Job 38
1 And he answered Yahweh Job (from - *Q(K)*) (the tempest *Q(k)*) and he said.
L’Eternel répondit à Job du sein de la tempête et dit:
2 Who? this - [is] making dark counsel by words not knowledge.
Quel est celui qui dénigre les desseins de Dieu par des discours dépourvus de sens?
3 Gird up please like a man loins your and I will ask you and make known to me.
Ceins donc tes reins comme un homme: je vais t’interroger et tu m’instruiras.
4 Where? were you when founded I [the] earth tell if you know understanding.
Où étais-tu lorsque je fondais la terre? Dis-le, si tu en as quelque connaissance.
5 Who? did he appoint measurements its for you know or who? did he stretch out on it a measuring-line.
Qui a fixé ses dimensions, si tu le sais, ou qui a tendu sur elle le cordeau?
6 On what? bases its were they sunk or who? did he lay [the] stone of corner its.
Sur quoi sont assis ses piliers, ou qui a lancé sa pierre angulaire,
7 When sang together [the] stars of morning and they shouted all [the] sons of God.
tandis que les étoiles du matin chantaient en chœur, et que tous les fils de Dieu poussaient des cris de joie?
8 And he shut off with doors [the] sea when burst forth it from [the] womb it came forth.
Qui a fermé la mer avec des portes, quand elle sortit jaillissante du sein maternel,
9 When made I cloud[s] clothing its and thick darkness swaddling-band its.
quand je lui donnai la nuée pour vêtement et une brume épaisse pour langes;
10 And I broke on it boundary my and I set in place a bar and doors.
quand je brisai son élan par mes barrières et lui posai des verrous et des portes,
11 And I said to here you will come and not you will add and here someone will fix in [the] pride of waves your.
et que je lui dis: "Jusqu’ici tu viendras et non au-delà: ici s’arrêtera l’orgueil de tes flots?"
12 ¿ From days your have you commanded morning (you caused to know the dawn *Q(K)*) place its.
As-tu jamais de ta vie donné des ordres au matin, assigné sa place à l’aurore,
13 To take hold on [the] corners of the earth so they may be shaken wicked [people] from it.
pour qu’elle saisisse les bords de la terre et en rejette les méchants en une secousse?
14 It is changed like [the] clay of a seal so they may stand forth like clothing.
Quand elle paraît, la terre se transforme comme l’argile sous le sceau, et les choses se présentent comme un riche vêtement.
15 So it may be withheld from wicked [people] light their and an arm uplifted it is broken.
Les méchants sont privés de leur lumière à eux, et leur bras déjà levé est brisé.
16 ¿ Have you gone to [the] springs of [the] sea and in [the] depth of [the] deep have you walked about?
As-tu pénétré jusqu’aux sources de la mer, as-tu circulé au fonds de l’abîme?
17 ¿ Have they been revealed to you [the] gates of death and [the] gates of deep darkness have you seen?
Les portes de la mort se sont-elles dévoilées devant toi? As-tu vu l’entrée du royaume des ombres?
18 Have you shown yourself attentive? to [the] broad spaces of [the] earth tell if you know all of it.
As-tu mesuré l’immense étendue de la terre? Dis-le, si tu sais tout cela.
19 Where? this [is] the way [where] it dwells light and darkness where? this [is] place its.
Quel chemin mène à la demeure de la lumière, et où est l’habitation des ténèbres,
20 That you will take it to territory its and that you will discern [the] paths of house its.
pour que tu les conduises dans leur domaine et reconnaisses les avenues de leur maison?
21 You know for then you were born and [the] number of days your [is] many.
Tu le sais sans doute! Car tu étais né dès lors, et grand est le nombre de tes jours!
22 ¿ Have you gone into [the] storehouses of snow and [the] storehouses of hail have you seen?
Es-tu entré dans les trésors de la neige, as-tu aperçu les dépôts de la grêle,
23 Which I have kept back for [the] time of distress for [the] day of battle and warfare.
que je tiens en réserve pour les temps de détresse, pour le jour du combat et de la guerre?
24 Where? this [is] the way [where] it is divided light [where] it scatters [the] east wind over [the] earth.
Quelle est la voie par où se disperse la lumière, par où le vent d’Est se répand sur la terre?
25 Who? does he divide for the flood a channel and a path for [the] storm of thunder claps.
Qui a creusé des rigoles à l’averse, une route à l’éclair sonore,
26 To send rain on a land not anyone a wilderness [which] not anyone [is] in it.
pour arroser des régions inhabitées, le désert où il n’y a pas d’hommes,
27 To satisfy devastation and desolation and to cause to sprout a going forth of vegetation.
pour abreuver les terres incultes et sauvages et faire pousser l’herbe nouvelle des prairies?
28 ¿ [is] there For the rain a father or who? does he father [the] drops of dew.
La pluie a-t-elle un père? Qui engendre les gouttes de la rosée?
29 From [the] womb of whom? does it come forth the ice and [the] frost of heaven who? does he give birth to it.
De quel sein sort la glace, et le givre du ciel, qui l’a enfanté?
30 Like stone waters they become hard and [the] surface of [the] deep they freeze.
Les eaux se condensent comme la pierre et la surface des eaux se contracte.
31 ¿ Will you bind on [the] bonds of Pleiades or? [the] chains of Orion will you loosen.
Est-ce toi qui noues les bandeaux des Pléiades ou qui relâches les liens de l’Orion?
32 ¿ Will you lead out [the] constellations at appropriate time its and [the] Bear with young ones its will you guide? them.
Est-ce toi qui fais paraître les planètes en leur temps et qui diriges la Grande-Ourse avec ses petits?
33 ¿ Do you know [the] statutes of [the] heavens or? do you appoint rule its over the earth.
Connais-tu les lois du ciel? Est-ce toi qui règles sa force d’action sur la terre?
34 ¿ Will you lift up to the cloud[s] voice your and an abundance of water will you cover? yourself.
Te suffit-il d’élever ta voix vers la nuée, pour qu’elle t’envoie des masses d’eau?
35 ¿ Will you send forth lightning so they may go and they may say to you here [are] we.
Est-ce toi qui commandes aux éclairs de partir? Te disent-ils: "Nous voici?"
36 Who? has he put in the inner parts wisdom or who? has he given to the heart understanding.
Qui a mis de la sagesse, dans la brume sombre, ou qui a donné au météore l’intelligence?
37 Who? will he count [the] clouds by wisdom and [the] waterskins of heaven who? will he make to lie down.
Qui pourrait dénombrer les nuages avec sagacité, et qui incline les amphores du ciel,
38 When flows [the] dust into lump and [the] clods they are joined together.
de manière à agréger la poussière en une masse compacte et à coller ensemble les glèbes de la terre?
39 ¿ Will you hunt for a lion prey and [the] life of young lions will you fill?
Est-ce toi qui poursuis la proie pour le lion, qui assouvis la voracité des lionceaux,
40 If they will crouch in dens they will remain in thicket for lying-in-wait.
lorsqu’ils sont tapis dans leurs tanières ou se tiennent aux aguets dans les fourrés?
41 Who? does he prepare for the raven food-supply its if (young ones its *Q(K)*) to God they will cry for help they will wander about for not food.
Qui prépare au corbeau sa pâture, quand ses petits crient vers Dieu et errent çà et là faute de nourriture?
