Joel 1
1 [the] word of Yahweh which it came to Joel [the] son of Pethuel.
La palabra del Señor que vino a Joel, el hijo de Petuel.
2 Hear this O elders and give ear O all [the] inhabitants of the land ¿ has it happened this in days your and or? in [the] days of ancestors your.
Presten atención a esto, ancianos, y tomen nota, ustedes habitantes de la tierra. ¿Ha sido esto alguna vez en sus días o en los días de sus padres?
3 On it to children your recount and children your to children their and children their to a generation another.
Cuéntales la historia a sus hijos, y que se la cuenten a sus hijos y a sus hijos a otra generación.
4 [the] remainder of The locust[s] it has eaten the locust[s] and [the] remainder of the locust[s] it has eaten the locust[s] and [the] remainder of the locust[s] it has eaten the locust[s].
Lo que el gusano no hizo, se lo llevó la langosta; y lo que la langosta no tomó fue alimento para el gusano de las plantas; y lo que el gusano de la planta no tomó, ha sido alimento para la mosca de campo.
5 Awake O drunkards and weep and wail O all drinkers of wine on sweet wine for it has been cut off from mouth your.
Sal de tu sueño, tú que estás abrumado por el vino, y échense a llorar; gritos de tristeza, todos ustedes bebedores de vino, a causa del vino dulce; porque ha sido quitado de sus bocas.
6 For a nation it has come up on land my mighty and there not [is] number teeth its [are the] teeth of a lion and [the] fangs of a lioness [belong] to it.
Porque ha surgido una nación sobre mi tierra, fuerte y numerosa; sus dientes son los dientes de un león, y él tiene los colmillos de un gran león.
7 It has made vine[s] my into a waste and fig tree[s] my into a stump completely it has stripped bare it and it has thrown [it] away they have become white branches its.
Por él se destruye mi vid. Y mi higuera; él la descortezado y echó abajo; sus ramas son de color blanco.
8 Wail like a virgin girded of sackcloth on [the] husband of youth her.
Hacen sonidos de dolor como una virgen vestida de cilicio por el esposo de su juventud.
9 It has been cut off grain offering and drink offering from [the] house of Yahweh they are in mourning the priests [the] servants of Yahweh.
La ofrenda de cereales y la ofrenda de bebida han sido cortadas de la casa del Señor; los sacerdotes, los siervos del Señor, están tristes.
10 It is devastated [the] field[s] it is dried up [the] ground for it is devastated [the] grain it has dried up [the] new wine it has dried out [the] fresh oil.
Los campos están desperdiciados, la tierra está de duelo; porque el grano es destruido, el vino nuevo se seca, el aceite se pierde.
11 Be ashamed O farmers wail O vinedressers on [the] wheat and on [the] barley for it has perished [the] harvest of [the] field.
Los granjeros están avergonzados, los trabajadores en los viñedos lloran de pena por el trigo y la cebada; porque el producto de los campos ha llegado a la destrucción.
12 The vine it has dried up and the fig tree it has dried out [the] pomegranate tree also [the] palm tree and [the] apple tree all [the] trees of the field they have dried up for it has been ashamed joy from [the] children of humankind.
La vid se ha secado y la higuera se marchita; la granada, la palmera y el manzano, incluso todos los árboles del campo, están secos; ciertamente se secó la alegría de los hijos de los hombres.
13 Gird yourselves and lament O priests wail O servants of [the] altar come spend [the] night in sackcloth O servants of God my for it has been withheld from [the] house of God your grain offering and drink offering.
Vístanse de cilicio y pónganse de luto, sacerdotes; Griten de dolor, siervos del altar. Vengan, pasen la noche vestidos de cilicio, siervos de mi Dios; porque la ofrenda de cereales y la ofrenda de bebida se ha apartado de la casa de su Dios.
14 Consecrate a fast call an assembly gather [the] elders all [the] inhabitants of the land [the] house of Yahweh God your and cry out to Yahweh.
Que se fije un tiempo para ayunar, una reunión sagrada, que los viejos, incluso toda la gente de la tierra, se reúnan en la casa del Señor tu Dios, clamando al Señor.
15 Alas! for the day for [is] near [the] day of Yahweh and like devastation from [the] Almighty it will come.
¡Ay de ese día! porque el día del Señor está cerca, y como destrucción de parte del Dios todo Poderoso, vendrá.
16 ¿ Not before eyes our food has it been cut off from [the] house of God our joy and rejoicing.
¿Nos quitaron la comida ante nuestros ojos? alegría y deleite de la casa de nuestro Dios?
17 They have shriveled [the] seeds under shovels their they are desolate [the] storehouses they have been torn down [the] granaries for it has dried up [the] grain.
Los granos se han vuelto pequeños y secos en el surco; los almacenes han sido asolados, los almacenes de granos derribados; porque el grano está seco y muerto.
18 How! it has groaned [the] livestock they have wandered in confusion [the] herds of cattle for not pasture [belongs] to them also [the] flocks of sheep they have suffered.
¡Qué sonidos de dolor provienen de las bestias! los rebaños de ganado están perdidos porque no hay pasto para ellos; incluso los rebaños de ovejas ya no se ven.
19 To you O Yahweh I call for fire it has consumed [the] pastures of [the] wilderness and a flame it has set ablaze all [the] trees of the field.
Oh Señor, mi clamor se dirige hacia ti; porque el fuego ha acabado con los pastizales del desierto, y todos los árboles del campo se queman con su llama.
20 Also [the] animals of [the] field it pants to you for they have dried up [the] channels of water and fire it has consumed [the] pastures of the wilderness.
Las bestias del campo braman por ti; porque las corrientes de agua están secas y el fuego ha devorado a los pastizales del desierto.
