapugi Sanglenda eina tambibani. Eina kari amata lonna haikhide.
21 Why Me (do you ask? do ask *N(k)O*) those having heard what I spoke to them. behold they know what said I myself.
Aduga karigi nahakna eingonda madugi wahang adu hanglibano? Eina haiba takhiba makhoi aduda eina kari kari haikhi haibadu hang-u. Eina haikhiba adu makhoina khangbani.”
22 These things now of Him having said one already standing by of the officers gave a blow with the palm to Jesus having said; Thus answer You to the high priest?
Jisuna masi haiba matamda lanmi amana Ibungogi maida khubakna tharaga hairak-i, “Nangna adumna Purohitlenda khumbra?”
23 Answered to him (*k*) Jesus; If evil I spoke, do bear witness concerning the evil; if however rightly, why Me strike you?
Maduda Jisuna hairak-i, “Eina aranba haikhiba leiradi madu leiriba mayam mamang asida haiyu. Aduga eina achumba hairabadi karigi nahakna eingonda nakhut tharibano?”
24 Sent then Him Annas bound to Caiaphas the high priest.
Madudagi Annas-na pullaga leiriba Ibungobu Purohitlen Caiaphas-ki maphamda tharammi.
25 Was now Simon Peter already standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him; Surely also you yourself of the disciples of Him are? Denied (therefore *O*) he and said; Not I am.
Mapham aduda Peter leptuna mei tiklammi. Maduda makhoina Peter-da hanglak-i, “Nahaksu mi asigi tung-inba ama nattra?” Madu Peter-na yaramde aduga hairak-i, “Ei natte.”
26 Says one of the servants of the high priest kinsman being [of him] of whom cut off Peter the ear; Surely I myself you saw in the garden with Him?
Peter-na mana kakkhiba nupa adugi mari mata oiba purohitlen-gi manai amana Peter-da hairak-i, “Ingkhol aduda nahakna mahakka loinana leiba adu eina ukhidabra?”
27 Again then denied (*k*) Peter, and immediately a rooster crowed.
Madu Peter-na amuk hanna yaramde. Khudak aduda yenbarabana khonglak-i.
28 They are leading then Jesus from Caiaphas into the Praetorium; It was now (early. *N(k)O*) and they themselves not entered into the Praetorium so that not they may be defiled but (so that *K*) may eat the Passover.
Jihudisingna Jisubu Caiaphas-ki maphamdagi Rome-gi leingak mapugi sanggaida puraklammi. Matam adu ayuk anganba oirammi. Makhoina Lanthokpibagi chakkhangba adu yaoba yananaba laininggi oiba masa sengna leinanaba makhoina sanggai manungdadi changlamde.
29 Went therefore Pilate (out *NO*) to them and (said; *N(k)O*) What accusation bring you against man this?
Maram aduna Pilate-na mapanda thoraktuna makhoida hanglak-i, “Nakhoina mi asi kari maral lei hairibano?”
30 They answered and they said to him; only except were He (evil *N(K)O*) (doing, *N(k)O*) [then] not would to you we have delivered Him.
Maduda makhoina khumlak-i, “Mahak asi phattaba touba mi oiramdrabadi eikhoina mahakpu nahakki naphamda puraklamloi.”
31 Said therefore to them Pilate; do take Him yourselves and according to the law of you do judge Him. Said (therefore *KO*) to him the Jews; To us not it is permitted to put to death no [one];
Pilate-na hairak-i, “Nakhoina mahakpu puduna nakhoigi wayel yathanggi matung inna wayellu.” Maduda makhoina khumlak-i, “Mi amabu hatpa yabagi ayaba adu eikhoida pide.”
32 that the word of Jesus may be fulfilled which He had spoken signifying as what death He was about to die.
Masi Jisuna mahak karamba ma-ongda sigani haina haikhiba adu thungnanabani.
33 Entered therefore again into the Praetorium Pilate and he called Jesus and said to Him; You yourself are the King of the Jews?
Madudagi Pilate-na sanggai manungda amuk changle aduga Jisubu kousillaga hanglak-i, “Nahak Jihudisinggi ningthoura?”
34 Answered (to him *k*) Jesus; Of (yourself *N(k)O*) you yourself this say or others did say [it] to you concerning Me?
Jisuna khumlak-i, “Madu nahak nasadagi lakpa wahangla nattraga atoppa misingna nangonda eigi maramda haibagira?”
35 Answered Pilate; surely not ever I myself a Jew am? The nation of You and the chief priests delivered You to me myself; What did You do?
Pilate-na khumlak-i, “Eibu Jihudira? Nahakki mising amadi athoiba purohitsingna nahakpu eingonda sinnarakpani. Nahakna kari toukhrabage?”
36 Answered (*k*) Jesus; The kingdom of Mine not is of world this; if of world this were kingdom of Mine, attendants of Mine they were fighting then would that not I may be betrayed to the Jews; Now however kingdom of Mine not is from here.
Maduda Jisuna hairak-i, “Eigi leibakti taibangpan asigi natte. Taibangpan asigi oiramlabadi Jihudisingna eibu phaba thingnanaba eigi inaisingna lan soknaramgadabani. Adubu eigi leibakti mapham asigi natte.”
37 Said therefore to Him Pilate; Then a king are You yourself? Answered Jesus; You yourself say that a king am (I myself. *k*) I myself for this have been born and for this I have come into the world that I may bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is being of the truth hears My the voice.
Pilate-na hairak-i, “Adu oirabadi nahak ningthounine!” Maduda Jisuna khumlak-i, “Ei ningthouni haina nahakna haiba adu nahakna chumna haire. Maram asigidamak eihak pokpani amadi achumbagi maramda hainanaba taibangpan asida lakpani. Achumbagi maikeida leiba mi khudingna eigi khonjel tai.”
38 Says to Him Pilate; What is truth? And this having said again he went out to the Jews and says to them; I myself no [thing] find in Him guilt.
Pilate-na Ibungoda hanglak-i, “Achumba haibasi karino?” Madudagi Pilate-na mapanda thoktuna makhoida hairak-i, “Eina mangonda maral piba yaba kari amata phangde.
39 It is however a custom with you that one I may release to you at the Passover; wish you therefore I may release to you the King of the Jews?
Adubu Lanthokpibagi chakkhangba matamda eina mi amabu thadokpagi nakhoigi chatnabi lei. Maram aduna Jihudisinggi ningthou adu nakhoigidamak thadokpa pambra?”
40 They cried out then again (all *ko*) saying; Not this one but Barabbas! Was now Barabbas an insurrectionist.
Maduda makhoina kanna laorak-i, “Natte, mahak natte! Barabbas-pu thadok-u!” (Barabbas asi daku amani.)
