< John 11 >
1 Was now a certain [man] ailing, Lazarus of Bethany of the village of Mary and Martha the sister of her;
Mbe munu umwi lisina lyaye Lazaro aliga alwaye. Asokele Bethania, mu musi gunu Mariamu no muyala wejabho Martha.
2 Was now Mary the [one] having anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and having wiped the feet of Him with the hair of her, whose brother Lazarus was sick.
Aliga ni Mariamu uliya oyo abhambagile Lata bhugenyi Marhamu namukubhula ebhigele byaye kwa jifwili jaye, unu omundulume waye Lazaro aliga alwaye.
3 Sent therefore the sisters to Him saying; Lord, behold [he] whom You love was being sick.
Mbe abhasubhati bhanu nibhasila obhulagile ku Yesu nibhaika ati,” Latabhugenyi, lola uliya umwendele alwaye.
4 Having heard then Jesus said; This sickness not is unto death but for the glory of God that may be glorified the Son of God through it.
Yesu ajile ogwa naika ati, Obhulwaye bhunu bhutali bwa kumwita, nawe, kulwalikusho lya Nyamuanga, omwana wa Nyamuanga abhone okukusibwa kubwo bhulwaye.”
5 was loving now Jesus Martha and the sister of her and Lazarus.
Yesu amwendele Martha no muyala wejabho na Lazaro.
6 When therefore He heard that he is sick, then indeed He remained in which He was [the] place two days.
Ajile ongwa ati Lazaro ni mulwaye. Yesu nosayo siku ebhili anu aliga.
7 Then after this He says to the disciples; Let us go into Judea again.
Nuwo kulinu nabwila abheigisibwa bhaye ati,” chisubheyo Uyahudi lindi.”
8 Say to Him the disciples; Rabbi, just now were seeking You to stone the Jews, and again You are going there?
Abheigisibwa nibhamubwila ati,”Rabi, Wayahudi bhaliga nibhayenja okukulasa amabhui ko wenda okusubheyo lindi.
9 Answered (*k*) Jesus; Surely twelve hours are there in the day? If anyone shall walk in the day, not he stumbles, because the light of the world this he sees.
Yesu nasubya ati, “jisaa ja mu musi jitali ekumina na kabhili? Omunu akalibhata mu mwisi atakutula okwikujulaoku okubha kalola obwelu bwa mu mwisi.
10 if however anyone shall walk in the night, he stumbles, because the light not is in him.
Nolwo kutyo akabha nalibhata mungeta kekujula okubha obwelu bhutalimo mukatungilwe kaye.”
11 These things He said and after this He says to them; Lazarus the friend of us has fallen asleep; but I go that I may awaken him.
Yesu naika ati emisango jinu, nabhabwila ati,”Omusani weswe Lazaro aongeye, nawe enigenda koleleki nibhone okumulafya okusoka mu ntilo.”
12 Said therefore the disciples (to Him; *N(K)O*) Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will get well.
Nuwo abheigisibwa bhaye nibhamubwila ati, Lata bhugenyi, alabha aongeye, kaja okulafya.
13 Had spoken however Jesus of the death of him; they however thought that of the rest of sleep He speaks.
Omwanya gunu Yesu aikile ku kufwa kwa Lazaro, nawe abhene nibheganilisha ati kaika ingulu wo kuongela kwa ntilo.
14 Then therefore said to them Jesus plainly; Lazarus has died.
Nuwo Yesu naika nabho bwelu bwlu,”Lazaro afuye.
15 And I rejoice for sake of you, in order that you may believe, that not I was there; But let us go to him.
Ninalikondelelwa kulwemwe, ati natabheyeo celiya koleleki mubhone okwikwilisha. Chigende mumwene.”
16 Said therefore Thomas who is being named Didymus to the fellow disciples; Let us go also us that we may die with Him.
Mbe Tomaso, oyo katogwa amalongo, nabhabwila abheigisibwa bhejabho ati neswe chigende chifwe amwi na Yesu.”
17 Having come therefore Jesus found him four already days having been in the tomb.
Omwanya Yesu ejile, asangile Lazaro abheye mufwa siku ena.
18 Was now Bethany near Jerusalem about away stadia fifteen.
Bethania yaliga yei na Yerusalemu sitandio makumi gana netanu kutyo.
19 (and *k*) Many (now *no*) of the Jews had come unto (*N(k)O*) (concerning *k*) Martha and Mary that they may console them concerning the brother (of them. *k*)
Abhafu agati ya Bhayaudi bhejile ku Martha na Mariamu okubhasilisha kulwo mundulume webwe.
20 Therefore Martha, when she heard that (*k*) Jesus is coming, met with Him; Mary however in the house was sitting.
Nuwo Martha ejileongwa ati Yesu kaja, nagenda okumulamila, nawe Mariamu nasigala eyanjile munyumba.
21 Said then Martha to Jesus; Lord, if You had been here, not then would (be dead *N(k)O*) the brother of mine.
Mbe Martha namubwila yesu ati,”Lata bhugenyi, wakabheye olio omundulume wani atakafuye.
22 Nevertheless even now I know that as much as maybe You may ask God will give You God.
Nolwo woli, nimenyele okubha jone ulasabwa okusoka Kunyamuanga, kakuyana.”
23 Says to her Jesus; Will rise again the brother of you.
Yesu namubwila ati, omundulume wao kasuluka lindi.”
24 Says to him (*no*) Martha; I know that he will rise again in the resurrection in the last day.
Martha namubwila ati, nimenyele ati, alisukila kubhusoko bwo lusiku lwo bhutelo.”
25 Said to her Jesus; I myself am the resurrection and the life; the [one] believing in Me myself even if even if he shall die he will live,
Yesu namubwila ati,” Anye nibhusuko no bhuanga unu kekilisha akabheye afuye nolwo kutyo anobhuanga;
26 and everyone who is living and believing in Me myself certainly not he shall die to the age. Believe you this? (aiōn )
Noyo kekala no kunyikilisha anye atakufwa. We kilisha linu?” (aiōn )
27 She says to Him; Yes Lord; I myself have believed that You yourself are the Christ the Son of God the [One] into the world coming.
Namubwila ati,'Nikwo, Lata Bhugenyi nekilisha awe ni Kristo, omwana wa Nyamuanga, unu kaja musi.”
28 And (these things *N(k)O*) having said she went away and she called Mary the sister of her secretly having said; The Teacher is come and He calls you.
Ejille amala okwaika linu nagenda jaye nabhilikila. omuyala wejabho Mariamu mwitebhe. Naika ati omwiigisha alyanu kakubhilikila.
29 She (then *no*) when she heard ([she] rose up *N(k)O*) quickly and (was coming *N(k)O*) to Him.
Mariamu ejile ongwa emukile bhangu, nagenda ku Yesu.
30 Not yet now had come Jesus into the village, but was (still *no*) in the place where met with Him Martha.
Yesu aliga achali kukinga mu musi, nawe aliga achali anu Martha.
31 The then Jews who are being with her in the house and consoling her, having seen Mary that soon she rose up and went out, followed after her, (having supposed *N(K)O*) that she is going to the tomb that she may weep there.
Mbe Abhayahudi bhaliga na Mariamu mu nyumba na bhaliya abhasilisya, bhejile bhamulola nemelegulu bhangu no kusoka anja, nibhamulubha; nibhetogela ati kagenda kufwa ajokulila eyo.
32 Therefore Mary when she came to where was (*k*) Jesus, having seen Him she fell of Him (at *N(k)O*) the feet saying to Him; Lord, if You had been here, not then would my have died brother.
Mbe mariamu ejile akinga aliya Yesu namulola, agwa asi kubhigele byeye namubwila ati,”Lata bhugenyi, wakabheye ulio omundulume wani atakafuye.”
33 Jesus therefore when He saw her weeping and the having come with her Jews weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled Himself
Yesu ejilia akamulola nalila, na Abhayahudi nibhaja amwi nage bhaliga nibhalila nalumwa mu mwoyo no kusulumbala;
34 And He said; Where have you laid him? They say to Him; Lord, do come and do see.
Naika ati,” Mwamuteye aki? nibhamubwila ati, Lata bhugenyi, ija ulole.”
36 Were saying therefore the Jews; Behold how He was loving him!
Mbe Abhayahudi nibhaika ati,” Lola kwoko aliga amwendele Lazaro!”
37 Some however of them said; Surely was able this [man] who having opened the eyes of the blind to have caused that also this one not may have died?
Nawe abhafu agati yebwe nibhaika ati,” Atali unu omunu oyo eguye ameso ga uliya oyo aliga muofu, akatulile okuingilila omunu unu atafwa?”
38 Jesus therefore again being deeply moved in Himself He comes to the tomb; It was now a cave, and a stone was lying against it.
Mbe yesu, nalumwa mumutima gwaye lindi, nagenda kufwa Woli yaliga nsenga, na libhui liteyweko ingulu yaye.
39 Says Jesus; do take away the stone. Says to Him the sister of the [one] (having deceased *N(k)O*) Martha; Lord, already he stinks; four days for it is.
Yesu naika ati,” Mulisoshewo libhui.”Martha omuyala wejabho na Lazaro, unu afuye, namubwila Yesu ati,”Lata bhugenyi ku mwanya gunu, omubhili gwabholele, kwo kubha afuye siku ena.”
40 Says to her Jesus; Surely I said to you that if you shall believe you will see the glory of God?
Yesu namubwila ati,”Anye nitakubwiliye ati, ukekilisha, oulola likusho lya Nyamuanga?
41 They took away therefore the stone (where was who having died laid. *K*) Now Jesus lifted [His] eyes upwards and said; Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
Kulwejo nasoshao libhui. Yesu nenamusha ameso gaye ingulu anaika ati,”Lata enikusima okubha wanyuguwe.
42 I myself and knew that always Me You hear; but on account of the crowd which already standing around I said [it], that they may believe that You yourself Me sent.
Nimenyele ati ounyungwa kusiku, nawe kulwa likofyanya linu lisingiye koleleki naike jinu, bhabhone okwikilisha ati awe wantumele.”
43 And these things having said in a voice loud He cried out; Lazarus, come forth.
Ejile amala okwika kutyo, nalila kwo bhulaka bhenene,”Lazaro, soka anja!”
44 (and *k*) Came forth the [one] having died bound the feet and the hands with linen strips, and the face of him in a headcloth had bound about. Says to them Jesus: do unbind him and do allow him to go.
Omufuye nasoka anja abhoyelwe amabhoko na magulu kwo mwenda gwo kusikilwa no bhusu bwaye bhubhoyelwe nechitambala.” Yesu nabhabwila ati,”Nimumusulumule musige agende.”
45 Many therefore of the Jews having come to Mary and having seen (what things *NK(o)*) He did (Jesus *k*) believed in Him.
Mbe Abhayahudi bhafu bhejile ku Mariamu no kumulola Yesu echoakolele, nibhamwilisha;
46 some however of them went to the Pharisees and told to them what did (*ko*) Jesus.
Nawe abhandi yebwe bhagendele ku Mafalisayo nibhamubwila emisango ejoakolele Yesu.
47 Gathered therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees a council and they were saying; What are we to do? For this man many does signs!
Niwo abhakulu bha bhagabhisi na bhafalisayo nibhekumanya amwi muchilaji nibhaika ati,”chikole kutiki? omunu unu kakola ebhibhalikisho bhafu.
48 If we shall let him alone Him like this, all will believe in Him, and will come the Romans and will take away of us both the place and the nation.
Alabha chikamusiga kutyo wenyele, bhone abhamwilisha; Abhalumi bhalija okugega byona isi yeswe na liyanga lyeswe.”
49 One however certain of them Caiaphas, high priest being on the year same, said to them; You yourselves not know no [thing],
Nolwo kutyo, omunu umwi mu bhona, Kayafa, aliga mugabhisi Omukulu mumwaka ogwo, nabhabwila ati, “Mutakumenya chonachona chimali.
50 nor (consider you *N(k)O*) that it is profitable (for you *N(K)O*) that one man may die for the people, and not all the nation may perish.
Mutakwiganilisha ati kubheile kwemwe ati omunu umwi kwiile okufwa kulwa bhanu kukila liyanga lyona no kubhulao.”
51 This now from himself not he said, but high priest being on the year that he prophesied that was about (*k*) Jesus to die for the nation,
Ganu atagaikile kwokubha omwene aliga mugabhisi omukulu omwaka guliya, nalagila ati Yesu kafwa kulwa liyanga;
52 and not for the nation only but that also the children of God those scattered He may gather together into one.
Neswe kulwa liyanga Yesu abhone okubhakumanya abhana bha Nyamuanga bhanu bhanyalambukile kulakula.
53 From that [very] therefore day (they plotted *N(k)O*) that they may kill Him.
Kulwejo okusoka kulusiku olwo nokugendelela nibhalwaja okumwita Yesu.
54 (*no*) Therefore Jesus no longer no longer publicly was walking among the Jews, but went away from there into the region near the wilderness to Ephraim being named a city, And there And there (He stayed *N(k)O*) with the disciples (of him. *k*)
Yesu atalibhatile lindi bwelu bwelu agati ya Bhayaudi, nawe nasokayo nagenda ku chalo chiliyei na ibhala mu mu si ngutogwa Efraimu. Hao eyanjile na bheigisibwa.
55 Was now near the Passover of the Jews, and went up many to Jerusalem out of the region before the Passover so that they may purify themselves.
Nawe Ipasaka ya Bhayaudi yaliga ayei nabhafu, nibhalinya okugenda Yerusalemu anja yo mu si ichali okubha ipasaka koleleki bhabhone okwiyesha abhene.
56 They were seeking therefore Jesus and were saying among one another in the temple already standing; What does it seem to you, that certainly not He may come to the feast?
Bhaliga nibhamuyenja Yesu, nibhaikana bhuli umwi awobhaliga bhemeleguyu muyekalu, “Omwiganilisha kutiki? Ati atakuja ku malya?”
57 Had given now (also *k*) the chief priests and the Pharisees (commands *N(K)O*) that if anyone shall know where He is he shall show [it], so that they may seize Him.
Omwanya gunu abhakulu bha bhagabhisi na bhafarisayo bhaliga bhasosishe obhulamusi ati alabha umwi akamenya Yesu anu ali, aiki koleleki bhabhone okumugwata.
