Job 28
1 For there for silver [is] a mine and a place for gold [which] people refine.
Doprawdy, istnieją złoża, [z których pochodzi] srebro, i miejsca, [gdzie] złoto się oczyszcza.
2 Iron from [the] dust it is taken and stone someone pours out copper.
Żelazo się wydobywa z ziemi, a miedź wytapia z kamienia.
3 An end - someone puts to the darkness and to every outermost part he [is] searching for [the] stone of gloom and deep darkness.
Kładzie się kres ciemności i przeszukuje się wszystko dokładnie, kamienie [leżące] w ciemności i cieniu śmierci.
4 He breaks open a shaft - away from with a sojourner forgotten from foot they hang down away from humankind they swing.
Rzeka wyleje ze swego miejsca, tak że nie sposób ją przejść, zostaje [jednak] zahamowana przemysłem człowieka i odchodzi.
5 [the] earth From it it comes forth food and under it it is turned over like fire.
Z ziemi pochodzi chleb, lecz pod nią zamienia się jakby w ogień.
6 [are] a place of Sapphire stones its and dust of gold [belong] to it.
Jej kamienie zawierają szafiry i piasek złoty;
7 [the] path Not it knows it a bird of prey and not it catches sight of it [the] eye of a hawk.
Ścieżki do nich nie zna ptak ani nie widziało jej oko sępa.
8 Not they tread it [the] sons of pride not it passes by on it a lion.
Nie kroczą po niej dzikie zwierzęta ani lew nią nie przeszedł.
9 On the flint he stretches out hand his he overturns from [the] root mountains.
Wyciąga swą rękę po krzemień, wywraca góry od korzenia;
10 In the rocks shafts he splits open and every precious thing it sees eye his.
Ze skał wykuwa strumienie, a jego oko wypatruje każdej kosztownej rzeczy.
11 From weeping rivers he restrains and secret her he brings out light.
Nie pozwala rozlewać się rzekom, a ukryte rzeczy wywodzi [na] światło.
12 And wisdom from where? will it be found and where? this [is the] place of understanding.
Ale gdzie można znaleźć mądrość? Gdzie znajduje się miejsce rozumu?
13 Not he knows humankind valuation its and not it is found in [the] land of the living [ones].
Człowiek nie zna jej ceny ani nie można jej znaleźć w ziemi żyjących.
14 [the] deep It says not [is] in me it and [the] sea it says not [it] [is] with me.
Głębia mówi: Nie ma jej we mnie. Morze powiada: U mnie też jej [nie ma].
15 Not it will be given fine gold for it and not it will be weighed out silver price its.
Nie nabywa się jej za szczere złoto ani nie odważa się zapłaty [za] nią w srebrze.
16 Not it will be paid in [the] gold of Ophir in onyx precious and sapphire.
Nie można jej wycenić w złocie z Ofiru ani w onyksie drogocennym, ani w szafirze.
17 Not it will be comparable to it gold and glass and [is] exchange its a vessel of pure gold.
Złoto i kryształ nie dorównają jej, nie można jej wymienić na klejnoty z czystego złota.
18 Corals and crystal not it is remembered and [the] price of wisdom [is] more than pearls.
Nie [wypada] wspominać o koralach i perłach, bo nabycie mądrości przewyższa perły.
19 Not it will be comparable to it topaz of Cush in gold pure not it will be paid.
Nie dorówna jej topaz z Etiopii i nie [można] jej wycenić w szczerym złocie.
20 And wisdom from where? does it come and where? this [is the] place of understanding.
Skąd więc mądrość pochodzi? I gdzie znajduje się miejsce rozumu?
21 And it has been concealed from [the] eyes of every living [thing] and from [the] bird[s] of the heavens it has been hidden.
Przecież jest zakryta dla oczu wszystkich żyjących i utajona przed ptactwem niebieskim.
22 Abaddon and death they say with ears our we have heard report its.
Zniszczenie i śmierć mówią: Własnymi uszami usłyszałyśmy o jej sławie.
23 God he understands way its and he he knows place its.
Bóg rozumie jej drogę, on zna jej miejsce.
24 For he to [the] ends of the earth he looks under all the heavens he sees.
On bowiem patrzy na krańce ziemi i widzi wszystko, co jest pod niebem.
25 To make for the wind weight and [the] waters he has measured with a measure.
Określił wagę wiatrom i odważył miarą wody.
26 When made he for the rain a decree and a path for [the] storm of thunder claps.
Gdy ustanowił prawo dla deszczu i drogę dla błyskawicy gromu;
27 Then he saw it and he recounted it he established it and also he examined it.
Wtedy ją widział i ogłosił; przygotował ją i przebadał.
28 And he said - to humankind here! [the] fear of [the] Lord that [is] wisdom and to turn from evil [is] understanding.
A do człowieka powiedział: Oto bojaźń Pana, ona jest mądrością, a odstąpienie od zła [jest] rozumem.
