< John 15 >

1 I myself am the vine true, and the Father of Mine the vinedresser is.
ahaṁ satyadrākṣālatāsvarūpō mama pitā tūdyānaparicārakasvarūpañca|
2 Every branch in Me myself not bearing fruit He takes away it, and every one fruit bearing He prunes it that fruit more it may bear.
mama yāsu śākhāsu phalāni na bhavanti tāḥ sa chinatti tathā phalavatyaḥ śākhā yathādhikaphalāni phalanti tadarthaṁ tāḥ pariṣkarōti|
3 Already you yourselves clean are because of the word that I have spoken to you.
idānīṁ mayōktōpadēśēna yūyaṁ pariṣkr̥tāḥ|
4 do abide in Me myself and I myself and I myself in you. Even as the branch not is able fruit to bear of itself only unless (it shall abide *N(k)O*) in the vine, so neither [are able] you only unless in Me myself (you shall abide. *N(k)O*)
ataḥ kāraṇāt mayi tiṣṭhata tēnāhamapi yuṣmāsu tiṣṭhāmi, yatō hētō rdrākṣālatāyām asaṁlagnā śākhā yathā phalavatī bhavituṁ na śaknōti tathā yūyamapi mayyatiṣṭhantaḥ phalavantō bhavituṁ na śaknutha|
5 I myself am the vine, you [are] the branches. The [one] abiding in Me myself and I myself and I myself in him, he bears fruit much; For apart from Me not you are able to do no [thing].
ahaṁ drākṣālatāsvarūpō yūyañca śākhāsvarūpōḥ; yō janō mayi tiṣṭhati yatra cāhaṁ tiṣṭhāmi, sa pracūraphalaiḥ phalavān bhavati, kintu māṁ vinā yūyaṁ kimapi karttuṁ na śaknutha|
6 Only unless someone (shall abide *N(k)O*) in Me myself, he is thrown out like the branch and is dried up, and they gather them and into the fire cast, and it is burned.
yaḥ kaścin mayi na tiṣṭhati sa śuṣkaśākhēva bahi rnikṣipyatē lōkāśca tā āhr̥tya vahnau nikṣipya dāhayanti|
7 If you shall abide in Me myself and the declarations of Mine in you shall abide, whatever if you shall wish (do yourself ask *N(k)O*) and it will happen to you.
yadi yūyaṁ mayi tiṣṭhatha mama kathā ca yuṣmāsu tiṣṭhati tarhi yad vāñchitvā yāciṣyadhvē yuṣmākaṁ tadēva saphalaṁ bhaviṣyati|
8 In this is glorified the Father of Mine, that fruit much you may bear and (you may become *N(k)O*) to Me disciples.
yadi yūyaṁ pracūraphalavantō bhavatha tarhi tadvārā mama pitu rmahimā prakāśiṣyatē tathā yūyaṁ mama śiṣyā iti parikṣāyiṣyadhvē|
9 even as has loved Me the Father, I myself also I myself also you loved; do abide in the love of Mine.
pitā yathā mayi prītavān ahamapi yuṣmāsu tathā prītavān atō hētō ryūyaṁ nirantaraṁ mama prēmapātrāṇi bhūtvā tiṣṭhata|
10 If the commandments of Mine you shall keep, you will abide in the love of Mine; even as I myself the commandments of the Father of Mine have kept, and I abide of Him in the love.
ahaṁ yathā piturājñā gr̥hītvā tasya prēmabhājanaṁ tiṣṭhāmi tathaiva yūyamapi yadi mamājñā guhlītha tarhi mama prēmabhājanāni sthāsyatha|
11 These things I have spoken to you that joy of Mine in you (may be *N(K)O*) and the joy of you may be full.
yuṣmannimittaṁ mama ya āhlādaḥ sa yathā ciraṁ tiṣṭhati yuṣmākam ānandaśca yathā pūryyatē tadarthaṁ yuṣmabhyam ētāḥ kathā atrakatham|
12 This is commandment of Mine that you may love one another even as I loved you.
ahaṁ yuṣmāsu yathā prīyē yūyamapi parasparaṁ tathā prīyadhvam ēṣā mamājñā|
13 Greater than this love no [one] has that one the life of him may lay down for the friends of him.
mitrāṇāṁ kāraṇāt svaprāṇadānaparyyantaṁ yat prēma tasmān mahāprēma kasyāpi nāsti|
14 You yourselves friends of Mine are if you shall do (what things *n(o)*) (as much as *K*) I myself command you.
ahaṁ yadyad ādiśāmi tattadēva yadi yūyam ācarata tarhi yūyamēva mama mitrāṇi|
15 no longer no longer I name you servants, for the servant not knows what is doing his master; You however I have called friends, because all things that I heard from the Father of Mine I have made known to you.
adyārabhya yuṣmān dāsān na vadiṣyāmi yat prabhu ryat karōti dāsastad na jānāti; kintu pituḥ samīpē yadyad aśr̥ṇavaṁ tat sarvvaṁ yūṣmān ajñāpayam tatkāraṇād yuṣmān mitrāṇi prōktavān|
16 Not you yourselves Me chose, but I myself chose you and appointed you that you yourselves may go and fruit you may bear, and the fruit of you may remain; so that (which one *NK(o)*) maybe you may ask the Father in the name of Me, He may give you.
yūyaṁ māṁ rōcitavanta iti na, kintvahamēva yuṣmān rōcitavān yūyaṁ gatvā yathā phalānyutpādayatha tāni phalāni cākṣayāṇi bhavanti, tadarthaṁ yuṣmān nyajunajaṁ tasmān mama nāma prōcya pitaraṁ yat kiñcid yāciṣyadhvē tadēva sa yuṣmabhyaṁ dāsyati|
17 These things I command you that you may love one another.
yūyaṁ parasparaṁ prīyadhvam aham ityājñāpayāmi|
18 If the world you hates, you know that Me myself before you it has hated.
jagatō lōkai ryuṣmāsu r̥tīyitēṣu tē pūrvvaṁ māmēvārttīyanta iti yūyaṁ jānītha|
19 If of the world you were, the world then would [as its] own was loving [you]; because however of the world not you are, but I myself chose you out of the world, on account of this hates you the world.
yadi yūyaṁ jagatō lōkā abhaviṣyata tarhi jagatō lōkā yuṣmān ātmīyān buddhvāprēṣyanta; kintu yūyaṁ jagatō lōkā na bhavatha, ahaṁ yuṣmān asmājjagatō'rōcayam ētasmāt kāraṇājjagatō lōkā yuṣmān r̥tīyantē|
20 do remember the word that I myself said to you: Not is a servant greater than the master of him. If Me myself they persecuted also you they will persecute; if the word of Mine they kept also yours they will keep.
dāsaḥ prabhō rmahān na bhavati mamaitat pūrvvīyaṁ vākyaṁ smarata; tē yadi māmēvātāḍayan tarhi yuṣmānapi tāḍayiṣyanti, yadi mama vākyaṁ gr̥hlanti tarhi yuṣmākamapi vākyaṁ grahīṣyanti|
21 But these things all they will do (against *no*) (you *N(k)O*) on account of the name of Me, because not they know the [One] having sent Me.
kintu tē mama nāmakāraṇād yuṣmān prati tādr̥śaṁ vyavahariṣyanti yatō yō māṁ prēritavān taṁ tē na jānanti|
22 only unless I come and I said to them, sin not they had; now however excuse not they have for the sin of them.
tēṣāṁ sannidhim āgatya yadyahaṁ nākathayiṣyaṁ tarhi tēṣāṁ pāpaṁ nābhaviṣyat kintvadhunā tēṣāṁ pāpamācchādayitum upāyō nāsti|
23 The [one] Me myself hating also the Father of Mine hates.
yō janō mām r̥tīyatē sa mama pitaramapi r̥tīyatē|
24 If the works not I had done among them that no other (did, *N(k)O*) sin not they had; now however both they have seen and have hated both Me myself and the Father of Mine;
yādr̥śāni karmmāṇi kēnāpi kadāpi nākriyanta tādr̥śāni karmmāṇi yadi tēṣāṁ sākṣād ahaṁ nākariṣyaṁ tarhi tēṣāṁ pāpaṁ nābhaviṣyat kintvadhunā tē dr̥ṣṭvāpi māṁ mama pitarañcārttīyanta|
25 But [this is] that may be fulfilled the word in the law of them written that They hated Me without cause.’
tasmāt tē'kāraṇaṁ mām r̥tīyantē yadētad vacanaṁ tēṣāṁ śāstrē likhitamāstē tat saphalam abhavat|
26 When (now *ko*) may come the Helper whom I myself will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who from the Father goes forth, He will bear witness concerning Me;
kintu pitu rnirgataṁ yaṁ sahāyamarthāt satyamayam ātmānaṁ pituḥ samīpād yuṣmākaṁ samīpē prēṣayiṣyāmi sa āgatya mayi pramāṇaṁ dāsyati|
27 Also you yourselves now bear witness, because from [the] beginning with Me you are.
yūyaṁ prathamamārabhya mayā sārddhaṁ tiṣṭhatha tasmāddhētō ryūyamapi pramāṇaṁ dāsyatha|
