< John 11 >

1 Was now a certain [man] ailing, Lazarus of Bethany of the village of Mary and Martha the sister of her;
Lazarus kouba nupa ama naduna leirammi. Mahakti mache Mary amadi Martha-ga loinana Bethany khunggangda leibani.
2 Was now Mary the [one] having anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and having wiped the feet of Him with the hair of her, whose brother Lazarus was sick.
Lazarus-ki mache Mary asi Mapu Ibungogi makhongda manam nungsiba thao heiduna masamna teithokkhiba nupi aduni.
3 Sent therefore the sisters to Him saying; Lord, behold [he] whom You love was being sick.
Machem ani asina Jisuda pao asumna tharammi, “Ibungo, nahakna nungsijaba marup adu nare.”
4 Having heard then Jesus said; This sickness not is unto death but for the glory of God that may be glorified the Son of God through it.
Jisuna pao asi tabada hairak-i, “Anaba asi siraga loisin-gadaba anaba natte adubu Tengban Mapugi matik mangal oinanaba amadi masigi mapanna Tengban Mapugi Machanupa adubu matik mangal phangnanabani.”
5 was loving now Jesus Martha and the sister of her and Lazarus.
Martha, mahakki manaonupi amadi Lazarus-pu Jisuna nungsijarammi.
6 When therefore He heard that he is sick, then indeed He remained in which He was [the] place two days.
Adubu Ibungona Lazarus nare haiba tabada Ibungona leiriba mapham aduda numit nini amaga amuk makha tana leitharammi.
7 Then after this He says to the disciples; Let us go into Judea again.
Adudagi Ibungona mahakki tung-inbasingda hairak-i, “Eikhoi Judea-da hallasi.”
8 Say to Him the disciples; Rabbi, just now were seeking You to stone the Jews, and again You are going there?
Maduda Ibungogi tung-inbasingna khumlak-i, “Oja Ibungo, mapham aduda Jihudisingna Ibungobu nungna thanaba hotnakhibadu ikui kuikhidri aduga Ibungona mapham aduda amuk chatke hairibra?”
9 Answered (*k*) Jesus; Surely twelve hours are there in the day? If anyone shall walk in the day, not he stumbles, because the light of the world this he sees.
Jisuna khumlak-i, “Nongmada pung taranithoi nungthil oiba nattra? Nungthilda chatpa mi amana khudi thide maramdi taibangpan asigi mangalna mahakna uba phang-i.
10 if however anyone shall walk in the night, he stumbles, because the light not is in him.
Adubu numidangda chatpa mahak adudi khudi thi maramdi mangonda mangal leite.”
11 These things He said and after this He says to them; Lazarus the friend of us has fallen asleep; but I go that I may awaken him.
Masi hairaba tungda Ibungona makhoida makha tana hairak-i, “Eikhoigi marup Lazarus tumkhre adubu mahak houdoknaba ei houjik chatkani.”
12 Said therefore the disciples (to Him; *N(K)O*) Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will get well.
Maduda tung-inbasing aduna khumlak-i, “Ibungo, mahak tumlabadi, mahak naba pharagani.”
13 Had spoken however Jesus of the death of him; they however thought that of the rest of sleep He speaks.
Jisuna hainingba adudi Lazarus sire haibani adubu makhoinadi Ibungona hairibadu tumduna potthabagi maramda haibani haina khallammi.
14 Then therefore said to them Jesus plainly; Lazarus has died.
Maram aduna Jisuna makhoida sengna haibire, “Lazarus sire,
15 And I rejoice for sake of you, in order that you may believe, that not I was there; But let us go to him.
nakhoina thajanaba eina mahakka loinana mapham aduda leiminnaramdaba asi nakhoigidamak ei harao-i. Eikhoi mahakki manakta chatlasi.”
16 Said therefore Thomas who is being named Didymus to the fellow disciples; Let us go also us that we may die with Him.
Didymus hainasu kouba Thomas-na mahakka loinariba tung-inbasing aduda hairak-i, “Ibungoga loinana siminnanaba eikhoisu chatlasi.”
17 Having come therefore Jesus found him four already days having been in the tomb.
Jisuna Bethany-da thunglaba matamda Lazarus leirol chankhiba numit marini sukhre.
18 Was now Bethany near Jerusalem about away stadia fifteen.
Bethany asi Jerusalem-dagi mile animuk lapna leibani.
19 (and *k*) Many (now *no*) of the Jews had come unto (*N(k)O*) (concerning *k*) Martha and Mary that they may console them concerning the brother (of them. *k*)
Jihudi mayam amana Martha amadi Mary-gi manakta makhoigi moupuwa leikhidaba adugi themjinbinaba laklammi.
20 Therefore Martha, when she heard that (*k*) Jesus is coming, met with Him; Mary however in the house was sitting.
Jisu lakle tabada Martha-na Ibungobu unanaba thoklammi adubu Mary-di yumda leihourammi.
21 Said then Martha to Jesus; Lord, if You had been here, not then would (be dead *N(k)O*) the brother of mine.
Martha-na Jisuda hairak-i, “Ibungo, nahakna mapham asida leiramlabadi eigi ipuwa adu siramloidabani.
22 Nevertheless even now I know that as much as maybe You may ask God will give You God.
Adubu houjikmaksu Ibungona nijaba khudingmak Tengban Mapuna pibigani haiba ei khangjei.”
23 Says to her Jesus; Will rise again the brother of you.
Jisuna mangonda hairak-i, “Nahakki noupuwa amuk hinggatkani.”
24 Says to him (*no*) Martha; I know that he will rise again in the resurrection in the last day.
Maduda Martha-na khumlak-i, “Aroiba numit aduda mahak amuk hinggatkani haibasi ei khangjei.”
25 Said to her Jesus; I myself am the resurrection and the life; the [one] believing in Me myself even if even if he shall die he will live,
Jisuna mangonda hairak-i, “Hinggatpa amadi hingba adu eini. Eibu thajaba mahak adu sirabasu hinggani.
26 and everyone who is living and believing in Me myself certainly not he shall die to the age. Believe you this? (aiōn g165)
Eingonda leiba aduga eibu thajaba mi khudingna keidoungeidasu siraroi. Nahak masi thajabra?” (aiōn g165)
27 She says to Him; Yes Lord; I myself have believed that You yourself are the Christ the Son of God the [One] into the world coming.
Maduda Martha-na khumlak-i, “Hoi, Ibungo. Ibungodi taibangpanda lengbirakkadaba Tengban Mapugi Machanupa, Christta aduni haiba ei thajei.”
28 And (these things *N(k)O*) having said she went away and she called Mary the sister of her secretly having said; The Teacher is come and He calls you.
Martha-na masi hairaba tungda mahakna mahakki manaonupi Mary-gi manakta chatlammi aduga mahakpu tonganna kouthoklaga hairak-i, “Mapham asida Oja lak-le, nahakpu hangli.”
29 She (then *no*) when she heard ([she] rose up *N(k)O*) quickly and (was coming *N(k)O*) to Him.
Mary-na masi tabada thunamak hougattuna Ibungobu unanaba chatlammi.
30 Not yet now had come Jesus into the village, but was (still *no*) in the place where met with Him Martha.
Jisudi khunggang aduda youraktri adubu Martha-na unaramba mapham aduda adumak leirammi.
31 The then Jews who are being with her in the house and consoling her, having seen Mary that soon she rose up and went out, followed after her, (having supposed *N(K)O*) that she is going to the tomb that she may weep there.
Yum aduda Mary-bu themjinbiramba Jihudising aduna mahakna yamna thuna hougattuna chatkhiba adu ubada, mahak Lazarus-ki mongphamda kappa chatlibani haina khanduna makhoina mahakki matung illammi.
32 Therefore Mary when she came to where was (*k*) Jesus, having seen Him she fell of Him (at *N(k)O*) the feet saying to Him; Lord, if You had been here, not then would my have died brother.
Jisuna leiriba mapham aduda Mary-na thunglabada mahakna Ibungobu ujare aduga Ibungogi khuyakhada tuthajaraga hairak-i, “Ibungo, nahakna mapham asida leiramlabadi eigi ipuwa adu siramloidabani.”
33 Jesus therefore when He saw her weeping and the having come with her Jews weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled Himself
Mahakna kappa amasung mahakka loinariba Jihudising aduna kappa adu ubada Ibungogi thamoi soklammi amadi yamna nungaitaba phaorammi.
34 And He said; Where have you laid him? They say to Him; Lord, do come and do see.
“Nakhoina mahakpu kadaida leirol chankhibage?” haina Ibungona makhoida hanglammi. Maduda makhoina khumlak-i, “Ibungo, lakpiduna yengbiyu.”
35 Wept Jesus.
Jisu kaplammi.
36 Were saying therefore the Jews; Behold how He was loving him!
Maduda Jihudisingna hairak-i, “Yeng-u, mahakna Lazarus-pu kayada nungsiriba!”
37 Some however of them said; Surely was able this [man] who having opened the eyes of the blind to have caused that also this one not may have died?
Adubu mi kharanadi asumna hairak-i, “Mit tangba mibudi uhanba ngamlaga mahakna Lazarus-pudi sihandana thambadi ngamdabra?”
38 Jesus therefore again being deeply moved in Himself He comes to the tomb; It was now a cave, and a stone was lying against it.
Amuk hanna yamna nungaitaba phaoraduna Jisuna mongpham aduda laklammi. Mongpham adu nungjao amana changphamda thingjinduna thamba surung amani.
39 Says Jesus; do take away the stone. Says to Him the sister of the [one] (having deceased *N(k)O*) Martha; Lord, already he stinks; four days for it is.
Jisuna makhoida hairak-i, “Nung adu louthokkho!” Leikhidraba nupa adugi mache Martha-na Ibungoda hairak-i, “Ibungo, manam namthiramlagani maramdi mahak mapham aduda thamkhiba numit marini sukhre.”
40 Says to her Jesus; Surely I said to you that if you shall believe you will see the glory of God?
Maduda Jisuna mangonda hairak-i, “Nahakna thajarabadi nahak Tengban Mapugi matik mangal uba phanggani haina eina nangonda haikhiba nattra?”
41 They took away therefore the stone (where was who having died laid. *K*) Now Jesus lifted [His] eyes upwards and said; Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
Maram aduna makhoina nung adu louthokkhre. Adudagi Jisuna swargaromda yengkhatlaga hairak-i, “Ipa, eina haijaba Ibungona tabibagi thagatchari.
42 I myself and knew that always Me You hear; but on account of the crowd which already standing around I said [it], that they may believe that You yourself Me sent.
Matam pumnamakta eina haijaba Ibungona tabi haiba eina khangjei adubu Ibungona eibu thabirakpani haiba mapham asida leiriba miyamsing asina thajananaba makhoigidamak eina khon thokna haidokchabani.”
43 And these things having said in a voice loud He cried out; Lazarus, come forth.
Masi hairaba tungda Ibungona ahouba khonjelna laorak-i, “Lazarus, thoklak-u!”
44 (and *k*) Came forth the [one] having died bound the feet and the hands with linen strips, and the face of him in a headcloth had bound about. Says to them Jesus: do unbind him and do allow him to go.
Maduda mahakki makhong makhuttu phumbada sijinnaba phi masangsingna yetsillammi aduga mamaidu phi amana yetlaga thoklakle. Maduda Jisuna makhoida hairak-i, “Pulliba mongphamgi phising adu louthok-u aduga mahak chatchasanu.”
45 Many therefore of the Jews having come to Mary and having seen (what things *NK(o)*) He did (Jesus *k*) believed in Him.
Mary-gi manakta lakpa Jihudi mayam ama Jisuna toukhiba thabak adu urammi aduga makhoina Ibungobu thajare.
46 some however of them went to the Pharisees and told to them what did (*ko*) Jesus.
Adubu makhoi kharanadi Pharisee-singgi manakta chatlaga Jisuna toukhiba thabak adu tamle.
47 Gathered therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees a council and they were saying; What are we to do? For this man many does signs!
Maram aduna Pharisee-sing amadi athoiba purohitsingna Sanhedrin-gi mitin ama koure. Maduda makhoi masel hangnarak-i, “Eikhoi kari tousige? Mi asina touriba angakpa thabak pumnamak asi yeng-u.
48 If we shall let him alone Him like this, all will believe in Him, and will come the Romans and will take away of us both the place and the nation.
Eikhoina mahakpu asumna thadoklabadi mi khudingna mahakpu thajakhragani madu oirabadi Rome-gi misingna laktuna eikhoigi Mapu Sanglen amadi eikhoigi phurup asi loukhragani.”
49 One however certain of them Caiaphas, high priest being on the year same, said to them; You yourselves not know no [thing],
Makhoigi maraktagi Caiaphas kouba chahi adugi Purohitlen oiba mahakna hairak-i, “Nakhoi karisu khangde!
50 nor (consider you *N(k)O*) that it is profitable (for you *N(K)O*) that one man may die for the people, and not all the nation may perish.
Phurup apumba amabu pummang mangbagi mahutta mi amana miyamgidamak sibibana nakhoigidamak henna phei haibasi nakhoi khangdabra?”
51 This now from himself not he said, but high priest being on the year that he prophesied that was about (*k*) Jesus to die for the nation,
Masi mahakna masagi aningbadagi haiba natte adubu mahakna chahi adugi Purohitlen ama oina Jihudi phurupkidamak Jisuna sibigani haina Tengban Mapugi wa phongdokpani,
52 and not for the nation only but that also the children of God those scattered He may gather together into one.
madu Jihudi phurup khaktagi nattana chaithoktuna leiriba Tengban Mapugi machasingbu khomjinduna amata oihannanabani.
53 From that [very] therefore day (they plotted *N(k)O*) that they may kill Him.
Numit adudagi Jihudigi luchingbasingna Jisubu hatnanaba thourang touba houre.
54 (*no*) Therefore Jesus no longer no longer publicly was walking among the Jews, but went away from there into the region near the wilderness to Ephraim being named a city, And there And there (He stayed *N(k)O*) with the disciples (of him. *k*)
Maram aduna Jisuna Jihudisinggi marakta phongna chattre. Madugi mahutta lamjao lamhangda manakta leiba Ephraim kouba khun amada chatlammi aduga mapham aduda mahakki tung-inbasingga loinana leirammi.
55 Was now near the Passover of the Jews, and went up many to Jerusalem out of the region before the Passover so that they may purify themselves.
Jihudisinggi oiba Lanthokpibagi Chakkhangba adugi matam naksillaklabada, lam adugi miyamna Chakkhangba adugi mang-oinana laininggi oiba sengdoknabagidamak Jerusalem-da chatlammi.
56 They were seeking therefore Jesus and were saying among one another in the temple already standing; What does it seem to you, that certainly not He may come to the feast?
Makhoina Jisubu thirammi aduga makhoina Ningnasangda lepna lepna makhoi masel amaga amaga hangnarak-i, “Nakhoi kari khalli? Mahaksibu Chakkhangba asida lakloidra?”
57 Had given now (also *k*) the chief priests and the Pharisees (commands *N(K)O*) that if anyone shall know where He is he shall show [it], so that they may seize Him.
Athoiba purohitsing amadi pharisee-singna Jisubu phananabagidamak, kanagumbana Jisubu kadaida leibage haiba khanglabadi mahakna pao pirakkadabani haina yathang pirammi.
